ok ladies, talk to me about something anything, I am seriously going INSANE waiting for him to propose already! I am going out of my mind. The ring is sitting in our house; it needs to be on my poor naked finger
39.gif
What do you think he''s waiting for?
I did ask him with the deal was. He admitted that the house has been throwing him off. When we went in and designed the ring, etc we didnt even know we were moving yet cause our house hadnt sold, so we didnt even know the next house we were buying at that point. We pretty much sold our house and found one in a matter of a month. We closed on the houise we were selling and the house we were buying like a week apart. It wasnt until after we designed the ring and it was almost complete that we had bought this new house that ended up having a kitchen that needed to be renovated. But by this point, there was no way of holding off on the ring until things calmed down. So now he is doing ALLL of the work himself. So he comes home from working 6am-4pm, and then is immediately working on the house until he goes to bed. So he told me its stressing him out, and not allowing him to focus on what he is trying to do for proposing and giving me something i deserve. Also said he wants to be able to be there for me with all the "post proposal aftermath" lol, ie: parents meeting, planning, etc. and that he wont be able to focus on that if he is dealing with the kitchen.

I understand where he is coming from, and appreciate him taking that into consideration, it just REALLY sucks. lol

It will happen soon, no worries

Good morning/afternoon everyone!

elle - I hope you feel better!

I''ve been having SO much trouble with PS this morning. The website is taking about 2 minutes to load each page, and for about 2 hours it just wouldn''t come up at all. I''m not sure why it''s been such a problem this morning. Hopefully it''ll get better soon because even after only having trouble with it for 3 hours I miss PS!

Hang in there NakedFinger! I know that sounds easier said than done
20.gif
lol

Morning Lilac! I''m not sure why you would be having that problem with PS. It''s working fine for me. Are you having issues with other websites as well?

Do you like travel? I find looking into and talking about travel keeps my mind sane.
Thanks DG

We LOVE to travel. We typically go on at least one 10-day trip a year (sometimes two
3.gif
). We just went to Costa Rica for 10 days in December which was nice. We''ll probably go somewhere in Nov/Dec/Jan this coming winter as well. I''m thinking St. Lucia.

Goodness, i would LOVE a 10-day trip to somewhere. C likes to take short little trips during the year. I on the other hand, LOVE long trips...the longer the better. For example, we were in FL for 6, well 7 days in Feb. I wish we could have stayed another 4 at least, but than again, i wish we could have stayed forever!
We missed out flight back home, due to ummmmm....exercise

...and had to take the flight at 4 am the next day.

HELP.

Talk me out of buying the most FABULOUS dress I''ve ever seen. It''s final sale, $78 Badgley Miscka stunner of a dress in emerald. Perfect shape, perfect colour. I have the money in my account. It''s a cocktail dress.

Problems:
-No confirmed reason to wear it (might be going to a wedding in NYC in December, but might not. If I do, I still don''t know formality and/or if a cocktail dress would be appropriate)
-Not a lot in savings. I should work on my savings account.
-Not sure what size I would need, and I can''t return it if it doesn''t fit
-Not sure what size I will be in December, so even if it fits now, no promises it will fit when I need it.

But I really really really really want it. Dang Gilt Groupe sales.

Nope, just PS. It''s never happened before, so I''m hoping it''s just a weird thing today and will go away soon.

And speaking of traveling, I LOVE to travel. DH and I have only been on one vacation together (we went to California over Memorial Day weekend) but we''re planning our honeymoon for August - 10 days in Hawaii! I can''t wait!!!

Ummmmmm, im sorry i cant help, thats just TOO good of a sale to give up

Ok see....I'm jealous!
6.gif
You are quite the traveler aren't ya NakedFinger?
31.gif
I haven't traveled much lately but it's something FF and I are incredibly interested in doing and something I've always enjoyed. We are really waiting to travel together until after we are married. Gotta save SOMETHING fun and different to do together being that we have been together for so long now.

We enjoy watching the travel channel and looking into great places to travel to. So it's something that we talk a lot about and look much forward to!

Ditto. I would probably buy it.

Sorry I couldn''t help tell you not to!
40.gif

But what''s the use of buying it if I never wear it?????

princesss- I''d say buy it (What a deal huh?!?) But because you said you don''t have much money right now, it probably isn''t a necessity, you know? Ugh that would be too bad though. What a tough choice.

HaHa, once again just buy it. If anything, you can also get it altered if need be!

I''m a travel junkie, too. BF and I have been to Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, Florence, NYC, Marrakech, Singapore, and Thailand (a few cities in Thailand) together. And that was as broke students, lol. Living in Spain helped, though, to be fair. Now we''re busy plotting our next trip, but it''ll be a few years. Thank goodness I''ve got family trips. I can save up and hopefully get to Ireland and Scotland with my family next year...

Go for it Princesss. I like buying dresses and shoes, and often without any reason to buy/wear them. But I almost always end up needing them! And then you don''t have to stress. I would even wear it for a nice dinner out with your mans. Plus you prob. look fab in green!

I know, right? I''m sitting here DYING for this dress. But I don''t need it. I don''t I don''t I don''t. I will feel much better about having that money in savings than I will about spending it.

I think

I hope.

So, ladies, one of you NEEDS to buy this.

can i live without it.jpg

Honestly if I may say so....the dress is very cute but it isn't a 'classic' look it's more of a 'young' look so will it be just as cute 4 years from now when you might wear it/alter it to fit better? You will be older by then and think that it is too young looking to wear. I've bought several articles of clothing that I never wear with tags still on them! I either had nothing to wear them to, or just never wore them and now I don't think I ever will. Hate to get rid of it cause the tags are still on...So my advice is because you have nothing to wear it to, not much money, I'd pass. Something great will come along when you can afford it and need it!

Buy it. It''s $78. And if you don''t have somewhere to wear it yet--make M take you for a nice dinner sometime. I''m going to have to go check it out...

Amen!

Anytime I see a cute dress that I have nowhere to wear it yet... I always tell FI "Take me somewhere nice so I can wear this"

He agrees. Sometimes we actually do go somewhere nice.

HAHA....i do the same thing

You know princesss, I bought 8 dresses last summer on sale. I have worn all but one of them, and that''s because I haven''t had anywhere to wear it to, since we haven''t had the $$$ to go out to dinner. I love that dress and I think you should get it. It would look GORGEOUS on you girly. And that shade of green doesn''t come around a lot.

Heck, I''m almost tempted. Except that I already hit up the J Crew sale today....

(kidding of course) BTW, I'd SO MUCH rather save that $78 for my vacation than for a dress you wont wear often.

K so let's talk about Rome. I have a HUGE interest in Italy. FF and I especially want to go to Lake Como, Milan, Rome & Tuscany.
31.gif
Perhaps a honeymoon?

Ahhh I think I fixed my internet. DH must have knocked over the router and loosened it or something when he was leaving for work this morning. I just fixed it and now everything SEEMS to be better.

As for the dress - I think it''s really cute and a great price. I also sometimes just buy really pretty or cute dresses and tell DH to take me out so I can wear it. I did that with my birthday this year - about a week before I bought a dress I didn''t really need but was on sale, and then when he took me to dinner for my birthday I wore it and loved it!

buy the dress. i bought a $300 linen max mera dress in italy and wore it for a total of 4 hours. havent worn it since, never regretted the purchase.

ELLE! I''m thinking you could wear it for epics. That''s what I''m thinking should happen with this dress. In fact, I''m going to move the $78 over to my savings account. If I''m willing to live without it for the dress, it can do more for me in savings. And then, in December, I can take money out of savings and buy something I know looks hotter than hot on me. And by then I should have enough to get something pretty and sparkly to go with it. Maybe finally get my amethyst set. Yes. This is what I will do.

And DG, I''m adding Florence to your list. For real. M and I loved it, and would go to Florence over Rome ANY day.
