Hi Megeve,
I saw what you paid for both, and knowing that the tsavorite is around 3 carats, I think you got a fabulous deal on that stone. It''s a bit on the yellow side, and isn''t the top top gem color for tsavorite (how many stones truly are?), but it is still a very large and lovely stone, and will make a huge impression once it''s set. Congratulations!!

Swoon! I love those sugarloaves. The pink spinel is my favorite, but the green tsav is clean and gorgeous. How does the pink color look in various lighting?

TL, thanks for responding! Thats exactly what Eric said " An unusual stone and is a good deal!" I just wish they are much bigger in size!

Hi Fly Girl,

Yes, the spinel has a very nice dreamy pink color and it holds its color in all lightings.

They are both delicious! I can''t wait to see what you do with them.

Awesome!!!

Perhaps it''s my monitor, but the green looks to me to be on the blue side of green rather than the yellow. I''m also guessing that at 3 cts the sugarloaf shapes means that the spread is not so great - but that''s just a guess.

Have you decided whether of not to keep them Megeve?

Maybe, but on Eric''s website, it also indicated it was green with a yellow modifier. He typically lists the primary and secondary color of his stones. I like that.

Drooling... seriously drooling! I hope you are keeping them both?

Those are both beautiful, those are 2 of my favorite colors.

Both look awesome; so much better than Eric’s pictures. This is a difficult choice. Can you keep both? I’m being serious.

I am still debating with myself! I have a week to decide!

After receiving the stones, I find myself wishing that they are bigger! But they are both very lovely to look at!

Yes, at bright daylight, one can see the yellow modifier.

If you are all right with the inclusions in the spinel, it is something that warrants consideration due to the colour.

Actually, the inclusions are not so obvious within an arms length like in the magnified pics, but up close, one sees alot of ''veil'' (not sure how to describe it) but only in one corner. So, I suppose if I wear the ring with that corner facing back of my hand, it shouldn''t be too obvious!
