Im so Sorry SC, i hope your family is well

BG- thats such a cute necklace......please dont kill me, but i forgot my camera, so ill just take pictures tommorow when i head home

Too- im sorry about the range, but at least it was on clearence

Im still at the boyfreinds house, we just had dinner. Was so good, i made him an bacon and cheese omeltle, complete with sausage, and toast and fruit. So good. Now im studying for my math exam tommorow, and hes watching tv, so i decided to take a ps break.

This morning, one of my good friends from Toronto sent me a text. SHE IS ENGAGED!!! She is like 8 months older than I am. However, her FI is 2 years and 7 months younger. She was talking to me before how the FI didn't want to talk about getting married yet because he wants it to be a surprise. My friend wants to get married because she feels like it's the right time at 26. I am so happy for her! They are each other's first. How romantic is that? They are planning a 2012 wedding. I get to talk to her about my wedding planning stuff. :tongue:

Bg, that is just so cool, and so sweet of him. Now you have someone to talk wedding things to, and vent too. At least its a 2012 date too, doesnt steal your limelight
 
Well, she's like 5 hours plane ride away. It's kinda hard to steal my spotlight. :lol:

I'm trying a homemade spaghetti sauce tonight. It's currently simmering, I hope it tastes good... (those with inadequate skills need to start slowly).

I thought my spaghetti sauce was less than stellar, but FI said he really liked it. I wouldn't make it again, that's for sure. Thanks for offering the salmon recipe BG, but I don't eat fish and I'm not keen on cooking it either.

I've got my dentist appt tomorrow, I'm looking forward to hearing what this guy has to say. Fingers crossed my teeth can be fixed!

I hate being so picky. Yesterday, I was looking at my ring. I thought I saw scratches inside the ring. My heart stopped for a few seconds. However, when I looked at it closely, I think it says "18k." It's not really that clear. I was so picky that I was staring at it for an hour with my 4x mag. Stupid. The thing is I can't remember if it was there before when I first got my ring. Maybe when they resize it, the 18k engraving went weird? I don't know. At least the Tacori stamp inside the ring is still perfect. Can you guys be BRUTALLY honest with me? I am too picky, rite? :lol:

Bg, your not too picky, but just careful, i would be as careful too if my ring didnt fit, had to send it back and didnt get it for weeks.

It's not a big deal. I'll just mention it to the guy when I order my wb in a few months.
 
LoL......okay, okay.....but im sure ill be just as picky. Last night C and i went out to dinner, when we got back, i went to go brush my teeth, came back down stairs and C was going through one of his moms bag, and was showing me her wedding ring and engagement ring. It was fun,
 
i told one of my good friends about the ring. He's like "get over the ring already." YES! I need to.

OMG... does that mean he's going to propose soon? OMG OMG OMG OMG . I think I'm having a panic attack. :naughty:

I dont know if that means hes gonna propose soon, he just wanted to show me her jewerly and engagement ring. He was trying to explain it, but i didnt really understand until i saw it. His moms was a black pearl and white pearl in a art deco design with pave diamonds.....not something i like, but very unique. LoL......
 
Bg- do you know of any Halloween type dessert i can make? For Halloween, C's friend is comming into town for the holiday, and we are thinking of having a party Friday Night, and than going out on Saturday and Sunday. So if we do, do this party, and C doesnt bring up having a party if we dont do it, what type of yummy sweet treat should i make?

Im gonna make some Autum decor for the house, im gonna start that tommorow actually, but for halloween, i have the perfect idea. Im gonna get some cheap big candle holders, and put candy corn in it, and than like skull candles, and like little spiders on it. Its super cute, and than the skull candles can be switched out for a brown candle for thanksgiving here.

For Halloween dessert.... can you do cupcakes with orange icing with tiny black bats/halloween kinda creatures ornaments all over them?

I just purchased an ipad screen protector on ebay. After I paid, I realized they are on sale like 30 mins after. ARGH! Whatever. :lol:
 
Hey Ladies! Sorry been MIA today, the dentist adventure was horrible and things definitely did not go well. I'm working on a new option and waiting for a call back, so hopefully things could still work out.

Super cute ring Jessie! We definitely need some handshots. I also love the sentiment behind matching C's horseshoe, ahhh too sweet.

I really like BG's idea for the halloween cupcakes, too. Everyone is so into cupcakes right now and you can definitely make them fun by decorating them in different ways. Plus they're delicious. :lickout:

BG - I would say that you were being a little picky, but that would then place me firmly in the crazy camp. However, the more you wear your ring, the less you obsess about the little things and just enjoy it. Honestly, I don't even examine my ring that much anymore. I just pop it on in the morning and go. I'm sure I've scratched the platinum a bit since I'm not very careful, but I'm not too worried about it. Things aren't going to be perfect, but as long as the outside looks good I'm happy.

With that said, I'm still going to ask Leon to fix my IFON stamp. :Up_to_something: If he won't, I'll survive. I barely even think about it anymore.

Oh yum, you are making me crave some delicious desserts. I could go for about a dozen cupcakes right now, that might cheer me up.

Honestly, I'm a little depressed about this whole teeth situation. I really need this last option to work out, I just wish they'd call me. I'm exhausted from crying about it and just want to go to bed. :cry: Plus, even though FI is super supportive and just wants me to be happy with them, I know deep down he's a little annoyed about having to spend thousands more on correcting them. That just makes me feel guilty on top of being sad. Not a good day...

Cali: I'm sorry about your teeth. Don't cry don't cry. *HUGS******* Things always work out at the end. I'll keep my fingers cross for you! DUSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT. I know I am picky. I know later on, I won't care. I can't even see it when I'm wearing it anyways. However, I will point it out when I ordered my WB. I really shouldn't stress the small stuff. I have a wedding to plan. I'm telling myself, don't be stressed and my skin will look nicer for my wedding.. :lol:

We might have found the restaurant for our wedding banquet. The manager put it on hold for us to think about it. We always go to that restaurant, so they will hold it for us without paying any deposit yet. We'll make a decision by tomorrow. We just need to check out the other place first.
 
Thanks guys, I'm going to speak to the dentist in the morning to discuss the situation and my options. I'm going to push for the changes and just deal with the headache of flying back and forth. Hopefully the call goes well and we can get on the same page...

I'm glad you're trying not to stress about your rings BG. If it's just the little 18kt stamp, you just have to remember that no one will ever see it and you're going to forget about it. So if it can be fixed - awesome. But if not, I think you'll survive. ;)

Great news about the restaurant! How far away is it from the garden? What kind of restaurant is it?
 
Cali: I hope everything will be fine. I know it will be fine, just a matter of time. =) I don't want my stupid concern to stop me from enjoying my ring. I'll survive no matter what. I never thought I would be able to get my dream ring. My e-ring is even BETTER than my dream ring. I should appreciate my ring and my FI, not be upset over something so tiny. Btw, it's not even a stamp, just tiny engraving that says 18k. :lol:

It's a chinese restaurant. It's actually on the way back to Vancouver. I would say... maybe half way.... so... 15 min drive from the rose garden. We've decided to just stick with a chinese banquet. It seems to be a better deal. Since my parents ALWAYS go to that restaurant, maybe they'll give us better service? The manager already waived some fees for us and hold the date for us until we are confirmed. My FI's dad will be inviting 25 ppl. GREAT! HOWEVER... my FMIL doesn't like ANY OF THEM! It will be a VERY interesting banquet. My FI and I think she'll be throwing a hissy fit the WHOLE day. Whatever. I have a new saying now.. "worry about it later..." :lol: I've never met ANY of my FI's relatives except for one of his mom's sister. I haven't seen her for YEARS already. FI said maybe his mom hates that sister now. :lol: My FI's grandma died a few years ago... and I have never met her. I would LOVE to meet her. *sigh*... I don't know why my FMIL is so weird. My FI didn't meet his mom's parents until he was 7 or 8. At that time, his mom didn't even say.. "this is your grandparents." He just guessed and asked his dad or something. :eek:
 
o congrats on the resturant. How is the food there, will you do a traditional tasting closer to the wedding date. I think the tasting are the best.
