I can't believe D turned 1 month old yesterday! We celebrated with both sets of grandparents and cake.

What a difference 3 weeks make! I can't believe how big he's gotten! His 1 month appointment is in a few days so we'll find out officially how much he weighs but we're guessing he's a least 8.5 pounds, which means he gained 3 pounds in a month!

I can't wait for his smiles!
Ahhh, he is adorable!!! Congrats
36.gif
He is precious!

So I got the giddy giddy clips and they are VERY cute but smaller than I expected. She wore the garden one today and I will upload a picture later. Tessa has been so clingy and fussy lately. Makes me wonder if MORE new teeth are coming. She has been tugging at her ear...hope she doesn't have an infection. No fever.
14.gif
She has never had one before and I know they are par for the course. I spent all day going to 5 different Targets. They had these kid's chairs on clearance ($12.45 a piece which is DIRT cheap) and they are so cool. I picked up 6 of them. Now I have to find a table.

peony, Thank you. I really hope you get your BFP soon. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself. HONESTLY a few months here and there will NEVER matter in the end. Sometimes I wonder what my rush was too.

Linda, I am glad she was a good girl. Now my neighbor wants to set up a trade. Haha. She was SHOCKED by how wet her diaper gets. Her boys are BFed so obviously you never really know how much they are getting. But with Tessa 9 oz goes in, 9 oz comes out. They are really full in the mornings. My mom will be here Wednesday!
36.gif
So exciting!

iluv, no real plans. Good food. Cute favors. I figure the kids are too young for anything organized. So they will play while the adults hang out. My plan is 3 years apart too. Cute story about your son. Kid's are funny.

puffy, I am glad you like them! It was only sleep over b/c we were going to be home so late. It was really nice of them but I know she'll have me make up for it
2.gif
Luckily I don't mind helping out. B looks like he is having fun! We are getting something similar for T's b-day.

snlee, thanks. I got a little carried away. But vista print is so cheap! Happy 1 month b-day to D! It starts to get fun really soon. I promise!

MMMD, haha! She does have more clothes than me. She is like my human doll. I have fun dressing her.

Lili, thanks! I love those shoes! She had the same pair in one size smaller. She'll probably get them AGAIN in a larger size. Perfect for fall.

Burk! That is crazy! I think my brother was an accident. My dad said it took that many years of begging so who knows. I loved being 6 when my brother was born. It was fun. We always had a good relationship. My sister and I FOUGHT though. Did you guys? We are not sold on three kids yet. Not opposed. We'll see how the next L&D goes. If it is like my first I am DONE! The sleep-over sounded pretty easy since she will sleep anywhere. She played with the twins for 45 mins. Then walked into their office where her P'nP was. My neighbor held her for five mins and put her down. I guess she never made a sound. Then she woke up at 8:20 and they changed her diaper and gave her a bottle. DH picked her up at 9:00. So really only 1.5 of "watching" her.

Bobo, little B is getting so handsome! He looks like a big boy and less like a baby now! Hope he gains some weight! Too bad you can't give him the premmie stuff. T really plumped up on it.

MsF, good to "see" you! It is bittersweet isn't it?!? I am excited but sad. It does make it easier knowing she is not my last baby. Congrats on being back to your old weight (I am jealous!!!) I still have 8 (FAT) lbs to go and I have NO medical excuses. Haha! It's sticking to me like glue. Sorry Ian is sick. I ALWAYS get sick with T too. I am sure the IV was horrible. I want to see your pumpkin pictures. My mom keeps telling me how amazing T's are and how the pumpkins looks so perfect. She is 100% bias of course (over T not the pumpkins).

Kay, congrats mama! She is beautiful! Sorry you had a rough time. I think most of us has rough starts. But luckily the memory fades quickly. Take care of yourself lady!

zhuzhu, we will take her to a few houses. She is still so young but I cannot pass up the opportunity since it is her first halloween. Stay tune for costume pics! She does have funny expressions.

TGal, Ame looks so happy in her daddy's arms. You are a great mommy. And she HAS softened you even if you still won't admit it!
3.gif
T's party will not be posh at all! But then again DH and I are not fancy people. Love all the pictures. Thank you for sharing. Makes me sad if I go by the 1 year rule with baby pics. I will have to talk it over with DH and see what he says...hope the teeth pop through QUICKLY! Teething sucks!

Skippy, thanks friend!

Here is the awesome chair...

TGal
OMG, that bum shot is too funny
9.gif

You are lucky it was just a little stain instead of a huge blowout.
I love that first shot of Amelia and daddy.....looks like they are engaged in a serious conversation.

I hear you on having an "old" kid.
I guess when they are 7 months, they are closer to a year (toddler age) now instead of a newborn.
Time sure is flying by too fast
7.gif

I miss those early days when they were so tiny, but they are so much fun right now though
1.gif

That''s great that Amelia tooth broke through.
The second one should follow in a day or two.
J has 2 lower ones only (thank god).

And by the way, your house is neat compared to mine.
Hurricane J here makes it virtually impossible to keep anything on the table.

Bobo
Eeee....little B is so cute in your avi.
Like Tacori said, he''s getting so big now -- looks like a little boy instead of a baby.
Good to hear that things are better with MIL
5.gif

snlee
Wow, Derek is getting pretty big.
I wouldn''t be surprised if he''s more than 9 lbs :)
Some babies change their appearance alot when they are younger, but D looks exactly the same --- just bigger -- too cute.

Tacori
I hope you can still post pix after 1 yr.
Hate to think that we wouldn't be able to lil miss independent grow up.
I guess there's still the avatar that you can update with
2.gif

And your pumpkin pictures are perfect -- of course it helps that you have a cute model
41.gif

You should see how pathetic our pumpkin patches are here.

Here is my giddy giddy girl!

giddy_T.jpg

lili, you HAVE to post a pic of an LA pumpkin patch now! Next year come on South and you can all take your cuties to the ones we have here (and there are PLENTY!) I would be sad not to share T with my PS friends too...I have mixed feelings of privacy/safety.

TGal, I meant to ask where is the date on the Britax car seats? I was looking for mine. T is now in her big girl seat. I think she likes it better. It is easier to get her in and out of.

We got back from the bladder x-ray. A VCUG was done, and it was hard on me & DH. First they did a couple x-ray of M in her diaper, and M was really good and staying still. M was curious and looking around a lot. Then a nurse came in to put a catheter in M. I had to hold her arms up, and two radiology techs held her legs. The nurse was having trouble putting the catheter in; she said everything is so small that it's hard to find the hole. She tried and poked quite a few times. M wasn't crying the first try, but it's probably because the catheter was not actually put in. But after the second try, she was crying. It's kind of upsetting that the nurse has to poke so many to get it. M was bawling for the rest of the time; her face was bright red, her eyes were full of tears, and her head was sweaty. The whole time I had to hold her arms up, and tried to comfort her by talking to her. It was really hard. I felt sick to my stomach, and DH kept asking the dr. if everything is okay. He said he was holding his breath the whole time. The good news is that everything looked normal to the dr.

I nursed M immediately after the x-ray since it's been 3 hrs after the last feeding, and I was also hoping it will provide her some comfort. She fell asleep and woke up crying a couple times. She is still sleeping right now, but she seems back to normal.

Thank you Ladies for all your well wishes.

Tgal,
My how pretty Amelia is, what a great smile she has. Seems like time is flying by, all these babies are almost hitting the one year mark.
Snlee,
D is adorabl!!

Tacori.
Love this pic of Miss Tessa. She screams cuteness!!!

I haven''t read through the posts, but I looked at the pics.

iluvcarats - Your kids are gorgeous. Their eyes are absolutely gorgeous.
puffy - Brady looks so adorable in his new ride.
Kay - Alexis is beautiful. Look at all her blonde hair. Hope you are recovering well.
Tgal - Tguy & Amelia sure do know how to have fun. I think DH is waiting for that stage. The poop stain stocking pic is so cute.
snlee - Derek got so much bigger. I think he is 9lbs.
Tacori - I know I said it before, but I will say it again. Tessa is so pretty. She is definitely a model.
Jen - Marina and Sophie are adorable snuggling together. Congrats again.

Thanks Lisa!

Q, I am so sorry! Caths are no fun and for a baby it is so much worse b/c they don't understand what is going on. Poor M! But sounds like it was good news so that *must* be a relief. Thanks for such the sweet compliment. We think she is beautiful but we are her parents. It means a lot coming from other people (especially other parents).

Tgal Amelia is such a doll! I love all of your pics. You are a terrific photographer. The poop stains are precious!(only another mom could think thatLOL)
The time goes soooo quickley, especially when you are in the thick of it all. It is hard to have perspective when you are sleep deprived and so busy. I really miss carrying my kids around in their little snugglies, and their big toothless smiles. It is still fun, but there is something so special about the little ones. Just keep enjoying her and taking lots of pictures (and keep posting them of course!
9.gif
)

Snlee D is so handsome! What a great head of hair he has. You could have alll sorts of fun styling that!
3.gif

Tacori I think 3 years apart is a good plan! Can''t wait for party pics! The new one is adorable!

QT I''m sorry you had such a rotten day! Glad to hear everything is OK. There is nothing worse than hearing your baby cry, and not being able to make it better!
Hopefully this will be the last of the testing. Glad it is over for you!
35.gif

tgal A is adorable! she is getting big...almost 7 months now. trust me, you don''t want her to rush into being mobile. it is tough keeping up with the little guys. YAY for her first tooth. the other shouldn''t be far behind. sounds like quite the fancy dancy party you went to. B''s might be similar. we''re having a bday dinner for him at a steakhouse with about 80 people, so that should be fun. just getting organized is a pain in itself.

tacori did you guys get the pink car for T, is that what you meant by similar one? i don''t know, i just figured it was since they have a pink and blue one too. we were going to get the red and blue one for B but we got this one instead because the wheels are better on this one. they aren''t as loud and a lot smoother. but it is a pain to steer. he has so much fun in it esp when we go really fast, and the entire tie, he just honks his horn and laughs. cute pic of T with her clip!!

snlee hope you enjoyed your weekend and took some time for yourself. D looks like he is growing!! and what a cutie pie!

bobo glad to hear that little B is doing well. you know, try not to worry about his weight too much. i know it is so hard not to. little B is going to be such a heart breaker!! i LOVE the new avatar!

mrsF hope ian is better. it is not fun having a sick child, and it sounds terrible what ian is going through.

qt sorry M had to go through all that..you and your DH too. it must have been so hard on you guys!

lili the pumpkin patches here are pretty nice too. they have a few places where they do activities and things for the kiddies too, like pony rides, train rides, hay rides, and other things. it''s a pretty big time of the year for a few farms around our area. and during the weekend, they are pretty jam packed with families. how is J doing? how are you doing trying to keep up with her?

Puffy, this is the one I think we are getting. Can you tell in the picture? It''s more of T than the car. I like that older kids will use it too (w/o the floor board and the handle). She loved cruising around in it. Where do you live again?

iluv, yeah hopefully I will get preggo easily the second time as well. But if not that''s just the way it is gonna be. I still have shell shock from L&D though.
14.gif

Tessa_first-wheels.jpg

tacori that''s not the one i was thinking, but i have seen that one. very cute. we are thinking of getting a radio flyer wagon as well so he can cruise around with another buddy at the same time, or even the dog. haha! our dog is a bit on the lazy side. we live about 15 miles south of san francisco in a little city, millbrae, which is right by SFO. we are not far from the big city but we get lots of sunshine when it is foggy in SF.

Puffy, kids in wagons is SO cute! My sister lives in SF and always begs me to come and visit. Someday...someday...if I do we should do a GTG (if you are interested of course!)

I hear you about L&D ! If it makes you feel any better, I really don''t remember much of it, but I do remember thinking I am never doing this again! And I didLOL T looks super cool in her new ride!

Tacori, listen to your sister and you come visit SF!
1.gif
If you do a GTG, count me in!

The pictures of T are so cute! I''ll miss seeing pictures of T if you decide to stop posting them.

Tgal~So funny A wouldn''t cooperate for party girl pics. She''s so cute! I love the ones with her daddy. My DH really started to like hanging out with T around 6 or 7 months when she really started to get more of a personality. Yay for the first tooth!

Bobo~Cute new avatar! That smile is so darn cute!

Skippy~Thanks!

Jen~So glad your an "official" member of the mommy thread! Congrats again!

Tacori~My parents claim it was all a plan to have my brother and sister that far apart. Who knows.
16.gif
My sister and I fought a lot when we were younger too. Once we got to high school it settled down a bit but we didn''t really get close until I was in college. My brother is still in high school. I was 9 when he was born and I was pretty much a little mother so he and I have a very special relationship. I love the clip on T!! So cute!! When you get her the car, update the baby stuff thread with a review. My sister wants to get T something fun for Christmas and something like that might be perfect!!

QT~sorry for the stress of the x-ray! T had 3 chest X-rays before she was 10 weeks and it was miserable every time because I had to hold her shoulders down and she screamed like I had never heard her scream before. I cried with her each time. I''m sure putting the catheter in was miserable to watch. *Hugs* So glad everything looked good, though!

puffy~Sounds like a big birthday party you''re planning! Fun! We''ll have to see pictures of course!

Today was T''s first day at the new daycare. She only went for a couple of hours while I was at volleyball. She loved it and the caregivers are in love with her. They raved about how good she was and how fun she was to be around. I was one proud mama!

iluv, see that is what scares me is MOST of us had a rough time. Oh well. They are worth it for sure.

snlee, We are going to vancouver sometime this spring to visit my brother (w/o T whoo hoo). Not sure we could do SF this year. Maybe next year. It is SUCH a long flight
14.gif
and we would probably bring T (so my extended family can meet her) Wish planes moved faster. Haha.

Tacori~Just to reassure you, I had a fairly easy L&D so it CAN happen!! There were some stressers when I was in labor with T (she flipped over and was sunny side up for a while!
6.gif
) but overall it wasn''t bad at all. I only had to deal with contractions for about an hour before I got an epidural and I only pushed about 5 times. I didn''t have any drugs for recovery because they make me sleepy (and we all know that comes naturally with a baby so no need for drugs to aid that) and I wasn''t really in too much pain. I''m keeping my fingers crossed that you get to experience an "easy" delivery the next time around!!

Burk, thanks...3 hours of pushing PLUS the infection I got took its toll. Oh that isn''t even counting my nursing woes. Hopefully next time WILL be easier! My mom ordered the car from Amazon. It''s one of her b-day gifts. DH loved pushing her around in it (it is our friend''s) and she LOVED riding in it. All the kids did. I like that the one door opens (like the regular coupe) and the floor board and handle come off. It is fairly easy to push. I doubt I would take long walks with it (not like a stroller) but I can see going up and down the driveway and short rides. T didn''t want to get out of it. I bet she spent 45 mins "driving". She would "steer" so cute of course she also tried to suck on the horn
20.gif
"The Garden" clip is cute. The pink is a different shade than on the screen though. I also got the white flower and pink cupcake.

Oh my, I am SO behind, but heavens it is so nice to be back here...

Awesome pictures everyone! I cannot stand how gorgeous these babies are!
Tgal -- the poo shot is most excellent. I love the expression on her face!
Tacori-- you have a super beauty on your hands there. She gets more stunning every day!
Snlee -- Happy One Month -- he''s beautiful!
Kay -- She''s like a baby model!

And QT, I hope you are hanging in there.

LOL about L&D...I would so do it again (but I had the world''s easiest C/S).

It''s tough to find time to get on here and post (and I know you all understand) but I so need the companionship, even if it''s virtual! There''s only so much baby talk I can speak...I''m all about the subtext and there ain''t no subtext in "goo."

I know I''ve missed most of you, but please know I''m with you on every sigh, every giggle, and every tear (and lets hope most of those are happy ones).

My boys are two months today...we have the big ol'' Dr. appointment tomorrow. 3 shots each. I''m already clenching my jaw.

They are feeling better, and thank you all for your well wishes and support. I am running on empty most of the time...they don''t fuss much but they seem to be timing their needs so that just when I get one satisfied and settled, the other one starts. The days go awfully quick and I feel I am doing so very little (except, you know, tending to two little people).

Logan is all smiles these days, and he''s chirping a lot. Jackson is more fickle with the grins, but he''s got the most hysterical expressions. We call Logan "Goose" because he sounds like one half the time (he "honks" when he speaks and eats) and we call Jackson "Doc" because he looks like he''s plotting a world take-over (a la Dr. Evil) ...

So here''s my Goose in a rare, non-smiling moment. He has a tendency to stick his little tongue out just as I''m taking a picture...he certainly shares his mama''s "Huh? Wha?" expression.

HPIM0058mini.JPG

"yeah, don''t even think about getting me a hair clip, mom."

HPIM0055minireally.JPG

Lil Jackson: "I think I''ll wait to take over the world until after they change my diaper. Yeah. That''s the ticket."

HPIM0054mini.JPG

Poor Jackson. He has a gigantic head. Someone keeps calling him "Quagmire."
Ok it''s me. But I adore the little guy and his big ol'' melon.

IMG_0650mini.JPG

Oh Tacori!!!!!! If you ever come to San Francisco, you had better let me know missy. I so want to meet you and Miss Tessa!!!!!
36.gif
Love these new pictures of her. She looks so darn cute with the clips in her hair.

Linda

Jas, your boys are so adorable. Don't worry they forget about the shots quickly. It is hard though. Hang in there. I know how strong the need of adult interaction can be. We're always here for you.

ETA: you look AMAZING by the way...oh I used to not be a jealous person!
2.gif

Linda, of course I will! It won't be for awhile but I will make it out there eventually!

Jas They are so cute. And you are too! Good luck at the dr.!

Tacori Second time was easier, if that is helpful. My daughter #1, was born posterior, and I had a 3rd degree tear
14.gif

My son was born in July. It was so hot, and I was DONE! I made my ob induce me. Demanded. And he did, because DH is a doc at the hospital and they are friends. The nurses kept telling me that I wasn''t in labor. My uterus was just irritable. (Believe me, it was more than just my uterus that was irritable!
29.gif
) It took a while, and the epidural wore off, and I was alone b/c we have no family in town to take care of DD. But finally the IL''s came in , and in the last hour, DH was with me. But my doc had to go to his office, and the one doc in the practice I didn''t like took over. And the whole time I was having contractions he was talking to DH about medicine.
29.gif

Me: Um, Hello?
Doc: Oh, you need to push?
Me: What do you think?
So the best part was when I finally delivered the baby, and this asinine dr. looks at DH and says "Congratulations Dr. #$$*&, you just delivered that baby!"
29.gif
Poor DH was mortified!

But not posterior, and a tiny tear!
36.gif

Sorry for the rant. It is almost funny to me now...
You have a whole year to forget all about L&D.....I promise, it will fade!

Kay, your daughter is gorgeous!

TGal, LOL at the poop stains. The daddy and baby pictures are so cute! Yay for A's first tooth!

qt, I must have missed your post about the details. What were they scanning for? I'm glad everything is okay with Meena. I'm sorry you had to go through that. It must have been difficult.
7.gif

Burk, glad you found a new daycare you love.

Tacori, next year then.
2.gif
I know the plan rides are no fun and I can only imagine flying with a toddler! I am glad to hear it only gets better from here.

Jackie, I can only imagine how demanding it is to care for two little ones! One baby is already a lot of work! You're doing a wonderful job! I can't believe your boys are 2 months old tomorrow! Happy 2 months Logan and Jackson! I love the pictures and your captions! The boys are adorable and you look gorgeous!

curly, how is D's birthday twin doing? Check in when you can. We would love to hear how your two girls are doing.

janine, how is Chloe doing? I hope that BFing is going well for you.
