i know we arnt getting a lot of actual jewellery here at CHOGM but im really excited about the King and Queen visiting my backyard, even if they arnt able to visit NZ this time, at least the PM will get to meet HM
i am really enjoying the traditional necklaces and garlands presented to the King and Queen, they are so pretty

The young Princess is the daughter of Hereditary Prince Aloise, who has been acting as de facto Head of State since 2004, and Hereditary Princess Sophie, born Duchess in Bavaria.
The court in Vadutz has released a photo where see a glimpse of a classic emerald and diamond engagement ring. Not a popular choice, but a lovely design. Judging by what I've read about his family, it must also be a good quality ring!

there is a dinner in Samoa today for i think PM's who havnt meet the king yet
its a bit confussing as our PM has 3 things with the King today and im not sure what is what

It's the bi-annual Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting that's taking place in Samoa this year. The last one hosted by the late Queen was in London in 2018 and the whole hamily attended with the ladies wearing tiaras and some big jewels.
The in 2022 in Rwanda Camilla didn't wear a tiara, when the then-Prince of Wales hosted the meeting in his mother's name. It remains to be seen if Queen Camilla will keep the tradition of wearing a tiara as the King's consort. I certainly hope so!

I couldn't be more wrong about the CHOGM dinner in Samoa! The hosts (the Government of Samoa, not Charles III) have apparently asked for a relaxed evening and everyone was casually dressed...

Anyway,during the day Her Majesty wore her antique turquoise earrings


And we got a glimpse of The King's signet and wedding rings.

Another possible discovery, only this time it's mine!

Sotheby's is selling a diamond tiara "attributed to Koch" and formerly belonging to a member of the "European high nobility". While exact provenance is not given, I think it might be the mysterious kokshnik worn by Princess Margarita of Yuguslavia (born Princess of Baden), who was a niece of the late Duke of Edinburgh.

i hate anything of Queen Mary's leaving the BRF but at least its being worn and enjoyed by an actual Queen !!! that's better than a museum and a 1000 times better than a private collector

The shining silver necklace is engraved with: "The golden thread of courage has no end," a line which is special to the royal family as it's taken from a poem read by the late Queen Elizabeth II in her 1981 Christmas address.

HM Queen Camila is off sick with a chest infection so cant open the field of rememberence at Westminister abby this year so HRH The Duchess of Gloucester will be stepping in for HM

i guess its not unusual to end up being ill after a long haul flight and coming from the warmth of Samoa and India to the cool of Autumn in England

hopefully the Queen will be well enough to still attend rememberence Sunday

i think we missed this back in September and im sure the lovely Duchess will wear something special for us jewelery watches this week

The King and Queen of the Belgians slipped into protective white coats and donned blue hair nets while visiting the Materne-Confilux factory in Floreffe today.
