Since T''s 11 b-day is tomorrow we had a mini photo shoot today. I think I got some good shots. It was a beautiful day but now I totally get why baby/kid photographers are pricey. It''s hard! Of course I was alone so having someone to make her smile, look, etc would have been a good idea. She was way more interested in trying to eat grass and leaves than pose after awhile.

Lor, she doesn''t look like a baby anymore huh?

puffy, we went to a 1st b-day at gymboree and it was very fun. The babies LOVED it!

lili, nothing swelled. That really would have broken my heart.

Jeez louise...I should never leave this thread. I posted a query re: my dirty old cat & being driven nutso by her messes...well...first off...people can''t read for you know what.

I should have just asked you guys. I guess if you aren''t a mom with small children, you just don''t understand how distant a second pets come to kids, especially when it can cause health related issues. Dude--is all I''m saying.

I flat out KILL myself to keep a clean, mopped, vaccuumed, dusted home & my cat tracks her nasty litter box paws all over my counters & kitchen table...and those i can SEE because my counters & table are black. And my son has had ringworm more than once...my ped says it from the cat. And then I think..OMG..Delaney crawls all over my floor & puts her hands in her mouth. GAH! I mop daily with germ killer stuff...but I can''t mop ALL DAY LONG can I?

And then she tracks litter all over...and then she poops/hairballs outside the box sometimes. Its nasty. She won''t use an automatic litter box...(that was a waste of $$)

gahhhhhh!

Tgal: Wow A grew! She is sooo adorable. I love her!

Snlee: both my babies had jaundice. Its a little freaky now, but its totally cureable. He need sun & to poop! LOL.

Burk
Try hiding somewhere when she puts the blanket over her head

and see what happens when she can't see you once she removes it.

Tacori
We want pictures!

Diver
I hope you find a solution that works for you and your 12-yr cat.

TGal
I just realized that Amelia grew about 1.5 inch a month!
She looks so much bigger than her 5-month sweet potato face pix.

Oh, we still haven't tried out the boulevard yet.
40.gif

Hopefully, we'll get to it this weekend.

tacori we are looking forward to seeing these pics when you get a chance! wow, 11 months already. happy early 11 months to ms. T!

thanks for all the suggestions for this birthday party thing. i kinda don''t want it to be a big thing just because we leave for hawaii the next day and i don''t want to do everything for hawaii last minute. but i know i should be doing something for his bday. i might look into gymboree. and there''s a little gym place right by us, so i might look into that as well. thanks again for the ideas!

Diver, sorry you are having cat troubles. Is there a reason she is having accidents like she is sick or something? Only *you* know what is the right thing for you and your family. Ignore everyone else
2.gif

Lili, I took 100 pictures! Can you believe it? I got some cute ones though!
9.gif

Puffy, can you do it the weekend before his b-day or when you get back. I don''t think it has to be on THE day KWIM?

Okay, I didn''t want to clog up this thread with T''s pics sooooo....I added my favorites in my who''s who and here is a teaser

tacori ms. T is just beautiful! SERIOUSLY really really pretty she is!
the pictures came out really well. good job!
i wish i could have a party thing for B a week before, but the in laws are totally into celebrating the day of. and i don''t really want to add more fuel to the fire that''s already going between them and myself regarding B. so i figure it''s one thing that they want, and it wouldn''t KILL me to do it for them just so that they relax a bit. they are still mad cause i will not leave B with them for the day. and they don''t get where i''m coming from. and we''ll probably be celebrating DH''s bday sometime the week before.

deleted and added to cat thread.

Tacori
I am sure T won't have a difficult life. Just old wives tale.
Glad T's bloody lip wasn't too terrible. Poor girl.
Love the pic you took of T. She is a little model. Need to venture over to Who's who to see more pics.

puffy
Thanks. I will have to look into it again, and maybe start the signing soon if I want to do it before I go back to work.

Burk
So cute that Tayva is initiating the peekaboo. That's a fun age. I remember when our nephew was doing that.

Tgal
Amelia looks adorable. Her legs are so long. Well she is long for her age, but her legs look really long in the pic. She grew so much since 2 months.

lili
No I didn't give her tylenol before hand because I thought she might be ok. Next round of shots, I am definitely giving her tylenol before hand.

Diver
Sorry about the cat problem. Hope you figure it out.

I don't think I mentioned this before, but M was born with a preauricular sinus on her left ear. In her case, it's hereditary since SIL has one on each ear and DH's cousin has one on his left ear. Usually there aren't problems with them beside reoccurring infections. In that case, the sinus can be surgically removed if we choose (although there's risk of the sinus coming back and other problems if not removed completely). There is an association of preauricular sinus with renal malformations & other kidney problems. Pedi did an ultrasound on M's her kidneys when she was 1 days old, and found that her right kidney is slight larger than her left. He told us that since she is so young, her kidneys might even out and we'll have to keep an eye on them. So at her 2 months visit, he told us that he is going to order some tests on her. We haven't received the paperwork from our IPA yet, so I don't know what the tests are and haven't make appointments for them. I just hope they are non-invasive. I don't know why I am mentioning this now; I guess I'm thinking about it and want to let it out.

Puffy, thanks! I thought they came out good. DH made a comment (before he saw them) that *he* is the best photographer in the family. Never mind I went to art school and took a few photo classes. So I told him we will do a competition. He will do a photo shoot with her (alone, at the location and outfit of his choice) and we will compare
27.gif
Should be fun!

Sorry to hear about his b-day situation. The party we went to at Gymboree was 3 hours (I think?) and the place did everything. Low stress I am sure.

Q, thanks! Sorry to hear about M. I bet you let it out b/c it is something you are worrying about. I hope her kidneys are okay and the tests go smoothly and quickly. You can always express your concerns and worries here. That''s what is great about this thread!

Aw, such cute new pics, everyone!! Tacori, I think a better challenge for you and your hubby would be for you both to come take photos of G & K because trying to get the two of them looking at the camera at the same time is HARD!! That would be a good test of who is the better photographer (and really, no ulterior motive here ...
2.gif
)

Lili, what is it about your Jadelyn that just makes me melt?? I love your new avatar!! That little face of hers just gets to me every time!

TGal - wow, look at Amelia now!! Holy cow, she has grown up so fast! She is such a pretty girl, and her expressions always make me laugh because I swear she''s got your snarkiness hidden in there bubbling under the surface
21.gif
And she''s bigger both height and weightwise than Katelyn, who''s four months older than her!

Jackie, awww look at those two men of yours
30.gif
30.gif
I miss the days of mine being so little (well, kinda sorta miss it but not really). How you holding up?

snlee, congrats on Derek!!! He''s a little lovebug!

Once again, I need to go back and reread the posts more closely to see what''s going on with everyone. I''ll admit, sometimes I skim through and read just the short posts and look at the pics. I did just go over to the preggo thread though, and now I''m just so sad/anxious about Indy''s situation ... I hope she and the cubs are all OK.

OH, and in more lighthearted news, Katelyn did her first backwards somersault today -- on the changing table
23.gif
I mentioned that she is like freakishly strong, right? Well, during diaper changes, she''s constantly arching and twisting and basically doing a backbend while standing on her head and then this morning she went all the way over! So I was holding her legs OFF the table and she was in a wheelbarrow position with her hands on the table and her little nekkid butt high in the air. OMG. I think it''s obvious that we need to invest in gymnastics lessons ASAP for this one!

Oh and just for giggles ... my period is a week late.

I really don''t think I''m pregnant. I don''t feel pregnant at all, and last time my boobs were killing me very early on. Plus I just think I''d know if I were, you know? I think that because I was on the Nuvaring for two months and then went off it last month, my hormones are still trying to play catchup. Sounds plausible, right? RIGHT??

I''m too scared to take a test
32.gif

OK, just had to vent. I feel better now. (Well, not really. I won''t until I get my period!)

ella, take a test! Are you guys planning on having more children? I would love to not only take some photos of K&G (though I think you do a nice job) but paint them a little something too
2.gif
Are you planning a big b-day bash?

ETA: they say every pregnancy is different and since you had twins I am sure the symptoms were MUCH stronger...not what you want to hear huh?

Tacori, I am SO NOT READY for more children!!! I think we both thought we were done after these two, so if I am PG, this is definitely unplanned. We did use protection (condoms), so it's not like we weren't being careful. Ugh. I just don't feel capable of giving 100% to a new baby, and to be honest I'm not ready to not give G & K my total attention just yet.

Actually, strangely enough, I didn't have bad PG symptoms! No morning sickness, very little heartburn. I just had the early physical hugeness and what comes with that: bladder pressure, pelvic pain, etc.

Oy. Maybe I'll take a test this weekend. I can't believe I'm even writing that ...

ETA: Oh I WISH I could get you to paint something for them!!! Their nursery needs some personal touches - it's pretty boring right now. You should set up an etsy site or something and let us all know about it (is that against the rules here?)
21.gif

Tacori~Cute pics! You did a good job as a photographer! My T sticks her tongue out every time she sees the camera now.
20.gif

divergrrl~I can totally relate to being at the end of your rope with keeping the house clean with pets. Our chocolate lab is a great dog but he insists on laying exactly where T usually plays. I vacuum every day and clean the carpet at least once a week. It gets old. I don''t want my kid crawling around in the same stuff my dog was rolling around in outside!! Hang in there!

lili~Good idea. I''m sure it''ll confuse her at first, but I bet she''ll be so excited to see me when I return!

puffy~Hope you''re able to find a solution to your birthday party problems!

QT~Sorry to hear about M. I hope everything is okay. I''m glad you let us all know. This is such a great place to vent worries about our babies! We''re here for support! Keep us posted.

Ella~That''s so funny that K is doing gymnastics! Made me laugh out loud. T just tries to sit up while we change her (sort of like she''s doing crunches....been doing this for months). She is a strong little gal, too. She has been able to go from laying on her back up to sitting up for the longest time. Crazy the things these little people can do!!! As for the preggo situation-I''ve changed BC twice since T and both times my body has done weird things. I have taken 2 pregnancy test in the past 3 months. Silly period just didn''t want to come on time and then the other time I had my period for 13 days.

Ella, not sure what the rules are...or how to set up such a site for that matter. Forgot to say T does the SAME thing during diaper changes. It is SO annoying. I only change her on the floor now since it feels like the safest place. I try to give her things to distract her but she just rolls and crawls away. She is strong too!

Burk, your T is funny. My T used to always wave so half the photos had her hand in front of her face.

I think we have us some PS divas on our hands!!
9.gif

Forgot to mention my stress of the day earlier. How could I forget that!?!?! One of my assistant coaches is due Nov. 3rd with her second baby. They scheduled a C-Section for Oct 24th. We''ve been planning who''s going to come in and coach her junior varsity team from the 21st on.....she texts me this morning that her water broke!!! So, now I''m spending my day finding someone to run her practice tonight, coach her team tomorrow.....argh.....I know she''s equally stressed because they''re building a new house and don''t move in until next week! Babies have minds of their own.

OK, I know I suck because I haven't even gone through this thread to catch up but I wanted to post some Lucy pics since it has been a week already. She is a good baby but eats a lot and makes lots of noise!!!

Here's the scale photo. I believe there is one of Lily like this on here somewhere. Lucy is a big girl--21" long too!!!! She looks very delicate in person though...

Holding her for the first time. Yes, I put makeup on!!!!!

Sorry for the drive by but thanks for indulging me!!! When I come up for air I will catch up on everything and respond to everyone individually. For now, I''ll just enjoy all the photos of our gorgeous babes!!! xoxo

OMG, Curly, she''s sooooo cute!!! And you look wondeful!!! Congraulations!!!!

What a precious girl Curly! Hope everything is going great! Can't wait to hear how much you're loving have two beautiful girls.
9.gif

Congrats again, Curly - little Lucy is precious!! And I definitely see Lily in her face - too cute!

curly Lucy is beautiful! Congrats again!!

Tacori
Seriously, clogged away with pictures of that little beauty of yours
5.gif

Look who you are talking to....we are all obsessed with pictures of babies here.

Those pictures came out really really well.
As much as I love laughing babies, my absolute fav are the ones where she''s not laughing -- face framed by the back of bench, porch, gate.
That one with her sitting on the porch is sooooo precious with that furlonged look.
The one of her clinging onto the gate is too funny.
More please if you have them
2.gif

Like the other ladies said, that girl should seriously model.
Oh, and that outfit is sooo sweet.

tacori-- those pics are adorable. did you enter Tessa in the babygap cutest baby contest? actually all the PS babies should be entered they are all so cute..

curly- thanks for the pics..Lucy is so precious and adorable...

QT
Sorry to hear about M''s left ear and kidney.
I hope the tests are not too invasive and that everything will be ok with Meena.
We are all here for each other, so vent when you feel the need.

Yeah, next time definitely give her some tylenol before the shots.
The Dr told me the second and third doses are stronger than the first.
J was ok with the first dose, but got a slight fever with the second dose.
So for her third set, we''ll give her some tylenol beforehand.

Ella
Thanks. She''s only look sweet
2.gif

Try spending a day with her and see if she still makes you melt
9.gif

Wow, lil MsK is so acrobatic!
She must have a ball at those gymboree classes huh?

Hmm....a week late?
Fingers crossed that it''s your hormones readjusting.

Burk, Tacori, Ella
Too funny about your girls twisting and turning during diaper changes.
J is the same too. And I thought girls are supposed to be the mellow ones during diaper changes.

Burk
Sorry to hear about the stress of work....but TGIF!
