For Steve''s ring.. he doesn''t like the princess cut.. but rounds. So very cool. And.. if I can find myself a smaller oec someday, I''d like one of the CM rings for myself.. but.. not any time soon.

Sounds very cool SDL! I really love the design of the ring, but without the princess cuts too--I think it''ll look swell with rounds.

Just wanted to bump this back up b/c I think there''s another couple new Meyer rings floating around.

And, amidst all my hemming and hawing with the ever patient Gypsy, I emailed CM''s and asked about the 2 I''ve been having fits over. (#1130 and #1375) The settings were reasonable, but more than I want to put forth, wanting to use the majority of my imaginary budget on the stone. (tho one really isn''t that far over) I asked about that antiquey look to #1375, and Stephanie replied that it''s an iodine and alcohol solution they apply to the metal to cause it. Then the ring is polished so the recessed areas are oxidized. I thought that was interesting and wanted to share.

I got the same images e-mailed to me! hee hee. It is gorgeous, but I have concerns about the versatility of the setting given the unusual metals it would need a wb from him in the same metal, and I also worry about maintenance since I live in Canada, if I ever needed re-sizing then it would be a big hassel. I think maybe his settings are better suited to a ring that I *know* will be permanently in that home, or for me, one that doesn''t need a wedding band. I just worry that I would miss the versatility of a simple setting.

But, I just bought a lovely oval sapphire from gary are Finewater and maybe that would look good in one of his settings? Pondering...

Um,Wow. I''ve been a PSer for almost two years and I''m just NOW coming across this thread?! I live in the land of this style jewelry (Ann McKay is half a mile from my house). All of our local jewelers do this style, and when I got engaged people commented on how unique it was even though most girls in my town have similar sets.

I hope these show up. I just purchased my wedding band last night from the same jeweler as my e-ring.

I''m considering having him doing something similiar to the 1345 but with an oval.
I don''t even have the diamond yet (or a proposal) but my SO said I should get researching.

some questions...
-if I do go with an oval... should I go east/west or north/south?

-I am probably going with a k because of budget AND I love the little bit of warmth.
so if I do would it show MORE warmth with YG (not something I want to much of) b/c I like the idea of both YG and WG (haven''t made my mind up yet)

-and do you think he would mind maybe working with me even tho I don''t think I will even be engaged for at least 2 more months?

ckrickett- Jim is so easy to work with! I would give him a call and just talk to him about it. Be aware, he answers his own phone, and just says "Hello"...... so don''t worry that you''ve gotten a wrong number. You couldn''t be in better hands than his!
