That''s funny, my fiance wants me to use the band he gave me on our one-year annviversary of dating as our wedding band. (We''ve been together for 8 1/2 years.) I agreed, as long as I got to change out the teeny tiny little diamonds for ones that are white, not gray, and actually sparkle! He agreed, so I had my e-ring band shaped to match it. I suppose that would not work so well for you. Guys just don''t understand the matching thing do they? But I do love how sentimental they are about the rings they buy us! Are you definitely planning on wearing them on the same hand?

I''m planning on wearing them on the same hand as long as I can find one that goes well. Then maybe I can wear my half eternity on my right hand...though it was sized for my left hand and I''m not sure it would fit on my right.

Just dropping in to say hello. So sorry I''ve been absent for so long. FF/FI and I took a long weekend in a romantic cabin in TN. It was AWESOME!! I''m just catching up on all the threads now. It looks like I''ve missed a LOT!!

Dani- Did you get the setting from Pearlman''s?

Kelli- Any luck finding something fun that''s in your budget??

Lauren- how are all your projects coming along?

As for me....we are getting SOOOO CLOSE!! I''m set to call my jeweler tomorrow to see if they have sent back my ering and wedding band so that we can move on to the final steps. (they were supposed to be casting it in platinum in CA last week. ) So very excited. My goal is to have my rings by October 15th...which really is only 3 weeks away. My guy says it MAY be sooner though.

I''m so happy after an awesome weekend though...so for me...it''s all good. Hope everyone had a great weekend too!

Thank you! And how about you? Were you able to see your settings? It looked like you'd decided on one (in another thread) but I wasn't sure.

Either way, I can't wait to see it. Both settings are gorgeous.

ETA: I missed that you haven't been able to see them yet. What a bummer! I hope the overnight works out, so you can see them both without pressure from a jeweler.

Still no setting. People have no clue. I am SO about to call Julian at Pearlmans and pay to have him overnight the settings to me so I can look at them at home. So freaking annoyed right now.

I say go ahead! Why wait for all the rest of the stooges when you know he will actually send you the right thing? If you''re spending the $$ on the setting, you might as well pay the extra shipping charges to make sure you''re gonna make the right choice! Good luck

Glad you had a great weekend ILE!! I have narrowed it down to just a few stones, thanks to everyone''s input in my "help me choose" thread. I''ll post pics here too when I''m more sure of my decision. As for my e-ring, after some confusion/miscommunication @ WF yesterday, it was confirmed that my stone IS at the AGS!! Brian put a rush on it, so they said hopefully we''ll have the results before the end of the week. Once they know the exact measurements (a little confused as to why they wouldn''t know that already after recutting it), they will look into finding the right prongs for it. I will be out of town on a job from Thursday to Sunday, and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hoping that by the weekend after that, I''ll be wearing my ring again!

#1 grossular garnet, 1.01 vvs 5.74 x 5.71 x 3.63 for $140

#2 malaya garnet, (originally mistaken for pad sapphire) .94 vs 5.49 x 5.47 x3.53 for $100

#3 malaya garnet, 1.36 vvs 8.14 x 6.12 x 3.98 for $105

#4 malaya garnet, 1.43 vvs 6.53 x 6.49 x 4.04 for $100

So #1 is the most expensive, #2 is the smallest, #3 is an oval, which generally isn''t my favorite shape but looks YUMMY, and I can''t find anything wrong with #4. Maybe that should be my choice, excpet that it''s the same color as #3, which I also love.
I need to keep it to one, but have considered getting two

What do you guys think?

As for my ring, now that it''s bead set, it''s closer to 2mm. What do you gals think?

Pros: Great stacking width, thin and dainty looking, less metal than the channel set
Con: Too dainty to wear alone?

You can wear it alone! Even at 2mm. I''ve been wearing my ''lil 2mm cheapie band alone and it''s charming!


And the hilarity continues, Julian was checking to see if they had a sample of the Ritani.. not so much. Whaddya wanna bet the one sample they have is on its way to BBB? Is there an emotie with its head hitting a wall?

Here are the CADs. The sapphires look quite a bit lighter than they do IRL, I think. Also, I had them go two sapphs, two diamonds to give an extra PUNCH of color since the stones are so small.

I love it EBree! The bead set looks great! I''m also wearing a thin placeholder, might be a little thicker than 2mm, but it''s still thin and I think it looks nice.

Ok I think I''ve decided to go with a red, which eliminates 1 and 2. Oval or cushion? (I know Dani votes for the cushion!) My only reasoning for buying the oval is that usually I don''t really like them, but for some reason in that juicy red tone I am LOVING it. I also LOVE the cushion, but I love most cushions, so over time I will find another one to love. Does that sound crazy?

Kelli - LOGR has this setting up for another 11 hours. It''s a 6X8 Oval setting with white and rose gold.... and it''s only $70 at the moment...
