thanks for the reply! i left my dress to be altered, but it will be bustled later. i go back in 3 weeks, so hopefully it will fit better then and maybe they''ll be able to figure out something with the bustle. i''m definitely going to bring in your pictures to show them! so thanks for posting those!

i''m getting my alterations at the same place i bought my dress and they seem to be a very fair price ($70 for everything i need, though i didn''t need the hem changed). everyone aside from the one lady is soo nice, so i''ll wait and see how my dress looks when i go for my second fitting.

It''ll look a TON better when you go for your 2nd fitting - when I first tried it on I was like "OK, it looks fine, needs to be taken in a bit" but when I got it altered it looked AMAZING! Loose it looked "eh" but fitted great - you''ll be so happy when you get to try it on and it fits right.

Are you wearing a crinoline skirt with it? The girl said I could do a slim A line one under the crinoline in the skirt, but I opted not to to get that more fitted look after alterations through the hips.

Holy smokes lady. You were one GORGEOUS bride. Now, I''m going to pick my jaw off the floor (never looking in a mirror again mind you) and TRY to ignore you so I can focus on your wedding details.

and that''s good to hear that the 2nd fitting will go much better... i understand that it must look better when it fits, but you hate that in between time when you just feel "eh" about your dress!!

by the way, i think i forgot to say this, but you look great in the dress!! soo beautiful!! it looks like it fits you perfectly!

Congrats Sweetpea! You are a gorgeous bride and your hubby is a cutie

I had to do a double take because my cousin has the same name as your hubby and his FI has the same name as you and they got married in November! I thought for a second that you might now be related to me! LOL! But they are not from the USA and did not get married in USA.
