mrss and Tacori~True that baby food is easy and we can measure what they eat! I do agree it would be nice if she could use the spoon and feed herself, though!

jas awww, the boys are sooo cute!! sounds like they are doing just fine.

L2L Parker is such a cutie! he totally look different than the other pic you posted. how are things going?

tacori glad you are enjoying the macbook. how is T doing? as cute as ever i''m sure.

burk glad T is doing a bit better. i just hope she gets a break soon!

pave heehee, all our homes look like BRU and TRU. just wait til Tyler gets older and he gets more and more toys! and he''s so young right now, you really don''t have to worry about using "props" or holding him to sleep or anything. as long as he sleeps and he is comfortable and the reflux isn''t as bothersome, that''s all that matters. oh and on the diapers, we used the swaddlers also and changed him a lot!! so it is totally normal. don''t have any other diaper recommendations.

curly Lucy is big girl!!! and they both sound just so adorable! yay for a big 2nd birthday party for lily!!

mrsS hope jake feels better soon, or at least stops throwing up! poor guy.

it''s nuts over here...like a mad house. i have stuff everywhere that needs to be organized for the closet people, who were supposed to come yesterday but i had to cancel because i have not cleaned things out of there. B''s new thing is to help me do everything. when i give him his food for him to feed himself, he will say mommy and hold the spoon to my mouth. i''ll take a bite then he''ll take a bite, same thing with his water. and when we (by we i mean B and i) brush his teeth, he wants to brush mine. when he sees that i am having a snack, he will reach in the bag to get a piece to feed me, not himself. he''s so funny. i''m just really loving this stage right now, can you tell
2.gif

have a great weekend everyone!!

L2L: what a cutie!!

Wow, Curly, Lucy is doing amazing! I don''t think she is huge necessarily since she is proportioned. It basically just seems like she is a 5-6 month old baby!! A friend of mine also has a "bigger" #2 baby (also born 7-8lbs) and you can really see it in her face--she is all fat! But I don''t see it in Lucy''s photos at all--she just looks like she''s advanced! Lily meanwhile sounds so spunky--I think it might just be a phase? (2 year old diva phase maybe). Either way reading how your little girls interact is so sweet and makes me realize how special/important a sibling can be.

Meanwhile, I''m kind of getting worried that Chloe is too small. The pedi says it''s fine (but he always says it''s fine!)--should I be encouraging her to have more feedings? Right now she takes 4-5oz every 3 hours. I''ve tried to give her a little more than 5oz but she always leaves some behind or starts spitting it out-- so doesn''t seem much point of trying to feed her bigger portions. At night she sleeps straight through so 7hours with no feeding. I feel like her size might also be related to her hitting milestones slower too (rolling over, etc).

Ack, missed the new pics of Jas'' little ones...they are adorable AND hilarious!!!!

lili, I agree, we need a bigger picture of your avatar!

puffy, I think D is going through a growth spurt. He''s extremely fussy! Poor B! Teething is no fun!

Tacori, I asked about your new laptop too. Yay for new MacBook! Can''t wait to see that Tessa ball pit picture!

curly, what a big girl you have there! We all knew that already though. And yay for rolling over! I always love reading your updates about how the girls interact. So sweet.

janine, try not to worry about Chloe''s size. Seems she''s eating well. Maybe she''s just a smaller baby and that''s okay! Nothing wrong with that! I''m sure if there was something wrong the doc would say, and Chloe IS around 25-50 percentile so that''s good! And we have to not compare our babies to Lucy, cause obviously she''s way bigger and advanced for her age! I think it''s true that the 2nd child advances faster since they have a sibling they look up to and want to be like. D hasn''t rolled over but I''m not worried.

jas, your boys are adorable! I love reading your updates. Don''t feel bad for not keeping up. You don''t need to address all of us individually. Just update us about your babies and post pictures if you can. I can''t imagine how busy life is with twins! Same goes to Jen, NF, and ella! Hi ladies! Check in when you can.

L2L, Parker is adorable! Look forward to reading your L&D story!

pave, try moving up to size 1 diapers?

MrsS, poor Jake! I hope he feels better soon!

Tacori--
Haha, I say between Tessa, Tayva and Brady, we''ve got just about all the toys covered!
Get that photo program download and give us those ballpit pictures.

Jas12--
Sorry about AF.
It was nice not having to worry about it for 19 months huh?
At least now you have a head start on TTC#2 -- don''t have to wait a few months after you weaned for your cycles to regulate.

puffy, T is doing really well. BTW does B (or any of the other young toddlers) have a poop corner? I swear she goes and stands in the same place to poop. So weird. Your B is WAY smart. He makes Tessa sound so dumb. Haha.

Janine, please don''t worry. My motto is I only worry when my doc is worried. My doctor actually was worried at her 4 month appointment (can''t remember her weight off the top of my head but it was in the 10th - 5th % tile). She STILL rolled both ways at 4 months so I don''t think low weight affects the milestones. I would not force feed. Just keep doing what you are doing. She might just be a skinny mini. Because everyone was worried I supplemented with high cal formula (they sell it everywhere). I was still BFing at the time. She gained a whole lb in a month so it really worked for us. I guess if you are worried you could try that.

snlee, thanks. Are you enjoying your Derek ring?
1.gif

lili, you are right. We have some spoiled kids! But being a SAHM the toys are just as much for my sanity as for her enjoyment!

Hey guys -- I know I haven''t been around much this month and I''m sorry I''ve been a crappy PS friends, but I''ll do my best to catch up soon! And I LOVE the latest pics Jas! Snlee, thanks for thinking of me :)

The reason I''m here: I just started painting my oldest son''s room again ( a project i abandoned when I found out I was pg) -- he''s turning 11 next wednesday and finishing and fixing up his room is his main present from us (complete with new desk and bookcase) -- anyway I just had a freakout -- I''m breastfeeding the girls and I didn''t ventilate the room well while I was painting. I still have a bit of a headache (it''s cold here, so i only cracked one window about 2 inches)....how long should i pump and dump? i''ve already done it once... the info i find online only talks about alcohol, not inhalents in the milk... any ideas?

any asap responses would be much appeciated!!
jen

snlee and janine, PLEASE don''t compare your precious babies to Lucy. She''s the exception, not the rule. It would kill me to think that I''m making you guys feel like there''s something wrong with your babies. Trust me, they are just perfect. I''m beyond freaked out that I have humongobaby, it is not at all what I''m used to or what I expected.

janine, definitely don''t overfeed Chloe. She''s letting you know when she''s full so there''s no need to try to force more on her. Clearly she''s growing well and sleeping great so I don''t think you have anything to worry about. She''s petite and that''s not a bad thing!! I wouldn''t sweat the milestones either. They are just basic guidelines and the ranges of "normal" are so huge, I really think they need to reevaluate the whole system. You''re doing a great job, mama. Trust your instincts...

snlee, I think you''re right about Lucy having the advantage because she has an older sibling. She is absolutely fascinated by everything Lily does so it doesn''t surprise me that she''s trying to imitate her already. I honestly don''t think the rolling over thing is a big deal yet. Some babies don''t do it till much later and it really doesn''t affect their progress in the future. You seem to have a good handle on things and Derek is obviously thriving, not to mention absolutely adorable.
1.gif

L2L, Parker is such a cutie pie. Thanks for sharing him with us!! Looking forward to hearing your story.

Burk and Tacori, I agree with mrssalvo. As long as they''re enjoying baby food, let them keep eating it!! They are definitely getting more nutritious meals than the rest of us! The pizza thing is funny--Lily would eat pizza every day for every meal if she could! But she also likes things like cole slaw, indian food and olives! I think the less you try to force things on them, the more they''ll be interested in trying things on their own.

mrssalvo, I hope Jake is feeling better soon. Those stomach bugs suck.
8.gif

puffy, I can''t wait to see your finished closets! We are thinking about doing ours too so I''d love to see some real life examples.

sk8rjen, it''s great to see you. Unfortunately, I have no advice for you but I can''t imagine your milk would be affected. But I''m dumb so don''t listen to me. Looking forward to seeing new pics of the girls when you get a chance.

TGal, puffy, Jas12, Burk, snlee, and Curly --
Haha, sorry about that. I thought I did post a bigger pic of it.
Got sidetracked as usual. Anyway, that is not really a good picture of her.
Her face is a mess with ezcema and snots coming out of her nose
15.gif

jas--
Glad you checked in.
Life with ONE 5 month is crazy. Life w/ 5month old twins is INSANE :P

We love the expressions on their faces too!!
Jackson and Logan are getting so big and handsome.
Does Jackson have curly red hair? Looks like it on my computer.

Pave--
Hehe, I hear you on our home looking like BRU.
It''s amazing the amount of stuff you use just for one little person.
Glad to hear that Tyler is sleeping well.

Curly--
Wow, Lucy is another tall one (and strong too).
We need monthly pictures of your girls you know.
Lily sounds like a riot. I can''t say that I''m surprised since she was already showing that personality when she was younger.
So does Lily have any input (being the boss that she is) on her big party?
41.gif

MrsS--
Poor Jake. Hope he feels better soon.
And hope you and your girls don''t catch it.
And good luck with the job resumes.

L2L--
Parker is adorable.
Like TGal said, he doesn''t look like a newborn.
Was he almost 9lbs at birth?

puffy--
haha, so funny about B being mommy''s little helper and wanting to feed you.
speaking of which, J fed me some of her dried fruits today!!

If it makes you feel better, Chloe is eating more than J!
Sounds like she''s doing great already with sleeping through 7 hrs w/o a feeding.
Also, don''t worry about her size hindering her milestones.
Both my nieces were tiny (they were in size 2 diapers when they turned one) and both were extremely healthy and strong.
Walking by 10.5 months.

tacori glad to hear that T is doing well. haha, a poop corner, i love it! B doesn''t have a poop corner, but he will only poop during lunch time. that''s kinda weird!

snlee teething is no fun for sure! i just hope they come in quick. how is D doing?

lili haha, between all the kiddies, i''m pretty sure we have everything at TRU. and as tacori said, it really is for sanity as much as for their enjoyment! B loves to help me do everything, it is so crazy! just today i was vacuuming and he went and got his little vacuum and started to vacuum behind me. CRAZY but cute. awww, J is sharing already! and i would like to see a bigger version if you don''t mind. J just looks so cute in that little chinese outfit.

curly i am so bummed, the closet people were supposed to be working on the closet already, but i just can''t find the time right now to clean things out. but when i am done, i will definitely take pics of it.

jen so glad to see you. sorry i don''t have the answer about your milk but i hope you were able to find something to help you. hope all the kids are doing well!

haha, ok.
it''s actually not a chinese outfit -- more of a korean dress.
the cheong sam that my aunt got her was a bit too big and mature looking.
i wanted the 2 piece traditional outfit, but they ran out -- so the korean dress will do.

korean.JPG

lili OMG!! i love it

30.gif
and J is just as pretty as ever! the korean dress is pretty, or maybe it;s just J making it look pretty. i can''t get enough of that girl! what a pretty little lady.

here''s one of her eating her red envelope

korean_hb.JPG

just for kicks, i put her in my nephew''s old chinese outfit.
so here''s my little boy for the day.

chinese.JPG

here's one of her with a goofy look.
she doesn't look too happy in her get-up.

have to show the fake braid that comes with the hat

AHAHA! I LOVE the braid lili!

She is gorgeous...and of course you KNOW I love the Korean dress! Where did you get it if you don''t mind my asking? I have to get one for Amelia''s first birthday. Would you mind sharing how much they run? I haven''t even looked into it yet.

Hehe, I was thinking of you for Amelia's first bday when I put her in that dress.
They have them in Chinatown. Practically any places that sell children's clothes have them.
They are about $13. Made with cheap material, so it's not something that will last :P
But good enough for photo ops eh?

If you need a specific place and location, I can give you the address.
Just let me know.

Here''s one of her in a novelty t-shirt my officemate got for her.
That little monkey loves to hold my legs from behind and walk with me.

OMG, she is so cute and such a character...that shirt is hilarious and perfect!

Thanks for the tip. I think places in Koreatown charge way more. I may need to go to chinatown. I only need it for a half hour or so, so the material doesn''t matter...

LOLOL! I just realized those are your legs (which you said they were). I thought they were CURTAINS!!! HAHA!!!

ETA, I think Amelia has that toy behind you as well. Is that the thing that blows air and makes the balls go round and round?

snlee
Sounds like 4 months growth spurt. How is D today?

Tacori
How nice that u got a new Macbook.
Poop corner - our nephews totally had a poop corner when MIL was babysitting them. They stood in the gap between the couch and the wall. So funny.

lili
We definitely need a bigger pic of your avi.
I just feel like I am hogging the thread when I post lots of pics. =P

puffy
Aww poor Brady with all these teeth breaking through.

Jas12
Sorry about AF, but at least you got it after 9 months. I got mines back already this past month. =(

Burk
Funny about DH locking Tayva up til she''s 30.

Jas
The boys are adorable. So much personalities already.

curly
Hehe. I was guessing based on M''s weight and height. Lucy is a little bigger than M at that age.
It must be amazing to see Lily and Lucy interact.

L2L
Parker has such a mature face. Congratulations!!!

jen
You must be busy. Great to hear from you.

Stats from Meena''s 6 months well visit today:
weight - 18lbs 11oz (92 percentile)
height - 26.75" (91 percentile)
head circ. - 16.75" (50 percentile)

Pedi said she is a big girl. hehe. She took her shots pretty well. She only cried when the needles were poked, and then she was ok afterward. No sleepiness or fussiness.

We also got her the Fisher Price Rain Forest Jumperoo today, and she loved it and so did her 3 and 4 yrs old cousins. They played on the outside along with her. So funny.

jen, hi! Good to see you. Love your new avatar! I'd love to see some pictures of your girls! I'm sure they have grown a lot! Sorry, I can't help about your milk but hope you find out...maybe call La Leche League for advice?

Tacori, poop corner, that's so funny! I love my derek ring and am enjoying it very much. Someone IRL complimented me on it today, which was nice. I hope you are enjoying your tessa ring! Btw, I'm not going to get the engraving fixed after all.

puffy, I hope B's molars come in quickly! Can't wait to see your organized closet. Have the closet people rescheduled yet? That's funny B always poops during lunchtime. D is still pooping many times a day but he ALWAYS has a big one in the morning!

lili, J is so cute, snots and all! Very pretty! The pictures of J eating her red envelope and the "little boy" picture with braid made me LOL!

lili and puffy, what do you use to bathe your babies? D has some eczema all over his body. Our pedi says Johnson & Johnson is bad because it's alkaline based and recommended Cetaphil Cleanser or Aveeno Baby Wash. We have switched to Cetaphil. Hopefully it'll get better.

lili
Awww J is so adorable. I love the Korean dress. So girly.
Your nephew outfit on J is too cute with the braid.

QT, M is so big! Sound like she is doing well! Can't believe she's 6 months already!

puffy and QT, D seems better today. Thanks for asking. He's still a little fussy and he seems very impatient while nursing, like he's not getting milk fast enough! I think the impatientness is a little bit of his personality too. He starts whining if I don't switch sides fast enough. I've stopped burping him in between feedings because he's so impatient! He never burps, just whines and kicks his legs!
