Hi everyone! Sorry I''ve been MIA. We went to Puerto Rico for a week and I''m still trying to catch up on everything. Lily was an awesome traveler although we had some major teething going on which kinda sucked but Motrin was our friend once again! We stayed at the fabulous Ritz Carlton in San Juan and were the only ones there with a small child so Lily got the royal treatment by everyone there and is now totally spoiled!!! But it was great to get away. I was daring enough to wear my bikini and have my big bump exposed! And I even indulged in a few mojitos and have no regrets!!!!! Anyway, I will have to go back and read everyone''s posts more closely but I skimmed all the pictures and have to admit that we really have the most beautiful babies here! Here''s one of my big girl showing off her pearly whites! I''ll be back with more later.

mrss~Thanks! She is all about the huge open-mouth smile lately!

Diver~Your day looks exhausting. I bet you could use a nap!
3.gif
Can''t wait to see your hair! My hair stylist is growing my hair out (or so she told me a couple weeks ago when I was in for a trim
41.gif
) and I''m not sure I''m digging it. I''m thinking I may getting me a bob some time soon too. I have an appt Friday for color so I''ll discuss it with her then. And thanks for the compliments on Miss T. She is a very happy baby. That''s what made those reflux times so hard. She wanted so badly to be happy. She could actually go from smiling to screaming in the drop of a hat. Not any more. She''s doing so much better!

msb~Thanks! As for "relations" we''re in the same boat.....TIRED!!! I choose sleep 9 times out of 10.

lili~Thanks! I am looking forward to see what happens with her hair too. I can get it to look pretty straight if I comb it down right after a bath but if there''s any humidity it gets all curly and crazy. Such cute pics of Miss J. Look at all that hair and personality!

Tacori~Good to know. I think we may start at least some of the stage 2. Unfortunately we think she had a reaction to applesauce so we haven''t made it all the way through the 1''s yet. Vegas sounds like fun. Am I remembering right and T is going with? Hope you have a great time!

Curly~Lily is an absolute doll! What a fabulous trip! I am jealous!

In Tayva news, MIL bought her a walker and it''s pretty much hilarious. First of all, the walker is a car so that in and of itself is a hoot, but T is in love with it. She only does reverse, but loves it just the same. Here''s a pic of her in it...she backed herself into my kitchen cabinets.

Curly, Lily is such a cutie. Glad you had such a nice time.

Burk, she is coming with us. Slightly scared

I think you DO need to be careful since T has had some reactions. Just make sure you don''t try two new foods in one day. T does looks SO happy. Tessa could only go backward in the walker too.

For an interesting study on a pre-mom''s attitude about BFing, check out the LIW forum...(although now that I''ve said my two cents, it will probably be deleted).

Sorry for the quick threadjack... I loooove all of the gorgeous babies around here though! We''re thinking about 2 or 2.5 years for us til munchkin time... so I get my baby fix here

OT: did the BFing thread just got deleted in LIW subforum? I was reading it, and when I clicked to reply and it says error.

I''ve never go on that subforum before, and didn''t know the drama that goes on there.

Saw your two cents Tacori, but I knew that thread would be deleted soon anyway.

It could have been an interesting discussion. BFing in public is something a lot of people have an opinion on. But it wasn''t gonna happen in that thread.

yup!

tgal- i read it but it was deleted b/f i could reply. very interesting points of view from non-moms though. that reminds me of a story that I wanted to share that happened to me over the weekend on this topic. We were driving home from a trip and still about 3 hours away and stopped to meet my brother and his friend for lunch. When we eat out I usually find a booth in the back of the restaurant and sit on the inside so it''s pretty easy to hide when I have to nurse. I actually did nurse my oldest in a bathroom one time b/c of the shame i felt feeding her in public despite covering her always with a blanket. I''m over those types of worries and will nurse Jake in public but still try to be be discreet. Also, i only nurse in front of family and when we have family over I usually go into another room for privacy from the men present. anyway, we had lunch and Jake was so fussy and hungry. I didn''t want to nurse in front of my brothers friend and was going to try and wait until we got back into the car. (tacori, i''ve nursed my kids in the car too, many times). Jake was flipping out, no one could calm him so I finally said, I dont'' care, covered and nursed. We were in the back of the restaurant and I was in the corner. anyway, my mom left the table to get something from the car and an elderly lady says very loudly to her husband as she''s getting in their car "can you believe that woman would breastfeed her baby in public." my mom just ignored her but told me later. I was thinking, you know, what would she have me do. We''d been in the car 3 hours and were still 3 hours from home so home is out. it''s almost 100 degrees outside so sitting in the car just wasn''t appealing (although I would have done it). I guess many folks would rather you just go to a bathroom...out of sight. I must say, most people cannot even tell when I''m nursing jake. it looks like he''s cuddled up sleeping, half the time hubby doesn''t even know and has to ask me if I''m nursing. I don''t know why it''s offensive to many people though.

New cut pics!!

first....the back!! (perfection!!)

Me & goofy girl...I think she likes it!!!

TGal, glad you saw it. Doubt anyone else did. I think it shows a lot about maturity levels. The sad thing is before T I probably would have agreed with her. After living the BFing life it''s tough. BTW why the F. do airports not have private family bathrooms?!? I had to pump, STANDING up, in a small stall. It was horrible! I only WISH I could spray people across the table! That''s SOME milk production! Haha.

and the other side!

so I went with the Katie bob & some light highlights in a dark caramel...Now that I have it, I could have gone a little shorter, but I am glad we went like this, not too shocking, and still lots of hair to swing around, etc....

I love my hairdresser. I don''t love the $140 + tip, but whatever. Beauty is expensive, and hair is too hard.

what do you guys think? I really like it!

Interesting MrsS. That''s exactly it...no one knows the circumstances about what it going on with the LO and BFing.

I have one of those "Hooter Hiders". I showed it to a mom and she said she could not use it. Her baby played with it and ended up flashing the world anyway. So for some, it''s not even a good option.

I find it interesting that some women who take offense to public BFing would have no problem going out dressed with their boobs hanging out. Geez...at least mother''s are doing it for the sake of sustenance!

Diver, LOVE the new hair! I think you look younger. D is such a ham!

MrsS, yes, BFing in the car is NOT comfortable. Makes me angry I felt ashamed. Maybe next time I''ll loosen up. I always covered with a blanket too BTW. I would have told that lady what I thought of her and her opinions if that had been me. Sassy tacori would have came out in full force!

D- i LOVE your hair! LOVE it!!!

You know what I find really interesting is. Most of the time, it's a female who complains about a mother BFing in public. Men don't usually comment about BFing because they don't truly understand/know about BFing and what is required of BFing, or they feel it's a taboo to talk about it. It's a shame that other women are giving BFing mom a hard time.

Anyways, back to mommies topics. I love all the new pics of everyone's babies.

diver - love your haircut.

Shoot, FORMULA FEEDING in the car isn''t comforable, so I can only imagine how BFing in the car feels.

Trust me Tacori, you would not have been alone. SNIPPY TGal would have been out in full force too!

Interesting point QT. And come to think of it, I believe you''re right.

Wonder if it is because men will be happy to see hooters anywhere, anytime, for any reason?

tacori, my aunt used to pump right in her seat. she travels for business all the time and didn''t want to give up pumping. she''s the type that never felt ashamed though and still was hidden. of course with the motor people around had to know what she was doing, she just didn''t care...lol..

diver: your hair looks awesome!!! you are stunning with that cut, not that your weren''t before but you look like a celebrity!!!

man! I miss all the good threads! Well I have no idea what was said over there, but Tgal, what were you doing stirring up the pot over there? Naughty girl!

Just called a spade a spade IMHO Diver, that''s all.

I breastfed my two kids. Sometimes in restaraunts, Target, the market, the car....
I tried to be as discreet as possible, but they had to eat, and I had stuff to do.
As far as a a public bathroom goes, I hardly want to pee in one , never mind eat in one!

My body has been put through the ringer I tell you. Good thing she is so cute.

I do think women in general have more BFing comments/issues altogether. MIL gave me a hard time for BFing. Maybe b/c she felt guilty she didn''t. Who knows.
