I am so upset that my ring finger is a 7! Dammit!

This is a fantastic emerald ring, very geometric aesthetic, looks like the side diamonds are little step cuts of some kind.

I didn't need it, but it was a bargain! Certed too!

I literally just came home from work to find that the big OMC sold, it was a great price, hope someone here was able to grab it.

Anyone fancy having a bid on this?

BIRMINGHAM, U.K. – A favorite ring of Sammy Davis Jr. will go under the hammer at Fellows Auctioneers on Thursday, August 24. The yellow-brown 10.75-carat diamond ring appears at auction two years after it was offered at Bonhams in California. The estimate is £50,000-£70,000.
The ring was worn by Mr. Show Business on many occasions. In March of 1973, Davis Jr. was invited to a White House reception which Nixon called “An Evening with Sammy Davis Jr.” It was a historic event, not only a marvelous performance but the first time that an African American family was invited to spend the night at the White House. Photos from the event show the ring on his little finger. He also wore it on his index finger during his tour of Europe in 1985.
Sammy Davis Jr. was known for his extravagant and flamboyant jewelry that mirrored his larger-than-life persona. Much of his collection was sold by Bonhams in Los Angeles when this particular ring made $40,312 against an estimate of $7,000-$9,000. This time, it is offered with an extensive photo album to boost its provenance as one of the performer’s favorite items of personal adornment.
Lindsay Campbell, jewelry manager at Fellows, said “I’m delighted to have such a piece of music history in our Fine Jewelry auction. When you think of the events where Sammy Davis Jr. wore this ring, it is no wonder that this ring has attracted such a lot of attention. As well as being a beautiful ring with a stunning diamond set in it, the fact that it is being sold with the photo album means that it is a unique piece of memorabilia which I am sure will be highly coveted by music enthusiasts.”
The current rate of exchange is £1 = $1.27.

Actually please don’t buy this. I want this like soooooo bad. Seriously, that setting has caused me to look sleep for days. I seriously love antique jewelry.

Yea… if you could just pretend you didn’t see my post that would be great.

- Sincerely yours, she who falls in love with something she cannot afford . Sigh. Lol. Back to saving for my dream ring.

The price on this is madness, but it’s because the stone on this is internally flawless and I color - don’t give up!

Sammy Davis’ ring sold for just under 70,000 GBP

Good - I’m glad I wasn’t able to (ahem) bid on that because - as much as I respect Sammy Davis Jr. and have fond memories of watching him on TV - I would surely have had that lovely stone re-set!

I don’t know anything about buying rubies, like whether a GIA report with a no heat statement is enough but….

No prices listed on these antique earrings, so you will have to DM for them, but look at the tulips on those diamond ones :kiss2:

Don't know if you are still looking, but I decided to part with one of mine. Size 6.25, let me know if you are interested!

@cloud_less I’d be interested to hear more. 6.25 is at a tiny end of what my finger can handle. Is there a way I can contact you?
