nerf
, there are many of us that believe yes, H&A stones are the prettiest. Then there are some who either don''t see the difference, or, see the difference and don''t like the defined symmetry. They like the more chaotic sparkle on a non H&A''s. I would recommend trying to get to a high end jewelry store that sell Hearts On Fire, and have them show you several, compared to Ex/Ideal non H&A''s and see what you think.

Also, here''s a H&A tutorial that might help.

Last one.

It`s really remarquable how well this little stone projects fire, in all kinds of lighting. I am seriously considering looking into getting a bigger antique cut. I love how random its fire is compared to the fire off my ACA studs. As much as I love my ACA`s (alot!), I`m now a little smitten over this type of cut too...

So much to obsess over, so little time (and resources)...

Thanks for looking! I should be good for a while with the pictures.

Cachette--What an awesome stone!
I know you have to get it appraised, but do you have a guess at the color?

This is unique -- fire from the pavilion! Cool!

Phoenix, I like how you caught the fire from so far away. Most of the fire shots are up close.

Lumpkin, I like the fire in yr ring, very cool... I mean very firey, he he.

Actually, we weren''t intending to take any fire pic at all. It was a pure coincidence!

Yes, it is!

In fact, today I was jealous of the fire that everyone has been showing lately! I sit directly facing west in my office with a door that lets in blinding sunlight.. Literally, sometimes I put my sunglasses on to work. Today I decided to be constructive and take some new fire pics.
