QT - LOVE the pics!! You look amazing, btw
21.gif
Too bad other people feel the need to tell you what to do -- I''ve never understood that, but at least you don''t have to take their "advice"! I personally applaud you for BFing as long as you can!

Thanks for the good labor vibes everyone. I haven''t dilated anymore, but we are sticking to the plan and my doc is hopeful that he can reach the membrane to break it (although it was really questionable as of this morning). The girls are positioned well for a vag delivery, so now I have to just cross my fingers that a) he can break my water and b) that I''ll actually progress without drugs! I should be able to check in on DH''s phone tomorrow, especially if it is slow-going, so I''ll update when I can (probably in the pregnant thread). PS baking didn''t work for me, so if you could all just send me bowling-ball-on-the-cervix vibes, that''d be great

Jen good luck! Cervidil did the trick for me. Maybe they will try that too.

Tacori -- yeah, I had cervidil and pitocin with both boys #2 and #3 and it definitely worked. Unfortunately my doc will not allow it with me having such a distended uterus b/c of the twins and a previous c-section
7.gif
Apparently, there''s a risk of uterine rupture (he didn''t really want me to go VBAC at first either, but has since come around and is willing to let me try)...so the water breaking is the only way he can induce me really. No matter what, I just want them out safely at this point!

SDL--
thanks for the update on Kay!

Kay--
Hope you have a speedy labor and recovery.
Can''t wait to see your little girl!

MrsS--
Yay for Jake''s second tooth.
He should be back to his little jovial self soon.

Jas--
Too funny about the "fun size" candies.
Before and after Halloween time is always so scary -- all these candies at discounted prices, I just can''t resist buying them and then eating them.
Poor Jackson, hope he feels better soon.
And poor Logan and your dog for not having mommy''s attention today.
And who is this help lady?
You are doing a great job!

Puffy--
How cute is that Brady is into hand holding.
I love it when little toddler hold your hand and drag you to places
5.gif

It must be tiring chasing after little B huh?
But I''m sure you are loving every minute of it.
Haha, J won''t be walking for a while -- she''s still can''t stand on her own,
which is good since I''m really not ready to be chasing her around.
She''s already into everything as a crawler.
It''s like hurricane J has swept through wherever she goes.
She''s regressed with the bottle.
They were only able to feed her an ounce yesterday, but it is early in the week.....so we''ll see how it goes later in the week.

QT--
You look great--so slim!
And how cute is Meena -- she''s getting so big!
So did her costume arrive yet?
She''ll be so cute as a little ducky.

Like Tacori and Burk said, IGNORE your MIL.
Some people think that they are expert in everything.
My sister bottle feed and BF her son till he''s one.
Her FIL took care of him and bottlefeed him with expressed breastmilk when she''s at work.
She BF him when she''s home.

Tacori--
Is Tessa''s costume complete? Halloween is next Friday
41.gif

And when can we see her invites?
9.gif

Ella--
Sounds like your little ones are doing great.
How cute that they are playing peekaboo with each other.
I always envy you and other twin mommies because you guys have an instant playmate for your little ones.
I think having a party at the Gymboree or Little Gym is a great idea.
And like you said, it is so hassle free and NO cleanup.

Burk--
Glad you found a good daycare.
Wow, that''s an awesome ratio for infant/toddler to caretaker.
J is in an infant class and the ratio is 4:1.
The number is higher for the bigger kids.
Hope Tayva likes this new place.

Jen--
Woohoo....just one more day.
Can''t wait to meet your little girls.
Hope you have a speedy labor and recovery too!

Q, I forgot! Here are T''s invites. No I haven''t made the costume yet but I have all the supplies...
27.gif

Tessa_final_1stb-day.jpg

Q, cute picture of M. You look great!

jas, poor Jackson! Hope both your boys feel beter soon.

ella, I can''t believe your twins will be one soon! Sounds like they are doing well. A party at Gymboree and Little Gym sounds great!

Tacori, cute invite. I can''t believe T will be one in less than 2 weeks!

Not much going on with me. I have one messy baby. Lots of spit ups, peeing on us/himself, and pooping when he doesn''t have a diaper on (and the yellow stains don''t wash out)!

So baby.com sent me an e-mail that says this:

"The first joyous news • The first midnight cravings • The first sonogram photo on the refrigerator • The first time you look in her eyes and know you’re no longer number one • The first night at home • The first funny little smile • The first time she sleeps through the night (Hallelujah!) • The first laugh • The first crawl • The first stumbling steps • The first time she says "Ma…ma…ma…mama" • The first love pat • The first kiss • The first time you realize that — no matter how well you’ve prepared — you’re never quite ready.
Happy 1st Birthday!"

Needless to say I was crying while reading it. Being a mom is the most important thing I have ever done in my life. I know you ladies would probably agree. (((hugs))) to all the babies and all the mamas that brought them into this world.

puffy
Wow Brady got used to walking so quickly. I love it when babies are starting to walk. They have so much fun exploring. I spent a lot of time with our first nephew when he was at that age since I wasn't working back then.

jas
I love your humor in things. And you are right about everyone having a d**med opinion.

I've been having my share of "fun" too. Mmmm. Chocolate.

Is Jackson feeling better?

Burk
Glad you find a good daycare. That's a really good adults:kids ratio.

Ella
G & K are doing all these cute things. Can't believe they are going to be one in a couple of months.

Tacori
"Miss Independent" Too adorable.

Love the invitation. It looks great.

What is Ms T going to be for halloween?

Jen
Sending you lots of good labor vibes. Come on girls, the PS ladies are waiting for you.

lili
Yeah M looks so different and is lot bigger. She is outgrowing some 3 months clothes.

Her costume came already. We tried it on, and it's adorable. I bought the orange tights and yellow shirt to wear under the costume since the costume is sleeveless.

I think SIL isn't understanding my desire to BF after returning to work. Both of my SILs only BF for a few months, and so had their cousins (DH's cousins).

snlee
We had the same problem with M peeing and pooping on us (me mostly) during diaper change when she is younger. It's so messy. It's much better now. Still have accidents here and there, but nothing like before.

M is a drool machine lately. It's nonstop drools that wet her bibs and onesies.

Tacori, awww...that is so sweet! I''m sure it will be more meaningful to me when D turns one as I''ve only experienced about a quarter of those things. I can only imagine.
30.gif

Q, glad to hear things get less messy as they get older. We just gave D a bath and he peed TWICE and pooped once! SO MESSY! We were going nuts trying to keep the water free of pee and poop!

tacori awww, i have to say that while i was reading that, i was in tears! it is so true!! i can''t believe that T will be 1 soon. i lOVE those invites! you are so lucky you have a miss independent! i love to go exploring with B but sometimes, i just want to be alone for a bit. but it is funny because when he "brings" me somewhere he''ll look at the object or whatever it is, and then look at me and point to it and look at it again and look at me, kinda like he''s thinking "what''s that?" it''s pretty cute.

ella glad the kiddies are doing well! this is for sure a fun stage. we''re most likely having a day time party for B at the little gym.

burk so glad you guys found a good daycare!! has she started yet? it must be such a relief for you.

lili J is probably too busy playing and showing off how mobile she is to take a bottle! it is fun chasing the little guy round. we play peekaboo or i guess it''s hide and seek that way. i''ll chase him and he''ll think i''m still behind him cause i hear him laughing, and then he''ll stop laughing then i come out and "scare" him and he''ll laugh again. sometimes he''ll laugh so hard he loses his balance and falls down. he could play that all day.

QT when B first started to drool, i used bibs all the time, then he started to pull them off so i stopped and i ended up changing him a few times a day. yeah, B got used to walking pretty quick but only because he fell *so* many times! put he''s not a quitter, he got up and tried again.

snlee when B had poopy accidents all over the place, i would soak the stained clothes and sheets for awhile then put them in the wash immediately. and 99% of the time, the stains came out.

B has mastered a high five
9.gif
i''ve been trying to teach him for a week or so now, and he usually just grabs my hand and plays with it, but all today he actually gave me a high five. DH will be very happy about the news!

Oh Tacori, I LOVE Tessa''s invites!!!
30.gif
I know that Little Gym and Gymboree both provide invitations but I don''t think I want to use them, as I''ve heard they''re basically just advertisements for them - I think I''d rather do something cute like yours!

Ha ha on the high-five, Puffy
9.gif
It''s so fun when they master something new, isn''t it?

Jackie, how''s Jackson (and mama) doing? Feeling better, I hope!

Qtiekiki, it blows my mind when people try to dissuade mothers from nursing of all things!! Ridiculous. When my mother was here last December and my friend and I were both nursing our LOs on the couch, my mom''s comment about it being like a "g-damn milk farm" was what sent me over the edge. I mean, really. Criticize my choice of clothing if you want, criticize my decision not to use a paci, but NURSING?! How could you possibly argue against that? Like others have said, just ignore your SIL. Your baby, your body, your decision.

K''s got a black-and-blue butt!!
39.gif
While Gabe learned quickly how to get down from standing up (slowly, with a hand down), K still THWOMPS down on her arse HARD. Poor little thing.

YAY
36.gif

Congrats KAY!!!
Welcome to the world Alexis Sophia!!!!

36.gif
36.gif
Congrats Kay!!
Alexis Sophia is such a lovely name.
Can''t wait to see pictures of her.

Rest up and see you soon!

SDL-- thanks for the update.

Tacori
Cute invites.
Love how the color and the diamond strip across matches her onesie
5.gif

QT
Ahh....drools...I''m very familiar with that.
I hated bibs, so I just let J drooled on her onesies and would wipe her every now and then.
J started drooling a good 2 months before her first tooth came in.
Is M mouthing her fist constantly?

puffy
Sounds like little B is keeping you on your toes
5.gif

Hehe, I can just picture those little feet pitter-pattered across the room as you are chasing him -- too cute.

Ella
Poor lil MsK
8.gif

You mean the diaper didn''t provide enough cushioning?
41.gif

Qtiekiki, you look good, M is getting so big, and look at the cheeks...

Tacori, love the invitation, Tessa look so cute!!!

Congrats Kay!!

Nothing much going on here, trying to get over a very nasty sinus pressure/headache for the past couple days....err...can''t function well with the headache

QT - You look amazing! I am still trying to look like you, and I am 6 YEARS post partum
38.gif

She''s a cutie. BTW, everyone has their .02
20.gif
(especially the older ladies "that baby is hungry" "that baby needs a sweater" "that baby needs a nap" Blah blah blah! Ignore Ignore Ignore!!!!

Tacori - cute invite! Can''t wait to see the costume! My daughter is Lucielle Ball, and my son is Danny from Grease. very silly kids!

Jas - Sorry about the fussy little one! You can give me advice on my mothering skills as long as you bring the candy!
31.gif

Jen - Good Luck!

on Sunday we went over friends of DH''s house. She is 34, and has 5 girls!!!(so far!) They are still trying for that elusive boy! The cutest girls. They were like those russian dolls that all fit inside each other - they are little clones of each other in different sizes. Ages 10, 6, 4, 2.5, 7 months. WOW! BUSY! It had been so long since I had held a baby - she was so precious. Forgot about the spit ups though. Needless to say, THAT cashmere sweater is at the dry cleaners!LOL
35.gif

Congrats Kay! Welcome Alexis Sophia...what a beautiful name! Can''t wait to see the beautiful girl.
36.gif

puffy
how cute that B mastered the high five.

lili
M''s been gumming her fist for a while now before the drooling started.

bobo
Hope u feel better soon. It''s been one thing after another for you.

iluvcarats
So is your friend going to keep trying until they get a boy? The girls sound cute.

Congrats Kay!!! Welcome Alexis Sophia!!!

Congrats Kay!!! Welcome Alexis Sophia!!!

QT - She sure is!

Snlee, I cannot believe she is almost 1 either. I actually put whole milk on my shopping list!

Q, thanks. The invite turned out well. T still drools. She has always been a drooler. ALWAYS.

puffy, when is B''s b-day? I thought it was a really touching e-mail too. T loves to high five too. Babies are so funny.

Ella, we got one of those invites...UGLY! I was heavily "inspired" by a tiny print invite but could not bring myself to spend that much. Plus I wanted different colors so I did them on my own and printed them on Vista Print.

SDL! Thanks for sharing the news!

Kay, congrats mommy and to Mr. Kay! I cannot wait to hear all the details and see pictures of beautiful Sophia!

Lili, that was planned!
2.gif

Bobo, hope you feel better soon!

iluv, how adorable! Can''t wait to see your kids either. Your friend sounds CRAZY! Who needs a boy THAT much?!? I can''t wait to wear dry clean only clothes again
3.gif

Tac, I love the pic of T on the invitation, she looks so cute and she is going to be a heartbreaker!

Ella~Good to *see* you around! I'm sure you're keeping plenty busy with your little loves. Can't wait to see the pics of them in their Halloween costumes!!

Tacori~LOVE the invites!! That picture of Tessa is one of my favorites. Oh, and the email from baby.com-made me cry. Ever since having T I seriously could cry every day if I let myself. The best thing I've done, this child of mine!! I never had cervidil. Crazy how different doctors do things differently and we all still get such wonderful results!
9.gif

lili~Thanks! I have not seen a place with a ratio like this. They have all been 4:1 at the centers I've looked at so I'm guessing that's normal.

QT~Thanks! We're really excited we got so lucky with the daycare. T became a drooler around 3 months or so. We went through lots of bibs.

puffy~THanks! We have fall break next week so I'll be home with her. So she'll officially start the following Monday. I've been working on high fives too! So cute!

SDL~Thanks so much for the update!

Kay~Congrats!!!
36.gif

Bobo~sorry you've been under the weather. Yuck. Get to feeling better!

iluvcarats~5 girls! I love it. I'd love to have 4 or 5 kids, but DH is not in support of that one!
15.gif

Busy busy around here. T's had a bit of a cold and we've had family watching her during the days since we didn't have daycare lined up and I have fall break next week. She's still her happy self. Her latest fun trick is clapping for herself every time I say "yay Tayva." I just love it when she starts something new I can smile about!

jen''s a mommy again!
36.gif
Congratulations jen!

she posted this in the pregnant tread -
"marina lily was born at 444 pm yesterday and weighed 7 lbs 9 oz! Sophie was born at 445 pm and weighed 7 lb 4 oz! Both girls are redheads and are already bfing like champs - ill update more later!"

Lor, thanks! Everyone seemed to love the invites.

Burk, it is one of my favorites too. She has always had the crooked smile when she is really happy. Are you starting to plan T''s? I wish there was a way for me to help y''all with your invites. Oh well. I HAD to have cervidil. I had ZERO progress on my own. ZERO! The male doctor who inserted it warned me how uncomfortable it was and said he was sorry before he gave it to me. NEVER a good sign! Haha. It is painful going in and caused cramps but I got it around 10 pm and My labor kicked in around 5 am. My water broke on its own and T was born a little before 1 pm...so it was worth it.

Jen! Yay for you and your beautiful girls. Take care!

Congratulations Jen! You got some big girls. Welcome Marina and Sophie.

M''s bladder scan/x-ray is on Monday. Hopefully it will go easy.

tacori B's bday is december 7, so it's getting close. i'm working on the invites right now. i'm not sure what i want to do...a photo invite or regular kiddy birthday invite. i found these really cute ones that wanted to get, but i kinda still want to do the photo invite. have you given T whole milk yet? how is the party planning?

burk T sounds adorable!! when will she be 1?

B fell down pretty bad today
14.gif
usually when he falls, he'll get right up and keep going, but this time he stayed down on the ground and cried, well screamed! but if anything good/cute came out of this was that while he was screaming his little lungs out, he was pounding on the floor with his hands. it was funny, but only after i made sure he was ok. but he's ok now.

ETA: QT i hope M's scan goes ok on monday and she does well with it.

Q, keep us updated. I am sending M good thoughts. I had a million bladder scans in L&D and if they do them the same on babies it is SO easy. Very quick, no pain, but it might be hard to have her to keep still.

Puffy, oh T is just over a month older than B. I thought it was more. I love photo invites for babies. So cute! The planning is done. We aren''t having any activities but will have good food. So glad my mom will be here to help. I haven''t started whole milk yet but I think I will next week. I only have 2 cans of formula left. I don''t know why that makes me nervous. Poor B! Hope he wasn''t hurt. I remember the first time T cried REAL tears DH and I were heart broken.

I bought morning star nuggets for T yesterday. Anyone had them? I am not opposed to meat but frozen meat sometimes scares me. I am trying to think of new things she will eat. Pasta pick-ups are usually a hit. Also she LOVES mini egos. I just want to make sure she is getting everything she needs once she goes off formula.

Jen - Congratulations on your twin girls! Can''t wait to see them!

Burk - T is so cute! What a great disposition she has! Sick and still happy!
Those 5 girls are so cute! It is crazy over there though!
3.gif

QT - I hope the bladder scan goes well!

Tacori- My friend is Orthodox Jewish. They REALLY want a boy! I admire them. I couldn''t do it! (And she is little like us!)
I don''t remember the food stuff much anymore, so I don''t know if soy is ok, but if it is, my kids LOVE Boca Nuggets!

Puffy - Sorry about the fall. Hope it is all better now!

Oh soy might be bad? So many rules! Anyone know? Okay, I want to play in the cute kids in pumpkin game...here is my little pumpkin.

Tessa_pumpkins.jpg

Look how long her pants are! She is such a shortie! Haha.
