From what you said in your thread, I''m sure your stay will be much shorter than most of us! I''m #37, and I''ve been on the list for 3 months and 6 days (and I probably still will be on the list for another 3-7 months)!!!

So you can imaging how long the top 5 ladies have been on that list...

Well it happened!!!!

Monday night... John and I were at Bon Jovi... MY FAVORITE!!! We were having an awesome time, and then Bon Jovi started playing "I''ll be there for you" (one of my fav songs) and he (my John!) pulled me out in the isle to dance.. so we''re dancing slow and then next thing I know he is on one knee, in the isle in front of everyone telling me how much he loves me and asked me to marry him.... OF COURSE I SAID YES!!! All the girls around cheered!

It was the sweetest thing ever.. we were both crying (first time I have ever seen him cry in 3 years!). I love it because for anyone who knows me would know that this is my dream proposal!!!!

It was awesome because one of my good friends was there with her boyfriend so after it happened and we celebrated we went, bought a round of drinks and went to join my gf to celebrate... and watch the rest of the concert with them!

As much as the time waiting was painful... this was the night it was meant to happen... and THANK GOD my ''fiance'' lol was stuborn enough to not give in and do it way before.... despite my nagging

Well thats my story... I''ve already told it a hundred times and I know it will never get old... I am engaged to my bestfriend... and what an amazing day I had.

Thank you guys for listening, and for sharing your stories.... and may each and everyone of your proposals be as memorable and sweet as you''ve always dreamed

OK, not top 5 yet, but, LOL, its not like any of us have INTENDED on being up in the top 10! or staying that long...sometimes it is just in the circumstances

Happy to see the other girls getting crossed off and I know it''ll happen for me when it is right.

Not a problem Wren! COngrats to Allison on your engagement! I am going to Bon Jovi in San Jose next month, nothing so romantic will happen to me, but it will take me back to the first time I saw BJ in 1989 when I was 19. I can hardly believe that that was 17 years ago!

I wasn''t sure if I wanted to be a "lady in waiting" (something about the way that sounds didn''t agree with me)... but naming aside, can I be added to the list?

My boyfriend and I celebrated our 3rd year anniversary this weekend. We even already have a ring (purchased in December from James Allen) so one would think it''s just around the corner... but... I have a feeling I will be here for a few months... at least.

So, not my first post but perhaps my first introductory one.

I''ve been lurking for a loooong time, and definitely fit the description of a LIW. I know that is going to happen this year and probably by March, then again nothing is set in stone(no pun intended!)

I LOVE and want my diamond to be an asscher cut,WG or platinum, antique setting/pave.

The best part is that I have a fantastic man and more than the ring, can''t wait to be his fiance and later his wife!

wine girl - My SO is a spender, so I know how frustrating it can be to be told "your ring will be expensive", and then see him buy tons of other stuff... But we talked and worked it out. His budget isn''t nearly as high as most PS boyfriends, but I understand that money is tight right now and he''s making a lot of efforts to be more reasonable in his spending habits and save up for my ring. Who knows, I might get more than I think I will! So, a calm, honest and level-headed discussion with your SO is the best thing you can do. Starting your own thread to discuss this is a good idea to get advice, too! Good luck!

It''s called PRIORITIES, and it''s something to discuss BEFORE getting married. My BF was on a recent eBay spree, buying "stuff." I started getting upset, until I figured out why it was bothering me. I thought if he is on a tight budget (due to child support and alimony), and has X amount of "play money", why not put some of it towards helping me more with household expenses (we live together), save some and then spend the rest. We talked and he understood where my frustration was coming from. It''s those kinds of little issues which will become bigger issues later if not dealt with now. Do not take it lightly. Just my 2 bits....
