packing is tiring. Good exercise! You don't need to work out over the weekend then. You should be excited about moving in with your SO! Think good thought!!!

We're going to have a SURPRISE b-day BBQ for a friend tomorrow. You know what's the BIG surprise for tomorrow? 90% chances of rain! HURRAY for a BBQ day................ We'll probably have to cook everything indoor.

Maybe something is wrong with them than becuase im not excited. Maybe the issue is because im being forced. Hes being a good bf though, saying like well just my stuff around and make room for you.

O, that sounds like fun. I wish we would have out bbq already, to celebrate the patio, but i dont think thats gonna happen this weekend. Blah, well i hope you have a lot of fun.

Side Note, i am having such a bad day. Ya know the one were you should have probabaly just stayed in bed. Well i left work early, long story ill tell another day, and i came home, and baked a dozen of cupcakes.

My friends are currently in the LV airport. They're coming back today. One friend just told me she constantly feels sick and tired because of the heat.

I baked too much last month. My bf said.. he's gonna have cookie overdose and that he's turning into a cookie monster.

I'm thinking if I should get a ultrasonic cleaner or a steam cleaner for my ring and other stuff. hmmm... any input?

BG -- I saw your thread about the earrings. That is just ..... The ones you picked sound lovely. Before you and bf return them, you should take her looking at stuff and see what she likes. You may find something that is just what she is after or she may get a chance to look at stuff and realize how nice the ones you got her really are.

Jessie -- How is your dog?



Got home from getting groceries Friday and the car started humming and smoking. Called the auto-service center we like and got an appointment for the next morning (so much for a relaxed Shabbat...). We got up early and left home at 7:30 Saturday morning to get it about 5 miles to the shop. 1/2 mile from home the humming got worse and it started spewing smoke again. So.... turn onto a side street and shut the car off. I had my cell phone and called the insurance company (we have roadside service) for a tow truck. After 15 minutes on the phone I'm told the tow truck will be out in about 2 hours...
FI and I decided to stay with the car and read the books we had brought with.
The one bit of good luck that day --- 30 minutes later I got a phone call.... the tow truck was about 15 minutes out (yay!).
The driver was a bit shocked (he had been told we were just a flat tire and that we wouldn't be riding with him ) but did a great job getting the car onto his truck and made room for us to go with.
61,000 miles on the car --- our ONLY car.... so we're past warranty and into service contract (which may or may not cover but they were closed for the weekend anyway...)

Grrrrr....
So, the car is sitting in the shop. We'll find out today whether they can repair it or whether we have to have it towed to the dealership for repair (not because of skills, just because of the contract) and approximate cost (if service contract won't cover -- easily $1200+).

The shop manager took a look while we were there. The airconditioning pump is fried -- the wires melted and burned through stuff. I don't know how long a repair of it will take (or if there is additional damage)....
for now we're stuck in a rental.

So.... my weeked pretty much sucked.

I suggested bringing her to the store to look at it. He said "once she sees the price, she won't want them because they are expensive." After hearing and seeing what his mom did, I'm getting upset and pissed. My bf wanted to get her something SPECIAL even though it's so expensive. She doesn't appreciate it. I couldn't believe she thinks they're TOO small. What kind of person is she? I'm getting really pissed. Don't get me started.. She just thinks bigger = more sparkly = $200. OMG... I'd be too if I were in your place. Your bf must be hurting terribly over this. He really tried to get her something nice that she could wear and be proud of and then she does this

If it were me, I'd take her to the store and let her see the price. Maybe it would embarrass her into acting decently the next time she gets a gift. Then your bf has the chance to insist that it is a special gift for her and he wants her to keep them and wear them and be proud that she has raised (is raising -- however he wants to word it) a successful son who loves her and appreciates her.


(I should add that this would happen after many tears, lots of anger, and thoughts of returning them to the store and never speaking to her again..... then my logical/reasonable/rational side would kick in)

BG- i am so sorry aout the earrings and the SO's mom. If you ask me, she sounds like a real nut case. I dont knkow how i would have reacted if you were me. ((((HUGS))))

So we took the doggy to the Nureologist, and they really didnt do anything, but take him off one med, did blood, and O by some werid why while in their care, he RIPPED his nail out. So now he is in a pressure bandage until we feel its okay to remove it.

I just called my bf to see how he's doing. He's better. He just said "it's expensive.."

I told him my plan:
1. Tell her how much it is $600 regular price. We both think she thinks it's very very cheap, like less than $100.
2. Since it can only be exchanged, I'll pay my bf the money and I'll use the store credit on my mom.
3. No gifts from now on. CASH ONLY!
4. Give her $200 this time and tell her to buy diamond earrings of HER size. She'll probably realized that it's impossible. That would teach her a lesson.

He is supposed to get me a gift for our anniversary. I told him not to, 'cuz I feel bad for what happened with his mom. He said he'll propose real soon to make up for it.

I told him I'm worried that my parents and his parents might have argument because according to some Chinese tradition, the groom's parents HAVE to buy me some gold jewellry. His mom might not know about stuff like this. My bf just said... "whatever my parents need to buy, I'll just buy them for you." When I heard that, I feel so sweet. He would buy the stuff to avoid conflicts. I love him more than ever! His mom has a very good son. My mom knows about his mom's weird personality, so my mom treats my bf VERY well, like his own son.

BG- i think that might be the best option with her. She will never be pleased with anything( Thats like my mom), andd it might save him so heart ache. I am so sorry you two are going through this.

No, my boy doggie has some hlath issues, and we noticed a growth on his nose, so we took him to a special dermatologist and tried her solution for almost 9 months, and it didnt get better, She thought maybe it has to do with him meds hes on and she sent us to a nureologist to see if she can change the combonation of his meds, and maybe his nose might clear up. For 450 bucks today they ust took him off one med, and dd blood work. O and let him Rip his nail out!

He has Seizures, an enlarged heart and nasal hyperkaterous.

No update on the car yet. If I don't hear from them soon I'll call to see what's going on. It would be nice to know if the contract will cover it or if we've got to find $$$$ to get it fixed.

Remember last week I told you guys about a new student called the last minute and couldn't come AND BEGS for a discount? Well, I got up early this morning... and they didn't show up AGAINA! SURPRISE SURPRISE! NO CALLS, NOTHING! I called her cell. No answers. I want to leave a voicemail. Mailbox full! Well, I don't really care if I don't hear from them ever again. I just think it's rude. Usually I charge people for their NO SHOW lesson. I'll just sit here and play with my fingers then...

update: The mom called. She thought I was supposed to call her about September schedule. Anyways, both her kids are starting in September at different time. My schedule is too full to put them together. She didn't bug me about discount. I'll cross my fingers!

Good news from the auto repair center. The service contract will cover most of the repair. They got all picky about stuff and won't cover certain things, but that isn't much ($75 or so). They're starting the repair now and hope to have it done sometime today! (Yay!!!!! -- we can return the rental!!!)

And my final exam for pre-calculus 2 is on Thursday... Day after tomorrow...
Got lots to study but I think I'll be okay.

I tell you ladies something. I went out for lunch with my parents. We just came back. My dad was driving and we were almost back to our house. Then, my dad saw a ROAD CLOSED sign in the middle of the street. Since the sign is in the middle of the road and there are plenty of space to go from the either side, my dad decides to drive in. We couldn't see any construction ahead. Before I had a chance to say we shouldn't do that, it's too late. A lady popped out holding saying there's a road closed sign. We apologized because we're at fault but she was getting pissed. My dad wants to do an u-turn to go back out. Even though it's kinda our fault, at least let us turn around. She was like pointed and looking pissed and standing in the way telling us to just back up. There's no construction at the intersection, we just want to do a u-turn. She wants us to BACK UP instead. I told her to please let we do to an u-turn. She didn't let us. At first, we were sorry for ignoring the sign, but we're getting really pissed. So, I had to yell at her to let us u-turn. We did it anyways with her standing very close to the car. She was saying something like we're unbelievable. SHE IS unbelievable. We shouldn't have gone in, but we just want to u-turn back. I was so pissed I gave her a finger. Sorry ladies, I'm not usually like this. I'm so just pissed at her. Then I feel "bad" and shake a little bit. See, I hate arguing. *sigh*

yeah... of course my dad was WRONG LOL.. We're just pissed because of her attitude. My dad is sometimes... too... *sigh* you can't really stop him when wat he thinks is right when it's not.

O, nothing wrong with that. The Lady was being unreasonable, its not like you did it on purpose. She might be ahving a bad day. but you never know what kind of day someone else might be having. Gggrrrrr...Also,its okay about the finger. Im waititng until 3 pm to call the vet who allowed my dogs nailt o be ripped out, and going on and i want to talk tot the owners. I understand it was an accident, but they handle MUCH large dogs than my poodle. OBVISOULY no one was paying attnetion and was holding him right, or this wouldnt have happen. Also, they didnt clean it properly, there was so much dried blood it looked horrid. We put some perxoide on it, and it was bubbling at the site, which means infection. He is already sick, we dont need to add osmething else on the list that could have been avioded is someone was doing their jobs. I am so angry. Last night i wa ssad and cried all night, and got no sleep, the SO was pissed. Today i am PISSED, im silent Pissed, which is much worse for me, and he is sad. OUr baby cant walk on hi paw, it kills him, he doesnt want to do anything and we dont evne know if the nail is going to grow back
