Thanks Tacori. I have to buy size 4''s for Amelia. 3''s are getting a bit bikini-ish.

I''ll be getting 4''s for Jake too. Actually, i probably could have skipped the giant box of 3''s b/c they were almost too small from the start.

Jas12, yay for Co sleeping through the night!!!

How exciting! I hope it continues.

Tacori, we are stocked up with boxes of diapers and wipes too. I can't help myself when there are coupons/sales either!

Jackie, yay for 2 real smiles!

Burk, good luck with tomorrow's daycare interview. I hope this is the one!

janine, I think baby acne is very common. D has some too, which started when he was just days old, but I'm not worried about it since it's normal. My pedi said that some babies get it from head to toe, so I'm just thankful his isn't that bad.

When did you start tummy time? I read on BabyCenter that at 3 weeks you're supposed to CONTINUE tummy time. We haven't even started tummy time! Well, today we did it briefly after I felt like I'm a bad mommy for not letting him strengthen his neck muscles.

Sorry to bust in here, but Tacori, Yo Gabba Gabba is now out on DVD & CD! Thought I''d give you a heads up in case you were interested!

snlee
We started tummy time around 3 weeks, but she wasn''t doing much at that age and she would fall asleep. I think some mommies on here mentioned that their pedi said not to worry about tummy time until 2 months. You are fine.

Diapers - I''ve been buying them online since not a lot of places carry the economy pack of Pampers swaddlers sensitive.

Jas12 - Yay for Co STTN!!!!

QT all the BRU that i have been to have the sensitive. so you might want to check there if you haven''t already. and it''s such a good deal when they have their $5 off coupon and then you can use other pamper''s coupons.

I''m bad at going to BRU b/c it''s not close by.

Diaper deals: Make sure you always figure out how much it is PER diaper. Sometimes the jumbos are cheaper than the big boxes. Makes no sense but just a heads up. I feel like I have seen boxes of pampers sensitives at Target too. Not 100% sure though. I cannot pay full price for diapers. It. Hurts. Too. Much.

Amber, I saw that! We actually have them on our DVD recorder (I save them) and my friend made us a DVD of them (before they were out). I wonder if they have extra footage though. I am such a geek. Motherhood changed me for sure

Snlee, honestly we HARDLY did tummy time. She would scream b/c she hated it and I didn''t have the energy to fight her. Her head was always round AND she hit her milestones early so my point is don''t beat yourself up if you don''t do it often. He''ll be fine

We did the pseudo tummy (where I have her on my chest while I''m reclined).
We didn''t have her do the real tummy time until she was more than a month I think.
Like QT and Tacori said, don''t worry about it for now unless you noticed there is a flat spot on D''s head.

misspinky
Your lil pumpkin is too cute.
She''s a tiny little thing.
Can''t believe she''s still in size 2 pampers!
Great family pic. You have a handsome family there.
Oh, I''ve commented in your dress thread, but I''ve got to agree w/ Tacori that you''ve got a killer bod

Tacori
Haha, didn''t think that Tessa will hit the ground running that fast :)
Wow, in less than a week from taking the first step to running eh?

Glad to hear that he''s on the mend and gaining weight.

Thanks Tacori. I have to buy size 4's for Amelia. 3's are getting a bit bikini-ish.

Already? J is still fitting comfortably in her size 3?
Didn't Amelia just went to size 2 not too long ago?
I remember when J was in size 3 for a while when Ame went to 2.
Wow, she just flew through size 3 huh?

Lili, it''s been about 3 weeks since T took her first step so it was fast but not overnight or anything! She is getting really good though. She can walk in circles, across the room, walk while eating
20.gif
She''s funny.

janine~Like the others say-baby acne is very common. Miss Chloe will get through it fine.

Tgal~Thanks. Keeping our fingers crossed....

Tacori~Thanks. If it wasn't the middle of the school year I would be just stay home but I'm under contract.

snlee~Thanks! I'm hoping so too. And, like Tacori said, don't worry that you haven't done tummy time. We used to do a lot of T's tummy time on my tummy because she liked it best just laying on me.

All this diaper talk is funny. I am also low on diapers. Thank goodness I'll have time to go to Sam's this weekend. Miss Tayva is still in 3's and I'm guessing will be for a while because we can overlap the tabs. She's a skinny thing. And, we use Huggies. I think most of you still use pampers, right? Maybe the fit is a little different.

Burk, I''m a huggie user. How much does Tayva weigh? Jake will move into the huggie''s 4 tomorrow. I''ve got me one big boy....

mrss~Jake is a big boy! Tayva was just under 20 lbs at her appt with the GI doc last week. However, she is 30 inches long. Tall skinny thing. I think she was close to 19 lbs at her 6 month and has barely put on any weight since. She's got her 9 mo check up next week. I doubt she's much over 20 lbs.

Burk, I think that''s pretty normal. My friend''s kid was a whooping 22 pounds at his 6 month and at his 9 month he was still in the 22 lb range. They just get so active in those three months that they just grow, but don''t really keep pudging out.

3''s still fit Amelia fine but when they get really saturated they come down way below her belly button. The 4''s are massive on her but I figured might as well put her in bigger ones than low riders. I just hope it''s not too uncomfy because they are now riding really high.

lili, Amelia is now 3 pounds heavier than J, so yeah, I think she breezed right through the 3''s for her. It''s the length that is the issue on her though. Misspinky I can''t believe your little girl is still in 2''s...she is so petite! How cute!!

snlee, I tried tummy time at around 1 month old but forget it...misery. I tried a bit harder at 2 months per the doc''s recommendation. Amelia also had torticollis so it was very important to get her off the back/sides of her head. She hated it for ages and then one day, just loved it. Babies are weird. Just keep checking for flat spots from time to time and adjust sleeping positions. Most flat spots correct themselves, but it is a bit unfortunate when their heads get totally flat and the face gets wide from everything spreading out funny. I have actually never seen a caucasian baby with this issue, but TONS of asian babies seem to have it! It''s only a cosmetic issue, but still. With torticollis it was a bit more important than cosmetic (could have caused facial deformities) so I was very diligent about Amelia''s posturing. I am happy to report her head is A-OK!

I don''t think T is even 20 lbs at 11 months and she has been in 4s since August. But like I said before she might be small but what comes out of her is anything but. She was barely in 3s.

By the way I was wrong when I said her front two teeth came in...her FOUR front teeth came in. I noticed when I was tickling her (b/c she was laughing so hard and her mouth was wide open). No wonder she was such a crab! She is making up for lost time.

Tgal~ I think it's very normal too. After 6 months is when they typically get on the move. Tayva is non-stop. I also noticed that the huggies natural fit (bought them by accident last time) are snugger and a little more of the low-rider than the regular huggies baby dry. Weird.

Tacori~Holy cow! Four teeth at once....I'd be crabby too!! Glad she's back to her old self. I can't see if T's other top tooth came in because she's too darn wiggly to let me check and I'm not putting my finger in there so she can bite me!

Tacori
Wow, four teeth.
Poor baby
8.gif

It''s a good thing they came in before her big day, else she''ll make one crabby host
41.gif

tacori awww, poor T!!! 4 teeth at once has gotta suck big time. hope she''s back to her normal self.
so, we were at a friend''s place yesterday and the kiddies were watching yo gabba gabba. B was laughing hysterically at the tv. he was watching and laughing and clapping, babbling. it was so funny!! at home, he just watches his baby einstein and a few other shows on PBS kids. i guess it''s time to turn on yo gabba gabba for him.

Burk, I don''t normal check but I had the perfect opportunity so I went for it.

Lili, I feel bad for her too. Her nose is running so bad and I am not sure if it is the teething or the cold that seems to be going around.

Puffy, "Yo Gabba Gabba" is like the universal entertainment for little ones. They seem to LOVE it. I thought it was strange at first but now I am kinda fond of it. Maybe b/c sometimes it is the ONLY thing that makes her happy.

Tacori~That is the perfect opportunity. I try to get big smiles so I can see but my angle is never right.
20.gif
I''m pretty sure she has two top teeth because she was giving me huge smiles when I fed her lunch today. However, there was also food in there so who knows.
16.gif

I think I''ll have to try "Yo Gabba Gabba" again. T is so squirlly I can''t get her to sit down and watch but maybe she''ll go for it now that she''s a little older.

Burk
Try giving her tummy raspberry (you know when you blow on her tummy).
That should get her to laugh with her head tilted back so that you have a good angle :D

You are lucky Tayva doesn''t use your fingers as chew toys.
That''s how I found that J''s lower teeth broke though
14.gif

Oh, believe me lili, she tries to use my fingers as a chew toy but it doesn't feel good since she got her bottom teeth in. But, that's how I realized she got those in, too.

Hi all -- I came over here hoping to find lots of cute baby pics to lure the girls out with! Maybe if I post on the mommy thread, I''ll be able to BE on the mommy thread soon

Good to know I am not behind on giving D tummy time! lili, we've been doing pseudo tummy time. I think I'll give him tummy time when I remember to and will start doing it daily at 1 or 2 months. I'll ask my pedi about it.

D is 3 weeks old today and I cannot believe how fast he's growing! His kicks are definitely stronger too! It's fun watching him grow.

jen, sending you lots of labor vibes! Can't wait for you to join us here with your two little girls!

Jen, hope to see you over here *permanently* soon!!

T loves to be hung upside down
20.gif
Often times I sit on the floor with my legs straight but bent slightly and lay her on them so her head hangs just past my knees. She is obsessed with this. She will even throw herself back if I try to "sit" her up. It is hysterical. Anyways, it is a great angle to see for any new teeth. My girl doesn''t just giggle she belly laughs. I love it.

Jen, hang in there lady!

Ugh 2 mildly sick babies today (congested/slight cold, no fever)...so fussy and uncomfortable, the poor little guys.

But (and i feel horrible for saying this) they are sleeping A LOT today.

Jas, that sucks! T got her first cold really young (I think 3 months). Too young for real medicine. We had to give it to her through stream. Saline nose drops help (they hate it through!) Also if you go in your bathroom and turn the shower on HOT the steam helps unclog their noses too. Hope they feel better soon!

Jas
Hope the boys feel better soon.

I think it''s best to avoid medications if possible since clinical trials of drugs are rarely done on children.

Tacori, four teeth at once must be so painful. Poor T! Hope she is back to her normal self soon.

jackie, hope your boys feel better soon.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
