Fire in my 3 stone RHR (yeah, I know I'm wearing it on my left hand, but that's the only way I could take a picture of it as I'm right handed)

Ellen: Is this the one you were thinking of?

I'm not quite sure, what exactly is fire?
Is it the color sparks that flash out of the diamond or the rainbow colors that appear inside the stone?

Anyway, you have my permission to move over any pictures from my thread that you want into this one if you feel they are appropriate to the topic.

I may not know what "fire" really is, but I do know that this thread is HOT!

Thanks so much.

LOL! I agree! And yes, that was one.

A lot of us were under the assumption it was the colored flashes coming out of the diamond, but if you read through the thread, there are varied opinions by some of the experts on what it truly is. So, I have posted both (inside and out), and anyone else is welcome to also!

Speaking of which, after some discussion on what fire is or isn''t, it got me thinking about these two pics. Not sure if they qualify, if not, what would you call it? Besides really cool?

Thanks Suzy. You're not gonna like this, but I honestly don't know how I got them. When I got my ring, the monitor on my computer was going out. It wasn't until several months later, when we got a new one, that I could see what my pics really looked like. By that time, I'd forgotten where half of them were taken.

Obviously it was on a reflective surface, I have several glass topped pieces. And I know everything was taken on macro mode with the flash off. But other than that, I don't know. Wish I did!

I will say this, try taking pics in all kinds of lighting, even if it seems dark. Wherever I took this, it couldn't have been very bright, and I've got some neat ones I took at dusk outside. Just experiment!
