Okay, I am going to try a binkie tonight! Right on schedule, in his third week, Hunter has gotten a little more fussy after feedings and when he is trying to sleep so I think it is time to bring in the reinforcements. If he suddenly can''t figure out what a nipple is for later tonight
20.gif
then I guess we will know it is too soon!

Good luck DD! I introduced a binky at week 3 too (I was still attempting to BF at the time) and we had no issues. Amelia was always a good latcher like Hunter (hahaha, I accidentally typed in "Hunger" just then), so hopefully all will go well....

tacori- hey I think I am confused. Isn''t the other boon flair 3hundred something? the one with the different kind of pedal or something- am I making this up? maybe that is what was sticking in my head? Also I guess I did not realize how expensive other high chairs are- I didnt really look at other ones cause I loved the boon. In my head I htought they were like 60 bucks or somehting. I am probably living in the past, haha.
that was funny that t learned how to say bad mommy. cute. she is a funny girl.
Hey you said your dh works alot, no? Do you put tessa down alone at night and do you get frustrated that dh is not around? I know my dh needs to work - but tonight he was trying to run all kindsof errands and I was getting p.o.''d because I think if he can, he should come home and see the kid! arghhhhh... lots of adjustments to be made, I guess.

tacori i LOVE your T story. B repeats phrases all the time. i call him a "bad boy" when he''s getting into trouble and now when thinks about doing something he knows he shouldn''t be, he will say "bad boy" and laugh. mopping is such a PITA!!!

burk hope T is on the mend, poor girl deserves a break! hopefully, you will get some nice spring-like weather soon. how was shopping last weekend by the way? sorry if you already posted about it.

qt yeah, B sits at the table with us until we are done eating then, he is allowed to go play. i think it''s important for him to sit there with us and eat with us. B is a total ladies man!! cute pic of M!! she is getting big! good thing that she loves to eat. and you guys are totally welcomed to come over and play anytime you are in town!! i''m sure B would try to flirt with M too.

iluv Ava''s bday is right around the corner. any plans? hope you and the family are doing well. B loves playing outside. sometimes i have to drag him back inside the house while he is kicking and screaming the entire time. then when he is inside, all he does is look out the sliding door and say "out out out."

NF
Those mutsy seats are super cute.
But aren''t they more like boosters?
I think we were still feeding J in her recliner at 5 months (even though she was sitting up on her own already).

pave
That''s great that DH was able to put Tyler down awake.
Hope this is the start of good sleeping habit.

Jas12
My vote is NY as well.
Co will be over 1 by then.

puffy
Hehe, B likes all girls huh? No one too young or old for him.
Does he still points to his face when you ask him where it hurts?
Hope his cuts and bruises are gone by now.
One thing about kids is that they heal amazingly fast.
Their scratches seem to just vanish overnight.

msb
Love your cookie jar party favor.
Can''t wait to see it.

Burk
That''s good that T is making progress.
Bummer about having to do the 4 treatments though.

China
Congrats on your little boy!

iluvcarats
Tests are the pits and waiting for the results is a pain.
I hope you don''t need any more tests and procedures.
Ava is another April baby (or kid :)
Celebrating her big 1-0 huh?
Like puffy asked, any big plans for it?

Tacori
LOL....too funny about Tessa copying you.
I say "mean mommy" too when I wipe J''s face, clean her nose, or tie her hair since she hates it when I do those things.
I best not say it any more.

QT
Cute pix of M.
Look at intense look on her face as she examined that block.
Those blocks are pretty neat....they have them at J's daycare.

The Flair Elite is in the $300-400 range but the regular one is about $180 at it''s cheapest.

Missjax, Pave, Tacori, China, Iluv, QT, Burk, Lili, Thank you all for weighing in on the high chair/boosters. I figured they probably weren''t the *best* idea, but I''m a little bit at a loss here. I just cannot bring myself to clutter up my house even more with ugly highchairs. Ick. We do have Bumbo''s coming so we are going to use those for a little while...then I might have to just deal with the ugly ones.
3.gif

Tacori: I am SO SO bummed to hear that your friend hates the Chicco clip on ones! Those are the only ones I have found that I think will work with our table and aren''t a complete eyesore. Do you by chance know if she has the one with the removable/machine washable liners? Or just the super basic one? If it''s the super basic one do you think the removable covers make a difference or not? And Tessa is getting SO DANG CUTE. I think we should bring kids to our GTG, I want to meet the infamous little bugger!

ILuv: You are correct, we do have a big clean up crew around here! They''ll make sure that momma never has to wipe up the floor that is for sure! Hope you are feeling better!

MSB: My condolences to your DH and your family!
7.gif

Janine: She is SO CUTE! I don''t think her ears will be an issue at all. I wouldn''t of even taken notice except for you mentioning it.

QT: M is so so cute!

Oh how I wish there was a way to share youtube videos on here...Max did the most HILARIOUS thing last night. I''m putting it up on my page at that "other" website for anyone who is on there...

Girls, Thank you so much for the sweet words on Chloe! Of course I think she is the cutest thing ever, but it never gets old hearing other people say it (hehe, sign of motherhood, right?). And thank you for reassuring me on her ears..I was worried, but you guys have made me feel so much better--and I know you all would tell me if you thought otherwise. I'll ask the pedi the next time we see him (a few weeks), but don't feel as panicked now.
emsmile.gif

AGSHF: thank you for sharing, it seems like time must go by so fast--and now you have a 12 yr old!

DD: how'd it go with the binkie?

TGal: that's awful that you got the blue screen, I've seen it a few times myself. I'm glad you got your photos back--I usually upload mine to a photo site..as annoying as it is..but at least they're somewhere other than my harddrive. And you could always track back the photo here too (of Amelia in that gorgeous vintage dress!)

Qtiekiki: Awww, what a cute photo. Love the expresssion, and is it just me, but I love looking at baby chubby legs/thighs and feet!

Neat: I don't have much to add on high chairs (I'll just probably go with something simple), but I did give the bumbo a try and didn't really work out for me. It was fun the first few times (more for me), but the baby didn't seem comfortable and never lasted more than 10mins. I end up feeding in her stroller in the upright position. You'll find something, and you have time too.

Not much else to report--I have an annoying cold (longest winter ever up east), bad cough,etc--but Chloe has escaped it so far (knock on wood)! Moving along on the solids--starting veggies this wkend. I snuck in some pears/prunes into her rice (to help her with bm's), and she loved that..let's hope she doesn't reject veggies!

How did it go? We gave D a paci at 1-2 weeks old and didn''t have any issues.

I love all the adorable pictures! All the babies are getting so big!

JAS12, what a funny picture! Love it!

MRSS, Jake is adorable! I can''t believe how small Mr. Bear looks now!

TACORI, Tessa is a cutie. Looks like she''s having so much fun playing golf.

JANINE, yay for recent pictures of Chloe! She''s so cute! Love the second picture. She looks so old there. Our babies are getting big so fast. *sigh*

QT, M is so cute. What a big girl!

Hi everyone! I hope to catch up on the rest soon!

Hi Guys- just wanted to try and post a new pic! I will try to catch up later- love all the pics! Keep em comin''!

profilepictyler.jpg

pave, Tyler is such a cutie pie! Love his hair and chubby cheeks!

QT~Cute pic!

DD~How did it go with the binky?

pave~Tyler is so cute! I LOVE
30.gif
his hair! Also, you addressed to Tacori, but my DH works late a lot. I do night routine (dinner, bath, books, bed) on my own most nights. This week DH will only see T 2 nights because he works late. But, I''ve found that in general (at least with my close friends and family), men think differently than women do. What I mean is, they will run errands, or workout, or work late and it doesn''t affect them the same way it does women. If my DH is going to be doing something in the evenings like going out with friends he doesn''t think to ask me what I''m doing and get a babysitter.....he just assumes I''ll be home with T!
20.gif
It''s frustrating at times and my DH and I have had many a talk about it and he is getting better, but it took time!

puffy~Thanks! It''s supposed to hit 65 this weekend so I think we''ll be spending some time outside again! Shopping was okay. Didn''t find much so I think my SIL and I are going to go again this weekend. Gap/ON/Banana has friends and family so 30% off. I love a good deal.
3.gif

lili~That''s right, progress is good! Four treatments is hard (since it takes about 15 minutes each!) but we''re making it work! Is J walking yet?
21.gif

neat~WE have the clip on HC attached to our breakfast bar and only use it for snacks because it''s a PITA to clean! It''s great for snacks and I used it a lot when she was smaller to sit and play while I cleaned the kitchen/cooked. We have an evenflo highchair and while it isn''t as stylish as the flare, it''s neutral, does the job and was only $100.
5.gif
Good luck! OH, and I so wish we could post videos, too. I''d love to see PS babies in action!

janine~Sorry you''re not feeling well, but that''s great Chloe hasn''t caught it!

snlee~
35.gif
Hope all is going well!

TACORI and PUFFY, thanks for the baby proofing advice.

PUFFY, wow, I just read your park incident and i can''t believe the mom told him to leave!
29.gif
I am glad you guys are enjoying the nice weather and B made a girlfriend at the park...how cute!

TACORI, I don''t know if this is the easiest way to crop/resize photos but I upload it to photobucket and use their edit functions. I hope you get some good sleep soon!

JANINE, I would talk to your pedi if you are worried about Chloe''s ears. Sorry to hear you are sick. Hope you feel better soon.

MSB, I''m sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family.

TGAL, thank goodness those 10 month dress photos were backed up! Sorry to hear you probably loss some files.
BURK, good luck with the nanny decision.

NF, have you looked at the Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair? I think a few of us have it. We''ve been only using it a few weeks but love it so far. It''s around the same price as the booster you posted and saves space. I think this is better for young babies. I have to remember to go check out your video later!

D is doing well. He''s getting so big! I can''t believe he''s almost 6 months! He''s done a few new things this week. He does a weird thing with his tongue - he uses his tongue to push his lower lip out. And he makes these deep grunting noises, usually with some farts missed in. Not sure if he''s constipated? He still poops at least once a day. It''s pretty funny. He is also being a lot more verbal. He''s starting to make a lot more new sounds like ''aaaaaaa''. He''s getting really strong too. He''s so close to rolling over back to front by himself and if his arms are positioned right, he can roll over from front to back. I think he''s really close to rolling over himself and by this time next week he''ll be able to. I am enjoying the time I have left where he''s not mobile. Such a fun stage! I miss him so much when I''m at work.

re the Boon Flair....

I received it as a gift from my parents, and since they aren't usually internet shoppers I helped them find the best price. BRU had it on sale for $169 (in blue only) and then I checked retailmenot.com and found an additional 15% off high chairs coupon. That brought the price to around $150 with shipping and all. The next cheapest place I found it was Amazon. I think it was $175 there with free shipping. Full price is $189. So, I think you can definitely get it for under retail if you watch for coupons. It seemed that most high chairs were between $100-$150 and I didn't see any others that I liked as well as the Boon so it was worth spending a bit more.

Qtiekiki and Tacori, thanks again for letting me know about the slight wobbling - I appreciate you taking the time!

burk heehee, i already went to BR and gap this morning with B. i did find some cute stuff for him and for DH and other kids we know, but i didn''t buy much for myself, which is good since i didn''t want to get much cause of the whole closet thing. hope you get some nice sunshine in this weekend. glad to hear that t is doing well.

lili B''s bruises are still there, but not as dark. he will point to his head and face when i ask him where it hurts. his new thing is pointing at his arm when i ask him where is it pretty cause i put a fake tattoo on his arm and since then, he points at his arm. haha. and cause i got a new tattoo on my arm so he will point to my arm too. kids i tell ya! i''m sure B would try to flirt with J also!! he knows no limits!! he even tries to flirt with 70 year old elderly women!!

pave Tyler is so cute!!

snlee awww, D sounds like he is doing well!! it will only get better from here! sounds like he is about to be mobile, i hope you have child proofed some of the house. have you taken D to the park? i''m sure he would love the swing. and especially with the weather being so nice lately, it would be a nice chance to get out with the family.

gotta get lunch on the go ready. B and i are going to have a picnic at the park then meet his new friend to play. i LOVE the sun!!!
hope all the other mommies are well!!!
i suck at catching up.

Snlee~Thanks! It''s been tough. We''re leaning towards nanny right now. Sounds like D is doing great! Isn''t it fun to watch them get more personality? I love it!

Puffy~Too funny....I am sure I''ll buy mostly for DH and T too. I puffy heart Gap for girl stuff. Their jeans are really the only ones that fit T. Most of the stuff I got last weekend was workout stuff (new sports bras, yoga pants, ect) which is fun yet boring at the same time!
3.gif
Hope you had a fun play date!

Tacori
Too funny about the "mean mommy" story!
I am sure the exercise is working.
Don''t be too hard on yourself. We can''t all be Heidi Klum, have a baby, and get in our string bikini 15 minutes later and do a Victoria Secret photo shoot
11.gif
Seriously, I think she was put on earth just to torture us mortal moms!
Your walking home with Tessa story reminds me of when my kids yell up for me from downstairs and I yell back "STOP YELLING AT ME!"LOL
We are working on a party. I am trying to steer her away from a sleepover
23.gif
but if she really has her heart set on it, I will let her. After all, I am no stranger to sleepless nights
14.gif
9.gif
She is also thinking of a laser tag party. I am letting her decide. I saw in another thread that you have your eye on some furniture. Feel free to post pictures
3.gif

QT
I am fine, thank you so much for asking!
How are you?
Introducing finger food is so much fun!
What are you going to start with?
Cute AV pic and adorable new M pic!

Hi Burk
Like I told Tacori, there will be a party, just not sure what.
How are you, T, and Mr. B. doing? How are your house plans coming along?
And how are your sparkly earlobes?
1.gif

Puffy
That''s great that B loves being outside!
You are in So Cal, right?
If so there are so many great parks for kids there!

Lili
Thanks! One more test to go.
It seems impossible that I will have a 10 year old! the time just flies!
How are you and your family?

NFa
Thanks! I know what you mean about all the plastic - the house starts to become a plastic wasteland
38.gif

Have you had any of your "friends" try to pawn theirs off on you yet?
Dogs are the best floor cleaners! I am thinking of naming our next one Hoover!

Pavelover
Tyler is adorable!

So I just spent the whole day cleaning my house. Pheww! Tessa was fussy again today. When she was screaming at me I saw how puffy her gums are and there were a few while dots. Wonder if she is getting several teeth at once...again. She was reaching up to me and kept saying "brad! Brad!" I had no idea WHAT she wanted but then she rubbed her eyes so even though it was 4:00 I put her down. I guess brad=bed. Haha. Means I missed my cardio class but I am pretty tired anyways. I am excited to see my friend and her DH. She is actually the one who introduced DH and me.

Q, she is so darn cute!

Burk, yeah I like how DH gets kisses EVERY TIME he asks and all I get is "mean mommy."
20.gif
. I got to use my 30% off this weekend too. Yay new clothes!

DD, I think binkies are AWESOME. She still uses one for naps and bedtime.

pave, no the boon flair is the cheaper one. Boon elite is the uber pricy one. DH works so much and it is frustrating. There have been many days where he did not see T. Days like today and yesterday really wear me down. I know he feels bad and it isn''t like he is out at a bar or hanging out with friends. He works hard to provide for us. So I just remind myself that it is a privilege being a SAHM and obviously there are sacrifices. I usually always put her down before he gets home. I will tell ya Tessa is REALLY easy to put to bed. I think it is b/c we never had a long drawn out routine. I literally but her in the crib, hand her the binkie and her little bear and leave. She usually never makes a peep. So nice! Daddies always have it easier. ALWAYS! Everything falls on the mom and it does suck. Plus we get mom guilt. I think the longest DH has been alone with T has been for 4 hours. I am jealous of the DHs on here that spend the whole day with their kid. He loves her to death but I know he gets bored after awhile or stressed b/c he has so much to do. I do yell at him and is trying to be there more. He has even came home a few times when I was at the end of my rope only to go BACK to work when he put her to bed. That''s our kind of romance. Haha. Don''t give me flowers just TAKE her for an hour or two. Anyways I can relate so feel free to vent anytime darling. Cute picture of T!

puffy, That is so funny! She tries to say "good girl" comes out more like "goo grr" but I guess I never say "bad girl." I say "no" tons though. I also say "you are going to drive me to drink" probably too much. Haha! I am jealous you can take B shopping. What''s your trick? Hope you had a great picnic!

iluv, I want to get this massive black bookcase that has glass doors for my kitchen. All my serving pieces are white so they would look AWESOME in there. Plus I would put cookbooks and stuff. My kitchen has this weird bump out so it would fill the space perfectly. The second is one of those coat rack/mirrors/bench with cubby holes for my back door. I am so over DH just throwing his shoes so there is a mountain of them by our back door. I know I am no super model but I really didn''t think this would be so hard. Maybe my body has decided it LIKES the extra padding
3.gif
Sounds like Ava will have an awesome party whatever she decides!

lili, how funny you say the same thing. They are so dramatic our girls
20.gif

NF, look up those wooden chairs that grow with them. Then you would never need a separate booster. I can''t say I love them more than my boon but they would have been my second choice. I am not sure her''s were removable. She is a total neat freak so they must not have. They got really gross, really fast. I can bring her but you might regret it! She is a busy, busy girl. But she is sweet and charming. I will have to check out your video.

snlee, she was having fun. I love how DH was actually trying to show her how to put. I mean come on! She is only 16 months. I posted those after I posted the pictures on the "other website" since they compress them for you. Good idea about photobucket. I thought things got a lot easier at six months. Sounds like D is doing awesome!

Tandog, which color did you get? I never really thought about the wobbling before b/c it is really stable (with the big base). EVERYONE always comments on how cool it is when they come over.

Well I better go wake up Tessa otherwise she might not want to go to bed in a few hours. Have a great night mommies!!!

Binkie update: Well, although a part of me still thinks binkies and bottles and all things fake-nipple are instruments of the devil
11.gif
, the binkie went over as a great success. As proof, here is Hunter waving thanks to all the PS mommies who convinced HIS mommy to let him suck suck suck to his little hearts content. It really helped him during that fussy-crying-help-me! stage before falling asleep.

ETA sorry the picture isn't in focus, I just learned that DH didn't know how to use the camera! LOL!

hunterbinkie.jpg

DD
Hunter is so precious!
It looks like he is Waving *hi*!
sooo cute!

Thanks for the compliments on T you guys!! I really like that picture- still need to get to babies r us for a real photo shoot.
Thanks for the tip Lili.

Tacori thanks for the support re dhs''. I appreciate it. I kinda blew up at mine last night...I guess some of it got through to him because he asked us to meet him for lunch today, which is nice and a good idea. we went and it worked out well.

Burk thanks for your input also- you guys seem to be much more independent than me- and younger with more energy haha. no that''s true.

Dreamer I was just hopping on to say AWWWW! How cute is that picture. Is that a moby wrap? I just got something called the slinglings and I love it. It is working out really well and I even breastfed while shopping at marshalls with it! I was uber excited. Oh and make sure you have a back up binkiie or two!!!

MsB so sorry to hear of your loss. Will keep you in my thoughts...

Sorry for those I missed- hope you are all well!

Just another quick drive-by for me today. James is better from his cold but now DH and I have it so I''m beat and so is he. He took tomorrow off and is spending the day with James since the IL''s are on vacation and we wanted to save some $$ on the sitter. I''m excited because I''ll get to sleep in a bit before heading to the office. I hope everybody is doing well!

DD, adorable picture! Not sure why you think binkies and bottles are the work of the devil. I feel like they saved my sanity.

pave, I hear ya sister. Our friends are coming into town and I asked him to do 4 things. 1. sweep the stairs b/c I HATE doing it with a passion. 2. Scrub our guest shower b/c he is stronger and could do it quicker. It is not even bad at all since no one uses it. 3. change kitty liter...I feel like I clean up ENOUGH poop during the day. 4. change a few light bulbs. I have been asking him to do this for weeks. Will he do them? Probably not. So I am bound to be annoyed tomorrow. Yipee.
20.gif
The worse part is when I am asking for the moon. I hardly EVER ask him to do anything and haven''t slept in for over 3 weeks. I felt bad asking since he is working so hard but it isn''t like he would EVER offer. I still love him. That is so sweet he took you to lunch. See he is trying!!!

Diva, sorry you and your DH caught his cold. I find I am ALWAYS sick when T is. Luckily she hasn''t been sick too often. You are SO lucky you get to sleep in! I am jealous.

puffy
LOL on B saying bad boy.
How''s B''s first date? LOL. Remind me of a story about my cousin when he was in kindergarten (he is 30 now). They had a earthquake drill at school, and when he was under the table, he grabbed the girl next to him and gave her a big smooch on her lips.

NF
Hope you find something you like and work for you.

janine
Feel better soon.
Good luck with veggies.

pave
Tyler is adorable... very handsome.
I agree with Burk that men think differently. DH could just go and leave M at home, no problem. But I want to take her with me everywhere, and spend time with her.
I feel bad for M; she doesn''t have any pro pics yet. Maybe for her 1st birthday.

Burk
Have fun shopping this weekend. Did I miss it? were you looking for something?

snlee
Glad you and D are doing well. It gets better (more fun) everyday, doesn''t it? I keep reading babies roll from tummy to back first, but M had a hard time with tummy to back. Maybe you should take a poll of the PS babies.
Don''t you just look forward to going home every night? I do.

TanDogMom
Kind of off topic, but I think it''s good for things to have some jiggle room. Like freeways and bridges. That way they can take the shock and not collapsed. I don''t know if that''s the reason why the flair wobble, but just a thought.
Regardless, you''ll love it.

iluvcarats
I am not sure what I am going to start with. We''ve been giving her puffs already. I had gave her a few bites of tofu and mashed potatoes when I was eating them.
Is Ava excited about turning 10?

Tacori
Poor Tessa. The endless cycle of teething. *sigh* Hope they break through quickly.
Have a great weekend with your friends.
My two SILs love the flair; they think it''s really cute. And then the other SIL, who had her second baby a month after me, keeps comparing it to her high chair. She says things like oh ours has a bigger tray... blah blah blah. Come to think of it, she compares everything.

DD
Awww Hunter is waving to us. Super cute.
I think Soothie is actually supposed to help with sucking and cause less nipple confusion.

Diva
Glad James is doing better. Yay for sleeping in. Every little bit helps. And take care of yourself mama.

I meant it in jest, you are totally right that they are wonderful inventions, that''s for sure! I guess a part of me just thinks they aren''t "natural" so I joke about them being evil... especially when I was all crying at the thought of giving Hunter a bottle that first week!

It seems so silly now...

DD, the first 4-6 months is about SURVIVAL! When Tessa would nap I literally had to decide if I needed a shower, nap or food the most...THAT is UNnatural! Haha. I guess I am laid-back so once the LC gave me her blessing I was good to go. In fact she used bottles until 15 months which I am sure would freak out some moms. As for the binkies I feel like that is her thing KWIM? It calms her and she loves them. I won''t let her have them forever but I feel like maybe she will decide when she is done with them. Hopefully that will be BEFORE pre-school.

Q, she sounds jealous! Haha. I have never felt like our tray is too small. If I put too much food on her tray she will just throw it.
