when i was a girl you would still get old pre-deciaml coins with King George Vi on in the change when i spent my meager pocket money (we went decimal in 1968 3 years before i was born)
before we resized our money a sixpence was kind of legal tender for 5 cents (we dont even have 5 sent coins nowdays) I forget what the 20c equilvent was but that was very common ( a 20c Aussie coin was also ok but now the coins are different sizes )
