IT WAS SOOOO GOOD! Joss Whedon sang, Dan Savage made me cry (especially when they had a clip of Dan and Ira''s mothers doing a show with them), Starlee Kine and Mike Birbiglia cracked me up...so good. Funny and cathartic in all the right ways. It''ll be on the air the first weekend in May.

how is everyone friday morning?!?!

i found out yesterday that my work, is cutting a lot of people''s salary, and laid off more people. Even my good friend who is high up in management (different dept) is getting his salary reduced by a 1/3!!!!
all of our drivers are getting reduced pay, so i am assuming this will be coming down to customer care too. if it wasn''t for bills that i am trying to pay off, i wouldn''t be too worried, but at this point i am wondering "whats next?". I''m thinking about having E check into his health insurance policy to see if he can get me on as a domestic partner, only expecting that they will take away health care soon.

I know so many other people are going through this, but its that they shift around other people to fill laid off positions, rather than give it to the right person, without the raise (i get that we need to save money!). Instead, they keep on people who make WAY to much, and take away those who do not. arg! Our company is going to be run back into the ground by the people from the company we original bought out (who was in bankrupt at the time).
*sigh*

What is everyone''s plan? I am going to sleep in both days till 10

, and go buy many plants for our desk, and possibly go to pikes place market for some touristy fun!

Ew, that''s no fun Jcar. I swear its just a survival game right now to try and keep a job for the next few months to a year when this whole thing turns around.

My weekend is good. Going out to the bar tonight with a group of friends, and have a barbecue/cookout type thing on Sunday. Oh... and its going to be 80 today in MI!! Woot!

Hi ladies! How ironic is this..I have to go to a wedding tomorrow.

I''ve known for a months about it, but it sucks that I have to go in the heart of our own wedding turmoils. It isn''t exactly a happy subject in my house right now. Stinks pretty bad...but I''m a big girl, I''ll just have to suck it up and be happy for our friends. Doesn''t make it any easier though, ya know?

It was fun. I have to get used to my girl and knowing who to talk to and such. Its hard knowing where to go because there is so much. Question: Can you just travel from spot to spot using your map or do you have to physically travel on foot? I know in Oblivion you can pick a spot on the map, and as long as you''ve been to that area before, you can travel there with one click.

It was fun. I have to get used to my girl and knowing who to talk to and such. Its hard knowing where to go because there is so much. Question: Can you just travel from spot to spot using your map or do you have to physically travel on foot? I know in Oblivion you can pick a spot on the map, and as long as you've been to that area before, you can travel there with one click.

Nope, you've got to walk there. At level 30, you get a mount, so you'll move twice as fast. Once you've had a mount, it's SO annoying to have to walk again. ugh!

Mages can port you to major cities. Once we get out of noobland, you'll see your first major city. And is it ever pretty!

ETA: If you guys both have mics and speakers, I think we should use Ventrillo so we can talk instead of type.

Yikes. I''ve never mowed a lawn in my life. My parents wouldnt let me do it when i was a kid because they were paranoid that I would run myself over with the lawn mower.

Okay! you have until Sunday to get here, because I decided to put it off. I just have NO IDEA what I''m doing and I can''t find the owner''s manual.

Think I can duck the neighbours until then? I feel terrible having it so long and nasty, but today is really the first chance I''ve had since I moved in, and I don''t have gas and I don''t know if it needs oil and I''m not sure how it works or how to start it and and and and and....lol. So I figure BF and I can get it set up tomorrow, and I can mow on Sunday. Or even tomorrow. I''ll just rinse my hair but not wash it if it gets nasty. Or I''ll wake up early. That might be better.

Also, I have to tell you, I finally let off some steam to some of my friends about something that''s been bugging me, and I feel MUCH better. Funny how that happens.

It was more about a situation, really. I just got to vent *to* them about something I''d wanted to say, but I held myself back because I thought they''d think I was a horrible person. I''ve been doing that a lot, actually. Self-censoring is good up to a point, but it''s not always so helpful.

Anyways, I realized I''m not a bad person for disliking certain people or activities or behaviours. I''m perfectly entitled to my opinion. And I''m lucky that I have friends that will listen. Otherwise I''d go bonkers.

Awww, thanks Freke. I definitely have my moments, though. And about certain things....well, I''m well aware of my faults. I just like to think my awesome qualities make up for those pesky faults, lol!

Okay, I have to share how freaking excited I am about this haircut tomorrow. I big fat puffy heart getting my hair cut, especially crazy changes.

Tomorrow should be no different. Expensive, but no different.

I hate being in NC right now.

I hate not having my friends around and being totally out of the loop. I hate that I couldn''t just enjoy being someplace with friends, and that I felt the need to just MOVE again for the sake of moving.

My major in college was a small one, and we were all a really close group. I''ve found out that in the past 3 months, there have been two babies and an engagement and I totally missed all of it.

I''m going up to visit next month, but it''s so frustrating to find out that these great things are happening in my friends'' lives and I don''t find out until way later.

I had to go where I had a job. I had to. I just hate that it''s so far away from everybody, and that I''m terrible at keeping in touch.

Hey all! Checking in from sunny Southern California.

We were going to go to Single Stone yesterday, but our flight was 2 hours delayed, which threw everything else off and so we didn''t end up being able to go. Boo! However, in the car, K said that re than likely the next time we''re in LA I will have an extra sparkly on my finger to be able to try on bands with, so maybe it''s not such a bad thing that we didn''t get to go this time...
