You know what happened at the store? The girl was like "OMG!!! You ring is stunning. Is that Tacori?" I was shocked. She is the first person to recognize a Tacori ring. :lol:

My mom is off to bed. She feels so relaxed now that we are going shopping tomorrow. I need to pick up my Wb and order my FI's wb tomorrow. Can't wait til I see my band.

I wonder where is Cali... I miss her. Are you excited for Christmas? Can't believe it's next sat.

Yes, im excited about Christmas, im just about done shopping. I didnt realise how late im shopping in the season. Normally im done by thanksgiving :lol: ....So are you ready for Christmas? Did you buy a lot for people, i didnt this year, i couldnt afford it being out of work.
 
Usually I don't need to buy a lot of christmas gifts. I bought a coach bag for my mom during the VIP 25% off. A giant coach shopping bag is now sitting under the tree. :love:
 
So it was my birthday yesterday. My SO, who is usually VERY romantic (even on days that aren't holidays/special occasions) got me nothing. Not even a card, not even a home made card..... the only thing I asked for was a homemade cake.... In fact I spent the whole day running around doing errands... giving him more then enough time to make a cake or buy one... he sang me a birthday song the moment it turned my birthday and said how increidible I was, and was in tears as he told me how much he loved me.... but mid day he called me saying he felt awful for not having my birthday present, but he had an idea of what he was getting???... ahhh ok...so tell me cause todays my birthday please. Nothing...... wtf?! *sigh*... brutal. :(sad ... and no cake...

So I just started a thread that he's taking me to Napa in February! That would be obvious that he would do it then I guess but I thought he would do it before then. Hmmm...maybe he's trying to trick me?

Have any of you read the 5 love languages? I think it is really interesting and he totally caters to my love language. My late dh wasn't very good about that but we didn't communicate that great. How bout you?
 
Sweet: That's terrible. Maybe he's planning something big because I think anyone would realize that you should at least get a card.

Beesha: I wonder if February will be to celebrate? I read that book years ago so I can't remember all the languages.

I want to curl up in bed with a heating pad and a good book and cry.

I'm just so tired and haven't had any time to get to the stuff that has to be cleared up so we can get on with wedding planning and when I have tried to do anything I find that we don't have the money so I'm just stuck spinning around and around with absolutely no progress on anything.

I do plan to leave right at 2 today so I can get home when there is still a bit of light and get some pictures of stuff to sell (we've got a whole storage shed of stuff that is mostly never touched and waiting to be sold/donated/tossed/organized). Probably won't amount to much, but that money might be enough to pay one of our bills and once that gets started going again there is the potential for actually being able to save some every month and (if we're really lucky) maybe a reasonable size check too.

I've still got cleaning to do and I REALLY need to review last quarter's programming stuff before the next quarter starts (Jan 4)


Oh.... and I hurt my back/neck moving a heavy piece of furniture on Sunday.
 
O too, i am so sorry Hon, i really am, espiscelly with the wedding planning. I hope things come together for you, and work out. *Sigh*, i know about wanitng to curl up and just cry...its the holidays and i am broke. * Sigh*, well keep me informed hon, i really want to make sure everything is okay with you.
 
You know.... it's kind of funny... money isn't everything but it really stinks when you don't have it. I know that "money doesn't buy happiness" and all that but..... how can you be happy when you're stuck juggling bills trying to just keep up?

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. Try to remember that you don't have to have big piles of presents to make great memories. It is the little touches (yummy smells of stuff baking and just being together) that you'll remember later.
My favorite memories of Christmas (I converted to Judaism) are of gingerbread cookies fresh out of the oven, setting out decorations with grandma, sitting and looking at the fire with a cup of hot chocolate, and getting to use the pretty silverware (and hearing the story about how Grandma got it!).
 
Thank you too, and i know. Im just a little worried about having enough foor, and stuff. O well, its going to be small anyways, with just C, our close friends( a couple) and my mom. Last year we have a HUGE dinner, im kinda of looking foreward to a small thing this year with just us. No idea what im getting, but i dont think its a ring, C said he needs a Huge box for my last gift, so im about 99.9999% sure its not a ring. Its okay, it will still be a good holiday.
 
I remember one year my grandparents were really excited to give each other their nice gifts. Grandpa had even picked out the one for Grandma by himself :appl: (this almost never happened...)

So they traded presents and we sat there watching as they opened them and then bust out laughing...
They had both bought each other a camera -- the EXACT same camera :lol:

LoL....that is so funny. It sounds like something C and i would do. LoL....i cant wait to give him his Dam cans of Squid....i bought him like 4 cans....they were in the very back, and were almost gone. I never want to hear him complain about the fact that i dont eat fish, or seafood, i buy him his cans

Jessie, I love your bangs! That hair style really suits you, I wish my hair looks that good at the end of a night. I have the finest/thinnest hair ever. PS> is that your natural eye colour? I love them.

I also am 99.9999% sure that I won't be getting a ring for christmas, we actually agreed to not getting each other anything since we just spent a ton of money on appliances and a sectional ... not to mention the downpayment on our house. In one month though we'll be in mexico and that's where I'm really hoping for an engagement on the beach. Hopefully our bank account will be a little replenished by that time.

Thanks Glitz.....i used a lot of hairspray that night. I was a little worried about doing the bangs, but they turned out good. The next morning when i woke up, my hair was a mess, too forever to brush it out. LoL....no, they are not my natural colour, naturally im a chocolate type brown, but i love the green much better. No one even knows. Lol......its okay glitz, im about 99.999% sure i wont be getting a ring either for christmas, money and his job have been an issue lately for us. So ill see you in 11...lol

On Thursday I spent the evening with K running around helping him get his last minute presents. We also took the money clip I got him for his birthday back to Tiffany to be cleaned and polished. It was so scratched up and he hasn't had it a month yet! While there, we went to the second floor with the engagement rings and I tried on their newest design! It's not even on the website yet and we couldn't really hear the name of it when the associate told us. It has a cushion center(a modified brilliant instead of an antique) and a double halo and slight split shank with diamonds. I thought it was gorgeous. K said that's definitely the one at this point. I tried on a 1 carat center and it had a lot of finger coverage for my size 6 finger! It was also not that expensive. K was asking me if a 1 carat is ok with me and I told him it's totally up to him if he wants to buy something bigger than that but I thought it was beautiful. I still told him it could be recreated for a lot less! lol

In sort of weird news, as one of my Christmas gifts, he got me this diamond mug. It has a metal handle with a big diamond embedded in it and he told me you're supposed to hold it with your ring finger in the handle. I thought it was kind of a mean gift because when you open the box the handle is sticking out so it looks like a diamond ring but really huge then when you pull it out, you see the rest of the cup. He got the same cup for my mom as well. :evil:

Glitz -- Lots of dust for a beach proposal!

AE -- That's just mean... You don't buy a LIW anything that looks like a diamond ring or comes in a box like a diamond ring or in any way could even possibly be mistaken for a diamond ring! Men.... :nono:
 
Jessie: Your bangs are SUPER cute! I do my best NEVER to have them, I don't own a curling iron (Tom boy as a teen, still get the dang funny kink whenever I try to use one!) so I always tell the hair stylist NOT to cut my hair to short because then it doesn't go back in the clip. They ALWAYS cut it to short. Grr.

On a lighter note: LIW list has had 5 proposals! I bet a lot more are coming between now and Valentines day too! My SO little brother has been w his gf for 7 years and they got engaged over the holidays! So, that was one thing we've been waiting on (we'll be together a year coming up, and we wanted them to go first bc they've been waiting a lot longer. Everyone's asking us questions though bc we are international though...so exciting!). We are probably going to Ottawa to check out the rideau canal over Valentines Day (which is also our anniversary). I'm very excited, my dream proposal includes a carriage ride!

Omg Jessie. I want to give you a big big bug and a big big kiss on your cheek? I am so happy for you!!!! My Christmas is fine. Me and my mom had dinner with my FI's family. It went well. My FMIL called my mom yesterday to talk about cosmetic. :lol: they talked for an hour. Omg.
 
LoL.....Thanks Ladies, its so hard for me to drive, i keep staring at my ring, and he did such a good job. I cant believe i almost have 2 carats on my finger right now.
