TGal--
Yeah, she went from 20% at birth to 90% at the 4 months I think.
Then dropped to 50% at the sixth months, and now she's back at the 20% tile.

She wants us to go back in 7 weeks to make sure that she doesn't fall off the chart.

Off topic:
Where is the jean picture you promised?

burk how was T when you picked her up today? T is such a social butterfly! i hope you got to spend some time with her while she was happy.

tgal A is a tall girl! B was just about the same height and weighed less. and i'm sure she'll get moving soon. and some kids never do crawl so she might just skip crawling and go right onto walking. enjoy the time where you don't have to chase her down and around the entire place.

tacori heehee, i'm kinda youngish too. ok, i'll be 28 in april so i still have a few good years left. DH just turned 31 so he's not THAT old. i WAS the one pushing him to TTC, but now when he asks me about it, i just tell him maybe in a few more months. maybe it's because B is just so loving and just the best thing in the entire world (my world) cause now i'm just when ever is fine, no big deal. or maybe it's cause i realized how much MORE work it would be to have another one soonish and to have to chase B around.

snlee yeah, by the time i realized i was in labor and got to L&D, i was almost 8 cm so then i opted to have the epi and i got like a dose and a half. but i had it pretty easy. so to hear that you would choose to go natural, WOW! how is D doing? hope he continues to sleep well on his new schedule.

lili poor girl!!! i came down with a cold and just feel like crap, so congested.
i hope she recovers from this one soon.
so, honestly what are you hoping for, a boy or girl?
i think that because J is a mover and just wants to explore everything, she burns a ton of calories. i think she's fine the way she is. B was 30.5 inches and 18.5 lbs at 9 months and there was no concern there. but i hope that J gains some weight. but she just looks so darn perfect!

mrsM sorry to hear about the sleeping being all over the place these past few nights.

I think it''s because J''s so active! Who wouldn''t be svelte with all the exercise she gets?
30.gif

OK, jean pic. I have one but will have to resize it later. Have to run out to get stuff for dinner.

Tgal--nope, he can''t get into the sitting position by himself from his belly, he can only get out of it-- and by pretend crawl i mean that he uses his arms and legs to get him across the room (bum in the air, but back not straight) but he never gets the knees going under him (really hard to explain--need a video) he''s been doing this for a while, so i was sure he''d be fully ''getting it'' by xmas, but he''s still doing this weird scooting thing.
We need a new Ame pic!!!!

Lili--oh i hope J doesn''t bite u with both sets of teeth! i am cringing just thinking about it.Co''s cognitive skills do impress me--i discovered today (in addition to the dog thing) that he knows how to identify 4 colors! I had pj''s on with primary colored dots and i can ask him to point to the color and he almost always gets them right!
6.gif
--but then he tries to eat them--lol. I think all kids have their ''thing'' early on. Amelia is an amazing sleeper, J has outstanding motor skills, etc. etc. but they all end up more or less at the same spot by their first b-day.

MrsS. I am interested to hear how much jake weighs since he and Co seem to have similar stats month to month. I think Co is only a little over 20 lbs. He has not gained much in the past month or so--despite eating 24/7

speaking of food-my sickypoo hated the soup i slaved away at. Would not even touch it.
15.gif
--i know he''s sick when...

Jas - James has freaked out like that at a book too! I think it was last week that DH was reading to him and one minute James was fine and the next he was red-faced and screaming. I thought he was hurt so I grabbed him and held him until he calmed down. Went back to the book and the same thing happened. It is strange.

Burk - James is grumpy in the evening as well. He''s such a morning person, which is nice for me when I''m getting ready in the morning. He usually starts at around 7pm and we try to bathe, feed and put him to bed by 8pm.

Mrs. M - Sorry to hear about A''s teething and sleeping troubles - I know how you feel. James has been working on his first tooth for like 2 months now and still nothing. Drools like crazy and "chews" on his left fingers. He''s also been waking at night - but it''s because he now rolls all around in his crib.

6 month stats: 19lbs, 4.5ozs, 28" length, 44cm head circum. He''s in the 75th for weight, 85th for height and 60th for head circum. Big boy! Doc was very impressed by his ability to manipulate things with his hands yay! He''s loving the exersaucer and we got some good pics of them that I''ll post once they''re in the computer.

I went back to work on Tuesday and so far so good. Grandma had him on Tuesday and will have him tomorrow and his sitter, Amy had him yesterday and today. He loves to play with the older kids - There''s 3 regulars that are between 1 and 1.5 years. He''s the only infant, which I like. At work it''s still the same crazy clients with the same crazy problems

Tacori
Tessa is not spoiled; she plays with all her toys.
Good thing your CC company blocked the charge. CC company are pretty good at doing that; it protects them from loss too.
I can understand why you are gun shy about labor.

Burk
Sorry about Tayva''s daycare problems. She just wants to be with mommy. Hope she''ll get used to the routine again soon.
It''s weird that people ask why T doesn''t have more teeth.

janine
Chloe is adorable. More pics pls.

snlee
Yay for more sleep.

puffy
How fun that you took Brady to a game. I would love to take M to a Lakers, but it''s so hard to get ticket.

M is fussing, will con''t later.

Jas12- co is smart if he's recognizing colors. the doggie thing is pretty crazy too. Jake understands the word up and will raise his hands but that's about it. oh, and I'm sure he knows his name. I hope Co feels better, poor little guy.

tgal and Jas12-thanks for the food list. tgal, I hope amelia will like real food better than the baby food. i don't blame her one bit for not wanting the babyfood.

So, here are a couple pics of Jake. His favorite thing is getting to anyplace where he can pull up and stand and here he is in our kitchen.

jakestandkit.jpg

Jas12~Sorry about the biting! That does not sound fun! I think CO is a genius! Identifying colors? Tayva identified our dog and my husband and I tonight and I was so proud of her and she''ll be one next week.
16.gif
Really, though, his cognitive skills are very good! Poor sick baby! Hope he gets to feeling better soon (your DH too, because I know how men are when they''re sick!)

Mrsm~Thanks! That''s crazy about dentist appts!! Their teeth will come in when they''re good and ready. Sorry your mom is obsessed with Amelia''s foot size. That''s kind of funny!
16.gif
She''s waking at relatively the same time. huh. You said she''s working on some teeth. Could she be waking out of discomfort? I agree that you probably don''t want to get in the habit of nursing to sleep. Does she take a paci? Hope tonight is a better night!

Tacori~I think you''re right that cranky late in the day is pretty normal, but this is beyond what it used to be like before our holiday break and when I was home with her. Bittersweet is so true. Tonight I asked her where her daddy was and she walked over to him and gave him a hug and I started crying because she''s getting so big! So much fun and I love every minute, but part of me would like to bottle her up and keep her at this age because before I know it she''ll be 13 and I''ll be miserable!
41.gif

lili~I thought maybe she was ready, but they tried one afternoon nap yesterday (skipping the morning) and she only slept for an hour and a half and was crabby by 5 and I had to put her down for another nap then. Reassuring to know T''s not the only 1 year old without more than 2 teeth! That girl of yours is a mover for sure. If she''s starting to stand on her own it won''t be too long until she walks!

Tgal~I agree with the others, most would trade early crawler for crazy good sleeper any day of the week!
37.gif
I''m sure she''ll decide to do something soon....maybe just skip to cruising and then walking.

puffy~T was super happy when I picked her up. She took two naps (one 45 min and one 1 hr 15 min) and stayed happy until 5:30 or so. Feeding her was a battle, though, because she was super tired and didn''t like anything I gave her. She kept throwing the food to the dog saying "no, no no"
20.gif
Man she has attitude! Funny your DH is asking you about TTC now!
9.gif
I''m sure it''ll happen when it''s supposed to happen!

Happier T tonight overall. Had to put her to bed at 6:30 because she was still so tired but I think we''re getting there. When I went to get her today they told me she was just waking up so I went back to get her out of her crib and she was standing waving at me and had thrown her paci, sock and stuffed puppy out and her paci under one of the other kids cribs.
20.gif
The kid is a piece of work!

and here''s the 9 month Mr. Bear pic..

jake9monthbear.jpg

whoops, was posting while others were!

mrss~Adorable pic of Jake in his pj''s in the kitchen and the beloved bear photo! So cute!

QT~yea, it is odd that people ask about the teeth! I''m sure she''ll get back into our routine soon. Just hard for me because I feel so guilty.

Diva~That''s great that James is adjusting well to you being at work! I usually have to wake T up in the morning (around 8) so I don''t get that morning time with her
7.gif
. I''d like to get her bed time back to 7:30 but it''s been before 7 all week due to lack of sleep during the day. We''ll get into a routine again, though.

Awwww, he is getting so big. What a cutie pie Jake is. Just adorable!!!!!

aww, he is soo soo cute!

Jake is adorable! Look how small Mr. Bear looks now!

Diva--hmm, so James did the same thing with a book--must be something going on in their little brains that we''ll never understand
33.gif

(either that or they hate our reading voices-ha)

MrsS..OMG--look at our little Jake
36.gif
36.gif
. Is it really weird that i get all emotional about kids i''ve never met. I have a real attachment to Amelia, Jake and Jadie b/c of the age and always talk about them. Just showed Charlie that pic of him standing and he thinks i am lying when i say that he and Jadie are the same age--haha. He''s super impressed. Only 3 more pics with the bear and then u can do a collage!!!

I just ran out to the grocery store (24 hr place, so a little more expensive) and got a small carton of raspberries for Co b/c they looked surprisingly good and I know he''ll love them, esp b/c he''s sick and all--so i get to the cash and she rings them thru. Nearly $7.00!!!! You''ve got to be kidding me. i know i live in the freakin artic, but come on! So i told the cashier i was putting them back (luv the kid, but not $7 for 20 berries love ) and she agreed that was crazy so she went ''shhh'' and rung them in for $2.00--sweet. Oh the stuff that gets me excited these days
3.gif

nite nite

Ha...that is pretty sweet Jas. I thought I loved Amelia enough to buy organic butternut squash at whole foods (a upscale grocery store here). TGuy went to buy them for me and I saw the receipt and nearly died. TWENTY ONE DOLLARS for only THREE squash! OMG.
23.gif
Needless to say, I decided regular Trader Joe''s squash was fine. Fortunately, I haven''t had to buy any more since the kid doesn''t eat!!!!

And Co is crawling, as far as I am concerned. Crawling, scooting, sitting and shifting...it''s all movement. The doc is concerned because Amelia shows no signs of wanting to be mobile, period. She is way way too complacent. Co has crazy cognitive skills. Give that kid a mensa test already!

MrsS, wow, Jake is such a grown boy now (especially seems that way because he''s standing!). You have to post a side by side of month 1 and now!

MrsM, that was interesting...maybe it''s an Amelia thing to just like sitting and not much of anything else? Hee!

Burk, Tayva is a funny girl..haha!

Diva, James sounds healthy and strong! We need new pics.
2.gif

Anyhoo, you know what I like about pricescope? That I really like everyone''s babies. I''m not normally a competitive person, but this is one area where I think I could potentially see myself going off the deep in with people in real life. On pricescope, I''m thrilled when babies hit milestones and very interested in progress for progress sake. It''s just fun to see what everyone''s kids are doing.

Ah way too cute; he has grown so much Mrs. Salvo; what a cutie pie!!!!

janinegirly, your daughter is adorable!!!

Jas12, love the hair on Co; so cute!!!

qt this is the first game we have taken B to, but hopefully it will not be the last. we spent so much on the tickets but it was worth it as we got REALLY good seats. but the one bad thing is that it is SOOOO crazy loud in there. B wasn''t too affected only cause i think there was still so much he was trying to take in.

burk that''s so sweet that she was so happy to see you! and that''s great that she''s identifying you guys. she''s going to be learning so much soon and she''s really going to amaze you.

mrsS jake is so cute!! i love that pic of him in the kitchen.

jas12 Co IS a smart little one! little boy genius.

tgal i hear ya about being excited for everyone''s babies. IRL, i am pretty excited about my friends'' kids and all, but they seem to think that there''s some competition going on, so i don''t really share B''s new tricks and other stuff he knows with them. when i do mention it or they see B doing something, they will say very quickly, well my kid''s been doing X for X long. i really am happy about all the kiddies here and all the kiddies i know. i think it''s super exciting when they earn stuff and do stuff, but i guess some people take the fun out of everything.

Tgal, lili, Jas12, and MrsS
Can’t believe Amelia, Jadelyn, Cohen and Jake are 9 months already. Time flies.
Tgal
M is like a pinhead like Amelia. Her weight and height had been 90% and head circumference is just 50%. Though I don’t think she grew much the past two months, I’ll have to wait and see at her 6 months appt in a few weeks.
Hopefully Amelia will start moving soon. M had not made any progress with rolling over. She’ll go on her side sometimes, but that’s it. She doesn’t seem to be interested in rolling over. Sitting up, on the hand, is a different story.
lili
I agree with Tgal that J’s low weight gain is probably because she is so active. Hopefully she will gain more. It’s kind of weird to think that M could possibly weight more than J.
Jas12
I feel your pain on the nipple biting. M had done is a few times, and she only has two bottom teeth. It’s painful.
Such of a cute pic of you and Co.
MrsS
Jake is so much bigger than Mr. Bear now. Just adorable.
Puffy
I bet the tickets were expensive, especially since they were playing the Lakers. Once I got Lakers vs King tickets as DH’s Christmas gift when we were dating. I spent like $700 for seats in the lower 100 section. It’s crazy. Never again. DH tries to get tickets now when they go on pre-sale for members, but even by some games are already sold out to the season ticket holders.

To everyone else I missed, have a great day.

The last two nights had been rough for us. M cried hysterically when we were trying to put her to sleep on Wed. I am trying to put her in the crib drowsy the past few weeks. She did ok a handful of time after I patted her a few times. I am not quite ready to do CIO yet. So back to Wed, I put her down and she was fussing. I patted her, but then she started crying hysterically and we couldn’t get her to stop. We held her, rocked her, nursed her, but nothing worked until she finally fell asleep from crying. Then yesterday, my MIL told us that M didn’t nap the whole day. When I got home from work (at 5), I nursed her and she napped for 30 min in our bed. Then the same thing happened again today. She cried herself to sleep in our arms. I don’t know what’s going on. Is it teething again? I felt her gum, but I didn’t feel a tooth and didn’t think it was swollen. She had no fever. Any thoughts?

Real quick (then I will come back and catch up). Mommies you should check out this! I have been following it for awhile now and it could really hurt us. In the same vain anyone having a sale on giddys before they ban them?

Aw Mrs. Salvo, Jake is so adorable, love this picture. How did you manage to take away his Santa hat??

Linda

Jas12~I would have told everyone I know if I had gotten a deal like that! The simple things
41.gif

Tgal~
23.gif
The price of everything lately has been pretty ridiculous but I cannot see $21 for squash....I don''t care how many you bought!
40.gif
I second your comment about being genuinely happy for all the PS mommies! It''s so fun to watch all of the little ones grow up, learn new trips, get hair, ect! And, I feel so sad when they''re sick or having bad days.

puffy~It is sweet that she''s been such a mommies girl lately....although traumatizing for me when I drop her off at daycare!
6.gif
It''s funny I never thought to let her do the identifying before. I always identify objects, repeat, repeat, repeat and I never really gave her a chance. Turns out she knows more than I gave her credit for!
16.gif

QT~Sorry M''s having a rough time. Could be teeth I suppose. Can''t really think of what else. Does she always do the crying thing after you try and put her in her crib drowsy? Hmmm..

Tacori~Just went to the link and read that article. While I am all for this for the safety of our kids, I feel so badly for those who will no longer have a business due to this! Where is the middle ground?

Happy Friday everyone!! I cannot tell you how happy I was to wear jeans to work today and know that tomorrow I get to spend the entire day tomorrow with my super-clingy daughter!

puffy--
i''m not too worried about her weight either.
she doesn''t look or feel like a bag of bones.
she''s probably going to be on the petite side like mommy.
but her lack of interest in eating babyfood does concern me a bit.
dh thinks that she''s getting bored with it since she''s tried and done it already.
she''s good with her finger food though. we''ll try some finger food this weekend and see.

anyway, we are hoping for another girl :)
but if it''s a boy, we are fine with that too.

Jas12--
Whoa, identifying colors already? Very impressive.
TGal is right, someone give that kid a mensa test!
Anyway, I cringed every time I am about to feed her.
If Co can drew blood with just one set, can you imagine what would happen with 2?
32.gif

Awww....poor Co. Hope he feels better soon.
Those berries sound sweet and what a sweet deal you got :P

MrsS--
Look at that cutie pie in his little PJs.
And look how proud he is with his new skills
1.gif

TGal and puffy--
I hear you ladies about being competitive with the kiddie''s milestones IRL.
I hate it when parents (or grandparents) do that -- "my so and so does this, how come yours doesn''t"
or like puffy said "my so and so does x for x long". nevermind that your so and so is about a year older :P
And it''s funny how they seem to forget if your kid is ahead in some areas.

Burk--
Tayva is too funny....already a little diva huh?

QT--
It could be teething.
I know it hit J harder when her upper ones came in since they are bigger.

qt maybe M is teething or maybe she''s just fussy. have you always been putting her down awake and she settles herself? or maybe she is just over tired?
yeah tickets were expensive but we sat 5 rows off the court, so i was happy to have spent that much to sit there. DH is already talking about the next game. haha. we''ll see if we go to another one anytime soon.

burk that''s so great that you have your girl this weekend! and can spend a ton of time with her. how is the party planning coming? once they turn one, it is so much fun eshttps://www.pricescope.com/idealbb/images/editor.icons/bold.gifpecially since she can walk. she''s going to be showing you how smart she really is soon!! i''m so excited for her first birthday!! can you believe it''s been a year already?!?!

lili maybe she is just ready for something other than baby food? tried table foods yet? how about some yogurt, cheese, tofu? kids love yogurt, most of the time. just trying some different ideas for you. or fruits are always a hit too. awww, another girl would be nice but prettier than J is going to be hard, but just as pretty would be nice. we had a play date earlier in the day and my friend asked about J cause she saw her pic last time so i showed her some of the recent ones, and she was just blown away. seriously, you guys better practice scaring off the boys now!
oh and it is so funny because i know a 2 year old boy who''s mom is always comparing B with her son making B sound dumb because he is not advanced like her son. so i just said the other day, well you know your son is A LOT older than B so i''m not too worried and i think B is fine and smart just the way he is, thank you! that shut her up!!

tacori i have also been following the article quite closely. it is so sad that the smaller shops will most likely close. it is good that they are doing the testing, but not so good that they are required for EVERYTHING and EVERYONE is required to them. YIKES!!

wow, this is the first i''ve heard of this. I''ll be following it more closely.

Linda-Jake doesn''t seem to miss the santa hat because I''ve replaced it with the one with the firetruck one
9.gif
. It''s COLD here and my baldy boy needs to wear a hat most of the time.

tgal-I agree that I really to love seeing all the PS babies reach their milestones and I really am worried about them when they are sick. Kinda strange since I don''t know any of you but yet you all are really the only one''s I talk babytalk with.

Hi all,

Quick drive by with babies sleeping on my chest here! Question for all you experienced mommies. Right now the babies are sleeping mostly in their pack n play in the living room and DH and I each take half the night (well, I take more because of feedings, but I do get a nice chunk of sleep because he does the 1am/2am feeding).

My mom mentioned that we really should be having them sleep in their room in their cribs now or else we are going to have a hard time transitioning them to their crib later. Do you all think this is true? I don't love having them in their crib because it's across the house and so I need to get up and walk there whenever they need something, which obviously is often right now (and our hardwood floors are COLD!). When they are in their pack n play or arms reach cosleeper I can basically just roll over and see what they need.

I'm thinking that my mom is paranoid...but just wanted to ask the experts here!

And as payment for your advice a few new pictures!

Here is our little thinker, Dexter. He is finally filling out a bit (he was the little one).

boysSMALL216.jpg

And here''s Max in his favorite pose. He sleeps like this pretty much all the time.

I can''t wait for more free hands so I can post more in this thread! You are all so wonderful and helpful to us new moms!

boys214.jpg

Awwwwwwwwwwwww Neat. Dexter and Max are absolutely ADORABLE, they are so darn precious. Bless their little hearts. Please give them a smoochy for me.
