Wow TGal,
Amelia is growing like a weed.
Can''t believe she''s that big and tall!
She''s so cute and pretty.

You know, she looks so much like you when she doesn''t smile :)

I''ll be sure to post stats after J''s fourth month appt at the end of this week.
Don''t think my little munchkin is as tall as Amelia since mommy is a shortie

Your strappings boys must be so big now.
Can''t wait to see the updates.

Bobo
Sorry to hear about the itch.
Can''t help you either.
As Burk suggested, you should definitely see a doctor about it.

Curly and Burk, thanks for the hair tips!

Burk, those photos are awesome. Magazine worthy as someone pointed out. Gorgeous family fer sure.

Bobo, yeah, I know...I thought, my god, my child is huge!

lili, Jas and MrsS, can''t wait to see the "stats". Hehehe. They are fun to see, but unless something is out of whack, I don''t think they mean much. My old boss'' kid was a HUGE baby but now is 50% (pretty much average) for everything and is 5 years old.

True true.
It is fun just seeing how fast they grow.

Here''s a link to an interesting growth chart.

It was fun seeing Jadie jumped 2 curves in the weight chart

That's a cool site! Amelia jumped two curves for weight too, but look at the one below for height...oh my god!

Tgal: I can''t speak for Curly, but I about DIED being preggers with a 2 year old. Steve was working so much & I was exhausted all the time. It was tough. I had to hire housecleaners & I was unbelievably wrung out.

But it all worked out fine! My advice? Don''t think about it. You''ll either just wind up preggy, or you''ll get Amelia to 2, 3, 4, whatever & the baby bug''ll just bite you. (or not). DONT THINK ABOUT IT! Just enjoy your cute lil bunny.

Burk: OMG your hubby is h-h-h-h-ot! Yeowza! Sorry to drool, but nice job girlfriend! You 3 are just too too cute. The pro pics are great!

Curly: Holy cow, you are 31 weeks? goodness! Whatever happened with the apt. next door to you? Will stinky cat lady leave? Can you get it?

I''m tired...weekend from hell....D is a major fusspot. She''ll be all happy smiley girl and then WAAAAAAHHHHH. There is no making her happy. Poor thing. I think it''s teeth.

Oh yeah, what is the dealio with Hylands teething tablets? I heard I''m not supposed to use them? wtf?

OMG is right TGal
At this rate, Amelia may very well jumped off the curve!

That''s why the breastfeeding mom at the airport made that statement about sitting next to a "model"

Looking forward to hearing how big J has gotten in the past couple months.

So sorry Miss D is having a rough time. T''s been doing the same thing. Stupid teeth. How does she do at night? I also read to not use the teething tablets. Don''t know what the deal is. I loved those things.

Was at the cottage all weekend (it was a long weekend here in canada) spent the day on the dock planning my trip in October. Does anyone know off hand if any specific vaccinations are required for travel in Morocco? I doubt it, but i need to look into it.
I''ve already started to compile a list of stuff i am going to need for this adventure. This is not going to be a relaxing trip with Cohen in tow, but it''ll be fun in a different way.

So i was curious about Co''s growth stats so i took him to the fruit scale at my family''s store and got the tape measure out since iam too impatient to wait for his appointment
He weighs 14.10 lbs (somewhere around the 50th percentile)
Length 26.5 inches (95th percentile)
I guess his big chubby cheeks belie how ''lean'' he is.

how was everyone''s weekend?

My first post in the mommies thread as a mommy. Yay!!!

Just curious, did you wake your baby up for feedings? We just went to our first pedi appt. today, and the dr. told us that we not to wake her to feed her. Just wait for her to want to feed, and we don''t have to feed her every 3 hours. She can sleep for 4 - 5 hrs max before we need to wake her to feed her. Right now if I don''t wake her, she sleeps about 3 - 4 hrs between feedings.

M is doing very well as far as BFing; she was able to latch on easily after birth before they took her to the nursery. It''s kind of funny because my SIL who is not married keeps asking me if it hurts to BF. And I keep explaining to her how it doesn''t hurt and it''s not supposed to hurt if the baby is latch on correctly. Then she said isn''t it going to hurt when the teeth come in, and I try to explain to her how in correct latching the baby can''t bite. She is really curious; I think her maternity clock is ticking.

and she likes to sleep like this.

Awww QT, she is so darn precious! As for waking to feed, I'd say follow your peds instructions. If she'll sleep 3-4 hours, let her.

Okay Diver (and everyone else) I did a little research on the teething tablet thing. Apparently there is an ingredient called belladonna that causes concern in the teething tables. This is an article about belladonna: http://www.intelihealth.com/IH/ihtIH/WSIHW000/8513/31402/350410.html?d=dmtContent What do you all think?

Jas12- cohen is another tall and lean april baby. I went back and looked and jake was 14lbs at his 9 week check up, so i''m nervous at what he''ll be next week at his 4 month
6.gif

Q- welcome to the mommy thread. Meena is such a pretty little baby. As for waking to feed. I never did. I think if you''re baby is tiny and underweight a lot of dr.''s will recommend it so they pack on lbs faster but if your dr. says not to worry about it, i''d go with that.

Burk, I used the Hyland's teething tablets with both of my older girls with no adverse reactions to anything. They really did work for both of them. It was like a magic pill and really settled them down and seemed to relieve their pain quickly and easily. I'll have to see more evidence against it b/f I'd not use it with Jake. I'll ask my ped. next week to see if they have any more recent info.

here's another article that you all might find helpful too from mothering.com:

it basically says a kid would have to swallow 3 entire bottles for it to be dangerous. even one bottle would okay, although they recommend calling poison control. however, there was one mom who said her child did have a severe reaction to it.

Hi all! I''ve been MIA as of late. Getting used to being back at work. Then this weekend I took a photography workshop (called mamarazzi, all about photographing your kids) So i have been busy. I havent caught up, but I thought I would check in and say hi!!

Q- Congrats! After I post this i''m off to find your birth story... I''m so happy for you and she is so pretty!

Burk- what great pics you got of your family. The whole family is picture perfect...seriously, you all could be in a magazine!

Formula- I started with similac supplementing in hospital. Then I switched to enfamil when BFing wasnt working, Ian didnt handle it well and I switched to similac sensitive due to pedi''s rec, and now he is back on similac.

MrsS- We used teething tablets, but also used motrin and orajel. ian had 4 teeth by 6 month and 8 by 9 months!!!

My little man will be one year in a month and 16 days. How did I become the mother of a toddler?

Here are a few pics I took at the beach this weekend.

MsF - Awwww... Ian has such gorgeous blue eyes. He is such a hottie.

Thanks Tacori & MrsS for reassuring me. She is doing fine with her weight. She only lost 2 oz.

Awwwww...look at sweet little Meena!

Can't believe you are able to capture a smile from her and she's not even a wk old yet.
That shot is just precious, definitely frame worthy!

Hehe, are those booties on her hands?

MsF--
Ian is a cutie.
Look at those gorgeous baby blues and I love his little pout!
You did an excellent job with the pictures.

MrsS
Wow, 14lbs at 9 wks?

He''s probably around 27-28" now?
