I think the advatange of living in a very big house/palace/ castle is one has many many wardrobes
I really like how Ann brings an outfit back to life many years or even decades latter
I think when she buys new stuff - be it clothes or jewlery or accessories she must choose with an eye to future use, not just this week

ive only learnt since my 30s to buy more discerningly and avoid very trendy clothes and just keep them and rework them in different combos or with different accessories

And considering she was once the number one royal lady in the land she has continued to support her brother's monarchy with grace and respect as she has been pushed further back out of the lime light due to other new family members arriving who are closer to the throne

I have never seen this picture before of the Queen mum as a young Dutchess of York and her MIL Queen Mary

They want NZ$650 for this photo - no wonder ive never seen it before!
Interestingly taken on my birthday - although almost 50 years before i was born !

I assume as it was a gift from his father to his mother on his birth Prince William - (or rather Kate) has this heart shapped diamond on pearl necklaces rattling around at home somewhere ?

It looks young, fresh and almost understated (well compared to Queen Mary above ) and would surely work well in the Dutchess' wardrobe
