Neat thanks for your support- I have been taking breaks and my dh splits the nights with me, which is a godsend. Yesterday I went to get a mani/pedi while my husband took Tyler to Ikea- he said it went well. It was nice to be out for a while. I felt good but also felt like I should "miss" the baby more... Hope the boys are well- did you have to get their shots yet? I think I already asked you this, but I can''t remember...
Tacori thanks so much for the tips- I tried the white noise louder and it seems to be helping- I am pumping and trying to breast feed. tyler had a tight frenulum(tongue tied) in addition to starting late and having reflux. I feel like the cards are stacked against me to get it going, but I will keep trying. Today I told myself I would really work on it. The l.c. said to relax about it and use the bottles. She wanted me to enjoy the baby since he hasn''t been home too long. He does way better with the bottles of course. She recommends trying only during the day when I have energy and am calm. haha. no seriously, the days are wayyyy easier than the middle of the night.
Tessa sounds like she had loads of fun at the superbowl party. That''s funny that she stole that little boys cake. I hope she gets to like the gym care better. I love zumba. I only went once but it was great fun.
Jen nice to see you. the girls sound like they are doing great. Sorry to hear that your dh is having job problems. This economy is terrible. My dh was laid off(early separation) but so far we are extemely fortunate and he has a new job already. It is a huge relief. I hope things are smooth as you guys transition back to work.
Burk glad Tavya is on the upswing and feeling better. We did not try alimentum. I have cut out the dairy and knock wood, no repeats of fri night yet. The does of zantac was increased again. Leaving the dairy was easier than I thought. Hope that helps and it seems like it is.
QT M looks adorable in her peach blossom outfit- she''s getting so big! thanks for the support! I appreciate it. Moms really get it, huh?
Puffy thats so cute how excited B is about planes. I like that toddler age and the enthusiasm that comes with it. Thanks for your ideas- we are splitting the nights. My dh is returning to work feb17 so then I will take on more of the nights. I''m sure he won''t leave me high and dry but I''m gonna try to mostly do it so he can get some rest. I am sure he will be a bit stressed starting a new job. fingers crossed the baby sleeps a *little* more by then. Right now he is doing great I think- o/v eating about each 2-3 hours and sleeping!!!!! inbetween. hooray.
Linden that was so sweet of you to post for me- sorry I didn''t have time to get back to you sooner. we were out alot yesterday. I love your ideas bout the hair dryer. I am gonna try that. And I love potato chips- so that''s good, and mango for that matter, lol. I have noticed some carbs are the easiest things to eat and I have been enjoying some cheetos that my dh bought. The dairy thing isn''t as bad as I thought. I am just gonna eat eggs for now for protein and see how it goes.
So your l.o. outgrew the tummy problem? that is great news. did it ever have a name? How is the baby otherwise? I hope well and healthy. The hospital experience is not fun but we do feel blessed that Tyler did so well and so many talented caring ppl were there to help him.
Right now, we are using white noise, another noise machine with nature sounds, and the bouncer. It is working pretty well...(holds breath and knocks wood). Went to the pedi yesterday and he is gaining great 8 lb 11 oz- everything else looks good.
Linden if this isnt too nosy- I have some anxiety in general and have taken ssri for depression in the past. They really helped my feelings of anxiety in the past. I have nto taken them for quite a while and I am really missing htem now. Since Tyler was in the hospital, it''s like I''m extra anxious- Yesterday I thought his lips were pale and he was having some respiratory distress(I am a nurse so I should really know things are ok- but my mind just gets going and yikes!) My pedi is sooooo patient( I work in the office too) and he is so good with me. He told me it''s normal what I am going through because we had a rough start. Did you experience feelings like this? He reassures me that my guy is "healthy" and I can treat him as a "normal" kid but it''s hard not to worry-I''ll get there eventually I guess.
MrsS sorry your daughter is sick now too. that''s no fun. good news that jake is feeling better though. I totally agree with the yeast thing- we give advice at the office that if a rash doesn''t improve after three days of no wipes, more air, more balm, and if its red and bumpy or broken skin, you should try lotrimin-
Janine Hi- glad Chloe is doing well. I don''t have any mommy advice regarding weight- Tyler doesn''t eat the amount other babies his age *should*- I try not to worry but it''s hard not to compare what''s going on with others/and charts, etc.
oh and I have the volo based on Tacoris rec from before- havne''t used it yet but it looks cute...hahah that is how I like to buy stuff. actually come to think of it- I think I just buy what tacori buys- I am waiting to buy the boon high chair soon.
Tgal wow amelia is 10 months! that''s crazy. waiting for pics. hope you all are well.
Snlee I hope you had a great time on your date!! I want to see wicked so bad. Towards the end of my pregnancy I kept seeing the commercials and was like oh I want to go- not great timing since we don''t really have a sitter. Maybe next time it comes through. Hope d is feeling better too.
Softly Sorry to hear the school thing is stressing you out. I am sure so many mommies experience this. I hope it goes smoothly for you. Even if it doesn''t at first, these little guys get used to new things quickly I think. Hang in there.
lili thanks for the good words. How is J doing? what is new with you?
Jas I hope you feel better soon. I hate being sick. I know you have to feel ok about the medicine but many pain relievers are ok to take- just check with your dr(Im'' sure you already know this- at the pedis office we have a great book that lists all the drugs and if they are safe for breastfeeding.
