WooHOooooo!!!!
I am DONE with summer quarter!!!

I took yesterday off of work so that I could get some extra sleep, go over the midterms from the quarter, and go into the final relaxed. I think it really helped. I walked in calm and didn't get stressed at all even during the exam.

Now comes the waiting. She said she'd try to post grades within a few days...

Congrats Too, let me know what grades you got. Also, not stressing during an exam, almost always guartnee's a passing score.

Final grade for chemistry was B+

Not bad. I'd hoped for better, but the teacher is one of those with very high expectations and tough grading. She really knows her stuff and expects her students to leave her class knowing what they are supposed to. Challenging class but at least I'm going into next quarter confident that I know all of this quarter's stuff.

Ready for your b-day trip? Less than a week to go!!

Omg Too- Congrats on the B, that is so exciting. See no reason to worry, your smart! I knew you would do fine.

I cant believe you remebered. I am so excited and pumped and ready for my trip. I was just busy finishing up some last minute stuff yesturday, and i will tommorow like getting Kitty food for my cats at my moms house, and kitty litter. Also, I MIGHT try to find a sundress and try to stuff it into my already tightly packed luggage. I cant wait for this trip, i need it, with everything that has happened since the end of the school year, along with the school year. I only packed 1 swimsuit, I can wash it in the shower with soap. I packed about 4 pairs of shorts, too many tops, 2 satin dresses for dinner, and dancing outfits.
I packed Ummmmm, 4 pairs of heels( Im bad i know), 2 things of flip flops( might pack another, you can never have more than enough), and than a pair of sneakers. Im gonna wear a sweatsuit type outfit on the plane, thats black and pink that matches my sneakers. C always wears black jeans, but i cant sit on a plane for, 4 hours, in jeans or anything restrictive. My Big purse i carry on the plane isnt packed, but that always takes some thought since i like to pack SOME makeup, so i dont look like ive been flying ALL day whenever i get where im going. Silly i know. Do you go through so much when you travel with packing things, and bags? I know where you fly your plane you dont, but when you fly commerical do you?
I feel like im singing the song" Final Countdown" by Europe all day...its like a clock is ticking in my head...just 33 more hours. :appl: :wavey:

You're so close!

Comfortable walking shoes are always good to have along. Flip flops are super useful too.

Hmmmmmm.......
I haven't flown commercial in a long time.

My must haves on the airplane: Kleenex (allergies to perfume...), good book or two, munchie stuff (granola bar, dried fruit -- stuff that isn't super smelly), water (not sure if this is still allowed??), bandaids, hairbrush, mini toothbrush kit, camera (NEVER check this!)

Thanks, Im so excited. I have a few things to do, and errands to run today. Just wanted to check in with you first. Good thing, i so want a mini toothbrush kit. Water isnt allowed before the checkpoint, afterwards you can buy water and take it. It sucks, because they rip you off for a bottle of water. Ill check back in with you in a bit, gotta get my errand done, so i can back and clean.

At least they let you buy water from them

I loved my little toothbrush. The head snapped off and then clicked into the handle for travel. A bit small for actual use, but better than nothing if you're stuck on an airplane.

I'm heading home.

Have a great time on your trip :wavey:

Thanks Too, Ill talk to you next week when i come back and hopefully have some good photos.

Hope your vacation was great!

Not sure if you are back yet, but I'm around waiting to hear all the details when you have time. I've heard the food is great in that area so hopefully you had some time to explore the food too :lickout:

Hey Too, sorry i didnt check back in, when i got back, but this last week has been crazy. So ill start from the top

Our flight there wasnt too bad, there were no screaming babies or anything. Sadly the plane was overbooked so no extra room for relaxing. We didnt get into Daytona until 9pm there time, so i didnt really get to see the ocean as we were flying it. We checked into out hotel around 1030, and while the location was perfect( we walked around the pool and hit the sand), the room was AWFUL. The bed was super small( C's feet hung off and he is only 6ft), the room wasnt the cleanest, the blowdryer didnt work. The sliding glass door until our private balcony was ummmm, broke. When you went to go slide it( well it took 2 people), the glass removed from the frame, and the frame stayed put. You couldnt close it all the way.No warm water in the shower, but it was only for 2 minutes so we firgured we could deal.

Our first night, we went down to the ocean and sat in the sound, and listened to the waves. If we had more light, it would have been super romantic, not just romantic. We ate at a small diner( It was the only thing open). We went back to the room, and crashed for the night. When we woke up, i had a few bug bites on my legs. So we got some stuff for bug bites, and grabbed some lunch. Afterwards we went back to the hotel, changed into our swimsuits and went into the ocean. The water was amazing, it wasnt too hot or cold, and we had a few waves so we were able to body surf.( My first time, C had to teach me how, and the whole time his trunks were falling off  ). We rinsed off and than went and hung at the pool and went swimming. By the time we went back to the room, i had a few more bites and the ones i had, had grown and gotten super red.

After a quick nap, and some "us" time, :naughty: , we took a shower, went walking on the boardwalk than met up with his parents friends for dinner. C grew up next door to them, and is close friends with their son. It was nice to meet them, since she calls herself C's other mother. Which is true. Its the closest thing im going to get to a mother-in-law. She surpised me with a birthday card, which was so sweet. We spent about 2 hours at their house talking before dinner, and we all round over together. We went to this resturant in the New Someran area. The food was so good, i had a filet mignon with garlic mashed taters, and we had key lime pie for my birth desert, and her husband birthday. His is 2 days prior to mine. Afterwards, C and i went and checked out a few local clubs, which was in walking distance to the hotel. I had a few too many drinks, but it was fun and cheap.

The following morning, we woke up checked out of the hotel, and made the drive to Orlando. By now the bug bites are everywhere on me( Butt, Back, Legs, Stomach, Face, Arms) and a few had grown so much, not only where they red, but hard, and hot. The one on my arm was about 3 in. Long, and 2 in. High off my skin. When we got to Orlando, we couldnt check into the hotel for a few more hours, so we went to Walmart to pick up some cheap Disney gifts and got lunch. We went to the Waffle house, hehe, which is big in the south. After lunch, the room was ready, and thankfully was sooo much nicer. It was pretty much a one bedroom apartment with a balcony and a pond in the back. I wish i would have gotten pictures of the room. We had a Icebox in the room, a spajet bath, washer/dryer, Oven, everything. We took a nap, and than decided to do dinner. Well, all through dinner i couldnt stop scratching my bites( I know BAD), and they had gotten bigger. C was so worried, that he said we should see a doc. Well i dont have insurance, but luckily we found a walk in clinic at walgreens, and were able to see a MD. She checked out my bites, and asked how long i had them, i explained about 24 hours, and she told me it wasnt good. She said something about being allergic to the bugs that bit me, and going go the hospital if i cant breathe and something about going into shock. She prescribed me prednoise to take down the swelling( 6 days, and the first day i had to take 6 pills), and Antibotitics( 3x a day, at 600 mg). She told me to stay out of the sun, and if they arent better within 24 hours to see her or the hospital. C paid the doc, and the pharmency( 94 bucks in meds!), and took me to the hotel, and started my pills. He was very good at reminding me to take the pills every couple of hours.

The Next day we went to Disneyworld. My friend was running late, and we ended up spending more time standing outside of disney than in it. I was jus tthankful she got us in, and i saw it. We would have stayed longer, BUT it was 102 with 98% Humidity. C looked like he was going to pass out, and when we got to the car, and i stopped walking, i almsot did. Between the heat, and the meds, and 4 Hours at Disney, i was done. We went to the htoel and passed out for HOURS, and than went and had dinner.

That night we met up with his friends, and went bar hopping, but i didnt drink much, because i was super full of meds. I think i had more fun on the ride back to the hotel, listening to his friend try to sing a 1980's song OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER again. I was laughing so hard, i was crying.

Next day we just relaxed, and packed, but we did go by the pond behind us, and Iwere watching the ducks and animals. While we were there, there was a duck, who had a hurt foot. I felt so bad, i named him Gibby, and ran back to the room, and fed him chips. LoL...if i could have snuck that duck on the plane i would have. LoL.... While we were in Fl we checked out some swapmeets, and he bought me a turtle ring, and also a Pooh Bear. Which is proudly sitting in my bed.

When we got home, we took a nap, because our flight was at 5 in the morning, but when we got up for the nap we heard water. We couldnt firgure it out until we went in the garage and it was flooded. The hot water heater had burst.Whats the chances of it bursting within 3 hours of us comming back from vacation. I also found out, that i wouldnt be getting my fin. aid for school, since they said my completion rate had dropped( Dont ask, i dont fully understand the policy). So needless to say we were super stressed that first night back. I had to go to school, write a letter of appeal for my fin. aid. Luckily my appeal was approved, but i had to redo everything to get my loans. Also, i had to pay for all my books out of pocket( 600 bucks), along with some of my tution so i wouldnt be removed. So classes started yesturday, and i had one class, most of my classes are today. Its a long day, i started at 10 am, and my last class ends at 830pm. So im stressing abotu classes now, i have a Bio class, A psy class, Food and Beverage, A piano class, and another psy class which i though was more on the lines of Physiopsychology, but it a into into biological neuroscience!

Wow!

Sounds like you had lots of fun but mixed with some.... adventure.

That first hotel room sounds just awful but the seconds sounds perfect. I bet the pond was beautiful and relaxing. Sorry to hear about the bug bites. I get reactions like that to different bugs and it is just miserable. I can't imagine being covered in them on vacation. And no sun while in Disney World?!?

Burst water heater just after vacation :nono: :knockout:

The financial aid stuff at school is strange. I don't completely understand the details of it all, but I know there is a lot of fine print for stuff. I've been paying completely out of pocket (no grants or loans or anything) each quarter so I have limited experience with them. I did qualify for grants starting this last summer quarter but they have taken so long processing stuff that I had to pay for summer & fall quarter tuition and books out of pocket. They expect to have my paperwork processed by the middle of this quarter

Oh the stuff you've missed!

B and I went out Friday to the range with some of our rifles. Since our access key still worked (someone changed the renewal process this year :nono: ), I called to see if my grandfather wanted to come shooting with us on Sunday. He thought that sounded like fun. Grandma wanted Saturday though. Fine. My shoulder was already bruised, but if it meant getting to shoot with my grandpa I'd go again the next day and ignore the pain.
They came to our house for breakfast (1 1/2 hour drive so this doesn't happen often). I made French toast with my homemade challah but instead of maple syrup, I cooked up apples in cinnamon (imagine like an apple pie almost) and made a caramel sauce and toasted pecans. It was SOOooooo good.
Had fun at the range shooting for 2-3 hours. Grandpa brought some of his rifles and we brought some of ours. Set them all up on a stand and people came over to complement them.

Oh.... and there were a few days there where I was scrambling because it looked like we were going to have to plan to have the wedding in the next couple of months.

Grandpa has kidney disease and heart problems. They think the kidney is because of the heart. He also has melanoma. His melanoma has been managed (cut out) for as long as I can remember so hasn't really been a problem.
One of his blood tests came back funny so they scrambled to get him in to a cancer specialist two days later. They were pretty sure his melanoma had spread into his body.

The specialist isn't too concerned right now. She thinks the blood test was off because of the kidney (which everyone is pretty sure is because of the heart) so just wants him back in a few months to check him again.

Those few days had me running around searching for cheap alternatives because I don't want him to miss the wedding. Anyway, with the relatively good news we aren't going to do the wedding RIGHT now but we are looking at maybe shifting it to next spring instead of next August.

You should take the grants, its free money, even if you have to take it a bit later in the semester. I hate the fin. aid office at my school, its like they screw everything up.

Sounds like you guys had fun shooting. I enjoy shooting also, been trying to get C to do it for years. Im so sorry about your grandpa, its nice that he has more time, and im praying the blood tests are wrong. Have you started doing anything for the wedding next year??

O, yes, it was horrid being covered in bug bites, that got infected. They were so embarassing, and painful. C tells me its a sign we shouldnt ever move to FL. Hmmmm, i still say yes. LoL...

So im on my way to class right not. Boo, just one more day after today and than holiday weekend. YAY...Hopefully it cools off soon, its so awful walking to classes while its 106 outside, and you have to walk half a mile to get to class.

106 :knockout:

Have fun at class today and try to stay inside and cool!

We're looking at a few more places closer to home so the guests don't have to drive as far. Saw one last weekend and will be seeing at least one more this weekend. So far it is looking like the winery is still the best option. B wants me to look at the possibility of renting a charter bus to drive everyone over and then home again. We'll see. I think we don't need a bus if I can negotiate the rooms to cheap enough that everyone can just stay (they upped their prices a bit so they are up to 350-450 per room per night  ).
Also working at finalizing a guest list. We'd hoped to have about 100, but I think it is more realistic to keep it to 50.

There are so many pretty invitations and save-the-dates! I'm debating on printing them myself, having them printed, or doing something extra nice like engraving.

I have started to collect the corks from the wine we drink! Don't know what I'll do with them, but I've seen a couple of cute wine-cork projects so I figure I'll start saving now and decide what to do later

Im dying right now, because its so hot. Everyone walking looks so miserable. Have you ever noticed how the incomming freshman look younger and younger everyyear. I was in our Student Union, and they all looked like babies to me.

I cant believe the hotel rooms are that much a night. No one i know would be able to afford that. Also, i dont know about a charter bus, arent those super pricey?

I like the idea of getting the invites and STD's printed. It saves the bride a lot of headache, and they always look so nice. If you have a little bit of extra money, i think thats the way to go.

I never thought to save corks, i like to save the bottles, they make pretty center pieces if you have a dinner at the house. Just put some pretty flowers in the bottles, and a few tea lights around them, and your all done. LoL.....

So what classes are you doing this quater. This semester, i have Biology with a Lab, Development Psychology:adolsences, Behavioral Neuroscience, Food and Cuisine and a piano class. So a hard semester.

They really do look super young. It is always strange sitting there listening to people talk about parties and then complain that their parents don't give them enough money and their mom didn't wash the shirt they wanted. I loved the comment one girl made a couple of quarters ago --- "College is so much better than high school. I just have class for a couple of hours and then can spend the rest of the day shopping!"

Hope you stayed cool this weekend.

Yeah.... they raised their room rates a bit. It is a super nice place so was never inexpensive, but I really have to negotiate the prices because we just can't ask people to pay that much. Charter bus isn't that bad. I need to find out all of the details, but it might actually be something we can manage. What I'm not sure of is the fine print detail stuff that might make it expensive. If the winery is willing to drop their rates enough, we could skip the bus.
I do like the nice printed invites. We won't need all that many (30 would be enough plus a few spare).

Classes this quarter start on the 19th.
I'm taking the first physics for engineering + lab (6 credits) and the last of my chemistry classes + lab (6 credits). Should be interesting. I've heard awful things about this physics class so I'm trying to read ahead so that I'm a little more prepared.

OMG YES!! Ive heard that from some of these kids too. Its like, i know your not an adult yet, since you obvisouly arent mature, but come on!!!!

Yeah, we pretty much stayed in, and bbqed on sunday. *sigh* i dont even want to think about it. C's friend Joe( who i have vented about more than once here), came and his wife and kids, and they brought a cake( Nice gesture if she were sweet), and was like' see my cakes are good too, and it came from a box and doesnt have fruit in it. I dont like fruit in my cake". She was trying to show, that her cakes are as good as mine, even though i have had baking lessons and classes. The kicker were the damn sprinkles she put on top! Sprinkles! Come on, your an adult, what the hell do you need sprinkles for. O, and what made it worse, was i had a bite to be nice, but the cake was awful. It was mushy and not quite cooked enough. I had a moment of wanting to throw it in the trash right in front of her and tell C not to eat it, since he has a sensitive stomach and that mess could upset it. BUT i bit my tongue.

O, at 30 invites, maybe 40 you could do nice printed engraved invites. I would, hell, only having 30 gives you more reason to. If you have like 130, than no way, but with that amount, you can!

I hate when places go up in rates and prices sometimes, because dont they know we are in a recession. Hopefully you can work something out with the price, so your guest dont have to pay too much.

I have to take physics and im not looking foreward to it. its JUST MATH! Its good you picked up a book to start reading on it, it will help in the long run.

That cake sounds like something my cousin and I made one time when we were like 8  Hope you guys didn't get sick from eating it!

How are your classes going?

Physics should be interesting. The only pre-requisite for the class is calc 1 but the guys I knew who took it right after calc 1 really regretted it. I'll let you know how it goes after some additional prep -- I have finished all the way through calc 3 and completed 2 quarters of chemistry before starting physics.

We're busy trying to finish some projects around the house before school starts -- partially because I won't have time after (and many of these take 2 people) and partially because the days get shorter and wetter.

Our new (refurb) espresso machine is   . It makes the best coffee I've ever had. The old one quit working in a rather dangerous sort of way.

We picked up the new flooring for the kitchen yesterday. The old stuff really wasn't meant for kitchens and was so damaged that it cut my feet when I walked on it. I'm hoping we can rip out the old stuff today and put the new in by Friday. Might take a bit longer if we have to repair/replace the subfloor :knockout: .... It is probably okay, but I want to be sure since a bad subfloor can be $$$$ (like if someone falls through the floor into the downstairs  ) The new stuff just clicks into place so we're going to do the installation ourselves.

The kitchen will get a backsplash next week. We've had all of the supplies sitting in the garage for the last year, but haven't had the time to put it in yet. Another problem is that the tiles we got are marble and our tile saw doesn't have the right blade.
Anyway... I talked to our neighbor yesterday (he owns his own construction company that builds fancy ($2,000,000+) homes) to see if he could suggest someone and he said that he can just have his guys do it if we don't mind waiting until next week. Yay! They work with marble all the time and are even able to cut outlets out of the center of tiles! (something we were told by another place is nearly impossible)

Yay :appl: :appl:

I am DONE with a frustrating mess that has required an attorney and taken over 2 years of stupidness! The mechanic signed the paper and the FAA recorded it!!

All that is left is to show the document that verifies this to the d*#$ museum that swindled us so they'll sign the form we need for the IRS. Oh.... and giving the ethically-challenged attorney another $1,000

Great start to the day!!!
And ---- it is SUNNY outside :appl:

Hope you're staying cool and not being too swamped with homework!

Congrats Too..Luckily its done, and now you can plan the wedding!!

Sorry I havent checked in, i have been SWAMPED with school, and study groups and homework. Luckily, our football team played last night, too bad we lost. It was the first time, ive seen my football friends. I made a chocolate cake, with vanilla filing, and a solid choclate football. There was barely anything left, and what was left, i left there. Im at school working on a paper, that needs to be turn in in about an hour. I just have to go and print it out.
LUCKILY, its cloudy, and stormy, and rainy. So its NOT HOT...YAY. This morning, when i woke up, it was 68 outside. PERFECT!!
I finally got my fin. aid, and went and bought some stuff,a dn paid some bills. I still ahve a few more bills to pay,a nd than im holding on to all the money. LoL...

Glad the weather is cooling down for you! I still can't imagine living in that kind of heat all summer.

Still waiting for them to sign the one form to finish up the airplane legal thing. I just can't wait for it to be officially DONE.

B got his yearly evaluation last week.... Not only does he not get a bonus but he's been told that his manager has been holding HR back from sticking him on a "performance plan" but can't keep them away much longer. A "performance plan" is basically warning that you will be fired in 6 months but during those 6 months they make your life miserable.
We're scrambling to get ready for that in case his manager can't get him special permission to transfer to another group.

OOoooo ----- But we took Mon & Tues off and finished the kitchen floor. It looks GREAT!! I'll post pics later this week after the backsplash is done and appliances are back where they belong.

Yes, its nice its cooling off, I cant wait until its Winter, and in the 40's during the day, and 20/30's at night. Im so much happier when its cold outside. Living in Vegas, is like living in hell, between the heat, and the town. I really cant wait to get out some days.

I bet you cant wait for it to be officially done, its been a long time coming.

O no, I hope B will be okay. Its such a pain when your job is on the line, and they make your life awful. Hell, most jobs makes your life awful, but when your having issues with the job, its just that much worse. Hopefully, you two are prepared and have a backup plan. Would it affect your being able to plan the wedding??

I dont know when C and I will get around to planning the wedding. We still havent set a date. A HUGE part of it, is we have so many bills right now, its just insane. We have 4200 on his credit card, 500 on mine, plus my medical bills from a few months ago. It sucks when life gets in the way of planning.

Why don't you guys move up here to WA? It sounds like you'd love the weather. Yesterday and today are in the upper 60s with lots of clouds. This weekend is supposed to be low 60s with clouds and rain.

I understand the insane bills thing!

He HAS to get a new job. Losing this position is a certainty at this point. His project is something that lots of groups within the company want to use (and a bunch are already using it and saving the company lots of time and money) but it doesn't fall under his official job title. Evaluations are done each year based on duties of the official title so he's had a few years of bad evaluations (after which his managers have told him to keep working on the project because it is an important thing). If you get a single bad evaluation, you can't move to another group in the company and usually get put on the "performance plan".
His manager is trying to get him shifted into another group that can give him the "right" title to keep working on this project everyone wants. There is also another group that needs lots of people. B needs to talk with them but to get moved there would be "possible" but a huge challenge as it technically isn't allowed.
There aren't many companies that would be able (or willing) to hire someone with as much experience as he has. Age is also a problem -- they can't officially hire based on age, but this sort of job prefers people in their 20s.

The good news is that we live in an area with pretty much every company that would need his skills. We're also trying to get set up to run a company of our own rather than him struggling to get hired right now.

Not really sure what to do with the wedding stuff. Currently I've just had to set it all down and try to figure out what we can do financially to keep living. I don't even make enough to pay the mortgage (let alone the car and other living expenses too). We have no savings.

I'm scrambling to pay off things so that if he isn't able to transfer within the company we'll have as little monthly expenses as possible. We're both just so sad and frustrated right now.

O Too, i am so sorry hon. I hope he is able to find another position before they let him go. C and i would be in the same boat if he were to lose his job. I DONT work,i just go to school full time, luckily we have a bit of savings, but that is for his retirement, or if I need money for school. I really hope things work out for you. That sucks so much, and C would be in the same position since he isnt a young male anymore, and is pushing 50.

Its nice you two live where he has a skill that is preferred. C and I would need to move to a major hub area or a company that has a large hub, but we cant just move with 2 mortgages. O i wish we could though, im so tired of Vegas. I feel like I need a change of scenary.

Its a good idea to pay things off, or pay as much as you can. I need to do that with my car insurance and credit card, since i found out I an running out of money.

Why must things be so damn difficult at times?

I just got out of a study group for my Bio class, and THANK GOD, some of things we have covered in my behavioral neuroscience class has helped me in this class. I have my first exam next thursday, and im getting nervous, because i feel like i dont know enough to pass, and I NEED at least a B. I gotta get my GPA up to try and get into Med school

I'm sure the study groups will help with your GPA. I like flashcards too. Printing out the information by hand onto cards really helps me remember stuff and being able to keep them with me all the time (Staples has a cute index card holder) means I can go through a few at a time whenever I get a couple of minutes.

So.... this week has been crazy. Got the floor done. Tile is going in right now (I'm at work but excited to get home and see it!). Have paint (gave up on trying to match so we're just re-painting the whole thing).

And yesterday afternoon one of the checkers at Home Depot dropped a HEAVY (like 150-200 pound) barbeque/smoker on my hand. Smashed the palm of my hand (right by base of thumb) between the edge of the cart and the edge of the bbq box  The checker who was helping us and B were lifting it a bit so the guy could scan it and I was keeping the cart from sliding/lifting (which it had been). Another checker walked over and grabbed hold of the box and shoved before I could move. Didn't cut me (nasty sharp peeling paint on the cart) so that was good but I've got a huge bruise forming and blood blister type things. My hand swelled fast!
Best part was that after we left the store, I started having more pain and then got worried it might have broken a bone (I'm pretty sure now that it didn't, but if I'm still having trouble moving it in a few days I'll get it x-rayed to be sure) so I had my normal reaction to being injured or bleeding -- I got dizzy, nauseous, cold, shaky, blurred/blacked vision. Poor B was driving and asked if I was okay so I told him that I was trying to avoid either but likely about to vomit and/or pass out.

O, I LOVE flashcards. That reminds me i need to get more. My study rountine is...

Read Notes night before class
Write Notes night before class
Take Notes on notes from prior night
Make Flash Cards from Notes
ReRead Notes from class
Start New Notes...

I know Im crazy when it comes to study, and I TEND to do this daily! For 5 Classes. What has helped though with my Biology class is my B.N.S class because we already covered Cells and Chemicals, so the Bio class right now if like review for the other class.

O my, it sounds like you had a bad day yesturday. I hope your hand isnt broken, but be careful you could have a hairline fracture, so if you cant move it in day or two, and the swelling hasnt gotten better you should have it checked out to be safe, you wouldnt want the fracture to get worse if you have one.

I like your study method. Re-reading and re-writing and condensing notes really helps keep that information in your brain.

Staples has been having their index cards on sale for $0.50/package this summer. Every time I saw them on sale, I bought the maximum (2) packages.

My hand is pretty bruised up but the swelling seems to be going down so I think I'm okay. I'm watching it though because I really don't want it to be something more that I make worse by ignoring.

LOVE the backsplash! I'm so glad we had our neighbor do the work on the backsplash. He and his guys do beautiful work.

We still need to paint and put the baseboard in.
