Anyone still eating turkey?

We''ve almost finished ours.

Thursday: Thanksgiving dinner
Friday: same stuff re-heated
Saturday: shredded turkey with barbeque sauce on sandwiches
Sunday: turkey pot pie
Monday: turkey pot pie day 2
Tuesday: turkey soup
Wednesday: turkey soup day 2

We finally did last nght. No more turkey!!

Okay, sunny, you''re good then! Go for it...and get me one too while you''re at it!

I''m excited about the appointment. I am sure they have the same policy as Kleinfeld re:pics so I hope the SA leaves us alone in the dressing room so I can sneak some...

I still love the Pronovias lace dresses although I didn''t really like the look of the lace gowns on me
39.gif
I did like some of the beaded lace ones but those were too small...not sure if Pronovias has beaded lace...okay, now I''m rambling...

I don''t want to try on dresses. I don''t want to plan a wedding. I do no want to sam I am! Someone please convince J we need to elope.

HIS: where am I going to get married in NY and not spend a fortune? This is getting me really down.

That''s one of the reasons (probably the main one) why I am having a DW. I haven''t even bothered looking at venues in NY!
Are you set on keeping the wedding here? I can help you look for something if you are. When I was thinking of doing it in NY, I was looking at the River Cafe in Brooklyn (it''s that place that you see from Manhattan with the lights by the Brooklyn Bridge) but I never priced them!

I priced them! Very expensive, and limited to about 60 people, I think? Ah, yes. At the time, they quoted $275pp in the evening, and $225pp in the daytime.

ETA: And you can have up to 80 seated guests. They also told me you can only do open bar during cocktail hour, and after that it's only wine and beer, and pay-per-cocktail.

We have at least 150 ppl.

DW would cut a lot though. I don''t know. I was considering maybe doing it in Boston. HH - How were prices when you were planning?

B, I went to a wedding here once and it was gorgeous. It is in the Bronx, might not be as much...

Marina Del Rey

ETA: Check it out, it's not like in the middle of the Grand Concourse or anything! It's on the water, very secluded, not really Bronx at all! Just felt the need to clarify LOL!

People also like the Battery Gardens in downtown Manhattan, and Water''s Edge in LIC (Queens), but I haven''t priced those!

I''m considering them.

Bia, do you have a price per person you''d like to stay around?

yea, $50

Not more than $100-$120. Battery Gardens is somewhere around there but they don''t include things like the cake. Plus it''s way the hell downtown and that presents a problem if we decide to use a church.

Ummmm B, I edited my post above in case you didn''t notice!

lmao.

I hear ya! I sort of wanted New York Botanical but my FSIL already got married there!!!

It would have been perfect because I could have used the university chapel (Fordham is across the street) and there is plenty of parking. Plus during Christmas they have all the lights strung everywhere...its really pretty.

I got married at this place!!! I love it. It''s so pretty, totally not Bronx-like AT ALL. Beautiful view of the water and I just love the inside and the gazebo outside by the water.

Ugh, my MIL is so frustrating. She''ll email DH, his brother, and brother''s wife (but not me), and say "Hi Family" and give them some kind of family news. Nice, right? Because I don''t count as family...
