So T had her first sleep over last night. DH''s college buddy is in a band and they played in CLT (they tour) and he really wanted to go. They didn''t start til 10:30 *yawn* so my neighbor offered just to take her for the whole night (which was SO nice of them). They said she was a good girl. We picked her up this morning.


iluv, it is. Plus I know I have it in me to love another child as much as T which doesn''t seem possible! I think 3 years apart is *perfect*.


snlee, yay on surviving month 1! You are doing a great job. It is so hard in the first few months. I agree babies are cute for a reason b/c being a mom/primary care giver is TOUGH. Take some time for yourself this weekend!


Bobo, I feel the same way about little B''s cheeks! They are so kissable!!!!


Puffy, these are the thank you notes I ordered. I wanted to use a different picture. I ordered enough for x-mas too. I did NOT enjoy being preggo so that probably help ward off the TTC feelings. But more power to those who did!

Adorable Thank You notes!
It sounds cheesey, but each child brings another dimension of love. I thought the same thing when I was PG with#2,that I couldn''t love another as much, but he totally melts me! They both do in different ways. Three years apart worked well for me. What do you have planned for the big party?

Tacori~You are not the odd ball. You just have to do what''s best for your family. Ironically, I am the oldest in my family, sister is 3 years younger and brother is 9 years younger. Almost identical to your family. My brother and sister and I are very close and I would probably wait and do something similar but DH is quite a bit older than me and if I''m going to get to baby number three like I want I will not have 6 years to get there!

That and I just feel ready. I''m sure I won''t feel so ready when I''m nine months preggo with T running around like the crazy lady she is!

I love the thank-yous. So cute. You have me playing around with invites already and we''re still 3 months away!! Oh, and so nice of your neighbors to host a sleep-over. I''m sure they enjoyed Miss Tessa for the night!

iluvcarats~Like I said to Tacori, my sister and I are 3 years apart and we are very close.

snlee~Happy one month birthday to D!! My DH went back to work after 2 days so I did nights all by myself from the first week on (with the exception of help on the weekends) and it is rough. I can totally relate to your sleep deprivation!! They are cute for a reason and pretty soon you''ll get your first social smile!!

puffy~Cute that B''s a sharer! Good skill to have! It will be March soon. I liked being preggo the first time and who knows what this one will bring.

lili & puffy, Thanks for asking. little B is doing well, still trying to get him to eat more solid so he can gain more weight hopefully by his 9 months check up he will upgrade to maybe 10% in weight. Another echo in late Nov. hopefully if that one turn out good we can stop the aspirin on him. Puffy, B looks super cool in his new ride!

Tacori, That is so nice of your neighbor! Love the thank you card.

lili Thanks! I totally agree, but never tire of hearing it! Speaking of cute kids, your avatar always makes me smile! maybe we should get our friends together. They could do a swap!

Burk I think 3 years was really good spacing for me. I really admire the moms who keep having them back to back! I knew I needed to take it slow. My kids are really close too. I am close with my sibs now, but there was more rivalry when we were younger. They don''t compete with each other, which is nice.

Bobo I am glad to hear little B is doing well. I will keep my fingers crossed for good news with the next echo! He i such a cutie!

Tacori- those pics of T are simply adorable, both the pumpkin patch and the invite. I had so much fun with Ian''s birthday party. It was wonderful but so bittersweet...I really feel like I dont have a baby anymore. Although I''m far from ready to have another one.

I hit my prebaby weight...FINALLY 13 months postpartum. i''m pretty stoked. Because I had 3 herniated discs when he was 3 months my excercise has been limited, but I''m finally back to my old weight, which is not my old size, but I''ll take what I can get. I''m back in a size 8 and the hopefully the size 6''s will fit by xmas!

Ian has been really sick this week. I had a stomach flu and gave it to him. he was sick for two days and throwing up scared him so much. he would just look at me like, "what is happening to me". But that isnt the worse of it. After he was sick, he wouldnt drink or eat for two days. I went to the Dr who told me I basically had to pin him down and force him or take him in for an IV. SCARY! He is drinking a bit more now and I just started him back on milk this morning!

We are going to the pumpkin patch today! I''m really excited, it is a very LA pumpkin patch, but here is hoping I get some good pictures!

If formula, can you give him those high calorie formula ones like Tacori did with Tessa?

By the way, how is your babysitting situation?
Did you end up putting little B in daycare?
Or have things gotten better with MIL I hope?

13 months is not that long....especially considering you got a herniated disc that interfered with your workout regime.

Pumpkin patches here are nowhere near as nice as what we saw in Tacori''s and Misspinky''s picture.
But with a little creativity and angling, I''m sure you''ll be able to get some nice pix.

Hiya gals...

I can''t believe October is drawing to a close and I am about to have a 7 month old on my hands. That is so strange to me...it sounds a lot older than a 6 month or a 5 month old for some strange reason. I remember reading when G&K and Tessa were 7 months and it just seemed so far away - having a kid "that" old!

Amelia cut her first tooth last Wednesday. She had been a bit more fussy from the preceeding Sunday. We''re waiting for the second to come in.

We went to my friend''s son first birthday party. It was honestly nicer than my wedding. She did a parisien theme complete with huge eiffel tower and paris street lamps. She had giant "hot air" balloons filled with balloons inside with teddy bears for the kids inside the basket at the tables. Lunch was a complete 4 course meal starting out with lobster bisque, then wedge salad, followed by choice for steak, chicken or fish and then dessert (sorbets and 2 kinds of cake with sundaes for the kids). Poor Amelia is going to be really bummed when she sees her first birthday of a cupcake and a trip to the park or something!

So, anyone have any suggestions on how to stop rocking a kid to sleep? My friend (the one named above) is trying to stop rocking her boy to sleep. He is over a year now and heavy. He screams bloody murder when she tries to put him down. She cannot handle CIO, so that is not an option.

Hm...any more Amelia updates, let''s see...she''s still not a big eater (frustrating), LOVES water out of a "cup" (freak) and is learning to drink out of her born free sippy although right now she just chews on it a lot. I make sucking noises and she seems to be getting the idea. I got more hand me downs from friends to go along with her chi-chi hair clips.

I''ll try to post some pics of Amelia with her party outfit on, but honestly, they came out awful because she was SO unlady like and decided she wanted to kick her legs up and show her bum (in tights) for all the pictures. Bigger problem was that she had a diaper leak and all the pics show poo stains.

lili, how many teeth does your J have now? I sometimes look at Amelia and say to her, "you know, there is a girl out there who is practically walking - get a move on girl!" Hehehe. Amelia didn''t drool for some reason...she''s as dry as the desert so I was surprised to see her first tooth (but not THAT surprised as she was unusually fussy last week).

Burk, hope Tayva is better as well!

iluvcarats...aw, I got a bit choked up when I saw the pics of your kids...they grow up SO fast, don''t they? I am cherishing this time with my daughter. I feel like someone recently flipped the "light speed" switch. I feel time is gear up to start racing away from me, and I don''t like it.

lili, little B is on formula but he is on soy and the high calorie formula doesn''t have soy kind. Little B is still with my MIL, because I can see she truly love little B to pieces and things got better after little B is out of hospital. She listen way more to us now.

Kay, Alexis is beautiful!

TGal, your friend''s son birthday sounds so awesome, has your friend try sitting next to him and sing to him or just talk to him? Sometime they just want your company. That''s what work for me and little B.

I can't believe D turned 1 month old yesterday! We celebrated with both sets of grandparents and cake.

What a difference 3 weeks make! I can't believe how big he's gotten! His 1 month appointment is in a few days so we'll find out officially how much he weighs but we're guessing he's a least 8.5 pounds, which means he gained 3 pounds in a month!

I can't wait for his smiles!
