Neat thanks for your support- I have been taking breaks and my dh splits the nights with me, which is a godsend. Yesterday I went to get a mani/pedi while my husband took Tyler to Ikea- he said it went well. It was nice to be out for a while. I felt good but also felt like I should "miss" the baby more... Hope the boys are well- did you have to get their shots yet? I think I already asked you this, but I can''t remember...

Tacori thanks so much for the tips- I tried the white noise louder and it seems to be helping- I am pumping and trying to breast feed. tyler had a tight frenulum(tongue tied) in addition to starting late and having reflux. I feel like the cards are stacked against me to get it going, but I will keep trying. Today I told myself I would really work on it. The l.c. said to relax about it and use the bottles. She wanted me to enjoy the baby since he hasn''t been home too long. He does way better with the bottles of course. She recommends trying only during the day when I have energy and am calm. haha. no seriously, the days are wayyyy easier than the middle of the night.
Tessa sounds like she had loads of fun at the superbowl party. That''s funny that she stole that little boys cake. I hope she gets to like the gym care better. I love zumba. I only went once but it was great fun.

Jen nice to see you. the girls sound like they are doing great. Sorry to hear that your dh is having job problems. This economy is terrible. My dh was laid off(early separation) but so far we are extemely fortunate and he has a new job already. It is a huge relief. I hope things are smooth as you guys transition back to work.

Burk glad Tavya is on the upswing and feeling better. We did not try alimentum. I have cut out the dairy and knock wood, no repeats of fri night yet. The does of zantac was increased again. Leaving the dairy was easier than I thought. Hope that helps and it seems like it is.

QT M looks adorable in her peach blossom outfit- she''s getting so big! thanks for the support! I appreciate it. Moms really get it, huh?

Puffy thats so cute how excited B is about planes. I like that toddler age and the enthusiasm that comes with it. Thanks for your ideas- we are splitting the nights. My dh is returning to work feb17 so then I will take on more of the nights. I''m sure he won''t leave me high and dry but I''m gonna try to mostly do it so he can get some rest. I am sure he will be a bit stressed starting a new job. fingers crossed the baby sleeps a *little* more by then. Right now he is doing great I think- o/v eating about each 2-3 hours and sleeping!!!!! inbetween. hooray.

Linden that was so sweet of you to post for me- sorry I didn''t have time to get back to you sooner. we were out alot yesterday. I love your ideas bout the hair dryer. I am gonna try that. And I love potato chips- so that''s good, and mango for that matter, lol. I have noticed some carbs are the easiest things to eat and I have been enjoying some cheetos that my dh bought. The dairy thing isn''t as bad as I thought. I am just gonna eat eggs for now for protein and see how it goes.
So your l.o. outgrew the tummy problem? that is great news. did it ever have a name? How is the baby otherwise? I hope well and healthy. The hospital experience is not fun but we do feel blessed that Tyler did so well and so many talented caring ppl were there to help him.
Right now, we are using white noise, another noise machine with nature sounds, and the bouncer. It is working pretty well...(holds breath and knocks wood). Went to the pedi yesterday and he is gaining great 8 lb 11 oz- everything else looks good.
Linden if this isnt too nosy- I have some anxiety in general and have taken ssri for depression in the past. They really helped my feelings of anxiety in the past. I have nto taken them for quite a while and I am really missing htem now. Since Tyler was in the hospital, it''s like I''m extra anxious- Yesterday I thought his lips were pale and he was having some respiratory distress(I am a nurse so I should really know things are ok- but my mind just gets going and yikes!) My pedi is sooooo patient( I work in the office too) and he is so good with me. He told me it''s normal what I am going through because we had a rough start. Did you experience feelings like this? He reassures me that my guy is "healthy" and I can treat him as a "normal" kid but it''s hard not to worry-I''ll get there eventually I guess.

MrsS sorry your daughter is sick now too. that''s no fun. good news that jake is feeling better though. I totally agree with the yeast thing- we give advice at the office that if a rash doesn''t improve after three days of no wipes, more air, more balm, and if its red and bumpy or broken skin, you should try lotrimin-

Janine Hi- glad Chloe is doing well. I don''t have any mommy advice regarding weight- Tyler doesn''t eat the amount other babies his age *should*- I try not to worry but it''s hard not to compare what''s going on with others/and charts, etc.
oh and I have the volo based on Tacoris rec from before- havne''t used it yet but it looks cute...hahah that is how I like to buy stuff. actually come to think of it- I think I just buy what tacori buys- I am waiting to buy the boon high chair soon.

Tgal wow amelia is 10 months! that''s crazy. waiting for pics. hope you all are well.

Snlee I hope you had a great time on your date!! I want to see wicked so bad. Towards the end of my pregnancy I kept seeing the commercials and was like oh I want to go- not great timing since we don''t really have a sitter. Maybe next time it comes through. Hope d is feeling better too.

Softly Sorry to hear the school thing is stressing you out. I am sure so many mommies experience this. I hope it goes smoothly for you. Even if it doesn''t at first, these little guys get used to new things quickly I think. Hang in there.

lili thanks for the good words. How is J doing? what is new with you?

Jas I hope you feel better soon. I hate being sick. I know you have to feel ok about the medicine but many pain relievers are ok to take- just check with your dr(Im'' sure you already know this- at the pedis office we have a great book that lists all the drugs and if they are safe for breastfeeding.

I''m still around, Jas - thanks for thinking of me, it''s nice to know I haven''t been forgotten even though I never post anymore!

Life is a little insane with two toddlers so though I still like to check in, it''s kind of hard to post much. And then when I''ve got the time, I feel SO behind here that I feel too overwhelmed to try to catch up. But I definitely still log on to check out pics of all the cuties here and to see what''s going on with my favorite mommas and babies.

lili, I showed Q the recent photos of Jadie and prefaced them with, "This is the little girl that Gabe is going to marry ... " Oh that girlie!! I just could eat her up!

Will try to write more later!

Hi Ella!! Glad to see you''re still around! How are your two big kids doing?

Pave~Glad cutting out the dairy has shown noticeable improvement!! I thought that the no dairy wasn''t so bad at all...now when I had to do soy, wheat and pretty much everything else...that was pure misery! There are some websites out there that can help you with choosing meals when going out to eat and give other great ideas for cooking at home. Hope Tyler continues to improve and grows out of it!

Forgot to mention that T has continued to vomit and having runny diapers every day since getting the stomach virus so her pedi GI doc has recommended we stop the whole milk and go back to formula.
7.gif
Two steps forward and three back it feels like. She finally seemed to like it and was drinking it well but her belly just couldn''t tollerate that much dairy protein yet. She can still do yogurt and other things with dairy just not the milk.

linden thanks! we would love to see pictures of your little guy when you get a chance. B is really into tree leaves also, but he pulls them off the trees. haha. we have a few trees in the front yard, and he pulls the leaves right off the trees when ever we bring him out there to play. by the way, B slept with the plane again last night. he wanted to take it into the bath with him, but i wouldn''t let him, and he freaked out! then after bath time, he went straight for his plane then i put him to bed. weird kid!!

burk poor T!!! hopefully she''ll remember that she liked the milk when you can go back to it. haha, i sometimes wish B was still all about jibberish! he is a non-stop yapping machine. i swear the only time he doesn''t talk non-stop is when he is sleeping. it''s kinda funny, but my goodness, sometimes, i just don''t know what else to say to him. and when i try to ignore him when he''s just talking too much, he will get right in my face and start yelling, "mommy, mommy!!"

tacori i can''t believe that your macbook already crashed twice! luckily, i haven''t had to leave B with the child care people cause i KNOW he would freak out. hopefully T will have more fun at the "toddler" room when she is old enough. have a great time at zumba!

pave that''s so great that tyler is sleeping better right now. hopefully he''ll continue the sleeping and eating pattern for when your DH goes back to work, so it''ll be easier for you.

iluv sorry to hear about the CT. i hope everything is ok and that the other tests you need turn out normal.

ella glad to see you are around!!! how are the kiddies? they must be doing so much now and i am sure they are a handfull!!

Linden, thank you! You are so kind. We certainly think she is special.
16.gif
She is full of sass for sure.

MrsS, it has crashed TWO more times! Argg....I think it is a dud.
7.gif
Good thing I have the warranty. I am planning on taking T to the pool once it gets warmer. She is a water baby.

Jas12, hopefully they will like her b/c I am *sure* they are more willing to calm the kids they like
2.gif
Maybe I should warn them of her independent ways. I should just tell them to ignore her. Haha. Poor thing doesn''t have much toys in the "baby room." Now if there was a ball pit she would be set! Sorry you are so sick! I also like the website safefetus.com for seeing which meds are safe.

iluv, hope you are okay!

Burk, I have no idea where she picked up on the marching thing! Maybe from "Jack''s Big Music Show." They did this marching bit awhile back. Otherwise...who knows. She was highly entertained. Hope Tayva''s teeth break through! Teething is rough!

puffy~I sure hope she remembers that she was starting to take to the whole milk after the nonsense she pulled in the beginning!
16.gif
Funny that B doesn''t ever stop talking. jibberish is easy to respond to...I talk about my day and what we''re going to do that night and anything else I want to!
9.gif

Tacori~Funny how kids can pick up the craziest things! I''m sure it''s quite entertaining for you to watch!
2.gif
Have fun at Zumba tonight! I''ve never been but they offer it at the new gym I just joined. My sister and I were going to try it this coming Saturday, but we''re both playing in a volleyball tournament instead.

As usual, more later, but thought I''d pop in to post the 10 month pics. Actually 10 month, 1 day as I forgot to take pics on the actual 10 month day.

This month is a bit special in that the first pics of me in America were taken at around 10 month range. My mom saved the dress, and while it''s a bit tattered, it fit Amelia perfectly. I''m going to choose one of Amelia and frame both pics and give them to my mom. So here''s one that I picked because it''s closer in expression to the one taken of me 35 years ago.

And a couple more cheeky ones.

OMG Tgal, Amelia is adorable in the dress. What a nice gesture for your mom.

Can you ladies help me with solids schedule? Our pedi says start once a day in the afternoon with rice cereal, then we can do oatmeal and some other grain (I forgot), and Wheat last b/c it''s not single grain. We can also start veggies and fruits after. I forgot to ask him if we have to go through all the different grains. Do we need to? And when do we increases the number of solid feedings? I try researching online, but everything says gradually increase up to 3 feedings by 1 yr. So I am hoping I can learn from your experience. M had been doing great with the rice cereal the last couple of days, so I want to introduce something else next week (but have no idea where to go from here).

TIA

Tgal~

LOVE Them all!! That''s so cool that your mom had the dress! Her clip looks great too!!

Question for mommies: What size shoe is your LO wearing? Tayva has been in a size 4 since October! I feel like her feet look so darn small for her tall body. Maybe I''m just over-analyzing, though!
41.gif

Actually, quick question...which one do you think would work better with the old photo of me? The first one I posted, or this one?

Thanks, be back a bit later for catch up!!

AMpic2.jpg

I like the second one if you want them to be similar because both of you have your arms opened up and are not looking at the camera.

Ooooh....Tgal, I think the second one actually resembles the photo of you more. Almost like a mirror image?

QT~Not sure exactly what info you want, but here's what we did.
2.gif
Started with night time feeding (5:00ish) of a veggie first then a mix of oatmeal with a fruit. When it seemed she was doing well with that feeding (chowing it all down without a problem and LOVING it), we added a lunch time feeding (11:30ish) of a veggie then a fruit. This was probably at 6.5 months or so. Then, at around 7 mos or so we added a breakfast of oatmeal mixed with a fruit around 8:30am. Hope that helps.

More later, but just wanna say Amelia is a doll in your old dress.
I vote for the second one as well since it is almost an exact mirror image of you 35 yrs ago!
Her expression, her pose with her legs and arms, the fact that she''s not looking straight at the camera.
Hehe, even her diaper is peeking out like yours

LOL, I noticed hers, but not mine!

Thanks ladies. I''ll be back in a bit after lunch to catch up.

tgal- OMG I lOVE the pics!!! that is so special you''ve got the dress you wore. your mom is going to flip over the picture of the two of you. I like the second one too if you are wanting them to have a similar look.

Tgal--those pics seriously made my day! What a wonderful idea. Before i read your post i scanned the pics and noticed that dress and thought it looks so retro-adorable--can''t believe that it was yours--amazing how some styles are classic . I vote for the 2nd pic as well b/c of the reasons stated and b/c the bear isn''t in it.
Your mom will LUV it !

swimming was fun! Our YMCA has a therapy pool (really warm) and a splash pool with tons of toys and just a few inches of water so it was perfect. Very pooped now so i am going to try to steal a nap with Co....

TGal, love the dress pictures! I vote for #2 as well since it''s very similar to your picture. Your mom is going to LOVE it! How special!

TGal: all the photos are so adorable, but my personal favorite is #2!! It really is priceless that you have those photos and the original dress...

Hey moms, question for you all:

I have been having BH contractions like crazy the last few days... they go away when I rest and don't last long, and they don't hurt, so I think it isn't real labour. But I wondered if any of you found that the BH really picked up in the days/weeks before you went into labour? Just wondering if this may be a sign that things are progressing... FYI: I am past 37 weeks.

tgal what great pics of amelia! she is growing to be such a little lady.

burk heehee, i used to love responding to jibberish! i could talk about anything! now B is only interested in talking about what he wants to talk about and if it''s not interesting to him, he''ll quickly steal the spotlight again and we''ll be back to talking about what he wanted to. crazy kid.

qthmmmm, we started B on rice cereal in the morning. he had rice cereal for a bit then we introduced veggies first. we did veggies in the afternoon incase he had a bad reaction to it or if he couldn''t digest it, it would be before bedtime. then we did fruits in the afternoon, moving veggies for dinner. i don''t think we did all the grains with B. i think we did rice and oatmeal only. when we got B to eating solids for a month or so, he had rice cereal mixed with a little fruit for breakfast, then he would have fruit in the afternoon and a veggie for dinner. i think around 8 months or so, he also got yogurt. don''t know if that helped...

dd i can''t answer your question, as i didn''t have BH contractions, but i wanted to wish you luck! you are almost there!!

any one have experience with disney cruise? we are looking to going at the end of the year for B''s birthday, that''s if i am not preggo, or not more than 7 months preggo. any input would be great...THANKS!!

Tgal - Awwwww......those pics of A are adoreable! She does look a lot like you
1.gif

Jas12 - Swimming sounds like so much fun right now, but it''s freezing here and I''m never going to wear a bathing suit in public ever again
2.gif

Q - We started James first on rice cereal, then applesauce then sweet potatoes. After that we alternated between a fruit and veggie and then introduced oatmeal. Now he gets a fruit + cereal in the morning, a veggie for lunch - with cereal if he''s being a piggy, and then we try to do a veggie for dinner, but sometimes he''s out by then. He loves everything except for green beans - which he''ll eat only under protest.

Dreamer - I had tons of BH''s toward the end of my pregnancy. Sometimes I''d have to stop whatever I was doing and take a few breaths before it would pass. Please call your doc though if you are concerned - like I said in the preggo thread James was born at 36weeks 4days and I wish I had called my doctor about the cramps/contractions and pain I was having. Keep baking that baby just a little longer!
1.gif

dreamer, sorry, I'm no help either since I had contractions starting VERY early in my pregnancy. You are so close! Good luck!

puffy, cruise for B's 2nd birthday sounds fun! I don't have any experience but wanted to share this link with you that I found while researching when we could take our first cruise as a family - Cruising with Babies – Top 5 cruise lines

Tacori - I must have been hard leaving T while you worked out! It does get better. I''ve never known a kindergartener that had to take mommy to school
2.gif
Sorry to hear about your dud of a computer - I''d be putting the warranty to good use.

Linden - Welcome and can''t wait to see some pics
12.gif

Ella - Hi - it''s nice "seeing" you here! Hope the twinks are doing well!

Burk - sorry to hear about T not feeling well. Tis the season around here too. Luckily James is doing good so far with the cold/flu season.

I''ve been pretty busy over here. Our non-superbowl party was a hit and James had a lot of fun playing with different people. He conked out and slept through the night
36.gif

TGAL,

The second one, because you''re making the same face and looking in the same sideways direction (only opposite).

Beautiful babies you and she are/were!!

Quick drive by b/c my first Zumba class *nearly* killed me! TGal, love the pics and vote for #2.

DD, I had horrible BH''s whenever we went to the movies (which was a lot) towards the end. I was induced a week late so it meant nothing for me.

gotta go. T is being a brat. Will catch up later.

Linden--
Welcome and glad you come out of lurkdom.
Love your description of the toothless vampire, LOL....so very true.
Wow, I''m impressed you all caught up with everyone here.
Can''t wait to see pictures of your L
5.gif

And hope you stick around.

Quick drive by to say Hi ella
35.gif
and also, TGal, those photos brought tears to my eyes. I''m sure your mom will be so moved by your gift. I vote for #2 as well.
