I thought I would be in the clear from the Kays different languages commercial ... I was wrong! I saw it yesterday for the first time, and of course SO was sitting right beside me on the couch. As much as I can't stand all the engagement ring commercials, I'm hoping that they're subliminally giving SO the message that it would be a great time to propose

Do your SO's ever "subconsciously" listen to you when you talk, and then at a later time tell you or others the exact same thing that you told them and claim it was their idea/thought? Well mine does this quit often, I've been mentioning how I would really like to have some private/romantic time in Mexico with him, away from the rest of the group. I'm really hoping for a tropical proposal this January and I'm giving him idea's and hints that he can work with. Hopefully my messages are getting through to him (inception style lol) and he comes up with some kind of romantic beach proposal.

Hi Girls,

Haven't been around for a while just been super busy but good news- this afternoon we are going to look a stone that has been selected for us and I am told it is stunning! We have seen a few before but this one is apparently the one so I very very excited! I just hope it is so we can begin to set it and then it's all up to him I know the proposal probably won't be until oct 2011 but that's ok at least I know we have the ring and then we can just begin to save yay!

Okay Ladies, ive missed you....hehe...come back to the thread. Quick Vent, im at the SO's house, and his friend J came by to hang out. No problem right, no wrong...they want to watch music videos and drink, okay, thats fine, but im trying to finish up one of my two essays due for English that are due in 4 days. Now, you might ask why i havent gone to a different room, well since at C's house, and there is no wireless signal anywhere in the house, but in the kitchen, i am stuck listening to talk about music, bands, and girls on the damn videos. Aaaaarrrrghhhhhhh, am i being bitchy in asking them to keep it down, its not like i can go to the libary at school right now, its closed, or else i would.

They should be quiet for you. Drinking and music videos?!!?!? Isn't it like 11am there?

I imagine I'd probably get sick of hearing it, put on something super skimpy and walk out to dance in front of the tv -- that would get their attention. Then when you've got their attention tell them you're trying to work here so would they please turn the volume down.

Work sucks today. Lots of paper stuff to do. I have this feeling in the pit of my stomach that we're going to be audited again soon. (feeling was right the last 2 times). Phone line not working. Furniture in the wrong spot. (office got painted this weekend).

Calculus exam tomorrow. Computer programming quiz tonight.

I'm sitting here fighting tears. This day stinks.

I just tried to pay my tuition for next quarter and my payment was declined. I deposited my tuition money into my account so it should have gone through. Just talked to the bank -- since I put the money in yesterday it won't be available until tomorrow.... If I had waited and put it in today, I'd have it today.

So I have to pay tuition today (Maybe tomorrow -- if admin feels generous) or I get dropped from the classes I registered for --- which is a problem since it breaks connected courses (computer programming 1 --- computer programming 2) that are meant to be taken one after the other.

No one in my family is in a position to help at all and the guys I work for aren't an option so I'm stuck holding my breath and hoping for the best.

LoL....Too, that was a good idea, and no it was 10 Pm.....J finally left around 11 Pm.....aside from them talking, i actually got most of that paper due. Im so stressed, i cant wait for this semester to be done.

Too- i am so about school, is there any way to call the school and see if they can accept it tommorow. I am so sorry, or like Mae said, anyone who can lend you the money, and than you pay them back when the funds are avaible. That really sucks, and im sorry, im sure ill be in your sitaution soon though, but with school books. I hate today is sucking for you.


Side Note....Ladies, i officially am going to ask for all the dust i can get, espically in the main part of LIW. Why might you ask? Well Last week i mentioned how we found a jeweler and found the perfect ring, well we took some of C's moms stones, and none of them were real. Which sadden me, but C asked if we could see their books for settings. Well we started going there and there were endless options, but i kept walking back to the display of the ring i saw last week. The guy who works at the store, took the ring out, and we started playing with the Cz's the guy had, and started putting them in the ring. I have always had my heart set on a oval, but on my finger, i didnt like it at all.We tried the usual Princess Cut, Round, and Cushion, than I noticed a heart shaped one, and placed it in the ring, and i fell in love . The guy called the owner of the store who worked out a deal for C, C will be talking to the owner next week( stopping by) to start on a payment plan deal...the ring is in the back of the store, with a replacement head, and my ring size. I dont want to jinx myself, but i am pretty sure, i can say that not only did we find a ring, we found MY RING......

I called the school. When I finally gave up on speaking to a live person, I left a message and got a call back. Apparently "cashiering" isn't the people to talk to
So I called "registrations" and got a message to call "student services" where they had a message that said they are too busy to answer phones (no option to leave a message) and if I have a question I have to show up in person during "business hours."

Anyway... I called the bank. My money will be available to pay the school somewhere between 11pm (right now) and 6am so I'm watching my account for a bit before bed hoping to pay tonight. Otherwise up early tomorrow morning to pay then -- hopefully in time!

The school is paid!

The school's server was down last night/this-morning so I couldn't do online. I had to go wait in line after my calculus exam. Luckily the line wasn't tooo long and I was able to call B to have him get my student ID number out of my e-mail for me.


Now.... if my luck holds out I won't have to buy any books this quarter -- calculus2 should use the same book as calculus1 and comp programming2 should use the same book as comp programming1. Of course I have to double check just to be absolutely certain, but I was told when buying the calc book that it is used for 3-4 quarters.

I just got good news too, i got a grant for school, and they deposited it into my account and i didnt even know it. YAY...Money

After the quarter gets started I need to talk with the financial people and see what we can do. I don't qualify for grants or anything because of past loans but if we can find a way to get the old loans combined I might be able to apply for grants. That would be SUCH a huge help...

We do quarters instead of semesters -- although I'm not entirely clear what the difference is.

2 classes --
Calculus 2 (from 8:30 to 9:30 every morning M-F) - 5 credits
intro to computer engineering 2 (from 3:00 - 5:15 Monday & Wednesday) - 5 credits

My work schedule has to change -- can't start work until 10am for the quarter. I'll probably work something like M, W, F 10-2 & T, Th 10-3. Depends on how many exta hours I can build up between now and then, exactly how long (minus no-school days) the quarter is, etc.


How about you? What are you taking?

O wow....how long are your quaters?

Im still looking for work, so luckily i dont have to worry about fitting school around work. I have been looking and theres nothing, its kind of depressing.

Next semester im taking:
Math 120-4 credits
English 235-4 credits
Biology-3 Credits
Bio Lab-1 Credit
Music Theory-2 Credits
Dance-1 credit

So 15 credits in total. All classes are on Tuesday and Thursday expect for the Lab, which is Wed night for like 3 hours.

fall/winter/spring quarters are about 12 weeks. Summer is 6 weeks (but of course what would be 1 hour per day classes become 2 hours per day ---- BAD idea for math!).
