Somebody's Gotta Buy This Piece!

Is the chip gone? I don't see it anymore

Definitely gone bc it has a GIA report now saying M SI1. Didn’t have a report before? I don’t think so.

That's what I thought. Very nice!

@Sachsensox posted about it back on page 183 of this thread.

So I asked them the other day for a video and then saw it sold. They send me some lovely pics (happy to post here if people would like to see them but they couldn't upload a video). I thanked them and mentioned I saw it was sold after they sent pics (which was odd). They said it was relisted and that the pics on the listing are old as they recut the stone.

You bet! Hard to see but I think it is gone. Screen Shot 2024-11-22 at 4.49.55 PM.pngScreen Shot 2024-11-22 at 4.50.09 PM.pngScreen Shot 2024-11-22 at 4.50.02 PM.png

Hot commodity vintage snake charm holder, and it's 20% off.

This pendant has a very French vibe to me, but alas, no shots of the back or the hallmarks. Also 20% off.

Sweet little OEC pendant:

Me too! What causes me to pause is the heavy abrasion on the center spinel.

Same! It looks pretty nicked up.

That was me. I actually have been looking for a beautiful setting for my late mother in law's quarter carat diamond, and I think this could work.

Oh yay! Please come back and post when you have it. I think it's so nice bc it's plat but also weighty at 4g when some of those settings tend to be very delicate and lightweight

A few nice things from the McTeigue sale. I don't think they're the deals of the century but I think the prices are generally good for something curated:

Someone has to be a size 6 for this 12mm wide, 18k, $735 Temple St Clair ring:

and someone here has to love this bow brooch as much as I do, $2850:

A 1.81 G/VS1 asscher ring for $11,625:

Cute platinum hand-engraved baby bezels, 0.95 ctw J/K for $1395:

Anyone's name start with a G? 1ctw E/F VS/SI, 14k, $795:

Damn I never even saw that and I’m always trolling TRR. Was that only up for a few minutes? Lol. And it’s heavy! Can you tell I’m obsessed w weight?

Haha. I always check weight too. The new items went live at 10:00. I saw it at 10:02 and it was in someone’s cart. I went back to check but it was sold.

These are incredible finds, esp the Temple St Clair. Those earrings are just beautiful with the engraving around. Both GIA too.

Gorgeous. Maybe I’m wrong but that looks whiter than a G-H!

My thought too! I have a soft spot for a warm stone, especially antique cuts. But I do love a crispy white Tiffany. Yum.

I'm pretty sure I love that bow pin as much as you do! Thanks for posting it.

“First look” TRR members might have snagged it.

Excellent antique 18k band, 3mm, size 5. I couldn't trace the hallmark.

23k band, 4mm, size 6.5. Really good price for 23k.

Rose gold Ostby Barton band, 12k, 3.3mm, size 10.

Funky wide band. Just shy of 10mm, 14k, size 5.75.

14k Rose gold, 7.7mm, size 10.75. Can anyone tell if those are Russian hallmarks?

I just impulse grabbed this from TRR. I saw it and immediately thought it might be Kataoka, so had to snag it asap. We will see what it is when it arrives. In the meantime, what do you all think? It's dirty AF, but it looks darned close.

One i bought:

Kataoka:

The metalwork on the side stones is what really makes me think it's Kataoka. It's so distinctive. Fingers crossed HARD because I've wanted a kataoka ring forever but they're insanely expensive.

Edit. If it's Kataoka and the center stone is .25ct (as TRR listed), then it retails for $8100. Wowzers.

Ohhhhhhh fingers crossed for you! I agree that it's very promising, I have trouble imagining people going to the trouble to set the side stones like that.
