snlee--
so do you rinse with the breastmilk?
or do you bathe with the milk and then rinse off the milk with water?
I''ve read about it but never tried it. I think it''s the later but not sure. You can try googling it.

burk AWWWWW, how SWEET is T!!! what a great pic of her.

jas12 you are giving Co mostly table foods now? i think if you have him on mostly table foods earlier, he should be and not THAT picky when it comes to what he likes. i just figured that was the case with B since i had him on mainly table foods since 10 months, he just about eats everything. but he too has his moments where he will refuse to eat anything that i put in front of him.

jas, thanks for your kind words and thoughts. Happy 30th! Hope you have a fabulous time!

MrsM, glad you were able to get some great advice! Yay for tooth! Hope you get more sleep now that the tooth has broke through.

Tacori, hope Tessa is just going through a phase and it passes fast!

puffy, sorry to hear B''s fever is back. Hope he feels better soon. How are you feeling?

lili, 91 lbs? You are tiny! I think I was that weight when I was in 9th grade. You sound like my mom. Her highest weight pregnant was around 113! That was my starting weight! I only leaked the first month or so. I hardly leak now or feel full and my girls seem to be almost back to prepregnant size. Darn! I was enjoying the size since I have small A''s!

Burk, T is so cute!!!

MrsS
Yay for ear infection clearing up.
Sound like Jake is doing great with his 9 mos stats.
You are right; people were holding doors, letting me cut in line when I was pregnant. But not now when I am pushing a stroller and having a hard time opening the door. I don''t get it.

Tacori
Sorry for the rude/mean people.

Burk
ITA with you on hating people who don''t say thank you when someone holds the door for them.
Adorable pic of Tayva as flower girl.

lili
I do have the itch already for DC #2, but it''s too soon to TTC. We want to let M be the baby for a little while.
I want at least 2 and at most 4 kids. DH wants just 2, but he said he''ll think about a 3rd if we have another girl b/c he wants a boy.
M''s upper teeth haven''t come in yet. I don''t want them to come in yet; I am also worry about her biting my nipples off.
Hope your supply will come back up.
I only get 20-25oz because I get 10oz from the morning session at 5am. The other 3 sessions only add up to about 12oz typically.
I don''t know the benefit of using BM to bathe M; I figure adults do milk bath, so babies can too. I rinse her off after.
Wow you are tiny. 91lbs. I haven''t been that 90 something lbs since middle school.
Well the other boob let down when I am nursing, but other than that I don''t leak anymore.

Mrs Mitchell
Glad you got some good advices from the Dr. Hope your supply goes back up soon. Good Luck.

puffy
Hope B''s fever goes away soon.

Jas12
Sounds like Co is slowly getting better.
Have a blast at your b-day party, sexy mama.

Tacori
I am pretty sure it''s just a phase Tessa is going through.

snlee
I am sure you''ll be fine with pumping enough once you get back to work. Plus the amount you can pump will increase as you get used to the pump.

Jas12- Happy early B-day. I promise, the 30''s aren''t so bad
9.gif

Burk-okay, that flower girl picture of Tayva is just priceless
30.gif

puffy- how''s little b?

not much going on here but the COLD. 6 degrees this morning and it''s only getting colder
14.gif
It''s snowing now too. I think I''ll make the kids get bundled so I can get some pictures of them playing in it though
3.gif

Puffy, snlee, QT~Thanks!

mrss~Thank you! It''s freezing here, too! Make me want to stay in our house all day!

Speaking of cold weather... it is currently -1 here with the HIGH at 9 degrees and the low at -12. Tonight it is supposed to be -40 with the windchill. BRRRRR!!!

Seems like we''re all in a cold snap. Currently -40 C here. So cold school buses are cancelled b/c exposed skin will freeze while kids are waiting. I am staying indoors and making chili.

Puffy--ya, he''s on mainly table food now and eats a lot of what i eat, so i hope you are right! I made some really garlicky hummus yesterday and i didn''t mean to give him any but i shared my pita with him and there was a bit on it. He made the most disgusted face but then signed for ''more more'' so i gave him another taste and he loved it!!

Burk--that picture is beau-ti-ful! Can''t wait to see the rest!

MrsS, Yeah, I am slightly disappointed with my girls after nursing
15.gif
But it was worth it. I think they get deflated.
14.gif

Puffy, you are right. I am sure her outbursts are normal. You are lucky B is a good eater. It gets annoying to try to "guess" what she will eat today. I feel like a short order cook!

snlee, I hope so too!

Q, I don''t understand how someone can''t smile when they see a baby smile or giggle. Oh well. 10oz is AWESOME! I could never pump that much with my cheapo pump.

Burk, I think I AM going to stay in my house until DH gets home (so I am released to the grocery store. Fun!
20.gif
)

Jas12, you are lucky Co is such a good eater! I feel like T has gotten pickier with age.

Well, I was feeling sorry for our 30 some degrees but it sounds tropical compared to some of you! I got T a ballpit at Target (clearance) yesterday. I can''t wait to set it up!

qt and mrsS B is better! just a runny nose. thanks for asking!!

snlee i''m so much better. thanks! it''s amazing what the power of nyquil can do when i haven''t had it for about 2 years now. when do you return to work? i''m sure you are dreading it. where are the pics of D...i though you were "working on it?"
2.gif

jas12 haha!!! sounds like CO is a great eater and not picky at all. B''s new thing is freeze dried bananas, not any other fruit, it has to be bananas! weird kid. mmmm, chili!!! awww, i miss it when B would sign. what else does Co sign? B is so verbal now, or i don''t understand what he wants, he walks over to where ever it is and shows me what he wants. like, when he points to the pantry area, i know he wants his snacks, the fridge is either milk, yogurt, or cheese.

tacori things will get better with T. and i''m sure she''s just a delight MOST of the time. i think B and T are opposite. B doesn''t really have too many outbursts in public, but boy when we are home, he THINKS he''s the boss and he THINKS that he''s going to get his way. poor kid has got so much to learn!

man, it is super nice over here. clear, sunny, not windy at all. it''s so weird. i HATE the cold weather...6 degrees does not sound fun!! YIKES
32.gif

Tacori, the ballpit sound fun. I'll have to check my Target to see if they have them.

We have about 6 inches of snow on the ground. Here's Jake all bundled up...

ETA: okay, he's totally looking at me like "why mom, why must you do these things to me??" haha..

Jas, thank you again, I got an email back within the hour! It was very detailed and gives me a lot of hope that I can get past this and keep on BFing. I need to work on a few things over the next couple of days, including improving Amelia''s latch (fine but not perfect, and that''s only a problem when there''s less milk) but I''m hopeful. What a fantastic resource, can''t tell you how much better I feel.

Jen

Mrs Mitchell, if you don''t mind I would love to read your e-mail to him and his reply. I am very curious to hear about his tips etc in response to your issue, since it seems to be common for moms. If you don''t want to post it, just ignore me!
9.gif

Hi Dreamer! I''m not sure I should post the emails, since the reply at least was intended to be one to one advice - not sure of the etiquette in posting it on a public forum. However, I can give you the links to the relevant pages on the website that I was directed to. I''m sorry, but I''ll have to do it tomorrow, since I''m not using my own computer at the moment and don''t have access to my saved emails.

Jas, bedside manner? Not so much! LOL. He was just what I needed though, no nonsense, no messing about. I really do think I''m getting more milk. Amelia is much happier too. Poor little thing was just hungry!

Gotta run, but I will post the links later.

MrsS, he''s sooo cute in that little outfit!

Tacori--
Me? Workout? Haha. I hated the gym. DH''s been trying to get me to join the gym since we met.
In the last 14 yrs since college, just about the only time I stepped on a treadmill is when I was preggo.
Horror stories of women having long labor and delivery due to lack of exercise scared me :P
So I was pretty good about getting my walk in 3 times a week during that time.
I guess I''m blessed with a high metabolism. Would you believe that I''m actually the heaviest of the 3 girls in my famliy?

Hehe, too funny about Tessa''s antics at the restaurant (maybe not for you).
I''m sure I wouldn''t find it funny if J does that in public. She''s already doing that at home. Kept climbing out of her high chair when we feed her.
Her daddy had to take her out and let her play and feed her at the same time (brooding bad behavior I know).

The ball pit sounds like fun.
It is a clearance item for your target only?
I''ll have to see if the target here have them.

Burk--
Hehe, Tayva is too funny. I'm sure it's a passing phase.
Love the prof. picture. She's beautiful! Can't wait to see more of her.

MrsS--
Awwweee...
30.gif
30.gif
the bundled up Jake.
Doesn't look like he mind it too much that you do these things to him :P
Can't believe you guys have snow. It feels like summer here.
I hear you about lacking muscle tone in your belly.
I wasn't kidding when I said that I still have a 20 wk bump
41.gif

I weigh heavier before, but still can fit into my clothes.
Somehow motherhood seems to retain more body fat and maybe my hips expanded?
I'll wait until I weaned J to see if I need new wardrobe.

Your *girls* got smaller
7.gif

I wonder what mine will do.
As of now, they are even bigger than preggo state.
My pre-preggo bra looked ridiculous on.

Jas12--
Hehe, I''ve always been the smallest (shortest) in the class.
Lucky you AF hasn''t visit yet. I''ve forgotten how cumbersome it is to check to make sure that I''m not leaking after sitting for a long time.

Oh, have you and MrsS tried using the straw with the bendy head?
J was able to draw up the liquid into her mouth, but the liquid will always dribble out because she had to keep her head down to suck on the straw.
So when we used the bendy head straw, she''s able to keep the liquid in her mouth when she stop sucking.

snlee--
yes, where is that picture of D that you were working on?
like i said to Tacori, i'm actually the heaviest among the 3 sisters.
you want to hear something insane? my older sister didn't even tip 100 the day she delivered her first born!
she was slightly over 100 with the second.

MrsM--
glad to hear that your milk is coming back.
mine is coming back up too.
i guess i won't slack and remember to pump to empty the breast every now and then.

QT--
So DH might consider the 4th if the first 3 are girls?
9.gif

okay, okay...picture time!

my cutie pie

one more. smiles!

thanks lili! funny thing about his hair. it''s pretty long on the sides and top (sticking straight up!) but in the back it''s thinning. i think his hair looks like a peacock from the side!
3.gif

Low down on the ballpit...my Target had three different ones. A Thomas the train one, a Dora one (which I almost got, and a circus one (which I did get). My friend convinced me to spend more on the circus one b/c there is a net around it. She said otherwise I would be spending the rest of my life picking up balls. haha! Plus there are a few games on it (the outside) It came with 50 balls but honestly I think I am going to buy more. The babies seem to like it (the twins came over) but their 4 year old brother LOVED it! So I figure it is a toy she can grow into. I am guessing all Targets had it at one time so it just depends if it is still in. Mine was the only one but they had several boxes of the other brands.

QT, wow, 10 oz!? I don''t think I could ever get that much. Yea, that''s what I was thinking too. I know that the amount I can pump will increase as I get used to the pump so hopefully I''ll be able to pump enough!

MrsS, Jake looks adorable all bundled up!

lili, holy moly your sister is teeny tiny!

Sorry about the cold weather! Definitely doesn''t sound fun!
32.gif
It''s sunny and pretty warm where I am (in the 60''s). I''m enjoying this week''s nice weather, as it''s been cold lately.

Snlee: he is adorable and got a trendy hairstyle already! Lucky you that he smiles for the camera-Chloe smiles at me but when I whip the camera out it''s frown at the camera or look of suspicion!

Snlee, D is SO cute! I love his hair.

MrsS--Jake is adorable bundled up. Is he fascinated by the snow? I bet the girls will be thrilled to come home from school and play in it.

Tacori--i''ll take advantage of his good eating now, b/c i think it is more common to have a picky kid. I am sure once one of his grandparents sneaks him something sugary he''ll be hard to persuade back over to the ''green side''. That ball pit sounds SO fun. You must post a picture of T playing in it!!

Puffy-he only routinely signs ''more'' ''up'' ''on'' (waves bye, claps, points but those are not really signs). Co loves thoes freeze dried bananas too-- i do too actually. Must be so cute to hear B talk, even if you can''t understand it all--Co still only says dada/mama and dittts (for lights) and i love to hear his little voice. Does B try to put sentences together yet (a few words) or mostly single descriptors/commands. It''s a big transition when they string words together and i think i remember you saying that he does talk very well for his age.

Snlee--what a hunny bun. Beautiful, thick dark hair (oh how i wish my baldy had some of that nice hair ;-)

Lili--ya, not looking forward to AF''s return, i''ve been lucky i guess. I am wondering if i should wait for a few cycles to pass before TTC, if that matters at all. I think i''ll be like my mom and not get my period back until I wean. I really don''t want to have a newborn in the winter months (i''ll be a prisoner in my own home as i am discovering this week) so i have to try and time things right, if possible. Maybe you and I will be back on the preggo thread by the fall! Crazy huh.

MrsM. LOL--he was no nonsense with me as well--but i know he gets dozens of Q''s a day and goes into work early just to answer email so i think he is straight to the point (watched a documentary piece on him) he is not warm and fuzzy but he gets stuff done
5.gif

How could I forget! MrsS, Jake is so stinking ADORABLE in his snow suit! Haha. Made me smile for sure.

Jas12, I feel like I read you are suppose to ween before you get preggo. Probably b/c BFing takes so much out of your body. Hopefully you will have a spring/summer baby so you can get out some next winter.

This is probably generally true, but wanted to point out that one of my friends got preggo while BFing and without ever getting AF! LOL!! It was planned, to a degree, but they had hoped to wait a couple more months.

DD, oh I know a woman CAN get preggo while BFing (and not having her AF) I just thought it was advised to stop nursing while TTC. Could be wrong though.

snlee what an adorable little guy you have!!! he totally reminds me of B when he was just a little baby. and i love that hair!! hope you are enjoying the wonderful weather. we sure are. we went downtown sf for lunch and did some shopping and as soon as B wakes from his nap, we''ll be going to the park.

tacori we got B a ball pit awhile ago, but not from target. but he loves it. we got him a BIG one with almost 200 balls. i''ve actually got him trained to pick up the balls after he''s done and put them back. it''s so funny i talk about B like he''s a dog or something... doing tricks, training him.

jas12 you are right, i LOVE to hear B talk and ay things. i understand most of the time and he does say real words but even if i didn''t understand, i just love hearing his little cute voice. he will try sometimes to put words together but it''s too much for him. he''ll get "mommy up up up, mommy down down down, daddy no no no, mommy help (then he signs please) and after everything, he generally signs ''thank you.'' he knows quite a few words. his new favorite saying is "bad dog." haha. he yells at the dog ALL the time. i feel kinda bad for our dog.

mrsS awww, so handsome! Jake is soooo CUTE!!
