Um ok... why does my office hate Jewish people?

This is the 2nd incident I''ve had since I''ve worked here.

what happened?

Ok, I had an incident maybe a year ago about someone in my office talking about how Jewish people are rude and pushy and blah blah blah. I got quite upset, and told my boss about it. She apologized, and said she''d take care of it. I''m not sure whatever came of it, but I thought my boss was on my side.

This brings us to today. We have a very ornery old Jewish (obvi this is NOT WHY SHE''S ORNERY) paralegal in my office. I can''t stand her. No one can. I sit next to this paralegal''s secretary. Apparently the paralegal was being ridiculous when I was out on Friday. She asked her secretary to "find a piece of paper that she lost on her desk."

Well secretary got annoyed, obviously. You cant find your own dang piece of paper? Secretary complained to our boss about the paralegal pushing her around for the sake of pushing her around (we share a boss) and apparently my boss said to secretary, "Well she''s Jewish, they think they''re entitled to that"

.... this is my boss.

WHAT IS GOING ON?!

I''m seriously ticked off at this place right now.

I just dont get it. She''s an office manager in a law firm, and she says stuff like that??

And I dont think secretary knows I''m Jewish... so ....

The worst part is that it wasnt said directly to me... so.. how do I even complain about that?

i would not be good in that situation. i''d probably make a smartalec comment or three. (oddly enough i''m pretty sure i only learned racist comments and such in history classes, i''d never heard people called by such things or such remarks outside of historical contexts until recently. maybe i just don''t listen)

Just got the call. Not-Ferris''s biopsy came back clean and he''s cancer free!
