I cry all the time too. Haha! I will give her a hug from you for sure!

I really miss my babies! Even though it was hard, those were really special days. Enjoy every minute!

Tacori~Such cute pics of T at the pumpkin patch!! I think her long jeans look cute rolled up! I wish you could help me with T's invites too! (and my sister's bachelorette ones...I'm at a loss!

). T turns 1 on January 18th so I have a bit of time. I'm thinking about it though and starting to get some things together. I'm so glad you're all doing it so that I can take notes!! I was 2 cm dialated for 2 weeks. I kept hoping every day would be "the" day but nope. I really did like being induced. I'm the anal planning type, however. We labored for about the same amount of time. Mine was through the night, though, so I had T at 4am. I will not be doing that again (unless, of course, I go into labor on my own).

QT~Good luck with the scan.

puffy~Poor B. So funny about pounding the floor, though. Babies do the cutest things. Our cable was out last night and DH and I just sat and played and watched T all night long.

iluvcarats~Thanks! She is a pretty happy girl most of the time. I bet it is crazy at your friends house with 5 girls. That boy that they finally have is going to feel VERY out-numbered!

Speaking of crying. I was looking through pics of when Tayva was born and bawling my eyes out last night. Just can't get over how wonderful she is and how much better our lives are with her in them....aww crap I'm crying again. I have a problem......

This is when my son was born 6 years ago...

And here they are now. It goes so quickly. Like the blink of an eye! I miss those magic days!

Hi Ladies, I mostly lurk on this thread, but I do enjoy reading and seeing the lovely pictures you post.

I have a question for you all. I have recently been diagnosed with gall stones and based on some reading I have done I suspect it may have something to do with having been pregnant and the resulting hormone fluctuations and I''m wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.

I don''t really fit the typical profile of someone who suffers from this (I''m in my thirties, am a healthy weight for my height and I am vegetarian so my diet does not include a lot of cholesterol.) However I have one other friend of a similar age who recently suffered from the same thing after the birth of her daughter and another friend has since told me that her mother had similar attacks after she was born.

My doctor was rather dismissive when I asked if he thought there was any link to my estrogen levels, but I really think this is the key because the only consistent thing about my attacks is that they mostly tend to happen right before I get my period.

My goodness - how she is THRIVING!!!! Little sweetheart!!! Tac, you are amazing with her!! You get her such cute outfits too, I love the dotty fleecy jacket and the little jeans!

Do you tend to eat more fatty foods right before your period? That may have something to do with it. A book that was very helpful to me is
It''s My Ovaries, Stupid! by Elizabeth Vliet MD. Silly title, but great book. It is about hormonal imbalance and how it can effect your body, and how to help. Good Luck!
BTW Dr''s shouldn''t be dismissive about any question. Maybe ask around for a new doc.

Correction:
The days are still magic. I just miss the little babies. Every stage is good though. Just being wistful.

Burk, I loved being induced too. I hated being over due but loved how calm it was driving to the hospital, checking in, etc...I am a planner too. My doc said next time I will probably be induced at 39 weeks!
36.gif
Fine by me! I get sad when I look at her newborn pics too! I can''t remember Tessa that small and then I realize someday I won''t remember her as small as she is now.

iluv, your children are beautiful! I bet the time flies. Her first year did! But it must be nice to have a CONVERSATION with your children. Haha. You just need a baby fix.

Lor, thought you would like her hoodie. Did her see her shoes too? It is too much fun dressing her up.

softy, I have no advice hopefully another PSer can help you. Hope you aren''t in pain.

BTW, we are going to install T''s big girl car seat this weekend!!!! Ekkk!

Thanks Tacori! I never get tired of hearing that!

It is nice when they can communicate back. Well, 99% of the time anyway. There are times when they need to be reminded that Dad and I run a dictatorship, not a democracy! We also tell them that the Complaint Depatment is CLOSED, but if they would like to submit a complaint, they can fill it out in triplicate. If we think it is important, we will get back to them! HAHAHA

That is when we usually get

tacori it must be something about waffles. B loves his waffles too, but i give him multigrain ones. i am waiting for the proof for the invite i might get for B''s party. i was really excited about them. they''re photo invites. they''re pretty expensive, but i guess i don''t mind spending the money if *i* really like them! B''s ok after his fall, but i think he''s getting a big bruise on his arm from the fall. but he seems to be back to his normal self for the time being. the pictures of T are so cute!! what size are her pants? B''s in 12-18 month pants but the waist is way too big, but the length is good and 6-12 month length is too short. i was a bit worried when i gave B whole milk, but it seemed to be ok. i just gave him 1/2 an ounce or so for a drink, and he liked it and there was no reaction to it.

burk i know what you mean...i look at B''s pictures sometimes, and just think about how thankful we are to have him and what a wonderful joy he is to be around and then i''m a total wreck! they grow up so quick! it''s been such a fast year, but the best year. T''s birthday''s coming. any ideas of what you''re planning on doing?

so DH and i had the TTC conversation last night. i *think* i have baby fever. and it seems that i *think* i am ready for another. i''m probably not, but i keep telling myself that i am. and maybe it''s because i so enjoyed being preggo. whatever the reason, i want another child!! but we agreed the earliest we would try would be when i stop BFing because my cycles are all over the place anyways right now.

hope all the mommies have a great weekend with the kiddies!!!

Lor, I knew you would like those!
1.gif

Iluv, seriously parent pride never goes away huh? I guess now I know (well not really but understand) why my parents tell me they are proud of me over meaningless little things. I love your responses to your kids. I might steal them!

Puffy, oh, I would have done them for free! I am sure the invites will be cute though. He''s worth it. I agree try not to get preggo while BFing b/c BFing takes SOOO much out of your body. Also remember every pregnancy is different so make sure it is the second kid you want not just the process.
9.gif
The multigrain ones are probably a better idea but she loves the size of the minis. Her jeans are 12-18 months. They fit fine in the waist but are looooong.

tacori- those pics of tessa at the pumpkin patch are the cutest things ever
30.gif

iluvcarats~Beautiful pics! How far apart in age are your kiddos?

softly~A friend of mine had gall stones about 3 months after her son was born. They said it was related to the pregnancy too. They told her she would very likely get them again when she has another child!
6.gif
I don''t know much more than that. If other PSers don''t pop in, I''ll give my firend a call and ask some questions for you!

Tacori~I will probably be induced again too. I am a-okay with that!
9.gif
I think I was in such a fog when T was little I didn''t tell myself enough to enjoy it. Every stage becomes my new favorite and I''m afraid I''m going to forget this too! I''m trying to store everything (I''m going to leave the "I won''t go down for my afternoon nap" we''re going through right now from my memory bank though!
6.gif
)

puffy~I have total baby fever too. We''re going to start trying in March I think. I would want to try now, but we got preggo really quick with T and if I got preggo now that would mean I''d be due during volleyball season and that would be too stressful. T is also in mostly 12-18 month stuff- she''s super long (30 inches at her 9 mo) but skinny minny. I get the adjustable waist ones from Gap and they seem to fit the best.

puffy, sorry to hear about the fall. Good thing he is ok. DH doesn''t know about this, but I think I have a "little" baby fever too. But I keep reminding myself the first 3 months of hell and of course who can forget the 40 weeks of "jail time" Also I keep thinking will I love the 2nd child as much as I love little B...so much to think about.

Q, hope M''s scan goes well!

Tacori, I hear ya on the frozen meat, they scare me too. Did you give Tessa meat in a jar like the Gerber one? They sort of scare me too. I had cooked up some chicken breast with rice to make porridge but he doesn''t seem to like it. The nuggets sounds yummy, some babies are allergic to soy but I don''t know if Tessa is allergic to soy so maybe give her a tiny piece?

Tessa look so cute and small!! look at the pouty lips...

Burk, I was also going thru pics of little B''s pixs taken when we''re at the hospital. So many emotions went thru my mind.

iluvcarats, your kids are beautiful!

Softy, I hope you will find a answer soon.

Thanks for the responses ladies.

Burk That''s interesting that your friend has had a similar experience. Doesn''t sound good that they told her they would come back with each pregnancy.
23.gif
Not that that is an issue for me. However I do understand the baby fever - so good luck when you do decide to start trying again.

I keep getting asked about what foods I am eating before an attack, but I really can''t see the link. I don''t really eat a lot of fatty foods, I''m vegetarian and my dairy intake is generally limited to a little cheese and milk in a cup of coffee. I have an appointment with a specialist next month so I''ll see what he says.

Bobo No need to worry, you will definitely love any other children as much as you love little B

Tacori Congratulations on Tessa turning one. It''s such a big milestone for both you and her.

Pumpkin babies.

Adorable!!

Mrss, thanks! We need some pics of Jake!

Burk, two of my friends are preggo (one has a 2 year old and the other a 16 month old) so I think I am the odd ball. I just want to have my body to myself and not share T for awhile. We are spaced apart in my family (sister is 3.5 years older, brother 6 years younger) so I guess it is all what you are used to.

Bobo, I have never given her the jar meat from gerber. I am sure it is fine (better than the frozen kind) but it is still gross. Now I am wondering about soy. She doesn't have any allergies so far. She is so little isn't she? Poor thing. She got the short curse.

softly, it is exciting that we ALL survived the first year. Haha! Thank you. I hope you feel better soon.

ETA: BTW I think I am getting carried away. I just ordered picture Thank you cards. Haha.

Burk Thanks! They are 3 years apart

Bobo Thank you! (I think so too, but I love hearing it!)
Tacori The love is pretty intense and indescribable, huh? Feel free to use any sarcasm I throw your way

Have a great weekend Mommies!

Q, good luck with M's bladder scan/x-ray.

Tacori, I love the pumpkin patch pictures! T is adorable! I can't wait to take pictures of D at the pumpkin patch next year.
1.gif

Burk and puffy, that's exciting that you are starting to make plans for #2!

Speaking of crying, I often stare at D in amazement with tears in my eyes because I can't believe that my husband and I created such a beautiful baby.

I am so glad it's the weekend! My DH went back to work this week. I survived my first week of caring for D alone. The days are not bad but the nights are hard! DH helps with a few diaper changes but I try to let him get as much sleep as possible. The last two nights were tough! D was very fussy and wanted to nurse often. All I wanted was a nap! It's a good thing babies are so cute and we love them so much. Otherwise, I don't know how new parents would get through the sleepless nights!

D is a month old this Sunday! I can't believe I have a 1 month old! With all the sleepless nights, the last month seems like a long time but on the other hand, it feels like I just gave birth yesterday!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Thanks Softly!

Tacori, Tessa is super cute and her being so little makes it even cuter. Make me just want to hug her and give her lots of kisses.

snlee, congrats on surviving the first months. and Happy 1 month to D!!

snlee YAY for getting through the first month! happy 1 month birthday to D! your attitude is so great about the tough nights!! that''s really considerate of you to let your DH sleep. are you guys doing anything for his 1 month?

tacori i think when i saw your invite, that helped me make up my mind about the photo invite. and if i get those invites, i''m going to get the matching thank you cards too. LOL!! B''s had eggos before, but i was at TJ''s so i just picked up some waffles there. T is so petite but what a gorgeous lil thing she is!! i know it would be a bit hard to be preggo right now, but i just want a baby so bad! or maybe i just want to be preggo
40.gif
but just my luck, when i get preggo gain, i''ll probably have a tough pregnancy. haha! have you started the halloween costume?

burk it''ll be march before you know it!!!

bobo how is little B doing? and how are you doing?

B''s new trick...he shares!!! if he has a toy or food, and you ask him for it, he will give it to you 98% of the time. but as soon as he gives it up, he wants it back. haha.

So T had her first sleep over last night. DH''s college buddy is in a band and they played in CLT (they tour) and he really wanted to go. They didn''t start til 10:30 *yawn* so my neighbor offered just to take her for the whole night (which was SO nice of them). They said she was a good girl. We picked her up this morning.

iluv, it is. Plus I know I have it in me to love another child as much as T which doesn''t seem possible! I think 3 years apart is *perfect*.

snlee, yay on surviving month 1! You are doing a great job. It is so hard in the first few months. I agree babies are cute for a reason b/c being a mom/primary care giver is TOUGH. Take some time for yourself this weekend!

Bobo, I feel the same way about little B''s cheeks! They are so kissable!!!!

Puffy, these are the thank you notes I ordered. I wanted to use a different picture. I ordered enough for x-mas too. I did NOT enjoy being preggo so that probably help ward off the TTC feelings. But more power to those who did!

Tessa_thankyou.jpg

Tacori, she is SO cute!! Gosh, I want to be a mom so badly.

IG, I just read your update. Since you''re at 22 weeks now, is it possible that the twins could make it until 24 weeks and be okay? If they''re over 1 pound, that sounds promising. Gosh, I''m hoping that SO much!!!!

Tacori: This picture and note of Miss Tessa is down right adorable!!! I love it!!!!! I am so happy that she enjoyed her sleep over, bless her heart.
