He just cracks me up to no end talking about food all the time. He always gets me when talking about serving sizes...

I adore Mike Berbiglia. His funny stuff, and his serious stuff (like on this year''s This American Life - Live!) is all good.

I think I have the sense of humour of a 13 year old boy, because I adore Dane Cook and Stephen Lynch. And then, what''s his face...Dmitri somethingorother? He freaking cracks me up with his charts and graphs (like his pie chart of procrastination). Hi-larious.

I don''t know any of the details -- actually found out via Facebook -- but I totally get why she wouldn''t be interested in talking to anyone about it. How devastating.

Ditto the bolded part. Ally is such a sweet girl, and I''d hate to not have her around anymore. I do hope she knows that we all mean well.

It''s kind of funny how much you can end up caring about total strangers when you''re on a board like this.

Better for them as a couple of better for her? I also hope she comes back, I almost feel bad about what was said, some of it was pretty harsh. I agreed with it though.

OMG - I was reading her BWW post when it first started and didn''t realized how things had spiraled downward. I just read the rest of it and am speechless. I don''t know her, but I feel for her. I am glad to know things are going a little better. Thank you for the update.

Well there is caring and trying to help someone out the best one can and then there is pushing it too far. Seems like she's just got a lot going on that is making her feel down and its obvious that some of what was said just made her feel even worse.

Yes, and that''s unfortunate. However I do believe it all came from a loving place. I know when I''ve felt the need to give a little tough love, it''s always the LOVE part that makes me say it. The thing with online forums and not knowing people IRL is that sometimes it''s hard to translate different styles of showing love through the written word, where you miss gestures, expressions, and inflection.

You know how you can be in a bad situation, then once you''re out of it you think, "wow, why didn''t anyone say anything before?!"

If they did, it wouldn''t have mattered; you wouldn''t have listened anyway. People are trying to get her to listen. That''s all.

I always feel so bad because my work days are so screwed up that I''m never really on in time to be a very active part in these discussions, so these are the thing I wanted to say:

as for me, i actually get two days off in a row (whatever will i do with myself?!)
today i might run down to the casino and apply for something and anything. weather permitting i''ll be going swimming with at least one friend this afternoon, but i might swim some while she''s at work. then it''s off to have fun with dresses and shoes and get pictures. tomorrow my sis has a softball game in the morning, don''t know what i''m doing in the afternoon, and i''m probably going to her special olympics banquet in the evening, unless they couldn''t add me in. sunday''s all work.

Morning ladies! I''m so glad to hear Ally is doing better, whether its better for her or better for them. Doesn''t matter, as long as life is looking up for her. I heard all the talk about how worried you girls were about her, so I went and searched for the post, and read the entire thing yesterday!! It made me feel awful for her and I do hope she comes back to chat with us sometime!

As for my weekend...I fly out today to start my week and a half vacation! So excited!! We have a wedding to go to in Indiana tomorrow, (FFs cousin) Sunday we''ll celebrate father''s day with his family, and then I drive (along with the rest of his family...aunts, uncles, cousins included!) down to Tennesse to spend a week on a house boat. So yeah, I''m super excited, but super nervous at the same time, as I will be the only one not related by blood or marriage. Should be interesting.

Hope you ladies all have a wonderful weekend, and have a fabulous week next week!

have him take you to the engineering fountain and pedestrian bridge at night. the pedestrian bridge is quite possibly my favorite place in the world.

well i was for 1.5 years and wish i had never left, but there was a tornado involved and such. i''ll always bleed black and gold though

and if in fact you are headed to monticello, and your trip to TN takes you straight down 41, you''ll drive through my city, well ish, you''ll go through evansville i''m technically in the next twon over, but only because i''m barely in the county line.
