Hi Mif,

Bg- your dad sounds like my SO but he would have just gone off.

Okay so doggie update. He still seems like he is in a lot of pain. He doesnt really want to walk on it. I just rewrapped it with some guaze. I feel so horrid. Good thing, i called the vet today and ranted and raved so much. They contacted our vet and worked out a deal that when we take him to the vet, they( the other hospital) will pay the bill to fix him up, and meds and stuff. Thats the only good a thing about it.

Anyways. That's good you don't need to pay. You must be heart-broken! I really hope your doggie will feel better. When BB's leg was injured, I couldn't stop worrying about her until the vet said she's ALL BETTER! DUST to your dog. I'm give you a BIGGGGGG BEAR HUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bigsmile:

Hey... I'm from Canada, you?

I started posting here since April this year. Before that I was busy over at the Rocky Talky looking for the perfect diamond. I might be engaged any day now. I'm so excited. :appl:

How 'bout you? Have you guys looked at any ring/diamond yet? or will it be a complete surprise?

Quick update: this weekend while in bed, SO's was asking me a bunch of what if questions, and what it willbe like when i move in.Than he was saying something( it was super late so i cant remeber) but he was like," well youll be living with me, and marrying me soon" BLAH.....i had to backtrack that in my mind.....Marrrying, he actually said it out loud and said SOON, hes not a soon kinda of guy, hes a Later or Sooner, kind of guy. Lets up he keeps to his word and its soon.

Mif -- I've been on PS since September 2009. Was LIW until March 5, 2010 (after nearly 6 years he finally proposed!). Now I'm a BIW and trying to plan a wedding while going to school & working. I still post in LIW because all of the ladies here are just wonderful.
Oh.... and I live in Washington state about 30 minutes from Seattle (little city called Sammamish)


Jessie -- at least they'll cover the bill for fixing the mess they made. I don't think it makes it better, but at least you aren't stuck with the bill for something they did wrong.

Our car is all fixed and we even had the 60,000 mile service done.
Should be able to instal the lights in the living room this weekend so no more sitting in the dark :))

Too- Thanks, im hoping it wasnt just talk, but him actually spilling some beans. Im still excited, but not. Kinda of lost the joy after monday cuz of our dog. Im so happy your car is fixed. ooooo, i do hope you get some lights. Imnot a fan of sunlight, but i am a fan of having some lights in the house. What do you gotta do?

Bg- I so hope we both get engaged around the same time. Would be so nice. Do you feel is getting super close?

Hows everyone's day going

So Doggie update time: We took the baby into the vet this morning at the expense of the vet that messed up. The vet was surpised it was so bad. He didnt clean it, because he said it would reopen the wound, so he rewrapped it. He told us to leave it on until Friday, and to keep him on the painkillers. He also said he didnt know if the nail will grow back. He doesnt know if the cell was ripped out that causes the nail to grow. So we just have to wait to see. He said he would be in pain for awhile, but he wrapped it well enough that hopefully he can walk. We will clean it on friday night, ver gently. I feel a little better, but stressed. ( Im a worrier and have panic attacks and have to take meds for it)

Side note, i did some nesting/home projects for the house. I made a wreath with out initials and than a floral arrangements that matches our formal room. Im attaching pics.

I have no idea when he'll propose. It will be a total surprise since he has the ring in HIS parents' safe deposit box. Lately, we've been talking about wedding stuff everyday. Sometimes he brought it up first. Maybe that means we'll be engaged very soon. :lol: Yesterday night, we were talking about engagement photos. I want to take engagement photos. Did you take it with your FI, Too? Oh! One day we were talking and he was like... "you know I'll propose real soon anyways..." :love:

I'm going to Portland during the labor day weekend with my family! I'm so excited!!! Tax-free shopping!!! :lol:

Jessie -- The poor puppy foot ;( . It looks like they really messed it up. At least your vet knew how to make it better -- and hopefully it'll grow back.

BG -- Yay for Oregon shopping. We don't get down there much but I love shopping tax-fee! (we usually get stuck with 9.5%)

We haven't done engagement pictures yet. I'm hoping to get them as a package with the wedding photographer but we can't book them until the deposit goes to the venue (which should be the 1st week of September!). I've got a few photographers I'm looking at but am also considering talking to the photography instructor at school. I've seen some photographs around and wouldn't mind giving a few students a chance to build their portfolios and maybe make a bit of money (plus we'd be able to save some -- or at least get a better package for the price). I'd really like to use the engagement photos (which FI thinks are just some crazy thing we women have made up...) as a chance to get comfortable with the photographer(s) who will be at the wedding. We're both rather shy so hopefully it will help us relax so we don't look all tense in the wedding photos. (plus if the pictures turn out to be BAD I've got time to find someone different for the wedding)

We're putting track lighting into the living room. We bought all of the stuff a while ago but just got around to it last weekend.... when we found they gave us the wrong track. :rolleyes: We've got it exchanged for the right stuff (the stuff we actually bought), FI ran the romex, and we've got all of the supplies ready to go. Friday we should be able to screw the track to the ceiling, connect the wires, and click the fixtures into place. And (with any luck) that will be that.
(we did our own installation for the same track lighting in another room already and the only difference is the higher ceiling in this room. Unless there is a problem with the track or a fixture it should work just fine.)
 
9.5% is nothing! Here in BC.. it's 12%. Now that we have HST starting this July, we have to pay 12% on food too!!!! We only need to pay 5% on food before. Everyone is so pissed here!!! Oh well! More tax on food = less tips for the ppl. I'm sorry! :lol:

My bf has a few friends who are SERIOUS into photography. We might ask them and see. However, like you and your FI, me and my bf are very shy too. Maybe a professional photographer can relax us a bit and tell us how to pose. We don't know how to pose. :lol: I guess I'll worried about that when we're engaged! :bigsmile:
 
Too- i cant wait to see your engagement pictures. I understand about paying for things correctly. O, that tuscks they gave you the wrong track. Thats crap. At least you got the right one now. I like Track lighting, its soo cool. Want pictures. Thanks about my doggie, im so worried, buyt firgure we are doing all we can. Thanks about the flowers...it was fun.

Bg- 12% is a lot...i couldnt imagine paying 12%. Here its only 8.1% sales tax. That is a lot....goodness. Dont worry BG, i was told that during the shoot to just relax, have fun, and think about the wedding. My SO doesnt pose well, he doesnt like pitcures and im so use to taking pictures do to modeling and acting. We'll see how is goes when he finally propose

that's why I love shopping in the states! You guys have BETTER stuff for a BETTER price. I never understand why any americans would want to come up and shop in Canada. :lol: Everything is so expensive here. BOOO!

It has gotten crazy. The 9.5% sales tax (plus additional amounts for stuff like bottled water, candy, and alcohol (to name a few)) is bad enough but we've got a vote coming up in November -- they want to increase this.... plus they want to add a state income tax. :knockout: We like to shop online when we can and order stuff from out of state to avoid the tax.

I'm excited to get the lights up and don't want to wait for Friday. Maybe we can get it done tomorrow? Hmmm....

We only got a couple of fixtures to start with. We need to see how they light and try out aiming them differently to see how many we'll need. We've also got to be careful to avoid having them positioned so they shine too bright in people's eyes. The best part is that they are par10 bulbs (I think we've got the LED par10s for these) so they use less electricity, don't turn things yellow and...... make sparkly diamonds really SHINE!!!!
 
Thats crazy to me about the tax. I think we got a vote comming up for higher ones too. Friggin A.....and all they do is fix roads here. :evil:

O thats cool, about the lights. Hopefully you get them up soon. My SO is obessed with lights. I swear every week he buys a new light or solar light or something. Also, the ones you got a good since it saves energy. I like green things. Take pics if you can when done, i like household projects. HeHe, gives people ideas :idea:

we had a petition here before about HST. More than half of the population hated the HST, but we still have HST. Government is good at taking our money. *sigh*

So funny, before they want to have 12% tax on pad/tampons. I was like "FINE!!! I won't use any pad/tampons, I'll just bleed everywhere. I'll make the city all bloody then!!!!" :lol: Now, no tax on pad/tampons.

O double dates ...hehehe, the fun.

As of right now, no no plans. My God sister wants to go out for her birthday so the SO and i might do that. He has to work on saturday so ill porbbaly just spend the day watching my doggie.

BG- maybe do somethign casual like a cool pizza place or something. I know here we have a few cool casual places, like SO and i love this place called Angelo's Pizza, its a local spot, but the pizza is soo good. We also like to go to downtown Las Vegas, and play tourist and get Big Margita's in the plastic cups and walk down the freemont street experince or Strip. Few weeks ago we went to a jewerly, well tried, show, and the casino had 1 buck drinks, we bought the extra tequila, and rode the elevator up to the ballrooms, and looked over the strip. We so werent suppose to be up there, but it was breath taking.
