iluvcarats, you are always so sweet! Well, if late walkers are smart hope that doesn''t mean early walkers are idiots
9.gif
I was also a late talker b/c my older sister did all my talking for me. So I guess I was just LAZY!!! Tessa was 7 lbs 2 oz, 20 inches long a week late. I was 5 lbs 14 oz (sunny side up as well!) 3 weeks early. DH was 10 lbs a few oz at full term
23.gif
I can''t remember his length. I was so scared I was going to have a big baby (I am a naturally small girl, only 5''1'') but my doctor assured me babies side comes from the mom. BTW notice I never post pictures of my BODY. Haha! But I just have to remind myself I have lost 45 lbs, I have lost 45 lbs. Just 10 more to go.
1.gif
Your daughter sounds like she is a lot of fun! Oh, and a sleeper now hopefully makes up for the first few years.

Jas12, surprisingly NO dots. I used diamonds instead b/c they went with the font. I will have to upload a picture of it. T is always trying to crawl out of the shopping cart now. Such a pain. My doctor said a baby *can* overeat. So I would monitor it. I wish I could help you design a holiday card. You should have your picture taken FOR SURE!

MrsS, she is pretty proud of herself. How are all 3 of your babies doing? What are they going to be for Halloween? Are you settled into your new city?

I have no shame. I have to admit that I bribed her!
She desperately wanted an American Girl Doll, so I told her she had to sleep in her bed, no getting out, for 10 days in a row, and if she stopped, she would have to give up the doll. Thank God something worked!

You''ve got a whole inch on me Tacori - I''m only 5''! (isn''t pregnancy FUN when you''re short! Can''t say I miss that constant reflux!)

aagd01.jpg

Burk, sorry T is still sick! Poor thing!

Puffy, I bet he did say it. I feel like a horrible mom b/c other people always tell me words T can say. I guess I am so used to her sounds/babble I don''t notice changes. Yesterday she said "go, go!" to one of the twins that was trying out her walker toy. She does mimic me. The other day she kept saying "no, no, NO!" I must say that a lot. Haha.

iluv, pregnancy on us short girls is hard! Plus I was huge. Gained a lot and my uterus was really big (at least according to my nurse). Oh the reflux was so horrible!!!! Don''t miss that at all. Plus my belly got so huge (there are pictures in the preggo thread) people talked about me (strangers) like they had never seen a preggo before
20.gif

oh, no. I smell poop.

MrsS, she is pretty proud of herself. How are all 3 of your babies doing? What are they going to be for Halloween? Are you settled into your new city?

tacori, I'm not sure what they are going to be yet. My oldest wants to be batgirl
20.gif
and I think Lily wants to be some type of fairy princess
36.gif
. My aunt gave me a really nice giraffe costume that I will probably dress Jake in. there is still a lot of time for the girls to change their minds so i won't buy costumes until the week before. We're trying to get settled. I just really miss everything about home. I have even considered going back to work in a couple of years it that would mean we could move back. I actually have a meeting on friday about getting my teaching license here and then I can transfer it back to TN if we get to go. Since i've been a SAHM for over 6 years, everything has expired. If i go back to teaching, i'll have the same schedule as the kids which really is a huge plus. My sister and her family are coming to visit us this weekend though and I can't wait. We're going to do a big pumpkin patch/hayride this weekend which should be fun.

Jas12-Jake is sleeping okay. he did go 5 hours straight last night and then was up 2 more times, 2 hours apart. I just glad he did the 5 hours. I also fed him a jar of food at lunchtime and another jar at dinner. I just wonder if for some reason he has been waking up hungry or at least not full and needs to eat more during the day. we went out of town for the weekend and I forgot to pack any food so I only nursed him and I'm beginning to think nursing alone just isn't enough to keep his belly full.

MrsS, sounds like you have a plan! Teaching is a great job to do as a mother IMHO. Jake would look darling as a giraffe! That is funny your girls change their minds so much.

iluv, forgot to say your daughter is adorable with her new doll. I know we will go to the chicago store once T is older (my parents live in WI). I will not judge you on the bribes b/c I am sure I''ll do the same thing one day.

So when can you really start to change behavior? I have noticed T gets really jealous when I am holding/playing with another baby. She will actually come up and start climbing on me. Also she seems to not want to share toys. I know she is *really* young. Just want to know when it starts to become a problem.

puffy~Thanks! She has done most of the milestones early. I think that the stairs were a little easier for her because she''s tall. Hurray for Brady saying "up." That''s adorable. Has he said it again?

iluvcarats~There is nothing wrong with a bribe....especially if it works! Cute pic of her with her doll!

Tacori~Thanks. "No, no, no" is a favorite of my T''s....although she doesn''t really know what she''s saying yet. I really don''t know about when sharing/jealousy becomes a problem or when they even really know. I''ve read that around 18 months is when they start to understand cause/effect and start to understand when mommy and daddy say "no" that there are consequences ect. Don''t know if that''s really the same thing. Sorry not much help.
41.gif

I forgot to share last week that I had the nurse measure T last week when we were in because I was curious. So my 8 mo-old is 30 inches long and weighs 19lb 14oz. Big girl. Had to move her into 18-mo pj''s so I was wondering....

Morning (or afternoon) gal pals!!

So my kid is long. She''s not officially 6 months yet and I just bought her a 9 month play romper thingie and it barely fits her lengthwise. Burk, it reminded me of Tayva...I think you said by the time she was 6 months old, she was in 9 month clothing?

Burk, hope Tayva is feeling better. And I still haven''t looked at old navy yet for a costume. I have a feeling I''m going to be slack about it.
20.gif

Tacori, Tessa is going to be walking all over the place soon...I am sure it will be before her first birthday. And I was walking at 16 months, so I wasn''t that ahead of you. My brother walked at 9 months...I find that hard to believe but my mom says it''s true.

Jas, such cute pics of Co. He''s a well dressed boy and so derned darling to boot. Amelia has been eating every day, but she just isn''t all that excited about it. I''m not concerned though. We just keep trying and don''t force the issue. And yeah, I''ll bet it''s interesting how strangers just come up and touch him! He''s so cute they probably can''t resist but I just wonder if this is a newer generation thing where we don''t want strangers touching our baby. I hope the good sleep nights continue!

re: family xmas cards...my friend does hilarious ones every year. She superimposes everyone''s head on a backdrop. One year it was a big giant head of her son as santa and the parents were on his lap as elves. Another year the took photos of the parents on all fours and had then harnessed up as reindeers with her son in the sleigh. They are hilarious and I look forward to them every year. I love the regular photo ones I get too, but my friend''s are special because she is SUCH the dork!

lili, I''m stalking you at BRU too! I was just there this Sunday. But honestly, that place still drives me mad, so I am always on such a mission to get out of there that I probably wouldn''t realize notice you were there unless you were right smack in front of me in line and I was looking J in the eye!

Is J liking the boulevard? And I can''t believe that girl is crawling, wow. Amelia still only rolls over one way, but she is good with the push ups now. And she does sit, but I am not sure what you can officially call sitting since she needs to prop herself up with her arms so she is still a bit hunched over. She''s 6 months tomorrow so I will take a pic for sure. And J had a cold, cuts and bruises from daycare? Oh my goodness, I''d cry. Poor thing! Hopefully this week is better!

Bobo, hope little B is doing better?

Ella, I love to hear about the twins because they have such distinct personalities. K has always been the "party" one, right? They are both so cute and while I am happy with a singleton, I do envy how much fun twins seem to have with each other (or maybe it''s just your awesome pics? Hehehe). I totally laughed at your ETA about gabe not being a "lump". LOL...of course he''s not!!!
30.gif

puffy, hooray for "up!" Hehehe. I actually started using that word when lifting Amelia now...maybe she will be a genius too.
9.gif
Actually, I am teaching her the Korean word for "carry me"...it''s a 3 syllable one and kind of a doozy, but she is saying it, although she doesn''t know what it means. She says "uhm-ma" easily, which is Korean for "mama", so I am adjusting it a little to say "uh-buh-ba" which is carry me in Korean. Cracks me up when she gets it right.

MrsS, wow Jake is a good eater! And teaching sounds like a great idea...having the same schedule as the kids? Awesome!

Oh Burk, just read your stats on Tayva...she is long and beautiful! 18 mo PJ''s, really? I think Amelia''s on the same path, which is great! She can beat up all the other kids. Hee hee.

Speaking of stats, any bets on our April babies?

I think at 6 months (her appt is Thursday so I will report back then) she will be:

18.5 lbs
28.5 inches
with a mini melon head.

J? Jake? Co?

Oh we just cross posted! So cute! Look at that hair and lovely skin! He''s gorgeous snlee...you must be so proud!
36.gif

snlee derek is so precious!! what a handsome little man. are you loving being a mommy?

burk B says "up" all the time now. and the cutest thing is that when he wants up in my arms, he will reach out for me. even if i am across the room, he will scream "up' and reach for me. is T cruising yet? B was way ahead of the game with his milestones. i thought he would actually be late just cause he was a BIG boy, both lengthwise and width. if she's not cruising yet, i am sure she will be doing it soon. she is such a pretty girl.

tacori don't worry about it. i am the same way. when we are out and B's babbling away to people, a lot of the time, someone will say oh my gosh, did he just say go, or any word basically. and i'm just like huh?!? and it is so funny with the no's because when i tell him NO, he just shakes his head at me. i know he understands because after he shakes his head at me, he will stop what he was doing and move to something else. haha. any progress with T walking?

tgal it is funny you mention trying to teach Amelia korean because i guess since B was born, my parents spoke chinese to him most of the time, so now he says grandma and grandpa in chinese along with eat. Amelia is going to be such a tall girl!

did or will any of you mommies teach sign the little ones sign language? i taught B when he was about 6 months, and it is amazing how much he has picked up. i mean, if he didn't sign, i would still know what he wants. but he is actually starting to put 2 or 3 sign together. like, he will do more then eat when he is out of snacks. it just amazes me how smart kids are. i taught it to him, not thinking that he would catch on that much. i guess i was wrong.

lili, sorry to hear J got cold, cuts and bruises, poor baby~

Curly, congrats!! Welcome to the world and PS family Lucy Rose.
36.gif

Tacori, can''t believe Tessa is walking already!! Where did the time go? Love the new avatar.

Burk, sorry to hear that Tayva is not getting better. Tayva look a lot like your DH in the avatar.

snlee, Derek is so cute~ and full head of hair!

TGal, little B is getting better. He will have his 2nd echocardiogram next week and appt with the specialist the following week after the echo. I''m praying everything will be ok with his heart.

looks like all the PS babies are growing big except little B. He is down to 5% tile but the doctor said not to worry since he just went thru a "traumatic event" but I''m still worry that he is so skinny.

here are some of little B''s pixs while he was at the hospital.

raykawa.jpg

Burk, well you guys are tall so it makes sense T would be too. I guess I won''t worry about it until 18 months. She is a sweetie just seems to have only child syndrome.

Snlee, he is beautiful! Congrats again and thanks for the pics!

TGal, looks like I am good company (with the late walking!)
2.gif
I think she will be really walking for sure before her birthday. The standing improved so quickly (matter of days). My neighbor was impressed that she can stand on her own WHILE dancing. She is such a ham. Ame is going to tower over little T.

Puffy, glad I am not the only one who doesn''t realize if she is saying a new word. I did notice the past couple days that she mimics me. If I say "ball, ball" she will say "ba, ba." I guess we are used to their noises too so it is hard to notice small changes. Walking is the same. Few steps at a time. She is really getting good at standing so I am sure she will improve walking soon. That is cool you taught him some signs.

bobo, I am so glad he is doing better. He is so adorable. Don''t worry about his weight. T got down to 5% at 4 months (not sure if you remember) with no traumatic event. He''ll plump up again. I am sure of it.

I don''t know that anyone here would really want DFCS in their house, but DFCS can and will go out to houses to show families what needs to be baby-proofed and how to do it. I didn''t even know there were "services" who could do it for families. That would be a great job!!

I enjoy the cases where families call wanting help, rather than the reports of abuse. It''s such a highlight to the job!

Anyway, if anyone is just really curious about how to baby-proof adequately, that''s always a free option!

snlee- Derek is just adorable...such a sweet little man.

bobo-aw look at little B..he''s just too precious in those pics and it breaks my heart seeing him with the IV, I feel like I really know you all
7.gif
. I agree with Tacori though that he''ll plump up and try not to worry. he is such a cutie..

fisher- that''s cool to know about DFCS..

tgal- a big happy 6 month B-day to Amelia!!! can you believe our babies are hitting 6 months...I just can believe how it''s flown by this time around for me. I still don''t have a dr. for Jake here and need to get his 6 month appt. scheduled...will do that first thing tomorrow...

Snlee~Derek is so precious! Hope you're enjoying him (and getting some sleep
3.gif
)

Tgal~The longer you slack on the costume, the better the deal you'll get and then I'll feel like an idiot for going out and getting one so far in advance! They were only $10 online the other day when I looked! And yep, 18 mo pjs! She wears mostly 12-18 mo clothes, but her 12 mo pjs were getting to short so I had to retire them and move on. I'll be interested to see what A's stats are at her 6 mo....the ones you guessed for A's appt are almost exactly what T was at her 6 mo!
9.gif
Oh, and so funny you mention being so big they can beat other kids up because the other night our nephew (who is 2 and a half)was getting a little rough with T and DH was telling me how he can't wait for her to get a little older because then she'll be bigger than him and be able to beat him up! Ha.

puffy~So cute! T reaches for me and that makes my heart melt, but add the "up" and I'd be moosh!
16.gif
T does cruise here and there and some times will let go and stand for a second or so before she plops down. As for the signs, I do some with T, but since I'm not with her all day and our daycare provider doesn't do them, she's not great with them. I just do basics like more. please, thank you.

bobo~T does look a lot like her daddy, doesn't she? B looks so sweet in those pics. Don't worry about the weight, it'll all work out. He sure hasn't lost the cheaks, though!
9.gif
2.gif
Thank goodness, because I love those cheaks!

Tacori~Yea, T is probably destined to be a tall girl. We're not surprised really, it's just so crazy that my baby is wearing toddler stuff. I'm not ready. I can totally relate to sweet baby having a moment where you think "what???" My T cried this morning when I went to leave at daycare. Can you say drama queen? She NEVER cries when I leave and then she all of sudden decided it was mommy time? I left, daycare provider picked her up and she instantly quit crying. Kids.
2.gif

QT
Sorry to hear that Meena didn''t take the shots too well.
Is she feeling better today?
Her reaction is actually pretty typical w/ babies after they get their shots.
My cousin''s kid was the same too -- wake up in the middle of the night crying for the next couple of days.

Jas12
Co''s not lazy.
Like iluvcarats said, he''s smart -- why get himself all worked up when he can have mommy or daddy carry him to his destinations? :)
Hehe, I can''t get over how eager Co is over his solids.
That''s so cute flailing his arms and legs. Sounds just like my nephew. Now that he''s older, he does the wiggle worm standing up when he eats something yummy.
Hmm...I think baby can overeat, but it is probably not too bad since the food they are eating are pretty much in their natural state -- ie...sugar and fat free.

You should totally do the x-mas card.
Those are so cute, especially when you have a wee one in the mix.
Just make sure you don''t get one of the stock designs....then you end up having the same x-mas cards as the next person.

Tacori
I''m surprised your card is dot free :)
Can''t wait to see what the invite is.
Hehe, I think Tessa have it best -- being so small and walking that is.
If she falls, she doesn''t have a long way to go -- unlike Tayva there at 30" :D

Burk
Your girl is just so tall and skinny.
I think we got a future model there.

I''m sorry to hear that you and Tayva are still under the weather.
Hopefully you guys will feel better soon.
Yay for the stair climbing. Wow, it seems like all the babies are getting so mobile these last couple of weeks.

puffy, Tacori, Burk, and TGal
Talking babies already?
Cute and smart :)

snlee

Awwwww....look at how precious Derek is.
And those hair! Another dark-haired cutie.
He is big and plump for 3 weeks early.
Good job mama, you baked him well.
No wonder he''s so ready to come out.

Rest up.

Bobo
Awww....look at that sweet little smile.
Glad to hear that little B is getting better.
Like the other ladies have said, don''t worry too much about his weight.
He''ll plump up in no time.
Hehe, even at 5 percentile, he still got his cheruby cheeks
5.gif

iluvcarats
That pix of your little girl w/ her reward is too cute.
The doll looks just like her -- especially the color and texture of their hair!

Wow, I can''t believe how many "shorties" there are in PS.
I thought I''m the only "midget", as my hubby so nicely called me, on here.
You don''t look like you are 5'' in that pix with your kiddies.

TGal
Hehe, Jade may be fast in her motor skills, but she''s lacking in her communicative skills like your Amelia.
All that comes out of her mouth is a shriek :D

Darn....missed you again. I was there on Friday!

RE: stats for April babies.
I think Jake would be the biggest.
Then Co and Amelia are probably neck in neck with the weight and length.
Then it''ll be J. I still think that the nurse made a mistake with the measurement on the last visit.
In either case, now that she''s mobile and not eating as much (because she''s not taking the bottle and she''s at daycare), she''s sure to not gain as much.
We''ll see.
Her 6-month appt is this coming Tuesday.

Snlee: awww congrats on that gorgeous baby! how are you feeling?

Curly: congratulations & where the heck are the pics? I wanna see new baby girl!

Bobo: Oooh...his little face is so cute. I want to give him a nose kiss.

Jas: OMG...the other night Delaney ate a bowl of noodles, then Jake''s bowl of noodles, then half a banana, then some veggies, then a gogurt, and then a 6oz bottle of whole milk. My girl can PUT IT AWAY. And her weight keeps dropping. She went from 85th, to 75th, to 50th, to 30th percentile this last appt on her weight. Her height is holding at either 100% percentile or 95th percentile. She eats way more than Jake does.

Here''s the thing that cracks me up. She eats like a PIG and only gained a half pound in 3 months. Jake eats NOTHING and gains a few pounds a year like he''s supposed to.

Ummm....ok.

I have to admit, I kind of worried about her appetite, but I figure, unless a noticeable weight gain happens, I''m not going to sweat it. I also notice her eating is more "normal" most days, but every few weeks she''ll start wolfing down food. I think those are growth spurts. Or times of increased physical activity. She''s WALKING now. She walked on her birthday & now she goes all over the house. She can walk about a dozen steps before she has to stop & steady herself. Its a riot!

If I remember from when Jake was a baby, he ate big in spurts every once in a while. Shoot, tonight he ate from 6:45 to 8:15pm. I had to keep getting him more food. Its like once a month he makes up for his bird like eating habits. I asked him if he wanted to be excused & he said "No, I''m not done, I''m hungry, I need more food please." Okey dokey...

Tacori and Jas12
I haven't downloaded the pictures from the last couple of weeks,
but here are two taken a couple of weeks ago.

All the toys around her and she chose the box.

jonbox.jpg

This one is her daddy's favorite

Hmm....how is it that almost all the pix I post are of her in the bear onesies.
She's got more onesies than that
41.gif

Awww, Snlee, he''s beautiful!

Hi all..still little time to keep up here (for now) but a big howdy to one and all! I keep up reading the thread but can only contribute
30.gif
for all the babies and mommies here!

Unless you want to hear me moan about my jelly belly, but that can wait for anither time.
1.gif

We''re taking Jackson to the cardiologist in a few hours.
39.gif

Snlee--yay! Derek is gorgeous, so happy to see pics!

Bobo--I am SO glad little B is doing better, i hate seeing kids in the hospital, makes you just want to take away their pain by experiencing it yourself instead. And i echo what everyone said about the weight. I just heard a Dr. on a mom''s show yesterday talk about how the percentile charts always stress out parents more than put their minds at ease. He said they are not to be worried over unless your kid is right off the chart in either direction.

Tgal--Happy 6 months to Amelia!!! I have no stats yet, but i have an appnt coming up

Burk--you have a tall girl! She''ll take after both mom and dad i take it (you both look tall and slim in pics) How is T feeling now?

Lili--my mom claims that my sister walked at 8 months (i was over a year). I have never really believed her but when i see pics of Jadie i totally think she''ll be one of those babies!!
6.gif
I can''t get over how pretty (and active) she is.

Diver--D *can* put it away
3.gif
. Funny that she eats so much more than her big bro. So much for the theory that boys always eat more! I''ve been doing some reading on babies and overeating. The general consensus seems to be that as long as the food is healthy (natural and easily digested), kids aren''t being forced to eat and there is no history of obesity in the family then it''s not really a big cause for concern.

Jas--hope the appnt goes well--thinkin of ya --and most of us still have a jelly belly so we (or at least I) can moan with you!

*sigh* there is SNOW in the forecast this week
39.gif
I just bought Cohen some mits and hats at Joe Fresh this weekend (is there Joe Fresh in the states?) but he needs a snow suit. So expensive. I am really dreading getting a baby suited up each time we have to run an errand. I want to move....

Jas12: I know! this child of mine is HONGRY. I try to only offer her wholesome foods. Even our pasta is the whole wheat or highfiber/omega three stuff. I am always working to keep my weight in check/body healthy, so there is an absence of junk food in our home. No sodas, cookies, crackers, pastries, chips etc. Well except goldfish. My kids like goldfish. I don''t. Its safe. I''ve had Jake snacking on tomatoes since he was 1. He loves them. And shredded carrots, those are great & I don''t worry about choking like I do with the baby carrots. I even lean out all my recipes. So I''m not worried, and both DH & I are thin & my parents are thin. Well, I have 15lbs of baby weight, but I am still a healthy weight.

JackieJas: Oh my! Please check back in as soon as you can. Heart issues almost always resolve themselves as the kids grow older, they are just checking to be sure he''s just got a murmur & nothing more. I remember always holding my breath when my babies would get their hearts checked because you never know & its pretty common. I can only imagine your worry right now...that''s your baby! Oh honey, big hugs....stay strong!

Tacori: I can''t believe Tessa is going to be such an early walker! She wanted to keep up with her PS sister. Even though Daney can walk, she still prefers crawling for her primary mode of transport. I have that same walking toy someone gave me, perhaps I''ll drag it out today.

You guys have a great day today! I''m off for a walk!

Tacori - Thanks! The bribes do come in handy. Although they seem to become more $$$ as they get older!
6.gif

Gone are the days when my kids were excited to get stickers from the dr. The American Girl Store will be fun with Tessa!

Burk - Thanks! Sometimes bribes are just necessary!
9.gif

Snlee- Congrats! Derek is a beautiful baby!

Bobo - I am glad B is doing better. What a sweetie pie!

Lili - Thanks! Yes I am a very begrudging member of the PS shorty club. Good to know that there are a lot of us! Your daughter is soooo cute! I love the pics!
Seeing the PS baby is one of the highlights of my day!

A big ol'' sigh of relief -- lil Jackson is fine. Our ped. was apparently erring on the side of caution by sending us to the cardiologist. In theory that''s great. In reality, it''s making me a big ol'' nutjob.

Still pumping the breast milk. Mooo. Started taking Fenugreek to increase supply cuz my porkers are eating 4-6.5 oz at a feeding. Each. Sheesh. They take a nice breastmilk/formula cocktail (sometimes I put a nice paper umbrella on the bottle).

Already they''ve outgrown a lot of newborn stuff.

I realize that with newborns, that old adage about how quickly it goes is only half true. It seems to go quickly because you don''t sleep, so it''s like one (long, never-ending) day.

Jas12 -- snow? Already? Blech. Come to Chicago...it''ll seem practically tropical!
Diver -- thanks for your support! LOL about goldfish -- now I want some. Hope the walk was fun. I''m a few pounds away from my goal weight too, but it all seems to have shifted so that my pre-preggo pants refuse to fit. Yuck. Of course, walking, like you are, would be the smart thing to do, but I''d rather sit here and wonder why my a$$ is so big.

Just for giggles:

My boys are John Travolta wanna-be''s:

stayinalivemini.JPG

haha...Jackie...such a cute pic...

SCRUMPTIOUS pictures everyone!

msb700: just dropping in to wish you and your family a wonderful Eid!!

Lili, J is SOOOOO cute! Dot free is surprising for me!

Diver, I bet she does just want to keep up with D!
2.gif
I think she is an early walker/stander/crawler. Guess she is just motivated. That toy was given to us too. She LOVES it. Not only to walk behind but play with all the stuff on the front. Totally drag it out for D. Tessa still only has two teeth
41.gif
So she is behind on some things. haha! I feel like she will need dentures for preschool. Did you do goodie bags for D''s party? Trying to get ideas.

Jas, you are only a few lbs away...I HATE you!
2.gif
3.gif
I have always been thin so the fact this weight is sticking to me is driving me bananas. Your boys are so cute. Good news on Jackson!!! BTW I might try to make it to Chicago (hopefully Burk will to) this spring, you interested in meeting?
