Too, so sorry that you're having to go through all that stuff! I recently had one of my bank accounts compromised but fortunetely BoA stopped it before too much damage occurred and reversed the charges. One thing I would suggest you do though, is put out a fraud alert (it's free). Basically it puts an alert out to credit agencies where any credit that is attempted to be generated in your name gets either refused or they have to go through extra measures in order to get approval (I forget which). You should be able to google how to do this but it was advised when I had my issues. Even though your accounts you have now might be safe, if you think the person has personal information it could be likely that they have enough to start new ones. Do you have any idea who might have done this?

Fraud alert is a great idea! I'm so swamped with this whole mess that I'd forgotten about that. My mom had to do a fraud alert once so I can call and check with her too about how to set it up. I think what they do is put a flag on your information so when anyone does anything that requires a credit check they have some extra stuff they have to do.

I really don't know who did this. There was an odd (I believe they got spoofed) e-mail from Comcast in my work e-mail. The funny phone call came about the same time that e-mail did but I don't see how they could be connected since the call was about B and my work doesn't have any of his info. I didn't let anything download from the Comcast e-mail and called them immediately when I found it this morning. Spent over an hour on the phone with them. The mass e-mail spam that got sent out of my personal e-mail happened within 30 minutes of getting off the phone.

I've done all I can for today from here. Got a scan still running. Found nothing so far on this computer so that is good. Now I need to get home and check on those machines.

Talk to you all later :wavey:

Idea for you guys, you should post before, "ideal" and after pictures for motivation!

Great idea HH :appl: Are you going to go first??

Sure! I'll pull some together right now.

The first is the ideal-size 6 taken the day before my wedding in July 2009

The next is the "before," taken at 4 weeks pregnant, about 155 lbs

The next is the real before-i.e., where I am now after having Aidan at 171 lbs

As you can see I have a lot of work ahead of me.

Been a busy weekend making sure the computers are all safe. I'm still not sure if my work e-mail was gotten into also or just personal, but at least the computers are all clean.

We managed to get out into the yard and do some weeding on Sunday. Wow. No exercise possible after that -- 1 1/2 hours of heavy duty pulling/lifting/bending/stretching made me sore enough! We did get one whole chunk of the garden cleared out. There was this awful "garden" along the street-side edge of the front yard that had groundcover growing in it. The ivy covering the rockery right below it (we're working at getting rid of this too) had climbed up and was tangled in this mess. Then the grass/dandelions jumped in too. :nono:
We ripped out all of the groundcover and ivy (in that upper garden). Not sure what we'll put there. I think I want to just leave it empty until we get the rest of the ivy gone so we don't have to constantly keep rescuing the new plants

I'll try to get a before picture taken this evening. I don't really have any "ideal" pics to post since when I was at something close to my "ideal" weight, I really didn't get any pictures taken.

It doesn't have to be you, TP. Just a representation of what you're working towards.

I had some fun yesterday finding "ideal" pictures. (I'll post later today when I get a minute)

Yesterday was the first day of summer quarter and I can see how I got into this spot.... School ran late so we picked up a pizza then I was up until after midnight doing homework and got less than five hours of sleep. Plus skipped all exercise because I was just so tired I wanted the extra 20 minutes of sleep :nono:

The start of a quarter is always rough because our schedules get all mixed up and it takes time to get the new routine going.

Anyway, hope you are all getting some good exercise and enjoying some comfortably warm (not too hot!) weather.

Too- I totally know what you mean. A lot of the reason I gained as much as I did was putting the blame on time. It was just soooo much easier to go out to eat or order Chinese or a pizza! And drinking! Everything tastes so much better with a beer or glass of wine in hand! I've needed to realize that time is a big fat excuse for eating unhealthy though, because I could just as fast have a bowl of low cal soup or a salad in probably less time than it'd take for the delivery guy to get to my door :)

I'm having a tough time since it's summer and getting out an being social always seems to involve food. Tonight is a happy hour with some of the girls I've recently met that live in my neighborhood - I'm going to try to combat the calories by riding my bike to the place (about 3mi each way I'd guess?) so hope that the weather holds up this afternoon. I also joined a soccer team that plays on Thursdays so we'll see how that goes!

I think my ideal would be somewhere around Kate Hudson and Penelope Cruz who are both supposedly 5'6 or so which is how tall I am. Looking on the web estimates are about 110-115 which seems crazy since I think BMI charts would consider that underweight! I know it's not reasonable to put celebrities into ideals but they sure do look good. I doubt I'd ever be able to get close to 115 because I simply love food too much, but I was hoping to acheive 130-135 eventually and reevaluate.

I've heard mixed things about the weather.... Hope it stays like it is now for you! (looking out the window it looks sunny but not too hot)

The summer socialize with food thing is tough. Most of our socializing involves food so that is a challenge year round but there is just something about summer that makes it so much more difficult. The food also seems to get less healthy!

Yeah.... nice healthy soup would have been just a fast (faster probably) than the take-n-bake pizza we did. I actually love veggie soups so I'll have to try to stock up on those. Most soup I have to make myself from scratch. Not just because it tastes better, but because even the "organic" and "low-sodium" things usually still have enough salt to make me puff up the next day  ---- Still a lot better than a pizza though!

Your mention of summer social events packed with food made me laugh. I really hadn't given it much thought, but I'm doing this initial push to lose weight (which I plan to keep up with, just the initial motivation) so that I can wear shorts (okay... fit into shorts) for an event my grandparents host each summer where I will proceed to stuff myself with all sorts of deliciously unhealthy foods
Deep fried: cod, salmon, mushrooms, onion rings
sides: several potato salads, several pasta salads, homegrown veggies, bean salads, fruit salads...
dessert: fruit pies, cream pies, cakes, cookies, fudge, candies...
drink: homemade wine, lemonade, beer (sometimes home brew)

I try to stick to the healthier options, but people put so much work into these things and when they ask "What did you think of the ____ I made? I grew the _____ myself!" there just isn't much you can do but try a small bit. All of those small bits add up!

Hey Ladies, sorry ive bee MIA, had to get some stuff done. I havent found a picture, of my before, since this is a new computer. *Sigh* How was everyones weekend? I got my Monthly Visitor and i am bloated like a Macy's day Parade Balloon.

Great description!
Sorry you're feeling like a parade balloon. Hopefully you'll feel better in time to enjoy the weekend.

I just dropped one of my classes for summer quarter. I've been doing non-stop chemistry since Monday and finally decided that I just can't manage another class. My chemistry teacher last quarter said this class would be pretty easy since a lot of the quarter is just reviewing what we did last quarter. Heard the same thing from other students.... Yeah.
Now I just have chemistry this quarter.

Thanks Too- its how i always feel. Is it good you dropped the class or no?? Tonight is my last cake class, im slightly sad, but i can at least stop baking so much, C is getting chunky.

At least you enjoyed yourself and learned some new stuff! What are you doing for your last class?

It is good to have dropped the class. Making it through the next 6 weeks with both would have been crazy. It is available pretty much every quarter online or in person so it will be an easy one to register for later. I'll probably do it next summer quarter with Spanish.
I probably would have been okay if I had to do them both, but I've been getting almost no sleep as it is and just swamped with homework for chemistry. If it had been any other quarter it wouldn't have been a problem to have the two together but summer quarter is only 6 weeks long and still have to cover the same material as the other quarters that are all 12 weeks. (so instead of meeting for 1 hour/day, we meet for nearly 2 and lab days are 4 hours each --- double the lecture time each day, double the homework, etc)

I learned a lot, i MIGHT take the next level class, ill have to see. I have to take a cake, with an idea in mind, and finish it up there. Not much. Even though i have to make about a dozen cupcake for C for work.

O wow, okay, than its really good you dropped it. No reason to stress yourself out over homework and classes, espesically when trying to lose weight. Its like setting yourself upt o fail, i know, cuz i try. LoL......so how many classes are you taking. In the fall, i have 6 classes again, and i might try to fit another one in, or two.

I'm doing one class this summer (6 credit hours) and two classes this fall (12 credit hours).
Chemistry summer followed by chemistry (next in line) and engineering physics in fall.

I always have a   moment when you say how many classes you are taking! The semester vs quarter thing is still strange for me so when you say 6 classes, I'm thinking of something like 30-36 credit hours!

O nice, i so envy you with quaters, i wish our school did that. Thats a lot of chem. O no, my 6 classes is 16 credits...i wish it were 30, i would be jumping for joy. LoL....to help, i think im going to do 2 online courses at the community college, that i need as pre-reqs. In the fall, im taking a piano class, 2 psy classes, Bio with Lab, and Cuisine and Culture( its a multi-cultural class, which is a requirement), and depending if my favorite professor, teaches an upperdivision course, i might take his course.

Sounds like a busy semester! Piano and cuisine should be fun though. You must have the whole "learning distribution area" requirement thing too  --- I mean, I get that it helps make for a rounded education and all, but there are so many of them and with school being so expensive it just really adds up.

How was your last cake class?

I really need a vacation. I'm feeling completely exhausted and swamped and overwhelmed.

It is a busy for me, but i like it. I hate not having anything to do, or keep my mind busy. Im going crazy right now without a job or school. Also, our school does require you to be well-rounded, you need 2 foreign language classes, 3 multi-cultural courses, and some more stuff, but what sucks, is the classes arent that interesting. So it hard to find something to take, luckily the Cuisine class didnt fill up before i could get in.
My last cake class was fun, learned roses, how to properly write using icing, along with a border.Than decorated a cake, i did a 4th of July theme, with Fireworks on the top, along with a blue/red/white rose. I have to make cupcakes for C's job today, so i gotta go get some more frosting today. I signed up for the second class last night,it was being offerred at 50% off, so i firgured why not. It will give me something to do, and it was only 22 bucks.
Also,down 5 lbs.

Why do you need a vacation, whats wrong hon?

Do you at least get a 3 day weekend?

I'm taking off from work at 11 tomorrow to extend my weekend. I can't wait!

I've got the three day weekend and I'm going to see if I can be out tomorrow too.

Very little sleep (managed 4 hours last night, which is an hour more than the previous 2 nights) and LOTS going on.
I've been working with one of our attorneys via e-mail/phone for the last few weeks and digging through fine print on legal forms to catch errors and things that could cause problems later. The other attorney is in a different state and hard to get through to but assures me that he's finally done with the thing he's been doing for us that has now taken over two years. Our tax guy needs a form signed by a guy but the guy won't sign until this two-year mess is done and now that it really does look done, he's beeing a snot so it looks like I may have to find yet another attorney (since the current attorney down there is no good) to push the issue so we can get this done.
House needs repairs, could be smallish but is very possibly pretty major.
B has been busy with work (10-14 hour days every day, longer a day or two a week) so we haven't really had much time together.

My hurting mouth isn't helping either. When they took the two wisdom teeth out, something happened and I now have TMJ. Non-stop achiness in the one side of my jaw that turns into pretty bad pain sometimes when I eat or talk. (dentist didn't admit it was caused by tooth removal, but I had no problems like this until they pulled the teeth and it has been like this ever since). Ibuprophin helps some. Those days where I can reduce stress some help a lot. There is a thing I could get to sleep with that apparently "helps" to some degree about 75% of people, but it will cost $$$ that we just can't do right now and might not work anyway. (I'm trying to reduce stress and manage it without over the next few months, if that doesn't work I'll get the thing)

All this non-stop major stress stuff is really tough on me & B together too. We're both just tired and worn down so we're both snappy. We need to just get out and do something. Anything really. We haven't so much as been to the range since January?

Okay... I'm taking tomorrow off with B. We need this extra long weekend.

Hope you all have a wonderful (and safe!) 4th of July :wavey:

Awww, Too, so much on your plate.ENJOY your holiday weekend.

Happy 4th of July everyone, im off to make a couple of dozen cupcakes for C......see you all tuesday.

Ladies, how are you? I have been MIA for so long now. I have been posting other sections but have been very busy! How is everyone going? What is news? Any exciting developments?

My only development is that the other day I was going to take a sneaky peek at the ring and found that the bag it was had been tidied up. So I now know that darling SO has looked at it (which I think would have to be the first time in probably 5 or something that he has done that). I am hoping that means we are moving along yay!!!

Hope you are all well.

We had a nice weekend. Friday we both got new shoes and a few shirts since we were both starting to look pretty sad. Sunday we slept. All day.

The fish feed was lots of fun (mostly!). I couldn't fit into my shorts (just as well I suppose since they are a bit.... short) so I wore a pair that is too small for B and they looked pretty good with one of my new shirts (and REALLY comfortable). Grandpa couldn't manage staying next to the heat of the deep fry pots this year, so B was invited to manage the frying! I'm sad that grandpa couldn't do it, but running the fryer is a HUGE honor and something that no one else has ever been trusted with.
I was in the kitchen with my mom doing the battering and serving.
By the end of the day, we'd deep fried 10 pounds of onion rings (fresh cut Walla-Walla sweets), 7 pounds of mushrooms, and about 30 pounds of cod.
I don't remember the official count, but it was somewhere between 55 and 65 people showed up!

Shockingly, after the deep fried yummy stuff and all the desserts I ate I'm actually not up any pounds! Still sitting at 175.4!

Oh the desserts!!!! Deliciously chocolaty chunky brownies. Dirt cake. Coconut cake. Rhubarb cake. Gingersnaps.
Plus a bunch of others I didn't try!

It was gorgeously warm and sunny. I think it was 86 the one time I got a chance to look. Little bit of a breeze. Did I mention SUNNY!?!!
Diamonds SPARKLE in the sun
Especially if you take them to be cleaned the day before and make sure to polish before leaving home

And..................
When we got to the store to have the cleaning done, B said "I missed your birthday. Do you see anything you like?"
They had lots of not-so-good diamonds, a few okay diamonds but not in a style that interested me for a RHR, lots of obviously lab-created (and not very good at that) colored stones but there was one ring I kept going back to. I've always wanted a ring like this one but I know what they usually cost so I didn't say anything. B saw me looking at it though and asked the lady to take it out. It is just the right size for a RHR -- not to narrow but not so wide as to make my e-ring look tiny. I'm certain the stones aren't all that great on paper (or even super close inspection), but they are eye-clean and cut well. It was the price I expected BUT it was on a big sale so B got it for me
With everything else going on right now, I didn't expect this. I was quite happy to just look around and get ideas of what I would like to get later when stuff has settled down.

So I got to go to the fish feed with amazingly sparkly diamonds in my e-ring AND my new diamond and sapphire RHR. Oh so stunning in the sun!
(I promise I'll post pictures, my mom has one on her camera that I'd love to see since it is the only one from over in the sun that day)

Talk about motivation to lose weight!
My new RHR is just a smidgen (like 1/2 size) too small for my RH ring finger. If I can drop a few pounds, I think it will fit without having to be sized. I don't want to have it sized up only to have to have it sized down again and I don't want them to send it away for two weeks!
