The metalwork on the side stones is what really makes me think it's Kataoka. It's so distinctive. Fingers crossed HARD because I've wanted a kataoka ring forever but they're insanely expensive.

Edit. If it's Kataoka and the center stone is .25ct (as TRR listed), then it retails for $8100. Wowzers.

Ooooops I forgot to even look at sizing. It's a 4.5 and I'm 7-7.25. Hopefully if it's auth DK can size without ruining hallmarks and/or messing it up.
 
This isn’t my usual style, but I thought it was beautiful…so I made an impulse buy. Do we think this is modern or vintage? I can’t find anything similar when I do a reverse image search, so I’m confused. It’s supposedly ruby, diamonds and sapphires, single cuts. What do you guys think??

There is a tiny ruby in it. I do remember now (based on this detail) that someone did buy and return it.

Hello, can anyone help identify this cut? Is it vintage? Modern take on an old cut? It was listed as S2-i1 and color is listed as K-L. Looks a little lower than that to me but I’m no expert. I’ve attached a few pics next to my mined H and an E Lab. Thank you for your help!!

Edit - it does have a culet. The girdle is not faceted.

Yes, that's it. Here's her photo with the little ruby. She was returning it as the color seemed much lower than the listing.

It was me :) I wasn’t a fan of the color (cape) but the more experienced PS’rs disliked the nail head.

And for the record, I have changed my mind about cape colored diamonds.

I’ve purchased a couple of things from the seller and I think they are fine because they have easy returns. I have kept two things and returned two things. They’ve never given me trouble over a return.
