Mom is feeding the 2 chicks. They are getting bigger.

Threw some seeds into a pot and got these along with marigolds, cosmos, morning glories and zinnias. These are quite small but so pretty.

Couldnt get too close I'd scare hummingbird away...zoomed it the best I could. Didn't know they loved lavender bush

The 3rd osprey chick has hatched, though is hard to distinguish in this pile of babies. Remains of egg can be seen on the right and in back.
Mom is calling for a fish, so probably a feeding will happen soon.

Interesting observation the other day.
Heard a hammering sound above me and saw this female Downy drumming the hollow gall.

I thought it was some weird fruit.

I later read about gall-forming aphid and those trees are so infested. Both yike but oh so fascinating.

The 3 stork chicks are growing fast! A wing stretch and preening.
The one preening itself was preening the youngest a few minutes earlier.
