I thought I''d be able to keep up this week but I have fallen behind yet again!

Sleep update –

A few nights of CIO has paid off and hopefully it will only get better from here.

The first night was pretty good but we soon realized it was due to the vaccines, which made him tired. The second and third nights were horrible! He was up nearly all night crying and screaming! DH and I hardly got any sleep and could barely function at work. On the forth night, D did well. He was in his crib from 11-7 and we didn''t have to pick him up once! He woke up twice and was fussy but with the help of his paci he was back to sleep within an hour. I was surprised I didn''t have to nurse him. He went 10 hours between feedings! Last night, the fifth night, was wonderful! D slept soundly for 8 hours!
36.gif
The whole family got a much needed good nights rest. I can''t remember when was the last time I slept 8 hours straight! He went 11 hours between feedings! He has also taken a few naps in his crib and usually goes to sleep without much fuss now (5-10 mins).

DH and I are so happy! Life seems so much easier now! No more rocking him to sleep! No more holding him when he''s sleeping! We wonder why we didn''t we do this sooner! It seems like he''s getting used to his crib and smoothing himself. I hope it continues to get better. Hopefully I''ll have a 12 hour sleeper soon.

I can''t believe D is 6 months old! It goes by so fast! I am really loving this stage!

Here''s his 6 month bear shot.

IMG_1418s.jpg

CURLY, wow what a big girl Lucy is! Sounds like she is doing well. What a brave girl for taking her shots without making a sound! I hope she sleeps better soon.

BOBO, I hope B isn''t slapping anymore. I hope to hear some good news about the house.

KAY, good to see you here! A is such a big girl! That is great your MIL helped with the transition to the crib. I think that makes it a little easier on you. No teething yet for D. He''s been drooling a ton for months now. I guess he just takes after his mommy.

Onto the next page...

BURK, Yay for Tayva!

NF, you''ve received some great advice. Good luck getting your boys to sleep earlier. I can''t imagine how tough it is getting twins to sleep.

JANINE and DIVA, hope your little ones are sleeping better. I feel for you as well. I know how difficult it is as a working mom.

It''s a beautiful warm day today. We''re going to go out and enjoy the sun! I will be back later to catch up!

snlee your little D is so cute! What a little cherub. And that''s great about the sleeping! Last night Hunter went two 4 hours stretches sleeping, it was awesome! And for the last week or so he has been going down like a dream, barely any pickups needed.

Can you post a side-by-side of D''s bear pictures from now and when he was really little? I love seeing the comparison.

KAY - Awwww, she''s such a cutie and I love all of her hair (James is jealous)

DD - Congrats on the manuscript!

SNLEE - He''s getting so big! I''m glad that CIO has worked for you. We''ve tried it with James and had no luck. I just hate to hear him cry
40.gif
DH let him cry 2x last night and he actually put himself back to sleep so hopefully we''re getting somewhere.

We traveled to Pittsburgh, PA today to visit my BIL, SIL and their 4 kids. It was a lot of fun but too much time in the car for me. I''m feeling
14.gif
from it. James did great though and didn''t cry at all.

We''re still waiting on James'' teeth to come through. The front of his bottom gums have two huge bumps on them and he''s had a touch of diaper rash the past 2 days so hopefully soon! He''s also really getting ready to crawl. He''s always getting up on all fours, trying to move and then going back down to his belly. It''s so cute.

Awwee Kay, Alexis looks just like a happy little angel
30.gif

She's a beautiful one for sure.

Snlee
Squee....your D is like a cherub w/ his rosy cheeks and chin! Sooo cute.
I need to see a bigger picture of him and his fab hair (are those curls that I see?)
36.gif
36.gif
for the successful transition to the crib and STTN!

Diva
Haha...James is still a bit hesitant about moving his legs from under him huh?
He'll be moving in no time.

snlee D is so cute!!! what great hair he has. is it curly on the ends? that is such awesome news that he is in the crib STTN!! good job! you and your DH must be so happy to get a good night''s sleep and to have your bed back.

diva that is so cute that james is so close to crawling! it must be kinda cute to watch him to the belly flop and get right back up and try again. teething really sucks but i am sure those teeth will be in any time now.

hope everyone had a great weekend!!

lili, you cracks me up!

Thanks Kay, He is loving his new found talent. I think we''ll know about the house in April. A is just too cute~

Thanks Qtiekiki, I know...very tempting.

Thanks Puffy, Your DH is great too, when will you receive your bag? Little B is doing good...I can''t believe he just learn to walk and he is already trying to run. Of course scare the sh*t out of DH and I because he almost fall every time when he tried to run.

Thanks Snlee, unfortunately he is still slapping and I think just towards me so now I just ignore or walk away when he slap me. yay on D slept for 8 hours! He is super cute in the picture. love his cheeks

Okay I said this before but I love my Playmat! Hunter has been on his looking at his toys for about 30 minutes... am I a bad mommy because I am watching TV and scanning PS while he lays there?
3.gif

Question Anyone who has dogs, how do you keep them away from anything with breast milk on it??
33.gif
My dogs Seamus is obsessed with finding ANYTHING that has even a drop of breast milk on it and licking or chewing it!! I am trying to keep things out of the way, but I don''t wash my burp clother *every* time I use it to wipe Hunter''s mouth, sometimes I''d like to be able to use the same cloth for 2 feedings!

NF I can't believe how big the boys have gotten! Wow ! They are so cute!
Sorry to hear about your MIL being in town....I am sure she is somewhat helpful, but I like my own space
2.gif

Jas12 Sorry to hear about the nap situation
7.gif
Your friend's labor sounds just plain awful
14.gif
14.gif

You are right about keeping a book. I will start searching what is left of my memory...
3.gif

Tgal Sorry to hear about Amelia's foot. Hope it is nothing serious. Please keep us posted!
I would be pissed too if I was taking a vacaction with just my DH and my inlaws tagged along. Doesn't sound much like a vacation.
Sounds more like an oblication...
2.gif

Puffy Little boys and their potties!
Sam used to call it his a "power blaster" and pretend he was shooting the bad guys!LOL
It only gets worse
9.gif

Diva
35.gif
Yay for little mommies!
36.gif
We will have to meet some day!

Dreamer Congrats on the manuscript!
36.gif

Bobo I hear you on not wanting to be pregnant. I can honestly say though, that after the hard baby part,
when two can play together, it actually gets easier.
Get that promise from DH in triplicate - esp. the diamond part!
2.gif

Lili How cute about J fetching diapers!

Mrs.s good luck with your interview!
Sending lots of dust!

Kay
Yes, I have given birth to my own little sitcom here!
A is just ADORABLE! What a cutie!

QT How is everything in your world?

Tacori How is it going with the IL's?

Snlee He is so cute! What a great head of hair!

Sam story of the night
Tonight at dinner we were talking to the kids about not following along if other kids were misbehaving or being mean.
Ava is pretty much the "hall moniter" type, so we aren't too worried about her, but Sam is Mr. Social. Everything is a party to him, and he just wants to be in the thick of it all.
So I was explaining what to do, and I gave an example "Say so and so wants you to do something and you know it is wrong, what do you do?"
And Sam raises his hand (b/c first graders always raise their hands when they ask a question) and asks very seriously "You have a friend named Soandso?"

Lili - Yeah he''s a bit hesitant to move those legs out from under him but he''s just so close. We''ve been working with him every night.

Puffy- It is the cutest thing to watch. He does the little butt wiggle and everything
30.gif

Iluv - I would love to meet some PS''ers! I live in NW Ohio and Pittsburgh is about 3.5 hours from us. I''d really like to meet some of the mommies that post over here - and their little ones too!

Just wanted to pop in and say hello!! I''ve been a terrible PSer lately. DH decided that since he''s around for a few days that we should try and decide on a floor plan and get going on our house
23.gif
. Soooo we''ve been trying to make some decisions, meeting with the builder, ect. during any free time. Poor Tayva has spent more time in the car the past few days (looking at houses and lots) but she''s been a trooper! I''ll try and catch up tomorrow night. Hope all the mommies and babies are doing great!

That would be fun!
I am in western NY about 5 hours from Pittsburgh.

bobo how is little B doing? hope the slapping has calmed down a bit. i get my bag in May, actually later than i thought, but it will be worth the wait.

iluv haha!!! your Sam is just a funny guy. i laughed so loud when i was reading about your "soandso" story. OMG!!! haha!! today B was using his little urinal and i just kept thinking about the "power blaster." haha!!

DD i have a dog but he has never tried to lick anything with breast milk on it. sorry, can''t help you.

diva haha about the butt wiggle!! how is he doing?

lili how is J doing? still sick? i hope not.

burk that''s great about doing stuff for the house. so you guys have decided to build? i''m sure as long as T is with mommy and daddy, she''s ok.

tacori have you decided on a stroller? how is T doing? are you all set for your little vacay?

DD, I have a feeling T will get what she wants out of life
5.gif
Playmats are great. Sometimes I still pull it out for her to play with. WAIT until he can use the exersaucer! AMAZING!

Puffy, is B going to preschool this fall? Sounds like he is ready to starts PT. Tessa just has a mind of her own. I actually really looked forward to my cardio class last night. Not sure if it was b/c I hadn't worked out since Thursday or just wanted a break. We leave tomorrow! Yay! I still have to pack. I am doing laundry right now and need to run a few errands. I will miss my girl for sure but it will be good to be a grown up for a few days and spend time with my DH.

Snlee, That is WONDERFUL news!!!
36.gif
The fog really lifts once baby starts STTN. D is so adorable. Look at all that hair!

Diva, poor James. Teething AND a diaper rash! Hope both resolve themselves soon. I think CIO is difficult on *every* parent but hopefully the end justifies the means. Some children need it.

Bobo, they fall for awhile. T started walking at 10.5 months and was falling all the time probably until she was 13-14 months. I mean she STILL falls sometimes b/c she's a kid.
2.gif

iluv, it's going okay. Haven't seen them much since they are busy with the move.

Burk, how exciting!!! I am jealous. Building sounds so fun!

ETA: I forgot to add a Tessa update. She is doing great. She has been VERY generous with her kisses and hugs. She started sleeping with a pillow (one step ahead) but rarely puts her HEAD on it
20.gif
When I snuck in last night she has her leg propped up on it. She has been "singing" a lot lately too. Her favorite is "row, row, row the boat" or should I saw "raw" b/c that is how she says it.

ETA 2: I found her flower girl dress. Change of plans since the one I found was only $25
9.gif
Thank goodness for Marshals and easter dresses!

Working backwards...I''m soooo behind!

Tacori~yay for a good deal on the flower girl dress! We ordered T''s from ebay for my sister''s wedding. I could not make myself spend hundreds on a dress she would only wear once!! So cute about the singing, too! My T tries to "sing along" when I sing...especially the ABC''s, but she doesn''t know the letters so it''s just jibberish. I''m really excited DH finally took the initiative and made a decision about the house. Picking the lot has been the most stressful part. We meet with our builder tomorrow night to hopefully move forward with the plan and decide on an offer on the lot. Progress. Have fun on your trip!!

Puffy~We went round and round and looked at more houses than anyone should and in the end DH decided he really didn''t want to have to do projects every minute he''s home (because we would have bought a fixer-upper).

iluv~Great Sam story! I laughed out loud.

Diva~Teething is a PITA! Hope Jame''s teeth come through soon!

snlee~What an adorable pic! I can''t believe how big all the babies are getting? Does he have curls? T has curls at the ends of her hair and mostly just in the back. Super cute. YAY for better sleep!

QT~I''m hoping when I try again in a few weeks she''ll have forgotten her big potty debacle!
3.gif

Be back in a bit....

Kay~So glad you''re able to join us. Your little gal is absolutely adorable and I am so excited to see pics of her more often!
41.gif
Her full head of hair reminds me of mrsmitchell''s Amelia! I think a little break from the potty "training" will do T some good. She was really upset.

lili~
35.gif
How''s J?

mrss~Hope the interview went well! Keep us posted!

puffy~T and I had a great time last week. She got to sleep in and I got to lounge around in my PJ''s.
41.gif
Sounds like B is doing really good with potty training. T does the same thing overnight-you can tell she''s wet, but she''s not soaked (even now without going on the potty before...part of the reason I thought she may be ready to start potty training)

Be back with more...

iluv, just sitting here thinking about the hard baby part makes me shriver. I think I will start really *thinking about it* when little B is 18 months. DH is actually very generous in the diamond dept. since little B arrived I have received 1 loose stone which I set in a simple solitaire ring and a pair of Tiffany diamonds studs. I just can''t really imagine what my stomach will look like with a second baby, it look so gross right now.

puffy, the slapping is still here
14.gif
. So only a month away until you get your bag, how exciting. How is your B doing?

Tacori, He is actually walking pretty well, what scare us the most is he is trying to run which cause him to fall every time. I guess little B have little patience. I ask him are you going to fly off somewhere after you learn how to run.

Burk, how exciting on building a home!
36.gif

hi ladies,

just a quick one today. things are a bit stressful now--we finally moved (yay) which is great, but been busy. Also getting to the point where so much time away from DH has taken a toll, but on the other hand can''t get work to let me work from home (necessary in order for us to all live in the new home), so something is going to have to give. I feel a lot of anxiety, but hoping things work out.

C meanwhile is adjusting the best of all--back to her old sleep routine and manages to sleep through the night / be happy so long as she''s got her crib! My mom is a huge help too--having that consistency no matter what chaos is going on has been huge in terms of the baby.

On a different topic, I''m in the market for a 2nd stroller which is going to be a Mac. But, I''m a little sad about switching to a stroller where she won''t be facing me! It sounds silly i know. C doesn''t even like the baby bjorn since she kept trying to strain her head around to look at me..and eventually just cried and kicked like crazy..

Love the photos meanwhile..Snlee''s D is such a charmer! The hair looks like Zac Efron now! hehe.

Bobo~How many kids are you and your DH planning to have? I''m really excited about our house. We''ve been looking at houses, then thinking of building, decided to build once, then decided to wait, so it''s just been a mess. Any news on your house?

janine~Congrats on the move! Had your work told you at one point that you could work at home? Sorry they''re not letting you. Can you look for a new job? I know in this market it would be hard, but you seem so upset about the current situation. I''ll be thinking of you and praying that you get something worked out! Glad C is adjusting to everything like a champ!
21.gif

fiery~I''ll try and post a pic this Friday! I love seeing all the PS babies so I hope at least some are able to get a pic of their LO''s!
2.gif

There. I think I''m pretty much caught up.

Not much new to report. When I picked T up from her first day back at daycare yesterday she walked over to the coat rack and found her coat and brought it to me and said "bye bye"
20.gif
Apparently SHE was ready to go. Talk about a mind of her own. Other than that she''s been happy as can be and we''re going to the allergy doc tomorrow to hopefully reduce her medication. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Hi gals!

I STILL don''t have my computer back and this one can be painful (it''s slow and lags behind my typing, sometimes as long as 15 seconds so I can only type a few words at a time and then have to wait). Hope to catch up more today...

But I have news!!

ONE day before her 1st birthday and my little doofy is FINALLY stuffing cheerios in her mouth on her OWN!

36.gif
36.gif
36.gif

20.gif

OH T-Gal that is wonderful news. Hard to believe that little Amelia will be 1 tomorrow.
36.gif
36.gif
36.gif

Hope you get your computer back soon. We want birthday pictures of your precious little girl.

BTW, I hope doctors find out what is wrong with her little foot too.

Linda

Burk, I think two kids is the most for me and DH. The other day little B say "sister" in mandarin which really stun us because no one teach him to said that so my DH was like little B want a little sister. I think it's wonderful building your dream home. You can have it exactly the way you want it. I think we will close the house in early April, so fingers crossed

Good luck with the allergy appt. tomorrow. little B is going to his nutritionist tomorrow.

janine, sorry to hear about the work situation, hope some thing work out soon for you.

TGal, yay
36.gif
on Amelia feeding her self!! I saw little B sneaking himself with bread pieces couple times over the weekend. But it's like he's scare I'll see it because the moment he caught me looking at him he stop
20.gif
I have a weird child.

Tgal: that''s great and what a fun stage! Can''t wait to see photos of the b''day girl
emsmile.gif

OK, catching up...

THANKS everyone for your nice words and letting me vent. Fortunately we have a wedding to go to which will ensure some time without the folks. Also TGuy and I did talk about this (he had this *look* on his face when I told him when his parents were flying in) and he was really supportive. He said he''s fine with telling his parents we are going to take off for a couple of days up the coast and have a vacation to ourselves. I told him, no, they want to see him and it''s not right to take off without them. I told him that I''d be fine and there would be other vacations. However I drew the line when his mom emailed me two nights ago to ask me if I wanted her to look into TWO BEDROOM APARTMENTS.
23.gif
I told TGuy, NO! I want our own hotel room, sorry! He totally agreed, thank god. He even said he would be the one to talk to her.

Tacori, lol...DANCE on a GLASS coffee table? Dude, I want to be your DH''s kid!
9.gif

DD, congrats on the publication! That is excellent! Re: getting up early...yeah, I''m probably hardcore. But I just find it also helps with scheduling. If she gets up at 7, she has bottle, then breakfast at by 8:15. Lunch happens during lunchtime and dinner, etc. My friend''s kid used to wake up closer to 10, so feedings were a bit off - I mean, if you eat your first meal at 11, is it breakfast, lunch or brunch? And the second meal was at 3 with lots of snacking in between. Just wouldn''t work for me). This is more of an issue later when they start eating solids (and in Amelia''s case, I use the word "solids" loosely.)
20.gif

To be continued (I''m afraid that this computer eats posts too much...)

hi everyone. things have been a bit crazy so cant really catch up right now...

burk just checking in- t is having blood in his stools and mucus
emsad.gif
! so sad. after i posted that a new dose was working, his symptoms were pretty bad all week. not sure if he is allergic to soy. i ate edammame hummus mid week and had been avoiding soy before(mostly). he is pretty cranky frequently. lots of freq breast feeding. also we got lazy about using a bottle and now he is refusing
7.gif
. I went to get my hair done Sunday and he was freaking out while I was gone b/c he wouldn''t take the bottle of bm! For you guys, I know you did the elimination diet, and I know you figured out her allergies- but then you still ended up stopping bf anyway, right? What an ordeal, huh? I forget what formula she took? And did she transistion easily? I only tried formula once and he refused(mixed with bM). Anyway I am sorry for unloading , but I Know you will understand. It looks like we will do the elimination diet(my friend says 50% of the time you can''t figure it out anyway,) and then move forward from there. I would love to figure it out b/c I want him to feel better and then all around we will be happier:).

I will try to catch up with all of you soon. been reading still. miss you guys.

Pave~I'm so sorry!!
7.gif
He had to have reacted to something...poor baby! We actually did elimination and couldn't figure out what it was so that's why we went to formula. So, I can totally relate to what you're going through! It was only with the formulas that we figured it out (tried soy she did horrible, tried elicare and she didn't do well (it has no dairy but has corn), then went to alimentum which has no soy, diary or corn and she did great). I did the elimination for over a week with no progress and I was so worn out, felt like I was starving and was just overall a stress case. If you think the soy may have triggered it, you could keep trying to feed him a bottle of formula until the soy gets out of your system. My doc said sometimes it can take upwards of a week to get some things completely out. Since he's not taking a bottle well, I don't know how well that will go. Keep me posted!

Burk, isn''t sleeping in awesome? Amelia never sleeps in past 7:30 (that is rare) but Sundays is my day to sleep in, so sometimes I''ll just stay in bed until 10am. I LOOOOOOOOOOVE it. Of course, I''m not that well rested because I''m so excited that I get to sleep in, that the night before I hit the sack at around 2am.
20.gif
Night owls do not productive mothers make!!

Bobo, I hear you...the thought of doing 10 months of pregnancy and L&D just kills me. I am not interested, at ALL. As for the discipline and the kid not loving your DH, well, I think if you discipline with love, the kid will be fine. My mom was the disciplinarian but there was never any doubt that she loved me and I adored her as a kid.

puffy, B say anything new this week? He cracks me up. I can''t believe he says half the stuff he does!

MrsS, wow, loading up three kids and driving 7 hours. Woman you are a trooper! Thanks for the kind words and well wishes...

lili, no, I''m a flake. No korean outfit for her 1 year. I don''t even have a dress that I bought...just an outfit that a friend bought her ages ago which I hope still fits. What''s J''s 1 year outfit gonna be?

Kay, she is so beautiful...that is a great pic. I am glad to hear your fog is lifting. It''s a wonderful thing!1

Tacori, your comment on Tessa''s potty training readiness cracked me up.

TBC....

Tgal~yay Amelia!!!
36.gif
Did I miss what you''re doing for her b-day? Just family? Can''t remember... Sleeping in was nice. The funny thing about T''s sleep schedule is she''ll go down at 6:45 or 7pm, but she''ll sleep until at least 7:30am most days. Last week she was sleeping until 8ish most days. She takes cat naps during the day, though! I''ve been known to lay in bed until 10 on Sundays because Dh gets up with T on Sundays as well. I milk it and I''m not too proud to admit it.

Bobo~That''s too funny! You are your DH are the exact opposite of my DH and I!
3.gif
I''m always the one that''s like, "Tayva will be a great big sister" Ha ha. My fingers are crossed for you guys and your house. Please post how B''s appt goes tomorrow, too!
