Sergey do you mean "look" at it, or photograph it from various positions to create an over exposed flair?Date: 10/25/2006 12:38:08 PM

Please do similar tests with Mirror( small piece of Mirror) .
well, I dunno what serg wants but this is a pic of my diamond on a mirror - the top one is the "real" one, the rest are reflections (and refractions) this was taken on my first day before I learned a bit more about focusing - but as you can see here, this type of refraction is not dependent upon focus - it''s just there.Date: 10/25/2006 9:28:39 PM

What background shade or color should be used? Dark or light?
I do not know the angles - that was the first day I ever had a large diamond in my posession and I took an old mirror I had (old/thick mirror), cleaned it the best I could, put the diamond on it and thought it was cool so I took some pictures.Date: 10/27/2006 1:28:13 AM

Did you use mirror or prism?
What was angle between mirror and lens your camera?
Wow Dhog, it would be great to see the shots with a lot of lens flare then!!!Date: 11/3/2006 8:43:43 PM

this photo was taken using a fisheye macro lens to help
reduce the circle of confusion and lens flare. this photo is for Gary
I think the bottom stone needs a better paint job / and or better
angle from the lens.
