Tacori, that is funny about the poop corner
5.gif
Hey, would that make it easier to potty train her since you know what she''s up to when she''s heading that way
9.gif
.

puffy, thanks. Anyway, she''s not walking yet
5.gif
She regressed a bit -- went back to crawling and didn''t even bother trying to take a step the last couple of days.

TGal, it is that air blowing toy. I love the music it plays. J wiggles her body every time it starts and she loves putting her fingers in the alligator''s mouth
5.gif

QT, hehe then I must be plugging up the thread with J''s pictures
41.gif
You hardly post any of M I think. So post away! Wow, she''s another big girl! Too funny about your SIL taking her away from the kitchen when you guys eat. I think I know where she''s coming from. Asians don''t like it when the babies or kids look at people eating.....saying that it makes them look like they are starving or teach them to be a glutton.
38.gif

snlee, thanks. DH didn''t like the "little boy" pic at all
41.gif
He hates it when I make J look like a boy, especially when I side part her hair after she bathe. Speaking of bathe, sorry to hear about D''s ezcema. We used the Eucerin body wash. I don''t really think it helped all that much. What cleared up the patches on her body was the Vaseline petroleum jelly. I took LIA''s advice and just slather her with the jelly after we pat dried her. We saw improvements in 2 days. Her arms and legs are still patchy because they are exposed to the daycare carpet everyday. Plus we don''t grease her legs as much since she''s bare legged when she sleeps.

LOLOL! I just realized those are your legs (which you said they were). I thought they were CURTAINS!!! HAHA!!!

Yea, she just loves doing that.
I''m a shortie, so I had to tiptoe when she does it else my crotch will be sitting right on top of her head
because she likes sticking her head through between my legs when we walk.

lili i just have to say AGAIN, that J is such a doll!!! so pretty she is and what a funny girl! i really love the shape of her eyes, is that weird?

snlee good to hear that D is doing better. we use aveeno baby to bathe B..the dark blue top one, not the light blue, and we follow with the aveeno baby lotion, also the dark blue bottle top. when it gets bad, i also use petroleum jelly, but it hasn''t been too bad lately, knock on wood. i hope D''s eczema clears up soon. and you probably know, but don''t bathe too often and for too long, and avoid things with fragrance. i''m sure you knew all that already.
the closet people rescheduled me for the 12th, which is fine since that gives me a few weeks to get things out of there and organized.

qt M is a big girl! that jumperoo is always a hit! glad she likes it. i know you said you gave up on CIO, is she sleeping better?

mrss~Is Jake feeling any better? Was it just a bug? Did anyone else get it?

puffy~I''m so impressed that B is using the spoon well enough to feed you!! I have to help guide T with the spoon or it would be ugly!
3.gif
Any progress getting organized for the closet people to come? When are they coming back? Good luck!

janine~like the others said, if your doctor isn''t concerned, try not to worry. Big baby does not necessarily mean healthy baby or a baby that will hit milestones early. Tayva''s pedi GI doc was all concerned about how skinny she is (40 percentile for weight and off the charts for height) and I still am not letting myself get all worked up. My DH and I are both tall and thin and so I think genetically she''s probably always going to be skinny. What can ya do? All babies are different and it sounds like Chloe is doing great! Speaking of, I think we need a new pic!
2.gif

Hi Jen! Love the avi! Glad you popped in....sorry I wasn''t around to help you out!

Curly~I think Tayva would probably eat pizza for every meal if I let her too! She is also random about what she likes...and what she doesn''t like for that matter. She loves pizza but will not eat just plain cheese!
20.gif

Tacori~No poop corner, but she does squat when pooping!! Weird. I guess she''s just preparing herself for sitting on the toilet?!!?!
9.gif

lili~THose pics are absolutely fabulous!
30.gif
I can''t pic a favorite...they''re all so darn cute. You can just see he feisty personality!

QT~T also had the rainforest jumperoo and LOVED it. YOu''ll get lots of miles out of that thing! Sounds like M is doing great and handled her shots like a champ!

In Tayva news, she has 4 new teeth!! Poor girl had a rough week with the flu, ear infection and then 4 teeth but I''m glad she got some top teeth finally! Seems to be doing better now that they broke through.

HI Mommies!

Janine - This is so true! James is a big baby and he''s just "normal" for milestones. If your pedi was worried I''m sure he/she would say something to you. If you are really worried though you could always take her in for a second look.

Burk - Did Tayva get those teeth in overnight? James has been working on his ONE tooth for like two months! I really wish it would come in already because it''s making him sooo cranky.

Lili - Those pics are sooo cute! I like the "boy" one
2.gif
Don''t feel bad about clogging the thread with pics of her - I''ve done it a few times myself!

Q - We just got James a jumper too and he loves it.

Snlee - We just Cetaphil lotion for baby and for us and I think it works great. We use Johnson''s cleansers though for James.

We are getting ready for our non-superbowl party tomorrow. We don''t do sports at all in our house so we are inviting a few people over for some food and movies.

Only have one hand free, but all these babes are so darn CUTE!!!
9.gif

lili, the pics are just adorable as usual. J is so pretty!

qt-glad meena handled the shots well. her new toy sounds fun.

snlee- I use aquaphor healing ointment by Eurcerin on his super dry spots. my dr. did say to not use the heavy duty lotions for too long at a time on the same spot because it can actually thin out the skin or something. the aquaphor seems to do a pretty good job. jake''s got eczema pretty badly too and we''ve got hard water here and no softener which doesn''t help. add the dry cold weather and it''s rough on all our skin. i have to lotion up my girls with lubriderm too.

burk- jake is doing better but still not 100%. probably didn''t help that we went to my in-laws and took the kids rollerskating today so he didn''t get either one of his naps at home in his bed
4.gif
. I think he''s got 2 more teeth getting ready to come in too which just adds to his overall not feeling his best. Thanks for asking. That is such great news about Tayva''s 4 teeth. Hopefully she''ll be feeling better now that they have broken though!!

JAS, Lili, and Loves2Laugh, awwww your babies are soooo adorable!!!
So many adorable baby''s here
35.gif

Hi Ladies- hope everyone is having a great weekend and you all enjoy the superbowl! We are going to my friends for a party today(very small one) so that should be nice.
Tyler really seemed to be responding to the increased dose of zantac and just when I called my mom to reassure her on Friday(she has been so worried about the little guy), friday night went downhill. He was up screaming all night and having green mucus stools. I am definitley giving up dairy to try it out now. Wow is it hard to listen to him scream. so sad and very frustrating. Saturday was an improvement in that he did not scream nearly as much. But for some reason he was WIDE awake all the way up until 2 am from the early evening(well one little nap). We took him out in the car (fri and sat night) and on Sat he was still wide awake as we drove around and around. We finally went home and my dh put him on the dryer again and that worked for about an hour. Sorry this is turing into a vent. Right now he is asleep with my dh so that is good I guess. Ok got that off my chest, thanks.

Lili your pics are so cute from CNY-

l2l congrats! parker is adorable

snlee is D feeling better? I hope so.

QT wow M sounds like she did so great at the pedi. yay!

Burk- omg Tavya had a lot going on this week. Hopefully she will keep improving with those teeth through. I really feel for what you went through with Tavya''s allergies/reflux. It is harder than I could have imagined.

Diva I hope you enjoy your non-superbowl party. I am not into sports either. My bestie is also celebrating her son''s bday so it should be good.

Hi Neatfreak, your boys are so cute! HOw are you?

Mrs. S. thanks for the diaper info- I guess I need to suck it up,haha. Actually though my dh got the size 1 swaddlers and they fit!!!! He doesn''t fill the diaper nearly as fast so I can change it less frequently which I hope is ok for his skin. so far so good. I hope Jake is feeling better. I can''t imagine trying to get my kids everywhere they need to go if I ever have more than one. You sound like a pro. I hope that I can have a flexible baby and get out even though he will need to nap, if that makes sense. I know its'' important to keep him on a schedule at some point but I don''t want to be chained to the house, ya know?

ok I think tyler is awake. HOpe you are all well. sorry to miss some of you.

Just popping in to say hang in there Pave! I cannot recommend taking an "off" shift enough to you if you haven''t already. Let DH take the little guy for a few hours and go to sleep. If you haven''t done this already it really will make you feel so much better. Hope Tyler has a better night tonight!

Anyone have preferences for diaper creme? Poor Max just keeps getting little diaper rashes no matter what we do or how often we change him. We''ve been giving him a butt wash in the sink in between changes which helps too, but any of the cremes better than others? DH has a whole collection of them already, but none seem to really be doing a good job.

Jen, hope you are doing well. We need a new picture of the girls!

Curly, so funny! I would love it if my girl loved Indian food.

Lili, J is so adorable! Her hair is SOOO long. I love the pig tails.

puffy, at least he is consistent!

Q, funny how kids go in the corner to poop. Wonder why? Guess it is private.

snlee, no one has EVER complimented my Tessa ring IRL (unless it was a friend I showed)
7.gif
Oh well I still LOVE it! Tessa had ezcema around 4-5 months. I was worried but my dad said it was fine and to leave it alone. Sure enough it went away on its own and she never gets patches anymore. I guess it is common so don''t worry.

Burk, how funny she squats! Congrats on 4 new teeth! Is she up to 6 now? Hope she is feeling better.

Diva, hope J''s tooth breaks through. We have been fairly lucky so far and all of her''s have broken through very quickly.

NF,
35.gif
Hope the boys are being nice to their mama!

MrsS, hope Jake feels better!!!

Pave, have you tried white noise? Saved our sanity for sure! Sorry you are having a rough time. My girl was NOT a sleeper the first 6 months so I feel ya pain. I promise it WILL get better.

Thank-You for all the compliments on my little man!
16.gif
He has both DH and I wrapped already! He was 7lbs 14oz-21inches long when he was born and is just over 8lbs now. That picture is a little misleading. A few of my friends have seen it and have also said how grown up he looks when actually he really is just a peanut.

Do any of you ladies have any suggestions for blocked tear ducts? It just breaks my heart how goopy his eyes get and we''ve been massaging the corners of his eyes and wiping them with a warm wash cloth but I feel like there could be something more we could be doing. Poor guy, when he wakes up he can hardly open his eyes. We have our next Ped appt in 5 weeks, I figured I''d wait until then to ask about it if it''s still bad.

Sorry... had to post one more to show that he really is a little guy
9.gif

Bouncy2-1-26sm.JPG

hi Neat and Tacori! thanks for the support. Tacori, we use white noise but i think we need to get on it sooner. also I am thinking of trying an evening bath cause I heard that helps? I''m so tired by evening but we could try it. ONe night we bathed him this week and he was so relaxed and went right to sleep. I hope tyler starts sleeping before 6 months, at least in a little longer spurts. I really don''t do well when he is up hours upon hours.
Neat- yeah at first we were splitting the night- 4 hours solid of sleep. I do much better that way. My dh wants us to get where we are going b/c he is going back to work in 2 weeks, so he wants him upstairs and us in the same room. It doens''t make sense to me right now b/c I feel so much better when I get a little sleep. Oh well. I guess it takes a while to get a system down, huh? it''s hard when you don''t agree with your spouse and we are both pretty stressed out, especially in the middle of the night. Last night I was ready to trade tyler in(I know this is a terrible thing to say, but i felt it at the time). dh gets stressed too but different then me. thankfully in the morning, things seem to be better and it''s a new day!

L2L, take a warm wash cloth and *gently* massage it.

Pave, I can''t remember are you BFing? Also are you putting the white noise LOUD enough? Seriously crank it up.

Thanks for the responses about the paint and breastmilk -- i couldn't find out much more, so i just did the pump-and-dump thing once and let them nurse after that. Hopefully that cleared out anything majorly contaminated... i painted again yesterday and did much better ventilating and barely smelled anything while i painted, but i pumped-and-dumped again just to be on the safe side. I have one and a half walls left, but that's going to have to wait until later in the week. So while i have a minute I'm going to try to catch up a bit!

Lili -- the pics are so adorable and fun! I LOVE the Korean dress and she is just too cute in it!

Tacori -- thanks :)I'll try to get a new pic up... Tessa's just as gorgeous as ever!

Burk -- oh I feel so sorry for Tayva -- sounds like she's had it rough lately
7.gif
I hope she's feeling better now!

QT -- wow, Meena's a big girl :) Marina's big too,so I'm glad she's got company :) How cute that the other kids enjoyed the jumperoo toys.

Snlee -- how funny about D being impatient -- the girls are just like that! I haven't purposely burped them in ages and of course they don't switch sides, but when they lay down on the twin-nurser they get really excited and Sophie even coughs a bit in anticipation :) I hope you find a solution for d's eczema...

Diva -- have a fun party today!

NF -- hey girl! How are those precious boys doing? I hope twin-life is treating you well! I haven't had diaper rash issues with the girls, but petroleum jelly worked best for my boys...and powder too, but that seems to be against the rules nowadays...

Pave -- poor Tyler and poor you! I hope he feels better soon... maybe the dairy will be the answer...?

L2L -- he's a doll :) CONGRATULATIONS!

Curly -- yay for another big girl around here! :) When does Lily turn 2? Time flies...

Jas -- i love the boys' pics! I noticed that we both seem to have simlarities in our twins -- Marina is more like Logan in the face and Sophie's got the rounder face like Jackson :) Hope you are holding up!

MrsS -- my boys eat differently too -- my oldest 2 are picky like their dad (i thought that would change when they didn't spend as much time with him, but nope) and my 6 year old tried escargot the other day -- weird. i totally agree with you about the baby food though! How's jake feeling now?

Janine -- hi! I think if the pedi says she's fine, i'd trust that. She seems to be eating fine. My friend Robin had a boy who was on the *really* small side and her pedi got really worried and ran bunched of tests on him for like a year -- he was fine, still is totally healthy and still is today -- just not a super big kid. FWIW! ps yay for 7 hours of sleep at night :)

So I still have time to update on us, how strange :) My DH started his new job last week. It's less than ideal as he's working a lot of late nights, it pays less and he's not getting full-time hours, but I am grateful that he has a job at least. I don't even remember if i told you guys he'd lost his job or not! Anyway, it's not been the easiest month. I started back to work and all is pretty normal. It was hard leaving the girls in the early morning hours to go to work (esp since DH is asleep when i leave!) but we've all adjusted. I'm still breastfeeding, but I find it hard to make regular time to pump, so the girls usually get a bottle of formula when i'm at the rink. They don't seem to mind
2.gif

They are both big, but Marina's bigger -- i'm looking forward to their next appt so they can get weighed. Marina was 12 lbs and 14 oz at 2.5 mos (95th%) and Sophie was 11 lbs 6 oz (75th%). They are both pretty easy babies overall, thank goodness. I'm loving the new giggles that come out of them daily :)

As far as other family news, my "baby" boy had his 6 yr old birthday party 2 weekends ago and it was crazy, but fun to watch him feel like such a big kid. He went to his first sleepover last night. My oldest turns 11 this Wednesday, which is SO hard to believe. My 8 year old has a new girlfriend -- he's gonna be trouble as a teen! And my St Bernard, Dante, got put down last week...it was sad, but he was 7 and that's kind of old for a St. My oldest son was most affected by it since he's been a major part of his life. Anyway, sorry for the novel and for not being around much! Gotta run -- I'll sneak back later and post a new pic or two of the girls
9.gif

jen

iluv~Thank you!

diva~no, she didn''t get the teeth overnight. I wish!! They''ve been up and down quite a few times over the past few months then her gums got super swollen and she was pretty crabby for a few days before the first one popped through. Teething is no fun. Hope James tooth comes through soon!

mrss~Glad Jake is better. Teething doesn''t help one bit, either. When it rains, it poors! Hope they come through quick!

pave~Tayva did have a rough week....but she really seems to be back to her "old self" today!
21.gif
I am so sorry Tyler had a bad night last night. I do think that cutting out your dairy is a good idea. In the mean time, have you tried doing the alimentum? I can''t lie and tell you it''ll happen over night, because for us it was a long road, but I think you are on the right track and he will feel better and you will feel better because of that!! Hang in there!

Tacori~The squatting makes me laugh pretty much every time she does it. She''s up to 6 teeth now. I had hoped that since she was so far behind she might get a few at once. She was pretty crabby for a few days because of it but seems to be back to "normal" again.

L2L~I just love his cheeks!! Soooo cute!

Jen~Sounds like you''ve had a crazy month! Glad your Dh found another job! Can''t wait to see some new pics of the girls! I bet they''re so big.

I have a ton of laundry and housework to do before we head over to the IL''s for the superbowl so I better get to it
7.gif
Happy Sunday ladies!

lili
Well I m posting more pics today, so I''ll be plugging for the day. hehe.
Funny your DH doesn''t like it when J looks like a boy. DH always let people know M is a girl when strangers make comments like "what a big boy he is" or "he is such a cute boy". I think it''s funny b/c I don''t tell people, and it doesn''t bother me.

snlee
I didn''t know that about J&J head-to-toe body wash. I am going to stop using it then because M is getting really bad eczema around her month from the drools. I''ve been slather on the vaseline, but it''s not really helping much b/c of massive amount of drools daily. Hope D''s eczema ease up with the new body wash and vaseline.

puffy
Yeah I gave up on CIO b/c it broke my heart to hear her cry. Now I am waiting a little longer until she is really drowsy before putting her down when she is drowsy but awake. And she is able to fall asleep by herself much better than when she was CIO.

Burk
Wow Tayva had a rough week. All 4 teeth at once. She is a tough cookie. Glad she is better now.
I hope we do get lots of miles out of the jumperoo. =)

Diva
Hope you have a time at your non-superbowl party today. We have a combo superbowl/CNY party at DH''s grandma''s house today. Not looking forward to it.

MrsS
Hope Jake feel 100% soon.

Pave
Sorry about your rough nights. Hope you figure out what will help Tyler''s reflux and breastfeeding. Hang it there. It''ll get better.

NF
No recommendations on diaper cream b/c I couldn''t find one that works well for M. Have you been letting Max air out sans diaper? That''s the best way to get rid of diaper rash according to our pedi. It helped a lot when M was a newborn and had her horrible diaper rash that lasted months.

Tacori
Yeah maybe poop corner is semi-private or maybe they feel comfortable/relaxed in that spot. Don''t know, but it''s the funniest/cutest thing.

L2L
Parker is a tall little guy. He is so cute snuggling in his bouncer.

Jen
Wow you had a crazy month. Glad all is going well.
Marina is a big girl too.
Your "baby" boy is not much of a baby any more, huh? They grow up so fast.
Can''t wait for the new pics.

Nothing new with us. Just a few pics of M.

M in her peach blossom outfit that I was talking about before.

m_peachblossom_outfit.jpg

In her jumperoo... looks at her thunder thighs. hehe.

Really quickly, more later...

That''s pretty much all you can do. Amelia had a horrible case of it for what seemed like weeks! I just kept washing and massaging gently and poof, one day it just went away. I can almost guarantee you that by the time he has his next ped appt, it will not be an issue.
1.gif

snlee how is D''s eczema? hope it''s getting better. you can use as much lotion or cream as you want as lon as it is helping. just make sure that his skin is never dry, but i think it''s the steroid stuff you want to be careful with and not use as much.

burk WOW!!! 4 teeth! poor girl, but glad she is better. hope you guys have fun at your ILS place. we are hosting a party as well so i had to shove everything that i had cleaned up and organized back into the closet! all that work for nothing...only to start from square 1 again tomorrow. they come back on the 12th and i am praying that i have the closet cleaned out and ready for them to work their magic. don''t get me wrong, when B feeds himself or me it is kinda messy, but MOST of the food gets into either his mouth or mine.

tacori haha, yes he is consistent, but it SUCKS when we go out to eat lunch with friends. it''s happened so much already that friends will ask "brady, are you going to poop today?" haha.

qt glad to hear that M is doing better with sleep. she is so adorable! oh, and i''m not sure if you have tried. but the area around her mouth is it eczema or drool rash? B had really bad drool rash cause his skin was already so sensitive from the eczema. anyways, it was red all around his mouth and the only thing that worked to help clear it up was aveeno baby diaper rash cream...go figure! i used to use it during the day and a really think coating before he goes to bed and it healed in no time.

pave i know it''s hard....we all know it''s hard. just hang in there and it will get better for sure! it''s hard especially with his reflux. poor kid and poor mama. he is still so young that you need to do what is best for you right now, so maybe you can talk to your DH about giving you a longer stretch of sleep or you guys can take turns?

hope everyone is doing well!

Jen, sorry to hear about your DH''s job. Hope he gets more hours soon. Can''t wait to see the girls!

Burk, Tessa only has 8 teeth (she is almost 15 months) so she is behind too. She fell today and her mouth was SOOO bloody. We were both upset but luckily all her teeth were intact!

Q, who would think they would learn modesty so young? M is SOOO darling. Love the new pics!

Puffy, that is funny. At least you CAN eat out with him! Tessa is only sometimes decent and it has to be a quick meal. Is Brady reading yet? Haha.

So we just came home (early) from a super bowl party. She had a Steelers onesie that DH bought a long time ago so it worked out well. She even cheered and did her touchdown, arms in the air thing. Plus she is so amazed by all the new and unfamiliar toys. She also tried to steal a little boy''s cake. He handled it AMAZING well. I think he was in shocked. Haha. She is such a turkey.

I think it is so funny b/c she is still a shortie and though it doesn''t happen NEARLY as often as it used too strangers are still in awe by how well she walks. Haha. I was out to eat with my MIL and this couple came up to me to ask how old she was and tell me how cute she is. Of course *that* part NEVER gets old
2.gif

QT~M looks like she's having a great time in her jumperoo! So cute! CIO is so hard! I "tried" and gave up at around 5 months and then at 7 months when we tried again she didn't cry and just cuddled up and went to sleep when I put her down so it was an easy transition. Now there are days when she'll fuss some but rarely is it as painful as it was the first couple times.

puffy~Hope your party is fun! Good thing the closet people aren't coming for a couple weeks so you have time to get organized! Look at the bright side, you may find some clothes or shoes you forgot you had!
2.gif
9.gif

Tacori~Poor Tessa! Glad she's okay(and all her teeth are still in her mouth)! Tayva fell into the lego table at daycare the other day and bashed her eye. It is black and blue now and looks horrible. I'm so glad I wasn't there when it happened. I would have been a wreck! The teachers at her daycare are so sweet. They called right after it happened to tell me how sorry they were. Not there fault my kid only works in super speed. I'm sure Tessa was a hit with her touchdown dance at the party! And funny that people are impressed with her walking skills since she is short. Tayva's just the opposite. I'm sure people were wondering why the heck she wasn't walking months ago since she's so tall.
41.gif

We also came home from the super bowl party early. Tayva has had a long week and I just couldn't justify keeping her out late to watch the game. She was so tired she just turned around the second her nebulizer treatment was over and laid on my should and was asleep before I could even get out of the chair!! So, I milked it and held my sleeping baby for a while!

Hello everyone! I am a super-long-time-lurker with an almost 9 month old little son. All the babies are so incredibly cute, and I hope to post here more, when I''m not chasing after my little guy.

Pavelover - you have lured me out of lurkdom.

I''ve been particularly following your situation, as our little boy had to stay in the hospital for 3 weeks before we were able to take him home as he was born prematurely. Your situation with Tyler is certainly very, very different, but our little L also had to take his feedings through intubation for his first several weeks. L also had similar issues that seemed to be related to food allergies (and I''ve been there with the no soy/milk/egg diet for three weeks - not a fun time). Dairy and soy are particularly difficult as they''re in so many processed foods - for example, random things like generic supermarket baguettes often are produced with milk, and soy is in about everything else with flavor. But on the upside - plain salted potato chips and mangos are free and clear!

Ultimately, for L, his stomach issues were not allergy or reflux related, but something that he ended up growing out of at around 4 months (although his stools were bizarrely mucus filled and essentially liquid until he started solid food at 6 months). I hope cutting out milk will help as it''s just so insanely hard for everyone when your baby is crying when you''re trying to feed him.

As for late night crying -- a tip that saved our lives was using a hair dryer. We''d put the dryer on the lowest heat setting and then - very carefully! - we''d blow dry around the baby''s belly. The combination of white noise and warmth was a winner. We''d then also blow dry the crib and his swaddler, so that the entire area would be gently warm before he was placed in the crib. It''s fast, it''s easy - and when you''re insanely tired, it''s worth a shot!

Now I''ve gotta run and feed the baby. Greetings again to everyone, and cheers!

Linden, welcome to the mommies thread. so glad you came out of lurkdom.

neat: re: the diaper rash. check with your pedi but after Jake was on his antibiotic he got a diaper rash I could not get rid of. i tried everything, even naked naptime for air. One day I was taking to my sister who''s daughter had a diaper rash she couldn''t get rid of either. my sister had just taken her to her pedi and they told her to use the generic brand of Lotrimin. It cleared up her daughter''s rash in just a couple of days. It then dawned on me the Lily had a stubborn diaper rash at one point and the pedi told me the same thing. If the diaper rash as any yeast in it, the regular creams won''t clear it up. Lily''s had the yeast and so did my sister''s girl. i just went ahead and tried it on Jake and it cleared his up right away. they say to use it for a few days after the rash has cleared b/c it can be stubborn and come back. anyway, just another idea to throw out that might work for you.

tacori and burk- the superbowl parties sound fun. we stayed home this year.

Jake is doing better, the teeth still haven''t broke through though. my 6 year old caught jake''s tummy bug and was sick yesterday and I decided to keep her home from school today.

Thanks everyone for comments on Chloe''s weight. I would never force feed her--and even if I wanted to, she wouldn''t take it! I did switch nipples to "medium" flow--maybe that will help. She''s still is not used to them (she chokes a bit here and there) so I''m easing it in.

Snlee: Chloe has dry skin issues as well. She has very red cheeks which are rough to the touch. I also spotted a rough spot on her back--I hadn''t noticed it earlier since I don''t look at her upper back often. I''ve asked the doctor about her cheeks numerous times, but he seems to think it''s just normal dry skin due to the weather, but the bright redness does worry me. However, I''ve been putting aquaphor on it nightly and sometimes in the AM. Same with the back. It helps, but doesn''t get rid of it. I notice she squirms alot when on her back, so I wonder if it''s the dry skin. She also has cradle cap (poor thing!). I''ve been using J&J head to toe from Day 1, so now you are making me re-think that. I''m going to switch to Aveeno for dry skin (I think it''s a pink cap) and see how it goes. Keep me posted!

hi again,

sorry for a selfish post (again!), but wondering if anyone can suggest a Maclaren stroller. We have the bugaboo, but it''s not practical for the ''burbs. Now that Chloe is getting older, I''d like to pick up a lighter weight stroller that''s easy to get in and out of the car. My mother is taking care of her during the days, so I''m trying to make sure she has something easy to use so she isn''t avoiding going out. I''ve looked at the Volvo, Quest and Triumph. Not wanting to spend a fortune, but I guess things I''d need are:

*suitable for use at 4 months +
*lightweight and ease of opening/closing/storage
*comfort/safety for child

Thanks girls.

PS Forgot to mention that qtiekiki and lili''s photos are just priceless. Happy New Year!

Janine you should also check out the Baby Jogger City Mini... it is a lot like the Maclaren in terms of being a lightweight stroller, a good price, and weighs nothing! Folds and unfolds with one hand. I am very very happy with ours (though haven''t tested it with baby yet) but it is well made, sturdy, and can be steered one-handed. This is it here: http://babyjogger.com/cityminisingle.htm and here is a review showing it in action: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=8ksK4NXnEsk Costs around $250 depending where you get it. We got green.

Janine, we love our Volo. It doesn't recline but I think it is a great umbrella. We paid around $100 for it. PERFECT for trael b/c it folds up super small and is really light.

ETA: I have seen them for as low as $80.
