Thanks Tacori, yea, I remember your post regarding Tessa was under weight in the beginning. At 4 months old, that seems like a long time ago.

Thanks MrsS, Burk, lili & Diver, little B was a hit at the hospital. All the nurse love his cheeks too, I told them the cheeks has shrunk at least 50%.

lili, J is too cute!!! look at her little legs & her sweet face.
30.gif

jas, glad to hear Jackson is fine. It''s a good thing the pedi is being cautious, always better safe than sorry. Your boys are too cute!!

Jas12, Our friend''s 1 year old son is off the chart. He is only 16 lb. But they are old enough that you can''t not force them to eat. Little B is only 7 months and already he will pushed away the bottles or shake his head if he don''t want food or formula.

TGal, happy 6 months to Amelia!!

Thanks iluvcarats!

Just sneaking on over here to say to Snlee that Derek is ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Jas, those little boy twin pictures just melt my heart everytime. Keep them coming. They remind me what I have to look forward to on my long frustrating days.

Hard to believe that with any luck I will have my very own set in time for Chanukah/Xmas! And I am so happy to hear Jackson is ok!

BTW I might try to make it to Chicago (hopefully Burk will to) this spring, you interested in meeting?

just wanted to say I''d totally come into the city if you gals meet. it''s about a 2-1/2 drive for me now. I don''t know if deejay checks this thread but i''m sure she''d want to be apart of a GTG too.

It's been a rough first few days as a mommy. Derek had to be checked into the hospital yesterday night because of jaundice. It was at scary high levels. I was a mess last night after the doctor talked to us about his condition! There's a team of doctors (I've met so many I lost count!) on his case and he's receiving great care. He's under photo light therapy and thank goodness his level has dropped overnight. We're most likely going to be here another night and then we'll be able to go home.

I can't wait to catch up with what's going on with all of you - I miss my PS friends! Hope all of you are doing well.

lili~Cute pics! Thanks. It is crazy how big all the PS babies are getting! T has always been very talkative. She says mama and dada and go and no, however, I don't think she knows what she's saying yet. I can't wait until she is saying mama to me!!

diver~Miss D has a healthy appetite.
21.gif
Hope you had a good walk.

jas~Glad all is well with Jackson. That picture is so darn cute. I lost all of my weight by the time T was three months...it took until she was probably 5 or 6 months for everything to "readjust" back to my normal body. Hang in there, it'll happen.

Jas12~Yep, we're both tall. T is doing a lot better. Thanks for asking. Snow is so depressing. You're more than welcome to move to the good ol' midwest-we were mid 70's today as well!

Tacori~ A GTG would be so fun. Hopefully we can work something out!

snlee~So sorry for the rough days. Hopefully you'll have him back home soon!

Curly
So sorry you had to wait so long for the epidural, but sounds like you had a good labor experience. Can''t wait for pics of Lucy.

Tacori
It''s probably a Chinese old wives tale, but my mom says that babies, who walk later, has an easier life. It''s kind of true for my sis; she walked at 15 months and she always had an easy time finding awesome jobs.

Jas12
It''s awesome that your wedding photographer offered to do a fall shoot for you guys for a discounted price. I don''t know what you are talking about because you look so pretty in the pics with Co.

Burk
Wow Tayva is climbing the stairs now.
36.gif

Puffy
Yay for Brady''s first word.

I read a book on baby''s sign language, but I haven''t decided if I will use it. When did you start teaching Brady the signs?

iluvcarats
Your daughter is adorable. She has gorgeous blue eyes.

MrsS
So you plan to go back to work after Jake is in school. That''s awesome. I would love to be a SAHM when the kids are young, and then go back to work after the youngest is in school.

Have fun at the pumpkin patch this weekend.

snlee
Derek is so cute. He got so much hair and such long fingers.

Glad his bilirubin level dropped. So did you have to pump to feed him? or did they allow you to breastfeed him? Our friend who gave birth last week was not allow to breastfeed directly, so she had to pump. She said it''s tough because her milk didn''t come in yet.

Tgal
Amelia is really long, wearing 9 months clothes already.

Are you going to teach her to be fluent in Korean?

Bobo
Glad little B is doing better, and hope that the appt will bring good news. He looks really cute in pic C. Try not to worry about his weight. I am sure he will be fine.

fisher
Thanks for the info about DFCS.

lili
Meena is better now. The fever went away on Sunday. She is still not napping well, and the last two nights she didn''t go to bed until 11 something. I hope things go back to "normal".

When did J start daycare? So does that mean you are going back to work soon?

The pic of J playing with the box is sooo cute.

Diver
So cute how Jake responded when you asked him if he''s done. Delaney is such a good eater.

Jackie
The boys are big and healthy, and so adorable. I can''t believe they are eating 4-6.5 oz each. M is still eating 3-4 oz (well when we give her once a day bottle, don''t know how much she eats from the boobies).

Nothing now here with M. She is getting so chubby. I''ve been calling her chunky monkey.

Lurker alert!

Sign me up for a Chicago GTG!

snlee, sorry to hear that Derek got jaundice. Don''t worry too much, this happen to my sister''s baby when he was just few days old. He stayed at the hospital for two days with photo light therapy and was released the thrid day and he is now a healthy happy 2 1/2 years old. I think jaundice happen more to asian babies.

Thanks qtiekiki, hope meena feel better soon!

Okay, I figure once we are closer we can do a chicago GTG thread in hangout. It is only 90 min drive from my parents and DH has a high school buddy that lives there so I figured I could drag him along and have lunch with you ladies and dinner with them. Win, win!

TGal, forgot to say happy 6th months to sweet A! The next 6 months are going to go by SOOO fast!

Bobo, that is when I started supplementing with premmie formula. Her weight jumped back to 25% in one month. Don''t worry he''ll gain it back. I bet the nurses LOVE him.

Snlee, jaundice is pretty common (though I am sure still scary). Glad D is doing better. Rest up mama!

Burk, I hope you can come too!!! Not sure how far the drive is for you. I am jealous you have your old body back. Did you work out a lot? I really don''t eat that many calories a day so I must need to add in exercise. Such a foreign concept for me.

Q, hope that doesn''t mean T will have a difficult life!

snlee hope derek is all better. jaundice is pretty common, but i am sure it is still a very scary situation for you.

qt i started signing to him around 6 months, and he''s gotten pretty good at it. he started to sign himself around 8 months or so. when i would offer him a snack or food, i would sign more when i give it to him and make sure that he saw the sign. he will sign, more, thank you, eat, please, help, baby, hungry...just the basics. but he is at the age now where if he didn''t sign, i would know what he wanted.

jas your twins are so darn adorable! glad to hear that jackson is fine.

lili what cute pics!! J is on the move. so cute.

bobo little B is just so cute! his cheeks get me every time. i''m sure his weight will work itself out. hope he gets better and better everyday. poor guy''s been through so much, and poor you too. things will get better.

QT~Yep, she''s crazy. T got chunky when she was around M''s age-I called her pork chop!
2.gif

Tacori~I do work out. I wouldn''t say a lot, but regularily. Also helps that I am on my feet walking around my classroom all day and I usually play volleyball with the girls at practice. So, I guess I''m pretty active. I am lucky, though, I have my mom''s metabolism-fast. I think that has a lot to do with it. I kind of caught that you''re doing some working out now, though, right?

Tonight T started playing peek-a-boo where she was the one putting the blanket over her face. It was hilarious. She would pull the blanket up over her face and I''d say "where''s Tayva?" and then she''s pull it down and I''d say "there she is" and we''d do it all over again. Funny girl.

Burk, I need to start working out more. I get lazy streaks. It''s hard b/c I never have had to before so I really have to force it. I feel like such a whiner. Ignore me
3.gif

Babies love peek-a-boo. Seriously why? I don''t know. T thinks it is so funny when I put the blanket over her head and she works her way out. I would think she would be freaked but no...

T got her first bloody lip today. We were playing at our neighbor''s and she pulled a basket of toys over and it hit her in her lip. Around the same time she had a blow out. So I came home with blood all over my shirt, poop on hers...luckily DH was home to help out. Trauma.

I got stuff for T''s b-day today. I think I did pretty well. The 6 babies/little kids will get a Halloween sippy cup, matching silverware, and matching bowl. The 6 older kids (various ages) will get Halloween flashlights (the top changes and makes shadows of spider, pumpkin, etc..I think there are 6 different ones), Halloween pencils and post it. All from Target (the front part that is cheap) I figured it was better than candy since it is right after Halloween.

Tacori~Totally understand. Some days I seriously think I'd rather be fat than have to make a trip to the gym!
6.gif
And then I re-think that. How did T handle the bloody lip? I find it so crazy how resiliant kids are. Great job on the party favors. I just love Target.
30.gif

Isn't it so funny how all babies love beek-a-boo? My high school volleyball players were explaining why to me the other day because they had just learned it in their psych class.
9.gif
I just thought it was extra funny that she was initiating it with the blanket up and down. I've always been the one doing that. I guess the girl knows what she wants.

Burk, T was NOT happy. She was crying (hard), tears all over her face, bright red, sweating b/c she was so upset. I couldn''t really calm her down. But after the whole episode we put her down for a nap and she woke up happy as always.

Nothing wrong with a woman knowing what she wants!
2.gif

Bobo, that pic of little B with the IV made me so sad! Glad he is doing better now. And I love his cheeks...he may be in the 5%ile, but he is 100% adorable!

Puffy, I may try a few signs but I probably won''t go overboard with it unless Amelia really takes to it.

Burk, that is crazy that Tayva is wearing toddler stuff! Who gave her permission to grow up so fast?
39.gif

lili, whoa nelly! J''s motor skills never fail to amaze me...she is impressive! That is way advanced for a baby who isn''t even 6 months yet. Wow! And love that pic with the cap. Love that her hair is peeping out of the space in the cap...hehehe. Can''t wait to hear what her "stats" are!

Diver, Delaney is walking? Wow...our PS babies are growing up. And only a half pound in three months? Must be because she is active!

Jas, ugh, snow. Man, I don''t envy you. I hate dressing up the kid. Today was 95 degrees...eek....

Jackie, now tell me, you didn''t pose them to get such a hilarious shot didja?
1.gif
Too funny. So glad to hear the appointment went well! I can only imagine how nervous and anxious you were.
8.gif

Snlee, hang in there! The first few weeks are the hardest for sure and I do think asian babies are more prone to jaundice. They''re all just working the kinks out of being out here in the real world and I am sure Derek will be just ducky soon!

QT, we will at least teach her to understand as much Korean as possible. I am Korean born and came here when I was 8 months old. Korean was technically my first language and I am pathetic at it. I can''t expect her to be much better. Glad to her Meena is doing better! I call Amelia "chunkers" when I am not calling her "buggy."

Tacori, can I be a kid at Tessa''s party? Sounds pretty cool!!

Thanks all for the 6 month well wishes! I didn''t get to do a good shoot today...just snapped a couple before we went to stroller strides and Amelia just woke up from a nap and was cranky. The below pic is the best I could do. I am buying a SLR. I hate using flash and point and shoots are just so grainy at low light.

Stats tomorrow!

IMG_1644ab.jpg

And to compare to her almost 2 month pic with the same bear.

of5332442.jpg

oh tgal-- Amelia is soooo pretty. Look how big she''s gotten compared to the 2 month pic...wow...

Tacori~Poor T! Glad she woke up in better spirits. And yes, a woman who knows what she wants is by no means a bad thing!
12.gif

Tgal~Can''t wait to hear A''s stats. Those pics are great. Can you believe how much she''s grown? So crazy. I did NOT give T my permission to grow up so fast. I don''t know what happened!
8.gif

Tacori, yes I remember you recommend the premmie formula a while back but I looked and I didn''t find the premmie formula in soy because little B is on soy formula. Sorry to hear about Tessa''s bloody lip, poor baby, big hugs...

Thanks puffy, I hope things start to get better soon because I have a cold and I''m so afraid that he will get it from me...My world has been too cloudy lately, I need some sunshine!!

TGal, it was hard to watch him getting poked at and having all the wires on him. I was crying everyday at the hospital to a point my DH said to me "your are scaring him, tough it up woman". Amelia is so cute~ little B getthe same look as Amelia when he woke up from his nap.

TGal, Ame is getting so big!!!! Love the new photo.

Alright girls, my predictions were very close! Stats:

Height: 28" 95%ile (off the charts actually, but I think the highest they will say is 95th)
Weight: 18.2 pounds - 90th percentile (fatty!)
Head: 42 cm - 35%ile (she has her daddy''s pinhead!!!)

Thanks for all the nice words about my girl!

Tgal, she is so cute, like her Momma!!

Tac, I love the new pic of T, how pretty she is growing!

jackiejas
Hehe, cute and funny pix of your boys.
All that is missing is the disco ball eh?

Glad to hear that Jackson got a clean bill of health.
You must have been worried sick the last few days.

Wow, can''t believe how much your boys are eating.
They must be growing like weeds.
J is almost 6 months and I don''t think she even eats that much in one feeding :)

Hehe, when you mentioned moaning about your jelly belly, I was thinking why? I love mine, they are delicious
9.gif

Somehow I doubt you got a muffin top based on that pix you posted of you a few weeks PP.
Great job on the weight loss and I hate you too
41.gif

TGal

Whee....look at how sweet and ultra feminine Amelia is!
I love her outfit and those rosy cheeks are just to die for
30.gif

So adorable and like Lorelei said....just like her momma.

Wow, can''t believe how big she''s gotten.
You were right on the nose with her stats.

snlee
Sorry to hear that Derek has to deal with the jaundice issue.
My nephew went through it as well....he was under the lamp for a few days and they had to medicate him because it wasn''t improving.
It sounds like Derek is getting better with his number dropping after the first night.
Hang in there, he''ll be ducky soon like TGal said.

tgal your girl is tall!! and she''s such a cutie. i love all her "baby rolls!" so cute.

bobo i hope you get better from your cold. things will get better!

tacori nice job on the party planning! you are on top of things. how is T''s lip? poor kiddo.

so DH and i were thinking last night what we were going to do for B''s bday in december. we can''t do anything outdoors like because it''ll be winter and almost guaranteed to rain in s.f. we can''t have people over because we are in the middle of a BIG remodel project where basically the entire house is being worked on. and we didn''t really want to do it at a kiddy place, i.e. chucky cheese, just because i don''t think that B will really enjoy himself. ah, i don''t know. any ideas ladies? i guess we''re open to suggestions, but i guess we have ruled almost everything out.

Jas12
Thanks. You don''t know how active she is.
Even when she''s under the weather, she was still climbing on boxes.
Because her nose was stuffed up, she''d be breathing through her mouth with her tongue hanging out as she got up on the box.
Looked like a little doggy.

Wow, can''t believe it is snowing up there already.
We just got some heat waves the last couple of days!
It was 100 degree where I worked!

Bundling up an infant is a PITA, but Co looks so cute in his hoodies and jackets though.
Love to see a picture of him in his full winter gear.

Bobo
You were not kidding about his cheeks shrinking 50%.
You can really see it between pic A and C.
Even then, he''s still got some cheeks!

Burk
You know which picture of Tayva totally look like your hubby?
It''s one of the christening pix....the one where she was telling the pope what to do :)
Aweee....so cute that Tayva is playing peek-a-boo.

QT
Glad to hear that Meena is better.
Did you give her tylenol before the shots, btw?
J started daycare a week ago. This is her second week.
So I''m back at work when J started daycare.

puffy
Are there going to be alot of kids at the party?
If you get more than 10 kids (I think), you can have a private party at the PumpIt Up (I think that's what they are called).
It's like a gymboree sort of set up.
They have 3 rooms with different setups of inflatable jumpers and slides.
I think the kids get 30 minutes or 45 minutes in each room.
And then end the day at the eating area where you can have pizza catered.
They do all the serving and cleaning.

My SIL had her daugther's 2nd b-day at one of those and she said it's the best and easiest b-day she had.
My 13 and 10 yr old nieces were there too and even they enjoyed it.
Some parents were having a good time sliding down those contraptions as well.

Tacori
Sorry I missed T''s bloody lips.
Hope it is not swollen or anything.
Poor baby.

Tgal~A and T are so similar. T was 28.5" at 6 mo. It was right after then that I had to move her into 12 mo pj's because the 9 months were not long enough.
6.gif
Tall girls we have!
21.gif

puffy~I don't have a whole lot of help for you and the party...but maybe just renting like a party room of a local restaurant or a banquet type room at a local Hotel? You wouldn't have to clean up!! What about a relative or friend's house? You probably don't want to impose, but I'm sure they'd understand. Hope you come up with something!

Lili~I always she looks like my DH when she's up to something mischiev.ous
3.gif
T has always been a fan of peek-a-boo, it's just so funny that she's running the show now.
