we like the pampers so far too fiery...!

oh i didnt realize they come in ranges of sizes, we have only seen the ones that are ''1'' or ''2''...i will have to see where i can find a 1-2. we''ll see next week what weight J is but just from diaper fit it seems like the 1''s are ''perfect'' right now which to me says he might be outgrowing them in another 2-3 weeks based on how quickly the 1''s went from ''really big'' to ''perfect''.

THX!

You can probably find coupons for your first order. Shipping is free on orders over $49 (easy when you buy diapers+formula!)

It''s free overnight shipping for purchase over $49. They have the $5 off diaper or formula for first time purchase on their front page. There is a code for a free jumbo pack of diaper for 1st time purchase also.

I''m looking to get a few more giddy giddy clips and it looks to be pretty much the cheapest direct from giddy giddy (I think some of you knew that though) $8 plus $2 flat shipping.

if you go for big ones, yes. The small ones are cheapest from that site you pointed me to (moms4life I think?) w/coupon code.

Which one(s) are you getting?

White flower, frog, duck, and puppy. I think that covers all our color needs. I''ve found that while the flowers pack the most punch, as she gets older and her hair gets longer, I do pigtails/ponies/etc and it''s just too much stuff in her hair with a larger size clip. So I like the skinnier ones now. But that white flower works with a lot so I''ll get a larger one. I already have the apple, blush garden and the blue garden big clips, plus 2 of the french ones. We use them all frequently. I''m saving them for her baby box so I am not giving them away as I have a ton of the little girl clips.

TGal-This is probably a long shot but do you have pics of the back of the clips? Or can you describe them?

I got some similar clips for Sophia off of ebay because he hair is thin and I just needed something to keep strands out of her eyes. I wanted to see if the clips have the same structure. I love the giddy giddy clips from the last time you posted about them but don''t know if they are too heavy for her hair right now.

I don''t know if etsy shop links are allowed here or not but this is the etsy shop that I purchased the clips from:

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=35698191

I like them a lot and they''re very secure in her hair (doesn''t slide off) but don''t like how the clip part is sort of sticking out of the design, if that makes any sense.

Nope, I don''t, but I don''t mind taking some for you once Amelia is up from her nap (they are all in her room). They don''t stick out...they are basically alligator clips with felt over the top of the clip.

And I put them on Amelia''s peach fuzz, so it totally can hold any type of hair. Not too heavy at all.

Tgal you don''t have to but that''s a very nice offer!

Oh and I mean etsy not ebay lol. I''m going to order some then. I really like the lady bug and the cupcake since those are the two "themes" I''m thinking for the first birthday.

Mustang- Thanks for the link! Were you able to find that stroller and test drive it before you made the purchase? I''d love to go check it out but it doesn''t seem like BRU carries it.

Here you go Fiery...I had one in the living room. This isn''t the best example as the heart is one of the bigger clips, but all of the back of the clips pretty much look like this.

clipsgiddyfrontback.jpg

Also Fiery, looking at Sophia''s hair, I''d stay away from the little girl ones and go straight to big girl. Also the ones like the heart tend to be heavier because of more fabric on the clip. The garden flower clips are nice and versatile.

Thanks so much Tgal!

That looks a lot better than the clips I have. I didn''t think about staying away from the little girl clips but I remember now you mentioning it before.

Yup...I have a bunch of clips I don''t use much anymore (although they are still good for clipping away little strays when she has her hair in ponytails.)

Sophia has way more hair than Amelia ever did at that age, so it would be a waste to spend money on the little girl ones...they just don''t hold enough hair.

Thanks for the Bob comments, ladies, sounds like a swivel wheel model would work for and so its is something we should consider. I think the occasional run option is good even if it is normally a tooling-around and walking stroller.

Blen I think you are onto something with the arms. I am also 5'10" and have problems with this piece of roller-luggage whose handle doesn't extend high enough (and have had similar problems with other types of products). My husband is 4" taller and has no problem, I think his arms extend lower than mine. I'll have to go through and mine your comments for the rejected stroller cause I have a feeling that will be my problem as well, and we'll want an umbrella eventually and maybe a snap n go to start. Or maybe not, Mara having trouble with the snap n go and rough sidewalks has me thinking of other options.

ETA: Anyone know if the REI 20% off deal is offered once a year or twice a year? Its going on now, but at only 3 months preggo I feel a little silly going off to a Bob right now. However, I'd rather not deal with craigslist and 20% makes it a lot more palatable.

i wanted to say that i do like the SNG for what it is...but if you plan to do a lot of walking with it on diff types of roads then i wouldn''t recommend it long-term. i wasn''t sure how much we''d walk with it but even if i only go out once a week for 2 hours like i did last week, then i think a real stroller that can handle the walk would be worth it. we are lucky enough to have it as a lend, so we can give it back, but i don''t think i would have bought it to start...i prob would have tried to figure out a stroller ahead of time. THAT SAID...i was totally not on board with a BOB before birth but actually having a kid to try things on makes a difference, so for you moms to be who aren''t sure, you might want to wait til you have the kid to figure out what you need. i found that we didn''t even use the SNG/stroller for the first ~3 weeks anyway...oh we went on one short neighborhood walk with it but that was it.

Cara, it will most likely be offered again sometime before you have the kid, or soon thereafter. Don''t quote me on that one, but the sale seems to happen a couple of times a year in various ways.

Mara, I never walked with the SNG, yuck! I found it was best for lunches with the gal pals, or quick trips to go buy something at the mall or grocery store. It also worked great for doctor''s appointments. All the same reasons why I liked the Maclaren umbrellas for later. Everything else was BOB.

I still think that the SNG/BOB-Maclaren/BOB (for later) combo is a great way to go. I am sure there is someone here who''s done it, but I can''t recall any PS mom that has survived on only one stroller. Maybe the ones with the bugaboo''s? I can''t remember. There doesn''t seem to be a one size fits all stroller yet. So I''d rather get two strollers, each of which does what it''s supposed to do WELL.

Love the BOB. I bought mine in Oz brand new for $212, so most likely I''ll actually make back what I paid.

Babysteals.com has Ergo carriers on sale right now. Not sure how long they''ll last so go check it out ASAP if you;re in the market for one! It''s a great carrier and I use mine every day.

Nope, I bought it blind and hoped for the best! I actually found one on ebay, new in the box for about $80. The seller said she bought it for a baby shower, then the mom changed her mind and she was past the return period. I think Target carried them at some point, so maybe try other large retailers websites.

I just got the Evanesse Feeding Bra. They are supposed to be leak-proof, so you don''t need to wear nursing pads. I gave them a try because, even though I don''t leak regularly, I do leak on the other breast when DS is nursing. I don''t like the feeling of the pads scratching against my skin, they show under some tops, and I can''t seem to get them in the right spots. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I wore it today and didn''t leak through. The downside of the bra is that it has to be hand wash and air dry. They are $45 for 2.

Q, have you tried the fabric pads? I thought the disposable ones were really itchy, uncomfortable.

I actually did take walks with my SNG. No problem but our roads are very smooth. I have seen some fancier SNGs but forgot the brand. Think it had real wheels which would be nice.

Giddy Giddy clips, I thought about making them but got lazy. T has 3 of the little girl clips and I want to buy her a few big girl ones. For the most part she has always had hair so she needs the bigger ones. EricaR is super crafty and made T a couple. They look great so if you are crafty you can make them.

white noise recs? machine? cd? what do you use/recommend. we need somehting that can playall night.

Have any of you ladies chosen a predominantly white bedding set for the nursery? I found this set http://www.summerinfant.com/categories_products_view/523/5-Piece-Bedding-Set.html and I love it. But MP raised a good point when I showed it to her. It''s white and will get dirty easily.

GB, there have been a few reccs that I''ve seen lately. I think there''s a white noise machine that you can get at Bed Bath and Beyond that''s been raved about (Homedics is the brand I think). We went with the little lamb in-crib noise machine.

gingerb - re: white noise, i think there is an iphone app called white noise. i downloaded it for the baby. i can''t remember where i read about it but people raved about it so i got it. it''s free too.

HH, I think that bedding is fine! (and cute!!!).

Ginger, I use a cheap-o table fan as white noise. Works great and we have the fan on for naps and bedtime...it really helps because we don''t have to be quiet once the babies are sleeping!.

We made a CD. The sound of the vacuum really soothed her and ready made sleep machines didn''t get loud enough soooo...we bought a boom box with a remote. Downloaded the sound here and put it on a loop. The great thing is now we use the little boom box in her playroom so I don''t feel like we wasted money on a sleep machine we only used for 6 months or so.

Just so that everyone knows... the Naturepedic Organic Baby Crib and Toddler Bed Mattress has been discontinued.

Re: White Noise
We registered for the "Sound Sleeper" from BRU... but haven''t received it. However, at our shower, we received this thing called the Mommy Bear with Womb Sound . I LOVE this thing, and you just wrap it around one of the posts on your crib with the velcro strap.

We loved the iphone app. We got the homedics white noise machine as a gift, but it didn''t work for DD. Only the appliance sounds worked for her (hair dryer and vacuum). The typical white noise sounds on the machine (rainforest, waterfall, etc) did nothing.
