SS - What a tough decision to have to make. Sadly, DH and I aren't terribly close to our parents. I love my mom very much, she's just difficult to spend too much time with (very opinionated and pushy). DHs parents are nice but don't really seem too interested in spending time with Sabrina much less us. We really only see them on birthdays and holidays. I AM very close to my siblings, cousins and their kids. We all live within an hour of each other and visit often. Sabrina already adores her cousins and I would feel bad if she weren't able to grow up with them. As much as I dread the idea of moving, I would if it meant a significant boost in DHs career and financial stability for our family. Hope you can both be happy with whatever you decide to do.
Burk - So sorry T is still having so much trouble.
There's nothing worse than having a sad baby. I hope the new meds kick in and she starts feeling better. Bri was always extra clingy when she was having a particularly bad day and all I can suggest is to give in to it. It's funny you mention taking T to the bathroom with you cuz I do the same with S (she likes to sit in the doorway and work on pulling herself up). Big hugs to your lil angel!
TGal - Amelia is so A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!! I want to give her a big squeeze. She looks so much like your baby pic & I'm wondering if she looks at all like your hubby? I'm always told Sabrina looks exactly like DH and and it bugs me cuz I know she has MY ears!
Congrats to A on her 100 days! DH is chinese and his family celebrates it too (we didn't actually have the party until she was nearly 7mos though) and S got a special Chinese name at her party. Sadly, I don't even know what it is. MIL told DH and he got mad because it was really close the the name a cousin he hates has. *sigh*

Those little bear-ear hats are so cute on babies - we had two for G&K this winter, and I just loved them. They are silly but it's OK, babies are allowed to dress a little silly
I totally missed the LIW thread you're talking about. I never check that forum. I was there SO briefly (I joined April 7 and got engaged April 9 - and had only been reading for a few days prior to joining), so it was never all that big a place in my life. BIW on the other hand ... well, that's where I met most of you lovely ladies so that one is close to my heart!

Jas, I agree with all of TGal's points on why Charlie would want baby #2 so soon! But I think that with your 42-week gestation, you're entitled to at least a 42-week break in between Co and getting knocked up again!
As for photos - I'm getting my new glasses tomorrow, so I hope to get a good photo of my haircut once I'm newly bespectacled. And once I have that, I'll upload some photos of said 'do and of the babes. No pics yet of tooth #2 - it's pretty little! - but we def. have some spoon shots.
So, Gabe has discovered that he can make a new sound. Let's call it a SHRIEK. Or maybe a SCREECH. Or maybe a GODAWFUL LIKE NAILS ON A CHALKBOARD SCREAM. OMG, does it make me insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was blaming it on teething, but as we've yet to see anything even resmebling a tooth in his mouth yet, I am now starting to think this is just his new thing to do. It's horrible. I wonder what the neighbors think we're doing to him to elicit such animal noises. He's such a lovebug when he's happy, but when he's not, he's a terror. Q and I both fear he's going to be a big crybaby toddler, as he's def. more high maintenance than K is.
I don't think there's anything we can do to fix this though, IS THERE??? Please .... help.
As for twins -- believe me, you'd all be able to handle it! If I, who had ZERO experience with babies prior to this, can do it, anyone can! There are some days when I want to pull my hair out (like earlier today), but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
And as for relations/BC -- anyone try the NuvaRing? My gyn gave me one last week to try, but I have to wait till my next period to start it. I like that I only have to change it every three weeks - no daily pill! But I don't know anyone that's been on it, so I havent' heard any positive or negative stories yet.
ETA: Softly, I hope your little one feels better soon and that you can get some sleep!

ella, i just wanted to say that i was on the nuvaring for several years and i LOVED it!! first i went to the patch (seriously could NOT remember to take my BCs every night!) and i thought the patch was ok, but it always left a sticky residue and you still had to change it every week. but the ring...oooh, so good. couldn''t feel it at ALL, never fell out, didn''t even have to think about it. dh could feel it when we dtd, but said it wasn''t bad..just...different. suppose if your hubbie minded, you could take it out and then put it back?

SB, I'll post a pic of me when I was baby and my husband. Everyone says she looks like him as an adult, but I think they say that because she is so pale. Now that I went back and look at my baby pics, I really see a lot of me in her.

Funny, I actually saw your wedding makeup/hair photos the other day, and now looking at your baby picture -- you haven''t changed!! Your face is totally the same. And funnier still is that now that I''ve seen you all glammed up and posing all pretty, I can''t take your snark seriously anymore
(Sometimes when I''m bored, I want to see what you all look like, so I''ll search for your wedding photos or something -- is that weird? I just find I can relate to you better when I "know" who I''m talking to!)
Also, I think it''s fun to go back to the Preggo PSers thread and see what was going on last year at this time in our lives. It''s pretty neat to see it all written down in one place (like you said you were using this as your journal, TGal - makes sense)! And not that I''m the authority figure on twin pregnancies by any means, but I think it''d be sort of interesting for the other twin mommies-to-be to read some of my posts from back then too just to see what I went through and compare it to what they''re going through. StephensBride~Thanks! I''m sure you know exactly what I''m talking about since Bri was there too! It''s been hard the past few days since I have work I need to get done and she will not nap. I''ve found that if I just bring my laptop in the living room and "watch" her play she does well.
Ella~Too funny Gabe does the screech because we just got back from dinner with friends and what was Tayva doing in a public restaurant? Oh yes, she screeches! Thank goodness they have a baby too and thought it was adorable and the restaurant wasn''t that busy but man, I wish I could tell her to STOP! Tayva does it when she''s happy, though. I tell my volleyball players she''s practicing up for American Idol because she "sings" most of conditioning and they are constantly looking over at her because they think something''s wrong. Kids!

Just checking in! I am so behind and still OFT. Freaked out b/c MIL gave T MILK yesterday.
I hate when people make me feel like I am over reacting. Hopefully NO new foods will be tried without my consent. She is self feeding herself pieces of banana and avocado. It''s messy but she is getting the hang of it.
RE: Sleep Tessa did not sleep through the night until 6 months. Around 4 months she still woke up twice for feedings. 5 months was once (around 3 am). Something wonderful happened and now she goes 12 hours. 3 months is still a little baby. It''ll happen! I really like the 15 min rule my pedi told me. Wish I acted on it sooner! And for the record I do NOT miss those night time feedings.
NF, I left T with my MIL when she was months. (I know not the same thing) but if you are BFing it WILL cut down your supply. At least it did mine and I was pumping/dumping. As for him handling the babies I agree he will be fine. Won''t do things like you do them but dads never do

TGal - Amelia looks like the perfect blend of her parents! I don''t have a single pic of DH as a child. I''ve asked MIL several times and she never comes through. Maybe now that we have a baby she''ll be more willing.
Bobo - You always have the BEST avatars. I know you made the offer to A, but S would ove to be in lil B''s video (as long as she doesn''t have to be hoochified).
Ella - Sabrina went through a screaming phase too & I think they''re just testing out their voices. After a week or so, she got tired of making the new sound and moved on. Now she''s into clicking; think she''s trying to talk to me in morse code or something.
Tacori - sorry about MIL giving Tess milk; that''s just crazy to me since it''s a huge no-no before 1yr. None of the grandparents will babysit for us until S is older since they "know best" and would give her milk and goodness knows what else.

Tacori - sorry about MIL giving Tess milk; that''s just crazy to me since it''s a huge no-no before 1yr. None of the grandparents will babysit for us until S is older since they "know best" and would give her milk and goodness knows what else.

Ella, T loves the puffs (more than cherrios). She will feed herself pieces of bananas or avocado. I haven''t tried giving her the spoon yet. I am scared! Maybe I will since Gabe is doing it. Yay for Gabe and K''s teeth!!!! She likes those yogurt melts too.

I don''t think that''s weird to go pic hunting. From time to time when I was back on the preggo thread, I''d go and look up photos. Recently I think Tacori''s wedding pics were mentioned and even though I had seen them when she first posted them, I went back to take another look. (Tacori, you were such a beautiful bride!) But the funny thing? Seeing Tacori threw me for a loop because now when I read her posts, I always "see" Tessa and not Tacori!!!
Jas...weird weird weird. Guess what my nickname for Amelia is? Yup, you got it...Buggy. It derives from TGuy calling her Bugalugs. So we call her Bugalugs, Buggy, Bugs, and sometimes I go off an tangents and make up stuff like Bugarubies and Bugamuffin. But it''s always something BUG related.
As for the onesie, my MIL bought it for her and sent it to her from Oz. It''s pumpkin/baby patch and I think they sell the brand here. I like it because Amelia is starting to hate getting onesies pulled over her head and the bug onesie is a side snap one.
I bet we all could get our babies together and have a serious screaming contest.
MrsS, Jake is HANDSOME. Not just cute but really handsome. You guys all dress your babies so cute. I can barely get a onesie on Amelia on most days...forget cute overalls and such!

Her lips are all mine and her nose is a mystery (might be a blend too...TGuy''s was more bulbous when he was a baby and mine was pushed-in-flat). TGal, I am not back yet. *Such* a long trip. I am starting to get annoyed easily. Yes, I have always heard whole milk after 1 year. I was shocked and upset that she gave T some (might have been 2%. Didn't really ask). Nothing seemed to happen but still. DH usually sides with his family. I just remind myself she is MY baby not her baby. I know she would never do anything on purpose to put her in harm but still...I don't really rely on HER (or my mom) for parenting advice since a lot has changed in 30 years!

ETA: they all say I am over reacting to the whole BPA/plastics issues. Whatever. I am like a mama bear and will do anything to keep her safe.

Yeah...definitely a lot has changed. For my mom, it has been 35 years and I really appreciate that she REALIZES that.
