Oh, I wasn't directing that at you Jessie. I just wanted to clarify so as not to compare my situation to BG's because what she went through was 1000x worse. I'm just dealing with the green eyed monster, but what happened to BG and her bf was downright awful.

Anyways, came back from the "double date." They didn't click at all. Lots of dead air. My bf was like "I TOLD YOU SO."

You guys are funny about how well I handled the FMIL situation. Thanks! It was sooooooo weird because FMIL was just laughing all the way. I'm like WTH, that's not that funny. About the diamond studs, she's keeping them. The thing is, she probably won't wear them. She'll probably lock them up at the safe deposit box in the bank. My bf said, she hasn't bought any clothes for MANY MANY MANY YEARS. She'll just wear the same stuff. I really don't know why she wants to wear diamond earrings AT ALL. Anyways, my bf told her about the price of the earrings. I think she should know they're NOT cheap. He said she didn't say anything.

I was wearing my mom's .63 ctw studs tonight. I like the size. I can't wait 'til I can get H&A cut. About the custom thing. I actually don't know how it works. Whenever I buy stuff on ebay from the states, I'll have them ship as "gift." I never had to pay custom/tax. I think that tax is whatever the tax here, which is 12% then custom fee/service charge. I really don't know. That's why I am going to ask the place where I got my e-ring diamonds first. Even my bf thinks I should try to look at that place first. If that doesn't work out, I'll probably buy a pair online from the states and pay the custom/tax. Maybe, I can have them ship to Point Robert WA. Then, I'll go pick them up. We'll see.

Maybe thats an idea, about buying or asking where you got your ring. I know when i buy stuff from other countries like Germany and China i have it marked as a gift. I hate that customs takes so long processing things though, that doesnt seem fair to me.

Hope you have a good lesson today, im pretty much staying home, SO is at work. Ill probably hit the libary though, could use a new book.

My bf has to work from home all day. He INSISTs that we go out tonight. hmmm.... I shouldn't get my hopes up. I finished teaching already. I have my piano schedule all work out nicely for September. Then, today, there are 3 students who want to switch the time. OMG I hate it when it happens. I don't want to move everyone around again. It's not fair for the students and it's hard work for me!

I'm going to go shop for nail polish with my mom. I'll show you my nails later.

Jessie, you're in LV right? Is it unbearably hot there today like it is here? It's too hot to do anything, plus I have no car, so I ended shopping today. At our mall there is a new H&M and I'd never been, so I thought I'd check it out today. All I can say is that place is very overwhelming, it's definitely not made for a relaxing shopping experience.

I went shopping with my mom today. We both bought cheap shoes!!! YEAH!!! I got a pair of Betsey Johnson earring. It was on clearance. I love Betsey Johnson's earrings. I want to look for some straw hats for Hawaii. Found some... but I might look around first.

BB took a bath and I cut her nails. She's so pretty now.

0.11ct stud VS 0.31ish ct stud.

I don't know the specs for them. I just know that mine has a lot of inclusions in them. My mom's pairs are pretty clean.

O cool BG- i love cheap shoes, i cant wear them but envy those who can. I have no arch in my foot so i have to be very careful. I like the earrings, i really love your mom's ovals. I am obessed with Ovals. Did you get nail colour?

I just finished washing our dogs. Well a full wash for one, and a spot for the other since his paw is still not healed. Blah, i so cant wait to put his little butt in a tub of water and soap.

Not really cheap quality shoes. It was $120 down to $35. Not cheap quality though. didn't get any nail polish. Nothing good.

My mom's earrings are round. The picture was taken at an angle. It was hard taking close up picture of my ear. What do you think of the size coverage of my mom's? Too small? too big?

So I did get some stuff at H&M, but the lines were too long to try them on. Unfortunately I don't like half of what I bought, so I'll be returning tomorrow or maybe even tonight if I'm bored enough. ALSO, my bf found us somewhere to live! I've been doing some of that paperwork and I am unbelievably happy. It's in the neighborhood I wanted and it's by far the nicest place that either of us looked at (and it's not even the most expensive). I can't believe how lucky we got, it's really perfect.

Those are some fun earrings BG. Are you on an earring kick or what? I think you could definitely go bigger, but also consider that having the prongs all the way around is making them appear larger.

I have wide feet with no arch so im really picky, blah, it sucks, and on a bad note, y nail polish smells like vingear, so im guessing its bad, but i dont have anymore here.

You think a bezel setting would make a diamond look bigger? Of course I don't mind going up in size, however I don't want to spend a lot on a pair of earrings. $1000ish max. I want to have more money for the wedding. However, I really want a pair of H&A earrings. I'm still thinking if I'm ok with a K color diamond.

I don't know why everyone always discrimates against petite asian people with small boobs, hmph. HAHAHA

Haha, that cracked me up!

I actually feel like bezels on earrings give them a smaller appearance, probably because the outer edges are covered. There's something about 6 and 8-prong settings that just make the earrings look so much bigger. Take another look through that diamond stud thread, I know there are a few examples on there and that is the exact effect the owners were trying to achieve. But I would only go that route if you really like that setting. Personally, I can only get 4-prong baskets. I am one of the few people who don't like martinis since they look so unbalanced, so it's all about personal preference.

We've been looking for somewhere to live for months now. We initially looked at houses to buy and then when we got within a month of our moving date, we had to switch to renting. I flew to CO last weekend and found nothing, but thankfully the bf came through. This is just one less thing I'm stressing about, yay!

I know i dont like bezel settings either. I agree with it making the diamond look smaller, unless its a really big rock. I actually like simple 4 prongs. I dont like a lot of prongs on my diamond. If there was a way to do 2, i would do with just 2. Silly i know, but i like for it to look like the diamond is just floating in the setting.

Usually for me, if he tells me he saw saomething its because he just noticed it and wanted to tell me. SO is the type to either tell me what he got, or completely srupise me. Thats why m going crazy, a calm crazy about the engagement and ring, i know nothing of it, dont know when its coming. He wont let me in on anything. Blah.

Well ladies have a nice weekend, and i keeping fingers crossed for you BG. Im heading out, SO should be home in about 30 minutes.
