Oh, I love this thread! The dresses are gorgeous, as are all of you! Thank you for sharing!

Here''s my dress. It''s by Wearkstatt, a designer that is now out of business. I got it as a sample from a bridal salon ($3000 dress for $400 after some negotiating!) It''s a fairly simple dress, but the details are in the "architecture" of the gown which is hard to see from this model photo. For example, the train in the back is formed by two pleats along the sides of the gown. All the photos I took of myself in the dress turned out horrible, but I''ll post one so you can get some idea of the back/ the pleat train.

This is the gown totally unaltered and a bit wrinkled, but you get the idea. You can kind of see what I was talking about in my previous post about the train being formed by pleats on the side.

Portia, your dress is beautiful! May I ask who designed it? My friend got married in a similar dress (ivory sash instead of black, with a slight sweetheart neckline), and I loved it, but I never found out where she got it.
Thanks DearBuddha! My dress is a Vera Wang. I tried on about 12 of her dresses from simple to very detailed and ended up picking the simplest design which was the very first I had tried on. Funny how that happens. I''ve seen quite a few dresses from other designers that look very similar. Darn it... and I thought I was being different by getting a mermaid gown and tying on a black velvet sash. LOL!

alfred angleo #1952...this pic doesnt even give it justice...once mine is altered i will share me in the dress int his thread....beautiful dresses, everyone! :)

I cant post links I guess. I tried to show the dress and it wont go thru.

save the image to your computer''s desktop, then attach it using the "attach file" feature when you reply to the post. name the picture on your desktop something crazy with numbers, not something like "dress" or "dress1"
hope this helps!

Hi... I saw your posting about the Tara Keely dress. It''s exactly the one I''ve been looking for.. checking ebay, etc. Would you possibly be interested in selling your dress after your wedding? I am getting married at the end of May 2009. If you''re interested, could I ask what size the dress is and if there have been any alterations to it?
Thanks.

Here''s mine. It''s a Belsoie..in the pic it''s blue, but mine is actually a pale ivory color. I think its actually a bridesmaid dress but I bought it for a beach wedding in Key West in April and I was looking for something simple and beachy. I just ADORE it!!

Here''s a little collage of my dress. It''s the Melissa Sweet Mila and I LOVE IT! I can''t wait to throw a white party next year and invite all my girlfriends to come over in their dresses so we can wear them again!

Oooh fun! Here are a few pics of my dress... I also wore a Casablanca, but I don''t remember the style number. I can''t post any pics of me because there are too many people in the photos who might not want to be posted, so here are the stock photos. (She probably looks better than me anyways

Kellybell, that dress is GORGEOUS!!! Who is the designer? (if you don''t mind me asking)

This is my first time posting a picture so I hope this works. This is a discontinued Oleg Cassini dress from David''s Bridal. I got it for 399 at a sample sale. I was searching for a lace gown for less than 400 so I was very excited to find this dress.
