HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@missy you look adorable and well coordinated! That would be me , color matched. LOL Such a cute pooch! I love pooches!!!!!!! I was looking at old jewellery posts last night and had forgotten how gorgeous your diamond cluster ring is. Perfect on your index finger!!!! Is it getting any love these days?

My DH went for a ride while I had lunch out and errands with DS. He said it was cool by the water. 12C so not too balmy. Hopefully we'll get out together tomorrow for a spin.

I need to put my flower pots in the compost--they've lasted a long time!!! The snow did them in, as they were still blooming!

Stay safe and well folks!

cheers--Sharon

Happy Saturday lovelies

No pool work yesterday, as we had more rain! Back to stage 4 restrictions, so no watering at all.

Fabulous autumn scenery @missy, it must've been a lovely ride taking in all that glorious colour. I'm not surprised you didn't want ice cream, sounds more like hot chocolate weather. Hope you had fun today and got more doggy cuddles.

Yum to a delicious Italian meal @canuk-gal, I'd take that over other things too.

Sounds like you're going to be cooking up a storm @bling_dream19, what time do you want us over?

I can't remember if I mentioned our friend Sue has been diagnosed with an arrhythmia so she's waiting for her cardiologist appt on Tuesday to see if she gets the all clear to go on the trip. She's confident all will be well, so we're all keeping our fingers crossed.

I went for a long walk with our lovely neighbour yesterday afternoon, we go and nosey in all the houses under construction  It was coolish but perfect for walking, we ended up being out for 2 hours.

Nothing on the cards for this weekend just chilling.

Have a great weekend lovely NIRDIs. :wavey:

Good morning girls and happy Sunday!

@canuk-gal haha thank you. Yes Greg finds it incredibly amusing that I have to coordinate even when it is under a coat so you will never see it. I just like to color coordinate. Aww thanks and no I have not given the cluster any love. I think it is in Brooklyn...It's funny because I don't miss any of my bling and I have Bubbalah with me and a few other important pieces but maybe when we go back I will get it. Thanks for reminding me... I hope you get to cycle today and the weather cooperates. Definitely cooler by the water...enjoy!

@Austina yes it is so lovely when the leaves are changing. Red, yellow, orange...Gorgeous colors by Mother Nature. I even find the bare trees in winter to be hauntingly beautiful. I do enjoy all the seasons but the cold is hardest for me to bare. I feel it to my bones if you kwim. I do bundle up and use heat packs in my gloves and those help a lot. It was an enjoyable ride yesterday. Cool but less windy than the day before. Sounds like so much fun walking the neighborhood with a new friend and seeing all the activity and new houses coming up. I would be nosy too lol. I hope your Sunday is wonderful.

Hello @bling_dream19 @Slickk @MamaBee @marcy @springerspaniel @mrs-b and everyone else. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend filled with autumn colors and lots of fun.
We enjoyed a nice long cycling day yesterday and saw M again woohoo. And a few other furry babies. I love seeing them so much and it really adds to the fun of the day

One of our fellow cyclists...we always see him and his pups. He takes his pups with him wherever he goes. Including cycling. He's a hoot. A real character. He's always inviting us to go on his boat but we never did get around to that this year. He's having a Halloween party Monday afternoon but I don't want to risk it and socialize with others at this point yet. Sorry I just don't feel safe to do mingling yet. Anyway he's a blast and he totally gets the riding obsession and like me he'd be lost if he couldn't ride

Our ice cream of the day yesterday (yes we had ice cream as the weather was pretty pleasant yesterday) was yummmmm

And finally our HPOTD...getting down to the final days of Halloween photos. Hope you are enjoying them :)

Bwahahaha :errrr::evil2::eek2: have a spookalicious Sunday all. XOXO

@Austina I forgot to write that I hope your friend Sue is OK and she gets the go ahead to take the trip. My fingers are crossed for her.

Speaking of Autumn this photo from before the pandemic popped up this morning...one of my favorite NYC autumn photos actually...Brooklyn is beautiful. I do miss Brooklyn. Well, at least the Brooklyn I remember and love from the 90s and 2000s and 2010s...now not so much. Politicans have made a mess of things and I am not sure when or if we will go back. But I am not ready to sell. I might never be ready to sell.

Adding a Halloween bonus photo since we are almost done with the HPOTD

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy love all of you Halloween pictures. Such fun to see the different decorations. Mmm ice cream. Your new tandem bike looks great, yay it’s red. Darn the frame was bent on the part shipped to the shop. Glad they returned it. Grr, you have to wait longer though. Nice the boardwalk was all yours. Sweet. Yes, I am glad the majority of my rings include free sizing. I was just looking, I think there are 8 to 10, I’ll need to pay for; some I may not size just now. It’s not like I won’t have a ring to wear. Ha Ha. Good deal you got a good report card at the retinal specialist. Wow, spectacular colors on the fall tree. I hope M’s son gets in to the college he wants. Those pups are adorable. Love your NYC fall photo of your beautiful smiling face.

@Austina as I just mentioned to Missy, luckily most of my rings are under some type of warranty on them. I know all of us here don’t lack for rings to wear. I’ve been donating the bears at Kay’s for since I discovered them decades ago. I brought home the first one 14 years ago now. That one matched the colors of our living room. Then I bought Marty a killer rabbit that year and the insanity began. Your pool is looks great. I’m glad the thrill-o-meter isn’t pegging on anything for you. That’s good with me too. Good luck to your friend Sue. We totally used to go check out all the construction in the neighborhood too when places were being built. The benefit of being the first one for easily two blocks in any direction.

Hi @springerspaniel

@canuk-gal nice you went out for Italian. We did too on Friday. It was nice for a change. This protein all the time gets old for me. If you have breaks in the snow like we do, I bet you can cycle some more this year. We get wide weather swings will in to December. Then it says “hold my beer” for a few months. Thanks for the recommendations on Stariing from Scratch. Strange, I don’t have much time to watch TV these days. Darn the snow did in your flowers. I turned off our drip system while Marty was back east, we still had a few flowers in bloom until the recent freezes.

@bling_dream19 glad you are baking and cooking this weekend. I was wishing I had cookies today.

Well, since I was here Thursday, I worked more than a retired person usually works. Friday, Marty came upstairs saying he’d worked enough for the week and wanted to know if we could go out to lunch. I had a gift card from Christmas last year at Olive Garden so we went to eat there. I should have know he had ulterior motives when he mentioned “and go for a ride”. We visited a few local RV dealers. He has the bug to get something he can go camp to get up before sunrise the next day to take photos. He also looked at a small toy hauler so he could store his scopes in it. IMO, that is a lot of money for something I bet he’d use 6-10 times in the first year, then it would fall off. I smiled and enjoyed the outing though. If he gets something that small, I hope he realizes his wife is staying home. The toy hauler was funny, our 5th wheel was a 40 foot toy hauler with the back about 10 to 12 foot where we stored our telescopes. So we are in this maybe 20 foot toy hauler and I point at the back and said and how big is the toy hauler part back there - the salesman and Marty looked at me and said ‘ you’re standing in it.” Oops. We will see. He doesn’t have much free time between work and the gym.

Saturday we slept in for a change and relaxed, including watching some of our favorite movies.

Today we went out for breakfast and then stopped at a store where I’ve purchased, nice warm clothing before. We left with stuff for Marty, but I didn’t find any warm clothes I wanted. Since we were shopping longer than expected, we dropped Marty off at the gym and I headed home. I started laundry, lifted and did a bit of work before I had to go back and pick Marty up at the gym.

We had baked potatoes and grilled picanha for dinner. Plus, ice cream for dessert. I worked a few hours and am ready to just watch TV for a while. I keep trying to work on mini me #2 but the skin on my fingers are all dry, so that doesn’t work with yarn.

Marty must be feeling a bit better. He took one of my bears on Friday and said he was “going to the man cave with him.” I found the bear playing trivia with one of his killer rabbits on the bar downstairs. Marty told my my bear wasn’t very bright, he hasn’t got one question right yet.

I have about 700 pieces of Halloween candy to hand out tomorrow. We get a crowd here in our neighborhood.

Take care.
Marcy

Good morning girls and happy Halloween! And a very happy birthday to my mom!

@marcy yay Marty is feeling better. Glad you enjoyed lunch at the Olive Garden. I have never been there and not even sure we have one here. LOL I haven't been anywhere out to eat since 2019. As for you working more than a retired person heck yeah you do. But you enjoy it and that is what matters. I am enjoying retirement but there is nothing wrong with enjoying working especially because that money can be used for bling :) Speaking of which that is right...you will never run out of rings to wear but hopefully you can get the other rings resized at a fair and reasonable cost. Everything is expensive these days. I mean everything. Money has lost value for sure. That's a lot of Halloween candy haha. We have a big bag we bought from Costco and we probably will be leaving it out in a basket for kids to take a few pieces. But our neighbor warned us some kids will take more than their fair share. I just don't want to answer the door and hand out candy personally due to Covid. So not sure how this will play out but we bought one big bag and that is all we have so hopefully everyone who comes here will be able to take some candy. We do not want leftovers that is for sure lol. Glad to see the bear getting along with the killer bunny. Who won the trivia game? I think the bunny was cheating fwiw.

@Slickk are you doing any Halloween activities in school today? Are the kids and teachers dressing up?

@bling_dream19 do you expect to have a lot of trick or treaters to come to your door today?

@canuk-gal do you guys partake in Halloween? Hope the weather is cooperating by you. It's been lovely here and today continues til later when the rain arrives

@Austina do you anticipate you will be getting many trick or treaters or maybe none since you are in a new development? If you do have Halloweeners coming to your door I hope you enjoy this (silly) tradition of handing out candy. LOL if I had kids I probably wouldn't want them to trick or treat. Especially now. Hope you have a good day

@MamaBee hope you had a good weekend and enjoyed

@mrs-b happy Halloween

@springerspaniel have a good week. November is here in 18 hours. How did it get here so fast? Oy to the vey

Hi everyone else. Another spooktacular day yesterday cycling and enjoying the lovely weather. Today is the last day of nice weather as rain comes in later. Tomorrow I have a new gyn appointment and I am hoping it goes OK. I am a bit nervous. Today we are off cycling again. Looking very much forward to it. Have a wonderful Halloween girls. Enjoy.

Yummy ice cream

It seems like yesterday we met in Roma after my European summer adventure where I was in Europe for three months by myself. She was in her early 40s here. Time flies. It just goes so (too) fast.

Happy birthday to your beloved mom @missy ❤️ I hope she enjoys a wonderful day!!
There will be some dressing up today but I do not really partake beyond my T-shirt (see below). I also have on my mom’s spider (one dangle) and web (the other dangle) earrings. Love them ❤️
Also, took these pics this weekend at a local $100m estate.

Happy Halloween! We came to Maryland last night so we could leave for Virginia this morning. My grandson will be in a Halloween parade. Later..we will go trick or treating with them..I’m dressing as a witch..complete with a broom....We’ll drive back to Maryland tonight...so we can leave tomorrow to head back to Pennsylvania. IWe have been beyond busy. i hope to catch up at some point! Enjoy the day! Boo!

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@MamaBee you are busy! Take care with all the travel and have fun!
@missy our weather is turning quite gloomy...snow. Much too early as I know it will stick. I've really enjoyed your Halloween pictures!!! And that skeleton unicorn was too funny!!! Happy BD to your beautiful Mother!
@marcy it is good you are keeping busy. I'm not very good at sitting around.
@Austina it is fun poking around new builds--interesting to see what people choose. Hope your friend is OK.
@Slickk your tee shirt is very cute!!!

I got my stitches out today--from my lipoma removal last week. Luckily it was by my hairline so not terribly noticeable but I wanted it gone. Still sore so I didn't wear my helmet cycling.

I hope work isn't too stressful this week, but it prolly will be. Somethings never change.

cheers--Sharon

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy my old boss would hate your “eyeball” pictures. He can’t stand anything about eyes. They are great though. Love all of your pictures. I have no idea if you have Olive Gardens where you live. I remember seeing a similar looking place with a slightly different name when we were in Maryland but don’t remember what it’s called. It’s not the greatest Italian, but not bad. LOL, I did just make up my October invoice and I worked 161 hours over the month. Yes, it’s good to have bling money. Right now, I’m worried about how many medical bills I’m going to have though. Yes, everything is crazy expensive right now and what is even more concerning, do prices ever really go back down? I thought of sticking my bowl of candy out but worry a dog might get in to it and then get sick eating chocolate. I have my giant Tupperware bowl full and ready to go. I am with you, I am sure the killer bunny is cheating. Darn, the rain is coming back but glad you got to go cycling today. Good luck at your gyno appointment tomorrow. Happy Birthday to your mom.

@Slickk beautiful tree. Love the colors. Great t-shirt.

@MamaBee you have a busy day. Enjoy trick or treating with your grandson. I hope the parade was fun. Safe travels. Watch out for other brooms too. Ha Ha.

@canuk-gal yay for getting your stitches out today. Good luck with that. I hope your work week is nice and pleasant. I am not good at sitting around either. I guess you knew that though.

I got up about 6:30. I need to leave my phone on the charger though, it takes me longer and longer to get in the shower, get dressed and eat breakfast. I used to be able to get that accomplished in about 40 minutes when I had to drive to work. I had it down to 35 minutes when I worked at home but often logged in while I was getting dressed.

I worked until about 5 today and now am waiting for my first cute trick or treater. Guess, I’ll just stay in my office, aka - the den to watch TV. It’s close to the door.

Take care.
Marcy

Hello lovelies

 I love the eyeball photos @missy, very creative. Happy belated birthday to your Mum, wishing her many more! I hope your gyn appt went well, it’d certainly be great to get some resolution to the problem, it’s been going on for far too long. Glad the eye appt was good news. Boo to the rain, we seem to be having a fair amount ourselves lately, it’s much needed, so we shouldn’t complain. Thanks for the good wishes for Sue (more later).

Wow @marcy, I can’t believe you had that many trick or treaters, word must’ve gone out that you were loaded with treats  I can’t believe you’re working so many hours, you’re putting us retired people to shame! As you say, the extra $$ can always be put to good use.

What a view @Slickk, the colours of the foliage are spectacular. Love the T-shirt, and the earrings sound fun. How’s the little Bear doing?

Glad you got your stitches out @canuk-gal and the scar won’t be noticeable, fingers crossed your work week won’t be too stressful.

Hope everything is going well with you and the pupsters @springerspaniel. It certainly sounds like you’re job is keeping you busy.

How’re things with you @mrs-b, is Tim over his jet-lag now?

They came and did the tile layer in the pool yesterday, and are here today putting up the forms for the deck area. We’re feeling a bit peeved that after selling us the pool heater, we have to find someone to hook it up, which is going to be complicated and expensive

We’ve been waiting anxiously to hear from Sue, and hallelujah, she had her appt with the cardiologist today, and he’s given her the all clear for the trip. Obviously our main concern was that she was OK, but we knew how devastated they’d be if they couldn’t go.

We only had 2 trick or treaters yesterday, the protocol was if you’re porch light was on, they could knock, but they came before dark. We didn’t answer the door anyway

Must get on with some cleaning, so have a great day lovely NIRDIs
:wavey:

I love your photos @missy you sure put me in the Halloween spirit! Happy birthday to your beautiful mom! I hope she had a wonderful day. We had a decent amount of truck or treaters! The kids were really nice and loved our decor and it felt good to see the kids happy and having fun!
I can't believe it's November, one of my favorite months. The leaves are beautiful and I just love walking in the fall.
Love and hugs to all!

Hi NIRDI's!

@Austina that is the same trick or treat protocol here, but they often come before dark. I turned my porch lights on about 4:30. Our neighborhood really draws the crowds. When Marty came home from the gym, he said there were cars parked everywhere on the roads coming in to the neighborhood. I am sorry you continue to have issues getting your pool installed and completed. Someday it will be a distant memory, and you'll love relaxing by your pool. That is awesome news about Sue.

@bling_dream19 glad you had fun with trick or treaters.

We had 178 kids and I was out of candy in about 2 1/2 hours. There was a steady stream of kids. My nephews and I had a competition who would get the most. I won. I keep teasing them I am expecting a steak dinner.

We had lovely weather again today for November. I grilled steaks for lunch. And yes, worked most of the day.

Take care.
Marcy

GM girls and happy wonderful Wednesday!

@Austina thank you. I saw the new gyn yesterday and like him so yay. He agrees with my plan of continuing forced sheds and doing pelvic ultrasounds to monitor. He doesn't known why I am spotting but I am pleased he did not overreact and that he is fine with how I am handling it. Unfortunately I got bad news regarding my eyes yesterday. We saw an OD and he diagnosed severe cataracts for my right eye. The retinal specialists only know retinas so yeah he missed that. And my best corrected VA is 20/50 so not good. This type of cataract moves fast so I am concerned I might need surgery soon and because I am so myopic I am at much greater risk of an Retinal Detachment with this surgery. Oh well. It is rare to get a severe PSC at my age without having been on steroids but my high myopia is the likely culprit. One day at a time. I am getting new glasses and we shall see if I can manage them. Another big issue is it's only my R eye so if I had surgery I would not be able to tolerate glasses due to a big difference in refractive error between the r and l eye after surgery. So it's a conundrum for sure. Haha welcome to my world where conundrum is the norm. LOL. And yay glad Sue got a good bill of health and she can make the trip with you. Wonderful update. Sorry about the pool heater hook up being not done by the guys you thought would do it. That doesn't seem right and I am sorry you have to find someone now to do that.

@bling_dream19 thank you. And I love November too. Love autumn. It has been pretty mild here these past two weeks. Hope you enjoy a wonderful November my dear sweet friend

@canuk-gal aww I am sorry that area is sensitive after the stitches were removed and I hope it is feeling much better today. So you can wear your helmet and ride. Thank you for enjoying my photos of Halloween and for my mom's birthday wishes. I hope work goes well for you and is not stressful. And you get to ride and enjoy lovely weather

@marcy wow that's a lot of kids. We had about two dozen I think. We left candy out in a bowl and every one took a fair share and weren't selfish about it. I am impressed with the kids here. Glad you enjoyed a good dinner and glad you are enjoying work too

@springerspaniel happy November...hope you are having a good week

Hi @MamaBee hope you have good news soon

@Slickk loved that shirt you wore and I am sure the kids enjoyed the day very much and hope you did too

Good morning @mrs-b hope you and Tim are feeling well and doing well

Hi everyone else. We had a busy day yesterday. Gynecology in the AM (I like this new gynecologist very much yay) then ran errands (Costco, TJs and then we both had eye exams with an OD and then it was evening. Very busy day and went fast.

Today we are cycling woohoo and then later I have my zoom call with my friends and it's been a whirlwind of a week. Friday we both see the derm and next Monday I have a slew of pulmonary tests etc at Columbia Presbyterian. So not looking forward to those.

And somehow, somewhere in between all these appointments I have to find time and energy to repeat more blood tests. So not looking forward to those for many reasons not least of which is getting the results. Which are always unpleasant it seems these days. But one day at a time is the best any of us can do and so that remains my mantra.

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday filled with joy, peace and lots of fun. Be well. XOXO

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@missy sorry about your cataract! My DH is a high myope as well. Enjoy your cycling.
@Austina good news about your friend! Why do vendors sell products they cannot install, repair, & service?
@marcy glad you are keeping busy with work and that Marty is feeling better.

We've had 26 hours of snow. Frightful, crappy weather! And it is here to stay. Cold temps ensuing. Too early, too much, too soon. Glad our tries were swapped over. Suffice it to say our cycling season is over.

Maybe I'll put the snow globes out.

Waiting on a phone visit from my GP--get my barium swallow results. I had a physical appt today--but the treacherous weather stopped me from travelling across town.

cheers--Sharon

Good morning girls! Happy terrific Thursday!

@canuk-gal another amazing day yesterday cycling and more of the same today. I hope you are enjoying a lovely week despite all that snow...too much snow I hope you got that phone call from your GP about your barium swallow results and I hope it is good news. I am sorry about your DH's cataract. That high myopia puts us at greater risk. Have a wonderful day and may all that snow melt and may some warmer weather return for you

@bling_dream19 hope you are enjoying a lovely week

@Slickk before we know it Thanksgiving will be here. Too fast but that's the way it goes...have a wonderful day

@MamaBee hope your mom is doing well and all is going smoothly by you and you are enjoying a lovey autumn week. We turn the clocks back this weekend. I wish we could stick to one time...standard or daylight savings. At this point I don't care which but it would be nice to choose one and stay with it

Hi @Austina hope all is going well

Hi everyone else. We have another lovely day in store here. Temps in the 60s F with sun and just beautiful for November. Yesterday we enjoyed a nice ride and then I had a good zoom call with my friends. I decided not to do blood work this morning. I hate fasting and so it's hard for me to keep doing lab work. But I do have to pick a day and go with it. Maybe next week because tomorrow AM I have a derm appointment so it cannot be tomorrow. Anyway that's my update and we are looking forward to another good day cycling. And hopefully more furry babies. We always see our furry friends and that makes me happy. Hope you all have a happy day. Big hugs

Have a terrific Thursday! XOXO

Hello lovelies

Ugh, you couldn’t make this stuff up  We had 2 people come yesterday to quote for hooking up the pool heater. One of them quoted a minimum of $35,000!!!o_O Totally ridiculous, and we told him no thanks. However, he did point out that the pool heater is for propane, not natural gas:doh: So we contacted the pool people, and yep, they’ve delivered and installed the wrong one. We’re waiting to hear back from the other, but if the cost is ridiculous, we’ll just tell the pool people to take the wrong one away, and refund us the cost as it’s entirely their fault.

26 hours of snow @canuk-gal :oops2: yikes, I hope you get your results soon, the waiting is a nightmare. Sorry to hear about DH’s cataract, years ago I was told I had one, but subsequent eye exams haven’t shown anything up.

Awww the puppy :kiss2: Greg @missy, that’s clear to see, and he obviously loves her. Glad you‘ve had riding weather, it’s definitely cooler here, ‘only’ 75 degs (which we used to consider summer in the UK). Sorry to hear you’ve got more medical appts to come, it seems like there isn’t a week that goes by when you don’t. :(

Hope all the lovely NIRDIs are doing well, we’re on the countdown now, lots of things to do, nothing major, just small things.

Take care, love and hugs to you all :wavey:

Hi NIRDI's!

@missy great pictures and love the fall leaves. We are getting our first snow as I type. That's great you liked your new gyno and you can stick with your current plans. I am so sorry to hear about your cataract, my right eye has what my eye doctor called an adolescent one, naturally it would be on my good eye. If it was on the one with the scarred macula, I don't know it would be worth fixing. Glad the kids didn't just take all of your candy. Glad to you have decent weather still to cycle.

@canuk-gal thanks, I am glad Marty is feeling better too. When I went downstairs to lift yesterday, he'd put a little open pocket knife in the Killer rabbit's mouth - pointing it at bear. I moved it over to the bear. I need to go downstairs and see what is going on now. Sounds like you got a lot of snow. It started snowing here a few hours ago. Looks like it's piling up fast. I hope your test results are good.

@Austina oh no about the pool heater. It's always something. I hope that gets straightened out.

Not much different going on here. I got up about 6:15 and worked most of the day. That stopped to cook lunch and do the dishes takes more than an hour, but the best part is NOT doing them after work.

Two of my rings are ready to pick up at the mall and I planned on going to pick them up after I signed off work and eat supper at the mall, but that got cancelled since it's snowing. The squall parka I bought from Land's End on sale this summer didn't work too well to walk over to the mailbox. The wind went right through it. Luckily, my warmest squall parka from them was safely tucked in my back bedroom closet and it fits me again. Even a bit loose but I have lots of fleece jackets I can wear under it. Ha!

Take care.
Marcy

GM girls and happy FriYAY!

@marcy thank you and oh no to snow. You and @canuk-gal are getting too much snow too early. I hear predictions for a cold snowy winter here and well I will just say I hope they are wrong wrong wrong. I don't mind a day or two of snow but that's my limit haha. Sorry about your teenager/adolescent cataract being on your good eye but take heart. Most cataract surgeries go smoothly. It's only the high myopes that are more risky a procedure. Figures right lol. Anyway may your weather be calm and mild and cannot wait for you to enjoy your newly sized rings. And yes, I have the LE Squall parka and it's good on 50 degree days hahaha. Layering is key. Though my Canada Goose coats are decently warm but not to the temp extremes they advertise. Once it goes to 30 F I am just cold no matter what I wear  What can I say...my body wasn't built for extreme temperatures either way

@Austina oh no that really is not right. I am sorry the estimate they gave you was crazy. Are you thinking of doing without a pool heater? I grew up with a pool and the heater was a must as we swam during cooler weather and it made it so enjoyable. I hope you don't have to give that up and instead I hope you find someone who willing to install at a reasonable fee. And that you get the heater you want. Propane, that is not right if you have access to natural gas. SMH. Why are people so sloppy in what they do?

@bling_dream19 @Slickk @rainwood @mrs-b @canuk-gal @MamaBee and everyone else, good morning!

So Greg and I made a mistake yesterday and unfortunately our medical appointments were yesterday and not today as we both thought. OMG we never messed up like that before. Fortunately the office didn't seem upset and just rescheduled us and I hope the doctor isn't upset with us. I am really mortified as I not only never miss an appointment I am never late either and somehow we thought it was today and not yesterday. Sigh. It wasn't an important appointment for me (derm) but Greg was due for his body check but he is not concerned. So I am lol. Anyway we rescheduled for January. And in December Greg has mole safe anyway so that is an important step in this complete picture.

This morning was freed up (since we didn't have the doctor appointments) for Lab work but I didn't feel like doing it so I was lazy and did not and stayed home enjoying my morning coffee. I hate that I am being so lazy but I just didnt feel like waiting out in the cold for an hour and fasting to boot. But now that we turn the clocks back it's going to be even harder to fast and I am supposed to do the lab work at the same time for these tests. 7AM. But since we are turning clocks back I now cannot do it at 7AM since that is now really going to be 6AM and they do not open til 7AM. See my dilemma? So I should have gone this morning but again I was just not motivated. I am pretty tired. I could go tomorrow as we aren't turning the clocks back til the overnight but Saturday is not the day you want to go. It's the B team and it's crowded so I resign myself about not doing it at the right time. And will probably wait now til the end of November to do this lab work. Double sigh.

We had a great day cycling yesterday and we have another gorgeous weather day on tap so yay for that. Looking forward to it. I hope everyone has a friYAY with lots of YAY and a very happy weekend. Sending my sweet friends here lots of love and well wishes. Enjoy this gorgeous day and have a wonderful weekend. XOXO

HI:

NIRDI shout out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice day today , but that is it for "nice" weather. Snow and blistering cold soon on its way. The thought gives me a dreadful headache. Truly.

My Barium swallow was completely normal. I must have silent reflux as the PPI's do help. The joys of aging!

It is super icy outside. I could have fallen 10 x yesterday and today. And the spikes on my Olang boots are worn down and the replacement parts need to be ordered. I should have done this in the Spring.

Busy day today with errands and lunch out with DH.

Next week is very busy with work, etc etc. Too high on the thrill o meter for me.

@Austina sorry about your pool issues. Is it possible that people are really nincompoops?

@missy keep on cycling. As we are done (thanks weather), I'll live vicariously through you.

cheers--Sharon

GM girls and happy Caturday Saturday!
I woke up and decided nope no lab work today. I am waiting for at least a few weeks. I need a respite from all this. Though Monday I have many tests at Columbia I am not looking forward to but a respite from blood work at least lol

@canuk-gal OK I will be cycling like crazy so you can enjoy too! We hit 8,000 miles on the bike yesterday mid ride woohoo! How's that for a lot of cycling lol. Our new frame was delivered again to the bike dealer but we have not yet heard from him. Hopefully it's not damaged this time. But we do have two other bikes we can ride so no worries here.

@MamaBee what weekend plans do you have? Hope whatever you do is fun

@bling_dream19 happy Caturday Saturday!

@Slickk enjoy the weekend dear girl!

@springerspaniel hope you had a good week and an even better weekend is on the way

@marcy hope you receive a good medical update and have a great weekend

Hi everyone else, we had a great cycling day yesterday and more is coming today. We might hit 70. Too warm lol and Monday we are supposed to hit 80. Oh my goodness. Enjoy a wonderful day girls. XOXO

Forgot to share. It was super foggy all day yesterday. I took this photo as we were cycling in Sea Bright. It was like this everywhere. Warm air meeting the sea

HI:

NIRDI about out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@missy I cannot believe your super Nov temps! I'm going to not think about it, cuz I'll cry in my cheerios. It was snowing fairly heavily at 0630 this am but has stopped now. Windy and -3C.. BLARG!

My DH and I are staying in so we tackled some furniture rearranging. He whined and whined  but we got it done! Good to vacuum behind stuff that never gets moved. Good job for a poor weather day. I won't tell him I have another project in mind....LOL

Had lovely chats with my dear friend and one sister.

cheers--Sharon

Hi NIRDI’s!

@missy I know - I can’t believe we’ve got snow on the ground. It’s like November or something. Good one though that snow only lasts a day or two. @canuk-gal and I “wish”. Sadly I am high myopes as well. Oh well, what can we do? I am totally with you on cold and temperature extremes. People tease me I have a temperature tolerance of one to two degrees. It’s probably true. I’m cold right now. Shocking, I know. Darn you messed up on appointments, glad they readily adjusted them for you and Greg. Good luck with your tests this week and adjusting to the time change. I am not looking forward to that either. I wish they’d just pick one way or the other and leave it! Glad you had a nice ride and delicious ice cream. Cute picture of the kitties and the pumpkin.

@canuk-gal darn the weather is moving in. We are crazy windy here today, I can hear it howling right now. Our snow hasn’t melted yet either. That’s great news your test results were okay. Darn on the silent reflux though. Aging isn’t for sissies and I learn more about that each day. Be careful on the ice. I had Marty hold on to me several places today for that very reason.

We went out for breakfast. I started my day off with a mimosa. Ha Ha. FedEx and the mall wasn’t open yet after breakfast but we did stop and pick up stuff at Walgreens. Then I ventured back to the mall and FedEx. I now have two rings that fit me. I asked this jeweler what they charge for sizing and came home and got four rings to take back. I am having my bands sized and they are putting a new half shank on my WG rhodolite garnet ring. That’ll be six rings that fit. I had them polish my mom’s wedding band so I can wear it when my diamond ring is off for sizing. The place I buy my sapphire rings from will cry when I show up with that batch of rings to be sized.

We also went to look at travel trailers and camper shells. Marty seems bent on getting another one. If he wants me to ever go with him though, it needs to be the travel trailer with a decent bathroom and kitchen area. At least I can go camping again and enjoy the stars.

Have a lovely weekend.
Marcy

Another vibrant sunrise today:

@marcy do you mind telling me how much you pay for resizing?

Hello lovelies

Happy SaturYay!

What a lovely Goldie @missy Oops, sorry you got the dates messed up, but I’m not surprised with all the appts you have. I’m with you on giving the blood tests a rest for now, you have so much going on, and if you don’t think it’s going to make much difference, take a break from it. With regards to the pool heater, we’re still waiting on the quote, and the pool people have given us the name of someone else. Failing that, Colin has been researching heat pumps, which actually looks like a better option. Most days we’re generating 100% electricity from the solar, and even putting some back to the grid, and we’d only need the heater when it’s cooler, so we’d be heating it for free. Woohoo for hitting 8000 miles!!!! Let’s hope the new bike frame is in one piece and can be sorted out quickly.

SNOW!!!! o_O NOOOOOOO @canuk-gal, it’s 71 degs here today and in to the 80’s from tomorrow. Good job on getting the furniture moved and cleaning behind/under it. Be careful out there. Glad the barium swallow came back all clear, one less thing to worry about.

Glad you got your rings resized @marcy, would it be worth getting sizing beads rather than altering the shanks? That’s good news that Marty is starting to feel a little better and taking an interest in other things. I’m with you, unless the RV is the same as a nice hotel room with a good bathroom, I’m staying home  Stunning sunrise photo!

The came and collected the Bobcat yesterday, and are supposed to be concreting on Monday, and clearing all the debris on Wednesday, then will be back later on to surface the pool and do the kool crete surface.

Not planning on doing much this weekend, as we’ve got a busy week ahead!

Have a great weekend lovely NIRDI, big love and hugs to you all. :wavey:

@marcy do you mind telling me how much you pay for resizing?

@canuk-gal not at all. Kay's quoted me $150 per size. The other place told me $55 for yellow gold (any size difference) and $85 for WG. I decided that was the best place to take them. WF quoted me $125 per ring and it's their rings. I am sending them my diamond ring, but I figured the bands were fine to get done with this jeweler. Luckily the majority of my rings are from places that include free sizing.

@Austina I am totally on board with you - on a camper better be nice. I am not much of a back to nature person. I like my modern comforts and conveniences. We just went back to look at a larger toy hauler but the wind out there was so nuts even Marty didn't want to get out of the car. I guess most of the highways in the state are closed due to semi's tipped over. Aak! Glad they are getting more done on the pool. Soon it will be finished. Yay!
