hey all
all of your stories are lovely.
DG - you must be BESIDE yourself with waiting to meet her ........ so exciting !
and please don''t be offended but I''m not British, if you lose the ''b'' and ''t'' and shuffle the letters a bit, then you''ll have it right ! I''m from Kerry in SW Ireland - bit of a paddy you know!
For my part, I used to be a firm believer in ''spark at first sight'' but I knew my love for ages (through work) before our spark. If someone had ever made me stop and think about him, I would have said I thought he was handsome but somewhat ''scarey'' (he''s ex-military, they are a species all their own, can be intimidating if you don''t understand them !! ). A lot of cultural differences too - I had never dated anyone who wasn''t from home until Peter.
Anyway, we both went through break-ups around the same time; I, being the girl, was being a little less in control than he and my first Christmas out of ''home'' I had been crying at work, sad, lonely and he happened by and gave me a big hug.
THAT WAS IT !!!!! A hug, and both our worlds changed !
After that we skirted around each other for a bit but started exchanging e-mails, then phone-calls, then finally lunch or whatever. And now we''re here, just over two years since The Hug !
Love can just bite you on the arse when you least expect it ! hehehehe !
